Michael performs at 275 functions a year live music and DJ, he teaches 30 private bagpipe and guitar students a week, is a Lecturer of music and guitar at the University of Colorado at Denver, and runs his own recording studio where he composes and records music for film, video and commercials.

mics and speakers during the ceremony, pre-ceremony acoustic guitar, DJing the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner + dancing, lighting of the event space, as well as MCing the entire event. He’s an amazing one man show, putting together everything wonderfully. Michael took the time to meet with us beforehand and gathered lots of information to help make the day flow smoothly. He took into account our personal music preferences and did a great job of creating an awesome mix for the entire event. He even managed to start the dance floor off with a song that was mentioned during our vows, something we hadn’t even asked for but was the absolute perfect fit! We have only good things to say about Michael, and think he would be a great addition to any event!

One of the most meaningful moments of our day was walking down the aisle to a song that our guitarist learned especially for my love of Top Gun! It meant so much that he took the time and care to make our vision come to life, and hearing it performed live made the moment even more special. Michael MC’d all the breaks party entrances, he knew when to do the speeches, qued the wedding cake, and all the other fun dances. Michael read the energy in the room and kept it. I received various compliments on our DJ and Michael deserves 5 stars. Not only did he DJ the wedding. He played his guitar during cocktail hour, and played some good Italian classics during dinner.

As far as the playlist, my fault for not pushing back more when he kept saying everything looked great without any questions. It was confusing because he initially said we should build the playlist ourselves if we wanted to specify all the songs for the evening. He then said that wasn’t necessary, but the playlist that we spent hours compiling wasn’t played. We would have been receptive to more of an open dialogue on what he thought would work best. Instead it felt like he disregarded what we asked for and just played a bulk of song that he felt like playing.
We had made a list of songs for dinner time that we loved and he played other songs, including songs I hated. What was wrong with what we requested?? During the reception he showed that he had built what appeared to be our whole requested playlist. What doesn’t make sense is why he played so little of it and why he didn’t communicate with us more if he wasn’t going to play more of it.Were we supposed to go up and request songs that we did want to hear one by one?
Our guests did enjoy dancing to what he played. However, if for example he felt that a lot of our songs were not going to be crowdpleasers, then I really really wish we would have had more of a conversation about it and discussed it more. It would have been nicer to build a list that he thought was a crowd pleaser, that we would have also had to buy in on.

Michael took song requests and handled all the announcements my mom threw at him last minute. He provided mics and speakers for the outdoor ceremony, and lighting plus all the typical DJ gear for the reception. He was the master of ceremony and took charge to the perfect amount. For our reception, I can tell you in complete honesty that our dance floor never lulled! Michael even suggested a change to the evening's order that kept things moving with a much better flow. People are still talking about our dance floor!
In short, Michael was everything you could ask for in a DJ. He was super easy to work with from the first interview to the end of the night. He is clearly an expert and yet charges a very reasonable rate. Michael was supportive and helped us problem solve as our bridal party shifted at the last minute due to Covid.
I really appreciated him and recommend him without reservation!
