Bakermama is a one-woman company, living out her dream of baking wedding cakes for couples in and around McKinney, TX. Owner Thea has spent a lifetime cultivating her passion, now specializing in elegant wedding cakes. Thea is filled with gratitude for couples who allow her to do her dream job in making special creations for their dream day. Honored to contribute to couples' weddings, Bakermama delights in working one-on-one with her clients to create something marvelous.
Having started her baking career early with her easy-bake oven, Bakermama’s Thea demoted her passion to a hobby while she pursued her degree in business. As the chips fell into place, the flame was reignited and she made the decision to return to school to study culinary arts. After years of juggling school and work, celebrating her own wedding day and welcoming her children, Bakermama was born and Thea has not looked back since. She finds sharing her joy with other couples priceless.

Beginning with a consultation and private tasting, Thea will work with you to create a custom cake that tastes as extraordinary as it looks. Using high-quality, organic ingredients and fresh fruit, Bakermama offers gluten-free, nut-free, and diabetic-friendly cakes too. For an added fun flourish, Thea can make cupcakes, cake pops, and cookies for the big day, all with delivery and setup included.

Starting out, I was all over the place with my ideas because I wanted something unique, a bit of showstopper, but still classy. I threw so many design elements at her and she would walk me through each one with her personal opinion from her experience and capabilities via email and text.
Bakermama was also a quick problem solver two days before our wedding. I didn't love the platform she planned to use for the bottom, and she gave me several places of where I could find one, but ended up just using some wrapping paper and ribbon from her house to make it gold. She truly went the extra mile for us saving us an errand at such a busy time.
All in all, we absolutely loved our cake design and the taste. We didn't feel her cake tasting box was a good representation of her actual wedding cakes. So do not worry, she makes amazing tasting cakes!! Would absolutely recommend working with Bakermama. You'll love her and her cakes!!
