The venue is so beautiful; the brick walls make any photo look stunning, the lighting is amazing, the courtyard is full of greenery and character, the Cottage right next store is so convenient and you can sneak away at any point to get some photos by the river! I can’t imagine going with any other venue. Thank you Bakery from the bottom of our hearts! We won’t ever forget our special day because of you and your venue ❤️

Working with Katie, Mira, and the entire Bakery 105 & 128 South Team was incredible. They were professional, organized, thoughtful, and kind through every step of the process. The entire staff on the day of our wedding were amazing. They were friendly, helpful, and so much fun to work with. They were helpful beyond the bounds of being a a venue/caterer for us and were my go to for any other wedding questions I had when it came to planning (I was all but clueless to the process so it was ALOT of questions). They were always ready to help and never shamed me for my lack of knowledge or need for flexibility while I was trying to navigate wedding planning in the midst of getting my doctorate. While all humans were so helpful, I have to call out Lauren who was a fantastic day of coordinator and also went above and beyond. I cannot sing their praises enough. 2. The food. Fantastic. The dishes we picked were just as delicious day of (if not more so) as they were when we did our tasting, its amazing the quality they were able to produce let alone considering the quantity of plates needed for a wedding. Lets not skip over the fact that I actually got to eat not only my meal but ALSO the passed Hors D'oeuvres on our wedding day (props again to Lauren and the bakery staff.) 3. Both locations are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for events, cant beat the proximity to the riverwalk and all the other fun things downtown. My photographer was a huge fan of the lighting in the venue as well. Thanks so much Bakery 105!

he week of the wedding, the support was thorough and above and beyond. We used the Wedding Day Experience package and it was everything we needed! We had many many compliments of the food, venue and staff. Katie, our coordinator, was amazing. She exceeded our expectations and truly made it the best day with her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and positivity.

Once the tables were dressed up, it looked stunning. Minimalist bride, but felt chic. Was very grateful for the tables / chairs being provided with the venue. We used 128 south catering as it was most cost effective with their policy. That being said, guests raved about how delicious our food was! We had a buffet, with Caesar salad, beef tips with mushrooms, confit chicken, ravioli, mac and cheese, brussels and green beans. Lastly, I rented the cottage on orange. It was the perfect spot and so convenient! So many of my vendors were familiar with my venue, it made or a breeze. We do not regret choosing Bakery 105 or 128 South catering for the most important day of our lives!

All of our guests complimented the food and we had so many guests point out how attentive their service staff and bartenders were. The venue is so gorgeous and looked amazing in all of our photos! We loved having both an outside and inside area. The venue and everything about it is truly a gem of downtown Wilmington. Not a single complaint!!

They were so communicative and kind and truly brought our vision for our wedding day to life. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect and it’s because of the “Katies”. So many of guests came up to us at the wedding and said it was the most organized wedding they have been to and it’s all because of the staff at Bakery 105. The venue is so naturally pretty and in the most convenient location in downtown Wilmington. There are a ton of hotels and rentals near by. The food and service with 128 South Catering was amazing and there were almost too many options. I cannot say enough great things about Bakery 105, and I am so grateful to them for making our wedding day, our favorite day

While wedding planning can be super stressful, the Bakery team made all of our decisions so easy. We especially appreciated their help in reminding us of deadlines and payments coming due. Katie and Jordan were our main points of contact throughout the planning process. They handled every email and phone call with the upmost professionalism and kindness. They were always willing to answer our questions and accommodate our requests. We invited 150 guests, but only had around 120 in attendance. This truly felt like the perfect size for the venue, with plenty of space for tables, dancing, and mingling in between. We chose 128 South for our catering (affiliated with Bakery 105) and it was seriously one of the best meals we’ve ever had (check out our review on their page for more details on the food). If you’re considering Bakery 105 for your event, let this be your sign!!! This team and this space helped to create the best day of our entire lives! 💗

Davis, our wedding day coordinator, was simply the best and went above and beyond in making sure all of our needs were met. Would highly recommend Bakery 105 for a wedding.

We hired their sister company 128 South for catering (wonderful food and portion size to say the least!) and the entire staff of both Bakery 105 and 128 South the day of were very friendly and did an amazing job. We got married on NYE 2023 and we loved how charming the courtyard was during our night time ceremony. The reception space inside was beautiful too - we especially loved the bar and the draping they already have set up in there. We were happy with the price of renting the venue / bar along with The Cottage for me and my girls to get ready in across the street. The location in downtown Wilmington was also convenient for our guests the entire weekend - we heard nothing but great things from everyone that attended. Definitely book here if you are looking for a Wilmington venue!

First, the venue is gorgeous and allows you to have inside and outside options. The brick inside and greenery outside provide beautiful canvases for your special day. We chose 128 South for catering and the food was amazing. We received so many compliments on our food so we know we made the right decision. Last but certainly not least, is Katie. What can I say other than she is amazing!! She was so much more than a day of coordinator. I planned my own wedding and could not have done it without her help. She assisted me with everything for over a year and never made me feel like I was a bother. On the day of, she was superwoman and ensured everything appeared flawless. Somehow, she managed to keep us on schedule and always appeared out of nowhere to put a drink in my hand! I truly can’t say enough good things about her and the entire team. They really make you feel like you are family. I can assure you that you’ll be in the BEST hands when you choose Bakery/128 South for your big day!

It is super inclusive and comes with so many thing built in that it makes planning way easier. Katie at Bakery 105 was so helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and organized. The things you should know if you're considering Bakery 105 as your venue are: 1) The venue (outside and inside) and location could not be more beautiful. There are so many hotels and restaurants in just a 5 minute walk from the venue. I think the location enhanced our guests' experience for the whole wedding weekend so much, rather than having a venue a 30+ minute drive from anything in the middle of nowhere. 2) The food is amazing. Food was one of the most important things to us. We had so many guests compliment the food and ask for recipes for weeks after. 3) The service could not be better. We had so many guests tell us how attentive the waitstaff were. They kept appetizers, drinks, wine, and water coming quickly the whole night. Katie made sure me and my husband had everything we needed the whole night. 4) Everyone at Bakery 105, especially Katie, are so easy and nice to work with. Everything is transparent and they are always available by phone or email.

Drinks were kept full, everything ran on-time, and if there were any fires to put out my husband and I never had a clue! He’s an absolute rockstar! The wall of greenery on the outside is a very quick eyecatcher, but there is nothing about this venue that could disappoint. We loved being able to share our day with our loved ones in such a beautiful space. Lauren, our day of coordinator, hit it out of the park and we absolutely adore her. She was very organized, very thoughtful, and kept us at the forefront of her priorities every time. Katie helped to arrange our initial meeting and was kind, helpful, and informative, especially since we were planning everything on our own. Thank you guys so much for everything, this was such a wonderful experience!

fantastic, the service was fantastic. I’ll be thinking about that mac and cheese until the end of time. It truly was one of the best days of our lives, I never wanted it to end! We chose bakery because it had everything we needed with the option of also using their preferred vendors. But all their in house options were superb. I could go on and on , but it was truly a magical experience.

The room was decorated so beautifully. We used 105 Bakery chairs and tables which were perfect. We rented the dance floor from them as well. The staff was professional and very effecient. The bar was staffed well-very little wait time. The food was amazing! Everyone came up to me and let me know how delicous the food tasted. The chef was easy to work with and was accomodating when asked to make an appetizer a main dish for example. The beef tenderloin was perfect. The roasted potatoes in duck fat were a hit. The staff was very attentive to the buffet with no wait time for food. Clean up was fast so the dancing could get started. I have absolutely no complaints. They made us feel like our day was important and the best day ever!! Thank you Katie and Staff.

ed in Wilmington and the location couldn’t have been better! We were right downtown and close enough to the water that we were able to sneak away after the ceremony to get a few more photos. There are plenty of accommodations close by for the wedding party to stay at. Renting the cottage was completely worth it and so convenient to have a getting ready place just a few steps away. The inn across the street proved to be a great place for the guys to get ready! One of my must haves for a wedding venue was to be able to have my dog at the ceremony. Bakery 105 was so accommodating and I am so thankful to have our dog in our wedding photos!

enue via a tour on facetime and had not seen it in person until months later. The location being right downtown cannot be beat! The professionalism of the Bakery 105 team was, in our experience, exceptional. As with any large event with a lot of moving parts there were a few things that didn't go quite according to plan, however the staff was very quick on their feet and eager to make it right, right then. For example, we had margaritas as a signature drink and the first ones served were very tart or mostly tequila. However, the Bakery 105 team was quick to make sure that changes were made and came up to myself and my dad personally apologize and assure it was resolved. We decided early on to book the planning services offered through Bakery 105 (for a great price I might add!!) and from the start Katie was extremely attentive and eager to help. She is organized, an awesome hype woman, and I can honestly say I'm going to miss talking to her on the regular. Her assistant Lauren was also amazing during our wedding. Our guests continue to talk about how the staff made rounds to make sure their needs were met and if they could assist in any way. The catering was also incredible! We had done the November food tasting prior deciding on our menu - definitely recommend that as well! It was also a chance to experience the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff before the big day. Our total head count including vendors was around 140 and we all fit comfortably. Again, I can not say enough good things about Bakery 105 and their team! I'd love to post some photos with this review, however our photos are not back yet.

perfectly. The space is so beautiful on it's own, so you can really dress it up as much or as little as you want and it will always be stunning. Another plus of the space is that it was very accessible friendly, which was important as some of our guests had limited mobility. The staff were so great with answering our questions and letting us see the space more than once (once with my husband and I and another time with my mother) before we made our final decision. We opted to have the Cottage as a Bridal Suite and Katie as our coordinator and there were no regrets AT ALL! The Cottage was perfect to get ready in with my girls as we could all hang out and bond before the day and we did not have to worry about moving from one location to the next. Also we could leave our stuff there throughout the night so that was one less stress we had to worry about of "where should it go?" Katie was a literal ROCKSTAR! I am so glad and fortunate that we had her to help us with our coordination and she took care of us every step of the way. She gave advice when we asked, was flexible, always in a fun mood, but still serious and got the job done. She didn't just go through the motions, she connected with not just us, the bride & groom, but our parents and our wedding party. But most of al, she was reliable. I had no worries going into our wedding weekend and she is to thank for that! I could go on and on about Bakery 105 and why we couldn't imagine be married anywhere else. If we could do it all over again, we would still pick Bakery 105 as our wedding venue!

that Saturday morning, the staff was busily setting up for a wedding and we fell in love with the setting. Emma made the decision on the spot and our year of planning began! The Bakery 105 staff provided a list of preferred vendors and helped us know what to do first. Bakery 105’s Davis Dunbar was our wedding coordinator. Davis was kind, knowledgeable, and always upbeat and supportive. No question was too small and no obstacle was too big! Davis met with us three times throughout the year and kept in close contact by phone, email and text. The Bakery 105 staff, Davis, Katie and Jordan, handled our details with meticulous precision and accuracy. They were always available to answer our questions and quickly returned our frantic phone calls. Emma and Josh were married at Bakery 105 in Wilmington NC in November 2022. Not only was the setting beautiful, the food was fabulous and the staff at Bakery 105 was amazing. We used the onsite caterers, 128 South Events. Our guests raved about the appetizers, the entrees and the impeccable service. For our event, we booked The Cottage and it was the perfect location for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready for the wedding. 128 South catered a light “Bubbles and Bites” brunch while the girls had hair and makeup done and dressed. The wedding ceremony was held in the Bakery 105 courtyard, followed by a cocktail hour and then we went inside for dinner and dancing. The courtyard was beautifully arranged and under Davis Dunbar’s direction, the wedding ceremony was simply perfect. The transition to the cocktail hour, with passed and stationed appetizers and bar, was seamless. Throughout dinner and the reception the wait staff and bartenders were helpful, efficient and cheerful! We cannot say enough about the service. Nobody sat waiting for anything the whole night. Even Davis was available throughout the evening, helping our guests with anything they needed. There were no long lines as we had the plated meal – farm to table salad, choice of shrimp penne or slow roasted chicken. The bar staff had no one in line all night, they were so quick. The appetizers were to die for. We had the empanadas, crostini, Nashville chicken sliders, crabcakes, and ham biscuits. Our guests are still raving about all of them, but especially the empanadas and crabcakes! All in all, the event was perfect. We are writing this review two weeks to the day after Emma and Josh were married at Bakery 105 in front of friends and family. We miss the staff and talking to Davis about wedding planning! We sit here hoping our paths cross again with them and honestly all of the vendors we had involved in our event. Our friends and family are still raving about the beauty of the day, how everything flowed, the food which was amazing and how it was the “best party they had ever been to”. We feel like we made lifelong friends at Bakery 105 and lifelong memories. Thank you Davis, Katie and the staff at Bakery 105 we won’t forget how kind you were to us and patient!  Lee Ann & Jeannie

just a two minute walk from the river! We had our ceremony inside and were able to comfortably fit 80 guests. The dance floor also had plenty of room for dancing! The courtyard is beautiful as well, and it was the perfect atmosphere for our guests during cocktail hour while they flipped the room inside for dinner! Not to mention, they offer catering (128 South Catering) which we happily used for our big day, and the food was DELICIOUS! I also used "The Cottage" right across the street from the venue for our bridal suite, and my bridesmaids and I loved it!! Amazing service and wonderful people to work with!! Thank you for making our day perfect (and easy on our end)- we couldn't be happier! :) P.S. Jordan was an absolute blessing to work with- she was always so nice and helpful and on top of everything!! :)

kery is unmatched. The staff was friendly, polite, and fast! Our guests never had a long wait at the bar and are still RAVING about the food. One of the best surprises is how amazing the food was!!! We opted for a duo plate with a beef tenderloin and a mahi mahi - both cooked to perfection! We did the premium open bar package, which to our surprise had craft beer, seltzers, and they included tequila (not typically on the package) as it’s the Brides drink of choice. One thing I loved about the venue is they give you a Preferred venders list. This helped me narrow down my search, knowing they were vetted by the venue. And I will say every single vendor we chose to work with from the list did a fantastic job!!! You can tell the wedding community in Wilmington love to also work at Bakery 105 when we’d speak to them! The vendors on the list know the venue and can help you envision the day! We worked very closely with Katie Swan (the BEST day of coordinator as well) through out the process. She always was quick to respond and super helpful with every random question. On the day of the wedding I wouldn’t have survived without her, she listened, took care of any issue that arises (which was minimal - and I didn’t know about it until after the wedding), and made sure my husband and I always had what we needed (for us that was a drink in our hand). She made this entire process so much easier on me and I never felt like a bother with my millions of random questions. The team at Bakery 105 and Katie are some of the best and I wouldn’t want my wedding anywhere else!!!!

on Airbnb after the wedding. Plus photos on the waterfront! I definitely recommend renting the bridal cottage as that was a major blessing, especially as the bride, just to have somewhere nearby to hide but also to monitor the setup progress. All our expectations were met and it was a good experience overall! Communication was a little slow in the time leading up to our date, it usually took them a week or two to respond to emails, but they were always very thorough and detailed. One frustrating thing was the restrictions on lighting- you are required to hire a professional with liability insurance to hang any sort of lighting, even Edison or Christmas lights, so keep that in mind, as it does get expensive (especially considering the late night pickup fee!!). We also were not informed that another group would be doing their wedding rehearsal in the middle of our setup time, which was fine, but we should have been informed. And the city was doing sidewalk construction right outside the venue on our day, which we also did not know about! It worked out, as the construction workers were awesome about working around us and limiting noise during the ceremony. Needless to say, it was an interesting day but overall Bakery 105 was a good choice! It was a beautiful venue for our wedding and the people were great in helping us tour the venue and answering all of our MANY questions in the months leading up to the wedding. We recommend!
