Formed in 1988, BOD offers a party atmosphere that everyone can groove to! We are sought after for major festivals and corporate events that taps into the city’s long tradition of costumes and great music to bring New Orleans anywhere.... AND, we absolutely rock a wedding reception like no other!
New Orleans Magazine has recognized us as one of the city's most popular acts alongside heavyweights Harry Connick, Jr. and Rebirth Brass Band and we are multi-year recipients of New Orleans' OffBeat Magazine's Best Of The Beat Award, with a winning-streak from 2016-2022.
In March of 2019, Bag Of Donuts was inducted into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame as the first cover band.
We're honored by your consideration. As you know, entertainment can make or break a reception. We've heard this many times before: "We love you guys, but the costumes and antics seem like a high risk for a wedding, we're thinking about playing it safe." Which we say, "the higher the risk, the higher the reward! We'll win over the parents, the grandparents, and if your reception is kid friendly, they will be the first ones on the dance floor!"
If you're wondering if we can "tone it down a bit", we have a package that consists of a more formal looking wedding band attire for the first set and during the intermission transform into full regalia to kick the party up a notch to a level off the charts!
Booking Bag of Donuts is about more than just having a good time. It’s about bringing people together over past shared experiences to create new ones. It’s about the convention group that gets the boost they need to break through awkward formalities or the father and son who may not agree on everything but both can belt the words to “Bohemian Rhapsody.” It’s about wedding guests of all stripes and walks of life coming together around popular music to celebrate. Best Wedding Band Ever!!! My family and friends are still talking about Bag of Donuts and how much fun they had dancing at our wedding! Since all the songs they play are hits, everyone knows the tunes. Their painted faces and endless energy set them apart from all the rest! These guys take the cake!!!

We couldn’t have asked for a better band for my daughter’s wedding then “ Bag of Donuts” From the time they played their first song till the end of the night the dance floor stayed packed! Our guests had the best time singing and dancing the night away. My favorite moment was when they got my daughter and her groom on the stage with them ….the place went insane!! The amount of love and joy they put into that moment topped it off for me! Thank you BOD from the bottom of our hearts for putting on the best show and making Ashlyn & Peyton’s night THE reception our guests will never forget!!! It was one hell of a party!!

We had BOD play at my daughter's wedding reception at The Josephine in Pineville. It was epic to say the least! They were everything we asked for and more. There was not a person sitting the entire 4 hours of reception time. Every specific detail we asked of them, they executed. Our guests will be talking about this one for a long time. Highly recommend and I can't wait to see them perform again!!!

We had the privilege of booking Bag of Donuts as our wedding band at Race and Religious, and could not have asked for a more fun and talented group! Whether you’re NOLA locals or a couple booking your dream destination wedding in NOLA, you will want to book this band to keep the dancing and partying going all night long! They were so great at being interactive with our guests, and took the time to get the details exactly right. We also booked a string quartet for our ceremony & cocktail hour, since Jerry (the band leader) is one of their members. It was an absolutely magical experience and some of our guests didn't initially realize the music was live! They played classical and modern arrangements, including several special requests (“This Must Be the Place” by the Talking Heads was our recessional song). Book both of these groups for an amazing experience that will leave you and your guests talking for years to come!! It was an 11 out of 10 day!

We got married in Las Vegas but we’re planning a small wedding party (100 guests) to celebrate with friends & family and the one non negotiable for it was to have the Bag of Donuts. They bring the energy & fun every single time. We had a lot of out of town guests and they were blown away by them! (Obviously locals already know how awesome they are). Best night ever!

The Bag of Donuts by far were one of the best parts of our wedding! They were awesome and kept the crow engaged throughout the reception. Until this day, they are the one aspect of our wedding that people are STILL talking about! In addition to how great they are as entertainers, they were so easy to work with! Very laid back and communicative. I highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or event! They truly are the life of the party.

We had the pleasure of hiring Bag of Donuts as our wedding band, along with the Second line composed of the band members' family members. We cannot express enough how absolutely amazing they were—they exceeded our expectations in every way. The music played during the Second line was some of the best we have ever heard, and Bag of Donuts kept the party atmosphere alive throughout the entire night.
Our guests continue to tell us it's one of the best weddings they've ever been to and can't stop raving about the band and the incredible party they created. It was evident that Bag of Donuts is not only extremely talented but also professional and easy to work with. They were incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond by setting up and running the music for our ceremony as well. They treated us like family, which made the experience even more special.

Jerry introduced me to one of their sister-acts, The Peyton Falgoust Band, since Bag of Donuts was booked for the weekend. PFB was absolutely amazing from start to finish with their communication leading up to the wedding and then execution at the wedding. For me personally, the groom, music is a big part in my life - all genres. Finding PFB was absolutely perfect and whatever expectations I had were blown out of the water. PFB provided and played a great mix of music to cater to all aspects of the crowd. They were engaging and even let us, the bride and groom, sing our favorite songs with them on stage. The reception was an absolute hit..... UNTIL we got to the second line. PFB brought out the brass horns and lit the street up as we second lined to a local beer garden. I wish I could put into words the smile on faces throughout the crowd when I got on stage - it was priceless. I recommend PFB for not only weddings but any event that you want to guarantee a good time. My wife and I (along with friends that will definitely tag along!) will for sure be looking for PFB's local performances and attending. Although our wedding weekend is now over, it brings comfort to know we have life long friends in PFB.

This by far one of the best bands to ever hire. They are genuine, caring, and flexible. When our first wedding had to be cancelled due to COVID, they appeared via zoom for an impromptu short show on what would have been our wedding day to cheer us up! When it came time for our actual wedding date, they were even better in person! If I could give this band a rating higher than 5, I would!

Best dance band in NOLA. I've done three weddings, all with great music, and Bag of Donuts was absolutely tops. They not only have a deep repertoire and fabulous musical chops, but get the crowd moving and rev up the room with energy and personality. Jerry and the guys are amazing to work with, and go the extra mile. When my daughter's wedding was postponed (three times) due to the pandemic, they not only worked hard to make the new date(s) work, but also suited up and serenaded the bridal couple over Zoom on the original wedding date. That's just how nice they are. Everyone at the (real) wedding raved about the band, and the dance floor stayed packed all evening long. They are just sheer fun -- I can't recommend Bag of Donuts highly enough.

BOD is the absolute best wedding band! They are so much fun! Jerry is very professional and organized while planning the event, but he lets loose when he's on stage! It was the perfect combination. I never worried about hiring them and I refused to give them any direction because I wanted to see the full BOD experience. We had a total blast at our wedding and it was mostly due to BOD. Don't hesitate to hire them, they will make your wedding awesome!!!

Lucy and Jeffrey made all the decisions for their wedding except for BOD. Y'all were the only thing I insisted we had to have. Privately they questioned my decision to allocate that much of the budget into the band, but today I got the call every parent loves to receive - they told me I was right!

This incredible band made my daughter’s wedding an event to remember. The dance floor was PACKED from beginning to end. The song list had something for everyone, young and old! We had the privilege of having BOD perform for our wedding reception, and wow did they light it up! They kept the party rockin the entire time, and everyone had a blast. They were also kind enough to let my best man’s dad jam out on the drums with them for a couple songs, which made his night! We truly could not have asked for a better band to perform at our reception and would highly recommend them for any other wedding reception or special event.

Can not say enough good things about this band! I've watched them play different places my whole life and to have them preform at my wedding was simply amazing! They are interactive with the crowd/guest. You can not go wrong with them.

We have had them for two of our kids wedding and we will surely use them on the others. Great group of guys!! Everyone was having a great time and everyone was nonstop dancing. Do NOT look any further.. they ARE the band you want.
We just had the Donuts at my daughter's wedding. They were wonderful and did not disappoint. They were also very easy to work with. We got so many compliments on how much fun the wedding was. I think it was because the band was more like a concert and not a typical reception. There was no hokey pokey or chicken dance and thankfully, no line dances either. They will be called back to do my next daughter's wedding. We loved them.
I was very involved with all of the planning for our wedding, and when it came to the entertainment for the reception my wife and I would have planned the date around Bag Of Donuts. We've been to a lot of weddings together as a couple and the most fun reception we've been too, besides ours which was the best reception ever, was the one that Bag Of Donuts played. We didn't want to be copy cats but we also couldn't find anybody more fun, and we searched every resource and went out to see bands live. Also, Jerry gave us some ideas we incorporated that made our reception unique and a new experience for mutual friends who have seen them at a wedding before. We couldn't be more pleased with their professionalism and service. Thanks BOD!
Bag of Donuts knocked it out of the park! Our friends and family are still talking about how incredible their performance was. I highly recommend them, and hope to have a chance to work with them again. Also, Jerry Christopher, who coordinated all of our event details, was a joy to work with- he was kind, professional and patient - everything you would want when planning a milestone celebration.
Wow..just wow! It felt more like a Wedding Festival than a reception. I’ve never seen my dad on the dance floor and was wondering what he would think about the crazy costumes...well, we literally had to peel him off it at the end of the night. Unbelievable energy and vibe. My husband and I will be hiring Bag Of Donuts for all our big anniversaries so we can re-live the best day of our lives again.
These guys were amazing. They played for our 20th wedding anniversary party at Antoine's and we were a bit worried they were too "big" a band for the size of our group (~50 people) and that the dance floor would look sparse. No worries because basically everyone danced the whole time! Their repertoire was incredible and their ability to segue from one song to another in different genres was mind-blowing. On top of all that they were super easy to deal with and extremely professional. I regret I have but 5 stars to give!
All we can say is WOW. Words cannot express our love for Bag of Donuts! Being live music lovers, the band was one of the most important wedding decisions for both me and my husband. BOD was everything we asked for and more. Incredible sound, contagious energy, and endless fun. The dance floor was literally packed ALL night. I didn't go inside once bc I was grooving all night...
Not only are Jerry and the guys insanely talented, but they were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Their selection is amazing and they listened to our requests (even played two amazing Rolling Stones covers at my dad's request). They closed the night with When The Saints Go Marching In, which was an all time highlight of my entire life. They brought me and my husband on stage for a Bohemian Rhapsody cover...and our guests ROCKED out while we all sang the words together.
I honestly can't say enough good things. If you are looking for a wedding band like none other, book Bag of Donuts. It was SO SO fun and I wish we could relive the night over and over. Dozens of our guests have said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and that they want to follow Bag of Donuts on tour! 😂 We were all completely blown away.

Bag of Donuts was the best and easiest decision we made in the planning our wedding! Choosing a wedding band was our top priority (being a professional musician myself) and you absolutely cannot find a better, more fun, talented, energized, and crowd pleasing band in the state of Louisiana and beyond. They were so easy and responsive to work with and had our guests dancing until the bitter end of our wedding night. Bag of Donuts is the best of the best and we couldn't be happier that they were our wedding band! We are still reliving the magic of of our wedding and so happy beyond belief we chose Bag of Donuts for our special day! 10/10!!!!
I’ve heard about you for years but have never experienced your performance first hand. You performed this weekend for my niece’s wedding in Baton Rouge. I have to say I was extremely impressed. Your song selection, performance, interaction with the audience, and your approachability were all first class. The dance floor was packed the entire reception! As a former sax player for many years and now learning guitar, I really enjoyed watching you. I only wish I had a video of the performance to go back and watch. You all are an extremely talented group and work so well together. And the best part is you seem to thoroughly enjoy what you do.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! As an event planner, I know how important the music and performers are in setting the tone and vibe for a party. I used Bag of Donuts for a wedding I coordinated and Jerry and his team were AMAZING! They were quick to respond throughout the planning process, extremely professional and absolutely made the party. My daughter Sara was adamant about having Bag of Donuts as the band at her and Andrew's wedding, as she wanted an epic party that reflected their personality to celebrate their big day. To paraphrase Indiana Jones, "She chose wisely." They put on a performance that matched the highs of the day, incorporated elements on request (like having the newlyweds come up on stage and dance, and having a friend sing a song with them), and played a variety of music that had the dance floor consistently more full than I've ever seen at another wedding. To top it off, the guys couldn't have been nicer, more professional, or more accommodating - especially working around the challenges of performing in an historic venue that wasn't ideal for a party of this magnitude. I can't recommend Bag of Donuts more highly.

There are no words to express our gratitude to the Bag Of Donuts!! We will never be able to thank them enough for making our wedding a dream come true. Our wedding was two weeks ago and we are still getting calls/texts from guests telling us that our wedding was the best they’ve ever been too. And it’s all thanks to BOD. They had the dance floor packed from the very first song! We danced and partied so hard, the dance floor we had installed shifted 4 ft. They are hands down the best vendor decision we made and worth every penny (and more). Brides- PLEASE do yourself a favor and hire them!! You’ll have the time of your life! Bag of Donuts was incredible at our wedding! We had seen them play at a friend's wedding in BR and knew we had to have them after non-stop dancing during the entire reception. They came in full costume (which was awesome) and played great rock music that people of all ages can really enjoy. They also interacted with the crowd! Plus, they had brass instrument players added into the mix to add a New Orleans touch! Hands down the best decision you can make for your reception is get these guys! Thanks again BOD!!

i'm a musician myself, so i was in charge of picking the band.
after going through a hundred or so different bands and listening, I ran across Bag of Donuts. they literally sounded like they were on Billboard top 100 or something. that high quality. every member of the band is incredible on a musical level.
stage presence was impeccable. they were all dressed up to the nines and had the greatest stage outfits on. was like a mixture of the top eras of music all on one stage.
on top of that, the guys were all just genuinely nice guys. would speak to everybody, all smiles, focused on the people at the wedding.
if you have to borrower a little extra cash from your grandpa or something, do it. these guys are worth every penny.

Bag of Donuts play the reception at our wedding. The entire dance floor was filled for their 3 hour show. Apart from playing great songs and a really nice variety of music, they are fun, energetic, and they get the crowd involved just enough. They bring the party, that's for sure. Everyone was raving about the bag of donuts during and after the performance. It was far and away the best band I seen at a wedding. Best night of my life. Now we have to get them back in Minneapolis ASAP to play again!

If you are looking for that perfect wedding band that pulls out all the stops from Classic 80's Rock, 2000's Pop and Today's Music.....Then look no further. Our wedding was a full-blown concert and all our guests loved it! My wife and I literally danced the night away and we couldn't have had our reception any other way. My suggestion for a wedding.....lots and lots of LED lights, Light-Up Sunglasses and Glow Sticks, and with Bag of Donuts thrown into the mix, you can't go wrong with that combo!

MOST AMAZING Wedding Band ever!!! These guys truly know how to throw down and get the party started. Everyone at my wedding from my 85 year old grandfather to my 6 year old niece was on the dancefloor the entire night. They were simply amazing. I cannot recommend them enough.
Also, they were super easy to work with before the wedding. They played all of my favorite songs and provided guidance and recommendations when making my song list.

We had a blast too! The father of the bride speech put everybody in an epic party mood and lit a "fireball" under the band to keep it going.
I LITERALLY CAN'T EVEN!!! Bag of Donuts played for our wedding a week and a half ago, and I kid you not it has been the talk of the town ever since. EVERYONE has been telling me it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and that no one would be able to top it. People were raving about the playlist. One woman leaned over to me and said "this is the EXACT playlist I want for my 50th birthday party" well...they ended up booking the BOD for her 50th bday party. On the VERY first song the dance floor was full, in fact, our venue had to move multiple tables back to double the size of the dance floor because there were so many people on it. We got comments about how it was the perfect mixture of class and FUN. The Bag of Donuts made my wedding everything I ever dreamed of and more. We wanted all of our guests to have a BLAST at our wedding and with the help of the Bag of Donuts, well I can say with 100000% confidence - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, tenfold! Thank you guys!! We even had a guest book them to come back to Minneapolis for their birthday celebration. The energy and talent that they brought is unmatched! They were so easy to work with from start to finish. Attending a wedding with Bag of Donuts as the entertainment and the party never ended. Well it had to end at midnight, but the crowd was roaring for more. It was an amazing night, everybody was dancing and singing along. Bag of Donuts really know how to put on a show and engage the crowd!!
Bag of Donuts played for our daughter's wedding June 3, 2017 in New Orleans. My experience from start to finish was fabulous. Making arrangements with the band's manager, Jerry Christopher, Jr., was very professional and quite timely (he would get back with me right away with any questions I had when planning the wedding). Also, we wanted a jazz band for the hour prior to The Bag of Donuts, and arrangements were made with Jerry's father for this. A second line was also organized through The Bag of Donuts. There is no supervising this band during their performance, they are on top of it all!
Enough about planning the event, The Bag of Donuts are so talented and entertaining. They have a wide range on their playlist and are open to your suggestions too. Book them for your event today if they have an opening!!!

For starters, there are not enough stars on here to accurately represent how amazing Bag of Donuts is in general...let alone for a wedding! I’ve always been a huge fan and knew they were key to making the wedding reception of my dreams! They posted on Facebook before our big day that they would “send our reception into the stratosphere” and they did exactly that and beyond! BOD always exudes this energy that is nothing but contagious! You can’t help but whip out your party pants and boogie shoes when they play! All of our guests were feeling that BOD magic at our wedding!
Throughout wedding planning, you have so many details to worry about and little stressors here and there. One aspect I knew I would never even have to think twice about was the band. I knew I could count on BOD to deliver and I was positive they would be absolutely phenomenal. That being said, BOD by far exceeded how great I knew they would be!
I envisioned my wedding with a packed dance floor and my guests having the time of their lives. That is exactly the atmosphere BOD created! Our dance floor was blowing up the entire time! Our guests didn't want it to end even after 4 hours of nonstop dancing! The dance floors at most weddings you go to usually fill up towards the end when the party just starts to get going. If BOD is your band, the party starts the second they step on stage and doesn't stop! They are nothing but a good time and bring the best vibes to the crowd wherever they play. It’s obvious they enjoy what they do and that shines in their performance. Throughout the night, and still now even after the wedding, we are being flooded with compliments on how fabulous the band was. Our guests said they have literally never had so much fun at a wedding before and that’s all thanks to BOD!
These guys are truly one of a kind. Incredibly entertaining on stage and a double whammy…they are super cool off the stage too! They are personable, easy to work with, and overall just fun! Simply put, BOD sets the bar so high no other band can reach it. No matter the number in the crowd, 20, 200 or 2000, these guys keep the same energy and showmanship. My daughter and her husband and all of those that attended will never forget this party!!! Bag of Donuts played at my wedding reception and they were an absolute BLAST!! If you want your wedding band to pump up the crowd, engage with your guests, and keep the party going, this is your band. I had been to a few BOD concerts around town and was worried my wedding reception would end up being more of a concert atmosphere than a wedding band, but it wasn't that way AT ALL. The band did a great job interacting with the crowd. They also do a fantastic job accommodating special requests. My family has a tradition of dancing/singing along to Sweet Caroline, so I requested the band play it twice, once toward the beginning to pack the floor and once towards the end just for fun. They also did a great job accommodating the special first dances. I emailed them the songs ahead of time and they had them ready to go via ipod or something when it was time. I would absolutely recommend this band for anyone who wants a fun, upbeat, party-like reception. They know their stuff, are prompt with email responses, and extremely helpful in planning the musical aspect of your wedding reception.

If you're looking for an unbelievably fun party, just stop looking and book the Bag of Donuts! Their song selections (both old and new) were perfect, and were performed with the kind of enthusiasm that only comes from people who really enjoy what they're doing. I think the band may have had as much fun as we did! We all danced and sang from the first note to the last encore. These guys helped make our reception the best night of our lives, and we've been told by most of our guests that it was the most fun wedding they've ever attended. Jerry was an absolute pleasure to work with from the first phone call, and the entire band made us all feel like we were hanging out with the band instead of just listening to them. Bag of Donuts has been one of my favorite party bands since I was in high school so, now as an adult and wedding planner, to find out that they perform at weddings is just a dream come true! We had our first wedding together on April 9, 2016 and they were everything that a wedding planner could ask for. They were prompt in responding to emails and phone calls and incredibly organized on their end - you don't find this with all bands. On the wedding day, they brought the house down! The dance floor was PACKED from start to finish. Speaking of the finish - the crowd was just not having it - they did not want the party to end! The cheered for an encore and boy, did they deliver! They pulled out Callin' Baton Rouge and rocked it! I can't wait to work with Bag Of Donuts again and again!

Bag of Donuts is the BEST BAND IN NEW ORLEANS!!! Our wedding was a blast and the band set the tone. The BOD were the first vendor that I booked. I actually booked them before officially booking the church and the reception because we wanted to make sure that they were a part of our big day. We have seen them play countless times over the years and I am so glad that we were able to have them for our wedding. They will not disappoint. Very professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. All I asked of them was: 1. Make sure they were in full BOD attire ;) and 2. Play whatever they thought would keep everyone dancing the whole night. And they did just that and more. EVERYONE was dancing, having a great time, and smiling from ear to ear. EVERYONE, even the staff at the reception! I received many compliments about how fun our wedding was, even months after. Our wedding was a BLAST and it all has to do with the BOD. They were so much fun! I can't wait to have another big event, just to have them play!

Bag of Donuts was the perfect band for our perfect wedding! We were looking for a fun band to keep guests on the dance floor for the entire night and we picked the right band. They kept us dancing until the very end. They had people on the dance floor that never dance. My groom and I had the best time ever.
My in laws were a little skeptical when I told them about the band I hired. The morning after the wedding she told me I couldn't have chosen a better band. By far the best wedding ever!!
The band members interacted with the crowd and they worked with us with every detail.
We got married 11 days ago and we still have not stopped getting messages about how fun our wedding was and how great the band was.
They were very professional, and made all my special requests happen.

Bag of Donuts was the best wedding band we could have hoped for. Everyone was on the dance floor from the time they started playing. The costumes were perfect and the music kept everyone involved. They have a great range of music from classic rock to pop. The band members were very professional and showed up on time and ready to rock! People still talk about our wedding and Bag of Donuts. They definitely set a benchmark hard to top. Don't forget to add the toilet paper gun!!
This is without a doubt the best band in the industry. They were both professional and responsive with all of our requests leading up to the big day and had all 250 guests on the dance floor the entire night. In fact, many people skipped dessert because they never wanted to leave the dance floor. They knocked every song out of the park and were worth every penny. We are still getting calls and messages from our friends and family about how amazing this band was... If you have to cut back on flowers, your guest list or your F&B in order to afford hiring this band - do it. It'll be worth it and will guarantee that your wedding is unforgettable!

The Bag of Donuts rocked my weddings socks off!! If you are looking for all around entertainment this is the band for you. They play awesome music, have wonderful personalitys, and pretty sweet wardrobes. From start to finish they had me, my husband and our guest on the dance floor. We even payed them to stay longer!
