Bak Photography

We chose Bak Photography for my daughter’s wedding as they came highly recommended by a good friend. They offered varying packages dependent upon budget as well as custom packages if needed. They were willing to work out any type of installment arrangement needed. They even offered a bridal registry allowing family & friends to make payments toward our package or purchase prints, frames, etc. as a bridal shower gift! All meetings/communications were thorough and thoughtful leading up the wedding as they clearly understood our desire for a perfect day. Although there were some hiccups along the way, you certainly couldn't tell by the photos! They were exquisite! We chose to have multiple photographers and they didn't miss a single shot, angle or detail. All while being completely unobtrusive and really fun to work with. Our photographers were: Mark Bak and Matt with Ryan & Mike assisting. All highly recommended! We met a couple of weeks prior to the wedding to make a photo timeline and I'm so glad we did. They gently nudged us along to ensure we received all the shots desired at our multiple locations. For me, the photos were the most important investment as they will serve as our lasting memories of this very special day forever. They had our photos available in an online gallery in under 3 weeks and we received our DVD with copyright release in about 3 weeks (part of the package we purchased). The ordering and album design appointment were a breeze! Brienna was helpful in coordinating appointments and Sharon was a blast during our design appointment. Her input was so helpful in creating our vision of what the albums would look like. We were so excited when we received the electronic draft. It was perfect. When we received the completed album(s), they were breathtaking. Our package included a larger bridal album and 2 smaller parents’ albums. The soft leather was a near match to my daughter’s wedding colors. I'm so happy we opted for the upgraded metallic cover on her larger album. It's completely stunning! I'm so happy we chose this studio and can't say enough great things about them. I highly, highly recommend them.

The photos were the most important part of the wedding to me. Mark and his staff were very easy to work with and found a package that fit my families needs. The engagement session was included with the contract. Mark took over 2000 photos on our wedding day! And somehow he got a photo of every single person that attended. When I look at my photos, I feel like I am reliving my wedding day. So so happy I picked them. Even though I do not live in the Saline Area anymore, I will be using Bak for all of my future photo events.

When we first saw Bak Photography at a bridal show, I was entering to win 1 of 5 grand prize drawings. I loved the photography they were displaying, and I had seen several of their photographs around our venue too. I loved the look of their wedding albums, how they were digitally presented, and still leather bound. Needless to say, when I was told I was one of their 5 grand prize winners, I was stunned and thought it was a scam. I even asked my coordinator if she had heard of multiple winners like this, and she said she hadn't had a bride win before, so she was very excited for me. Our appointment was scheduled and we had the chance to sit with the owner, Mark Bak, who impressed us immediately. His demeanor, his passion, and his photography were 'the real deal'. We settled on Laurence for our photographer, because we loved Laurence's work as much as we loved Mark's, but didn't want to pay for Mark (at that time). Unfortunately, Laurence came down with the flu and wasn't able to shoot our wedding, so Mark gave us another photographer and an assistant, which wasn't originally something we would have had with Laurence. Rodney and Rob were amazing! They did not get in the way of us during the evening, they were cheerful all day long. Both photographers were with me at my hair appointment, and they left at about midnight after all of the fun of the reception was over. I cannot wait to see the photographs, based on the sneak peaks I saw that day. Rodney & Rob, thank you so much for being there to capture those amazing moments between my husband and I. We cannot wait to see the finished work!

I used Bak Photography for my wedding back in August 2010. I did not receive by wedding album until November 2011. I spent 3 hours in a meeting with Mark to create the book I wanted. When the plan came back from the designer there were more pages that needed corrected than those that were correct. It was a long an arduous process. Also, I was very clear in the planning process that while there were some formal pictures I wanted, I wanted the rest to be more photo journalistic...pictures that people didn't know were being taken. I did not get very many of these types of pictures at all. Most of the 697 proofs that i received were triplet. There would be one picture taken just slightly different 3 times. I honestly had more like 350 proofs after all the duplicates were removed. I wish that I had went with another photographer. I was so impressed my Mark (who actually did my wedding) at our first meeting that I didn't look any further. That was my mistake. After the wedding, once I had made my final payment for the extra's on my wedding album, the customer service became very lax...employees stopped returning my calls and the I was not compensated for the extreme delay of my wedding album. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

For my wedding I actually had the owner, Mark Bak, photograph my engagement and wedding photos. He does such an amazing job and he is not afraid to tell you exactly where to place your foot or position your head so the photo looks perfect. My wedding photos were posted to his website 2 weeks after my wedding so I didn't have to wait long at all. Mark is an amazing photographer and such a great guy, he really made everyone feel really comfortable! Oh and I'm not sure that the address is right on here but Bak Photography is located in Saline!

Mark Bak is a superb Photographer, very friendly and a joy to work with, we are not the type of people who like all posed pictures and Bak was more then happy to accommodate us with a mixture of posed and non posed pictures.

The address is wrong, but this is the name of the company my husband and I chose to do our engagment and wedding photos. The owner Mr. Bak is so detailed, so patient, and just plain ole nice. He listened to what our expectations was and delivered. Lawrence was our photographer on wedding day and he didn't skip a beat. Our wedding was very fast paced, but he kept up with us and even threw in some unexpected shots. We appreciated all their hardwork. Kudos to this company. Even the ladies that answered the phone when we called the office with questions were extrememly nice and helpful. We couldn't have picked a better photography company!!
