t us completely at ease, and she captured us perfectly based on her sense of how we interacted. When COVID caused us to postpone our wedding, she and her partner were very flexible and reasonable, and we scheduled our intimate wedding ceremony to ensure she could be there with us. Sawyer again scouted and found unique nooks for photos at Wave Hill, and again put us at ease - our family even commented on how approachable and natural she made everyone feel. We just received our pictures back and are in LOVE! Her style is natural and minimalist, and we received a great combination of posed portraits - including dreamy B&W and sunlit film shots - and candids.

ised us portraits of our family that we are still to receive. We gave her a four-bedroom home for her and crew for the two days of our wedding reception; we paid for the meal, and we went above and beyond to accommodate these people. I would never hire this company again! My wedding was such a special day but Sawyer Baird will always be a thorn in my side and its not about the money! I'm millienial and she truly gives us a bad name!

"Hey Christy + Thomas,
How are you? I hope all is well + that you had an amazing weekend.
I wanted to touch base with you about the review that was written by Christy on The Knot last week. The last time I spoke with Christy was when came by your house on March 7th 2018 at 4:15pm when I hand delivered your prints to you at your request to not mail the photos.
I delivered the USB at 7:35pm on January 26th with your baby sitter while you were out of town as well - in person as request based on lost packages and concern that the package would not be delivered. As our text prove this matter.
I was completely happy to do this for you as I understand being scared that packages will be lost due to mail around the holidays and with me being in the area it was an easy thing to do.
In the contract it states 8-10 weeks from your wedding day that the images will be delivered. The images were delivered at the 6 week mark from your wedding date, December 16th.
I have not heard from either of you since March 7th when I came by the house to hand deliver the wedding prints for you.
• I personally just checked your online gallery that has been up since January 26th as well, I emailed it over a couple of times and can send you the days that the galley was emailed to you. Neither of you have registered for your online gallery or downloaded any of the files from your online gallery portfolio. I will resend it to you if you would like, but I have emailed it to you three times and on my user side it has that information stored.
I am just truly very confused and concerned on what went wrong + if there was some miscommunication at some point. I haven't heard anything from either of you since March 7th at 4:15pm when I did hand deliver the prints to your house, if there was a text or email sent since it did not go through.
In terms for the reference of no communication for 6weeks - if it was the 6weeks following the wedding (the holiday season, when my mother was in the hospital, and following my car accident) I am sorry that I wasn't in touch directly after your wedding but as in the contract states the delivery is 8-10weeks so I didn't realize that this would be an issue on your end as far as communication goes.
Truly am sorry for this mishap + I just wanted to clear the air.

touch with Sawyer to see if she could be there on one of the happiest days of my life. The stars aligned and she traveled to the coast of NC to shoot our wedding. A lot of things went wrong that day---our planner dropped the ball, so many decorations and details were left out and my bouquet (perhaps my most important detail) was nothing like I planned. Inside I felt like a disaster. I remember looking at Sawyer and saying something along the lines of, "Just do your thing and please make this look pretty." ....Knowing fully that she was up for it and I (and all my wedding messes) were in good hands. I left our wedding feeling a little blue inside---you plan and plan and dream about your wedding day and when so many details are sup-par and people let you down it really hurts. As I waited patiently for our photos I remember holding my breath when we got them back and praying to all the wedding gods that our love showed through in the photos despite all the "yuck" that happened on our day. When I opened the folder I sobbed happy tears.......Sawyer captured our hearts and our fairytale even when I thought it might be impossible. She really saved the day in so many ways. You would never know by our photos some of the blunders that our planner created. You would never know that a little part of my heart was broken holding the bouquet that was nothing like I dreamed. You would never know the centerpieces were a mess. I can honestly not say enough about how thankful I am to have hired Sawyer for these moments. As a bride and groom, the photos and memories are what you take with you from the wedding. It goes by in a flash......We are blessed that behind the camera was someone that could see past imperfections and right to the heart of what our wedding meant-----It was a marriage of two people SO excited to say "I do" and crazy in love. For Sawyer, for her heart and for her unstoppable passion for capturing true and honest moments, I will be forever thankful.

hen my fiancé popped the question. Photography was something I really cared about and wanted to invest in and Sawyer worked with us to make all of our dreams come true. We did an engagement shoot that allowed us to become more comfortable and with being photographed. She was the absolute sweetest in our conversations from the very start. We emailed often before the wedding day about everything from my dress and hair to specific places in the garden that was my venue. She even pointed me in the direction of some other fantastic vendors, which was great since I wasn't local to the area. She's super sweet and funny and makes taking photos fun and easy, even when it has the potential to feel quite awkward. She was enthusiastic, easy going, and really caring throughout.
I absolutely ADORE my wedding photos. I could not have even imagined the beauty she captured from some of the moments of our day. Even the poses I thought might surely be a bit awkward or non-flattering turned out stunning with her skilled eye at work. Seriously, every frame was a dream.
The bottom line is Sawyer is supremely talented at what she does. I very much recommend her to anyone looking for gorgeous, light-filled, film photography for their big day and beyond!

at the top of my list once I got engaged. Her film photography is absolutely breathtaking. We are very like-minded with our obsession for details and she knows exactly how to emphasis all the little embellishments I spent months preparing for my big day. She knows how to make you look and feel your most beautiful, and she turns your wedding into an absolute dream.
Aside from her exceptional talent (I mean have you seen her blog and Instagram?!?), she was a delight to work with. After initially contacting her, I realized she was a little out of my budget, but she was wonderful in moving some things around to make it all work out. She was always very attentive when contacted and was exceptionally helpful with planning details in regards to photography. On our big day, she was wonderful! It actually rained on our big day, really poured like crazy, and she immediately offered to have us have a separate private session after the wedding to get more outside and bride-groom photos. She offered this even before the night was over and didn't charge us extra. Following the wedding, our photos were delivered right on time.
I really can't say enough positive things about Sawyer, and her work really speaks for itself. I am still in awe of our wedding and after-session photos.

oking forward to the wedding photos. About a month before the wedding we reached out to her to ask about final details including paying the invoice. No response for weeks. Finally she responds a couple weeks before the big day saying everything is in order. Excellent. Then three days before the wedding she calls saying she just found out her best friend was getting married the same day and she was a bridesmaid and wouldn’t be able to shoot our wedding. The kicker? She had known for weeks - since before she told us everything in order.
She met her contractual obligation to find a replacement photographer, but my wife had to spend our rehearsal dinner negotiating the terms of their subcontract.
As if the wedding drama wasn’t enough, Sawyer was late delivering the edited photos. Through the entire experience she was the consummate non-professional. She constantly made excuses and was a poor communicator. She complained to us about how stressful this was for her and bemoaned how little money she made off of us.
Spending this kind of money is worth it for great photos, but don’t spend it on Sawyer.
