Bakery 105

We recently had our wedding at Bakery 105 and would highly recommend!! From the day we booked the team at Bakery 105 was quick to respond and answer any and all questions we had. The week of the wedding, the support was thorough and above and beyond. We used the Wedding Day Experience package and it was everything we needed! We had many many compliments of the food, venue and staff. Katie, our coordinator, was amazing. She exceeded our expectations and truly made it the best day with her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and positivity.

Loved having our June 1st wedding at Bakery 105. Katie was fabulous to work with. Answered so many of my questions, always with grace. We held our ceremony in the courtyard, flipped the space into cocktail hour with passed appetizers. Reception/indoor space is gorgeous! We added a little lighting over the dance floor, but didn’t decorate much more than that. Once the tables were dressed up, it looked stunning. Minimalist bride, but felt chic. Was very grateful for the tables / chairs being provided with the venue. We used 128 south catering as it was most cost effective with their policy. That being said, guests raved about how delicious our food was! We had a buffet, with Caesar salad, beef tips with mushrooms, confit chicken, ravioli, mac and cheese, brussels and green beans. Lastly, I rented the cottage on orange. It was the perfect spot and so convenient! So many of my vendors were familiar with my venue, it made or a breeze. We do not regret choosing Bakery 105 or 128 South catering for the most important day of our lives!

We highly recommend! Excellent team that took such good care of us throughout the entire 2 year process in planning our wedding! They also provided the food through their catering department at 128 South. The dinner was delicious and they executed everything beautifully and with such kindness. We would do it all over again!

Bakery 105 deserves all of the stars in the world. From our initial tour we could tell how professional, passionate and organized their entire staff is. They guided us through the entire process so seamlessly and with so much care. Every email was responded to throughly and incredibly fast, I was confident that no detail would be missed. We used their in house catering service and can’t rave about it enough. All of our guests complimented the food and we had so many guests point out how attentive their service staff and bartenders were. The venue is so gorgeous and looked amazing in all of our photos! We loved having both an outside and inside area. The venue and everything about it is truly a gem of downtown Wilmington. Not a single complaint!!

Having our wedding at Bakery 105 was the best decision we have made regarding our wedding. As an out of town bride, I was anxious about wedding planning but the staff at Info South/Bakery 105 made the day absolutely perfect. The staff were so knowledgeable and also recommended a ton of truly amazing vendors which made planning an out of town wedding a whole lot easier. They were so communicative and kind and truly brought our vision for our wedding day to life. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect and it’s because of the “Katies”. So many of guests came up to us at the wedding and said it was the most organized wedding they have been to and it’s all because of the staff at Bakery 105. The venue is so naturally pretty and in the most convenient location in downtown Wilmington. There are a ton of hotels and rentals near by. The food and service with 128 South Catering was amazing and there were almost too many options. I cannot say enough great things about Bakery 105, and I am so grateful to them for making our wedding day, our favorite day

Choosing to host our wedding ceremony and reception at Bakery 105 was truly the best decision we could have made in our wedding planning process (aside from choosing to work with Belle Amè Events - can’t recommend Jennifer and her team enough). The staff at Bakery was an absolute pleasure to work with during the months leading up to our big day. While wedding planning can be super stressful, the Bakery team made all of our decisions so easy. We especially appreciated their help in reminding us of deadlines and payments coming due. Katie and Jordan were our main points of contact throughout the planning process. They handled every email and phone call with the upmost professionalism and kindness. They were always willing to answer our questions and accommodate our requests. We invited 150 guests, but only had around 120 in attendance. This truly felt like the perfect size for the venue, with plenty of space for tables, dancing, and mingling in between. We chose 128 South for our catering (affiliated with Bakery 105) and it was seriously one of the best meals we’ve ever had (check out our review on their page for more details on the food). If you’re considering Bakery 105 for your event, let this be your sign!!! This team and this space helped to create the best day of our entire lives! 💗

The best venue EVER! Katie is hands down, the best, wedding planner ever. The staff made sure my dreams CAME TRUE. Every single guest told me the food, catered by the venue, was the best wedding food they ever had. The venue speaks for itself as it is absolutely gorgeous. If you are thinking of getting married, Bakery 105 is the only option!!

Our daughter’s wedding at Bakery 105 was amazing in every way! The beautiful venue allowed for so much creativity from the floral design, set-up, ceremony, reception, etc. to ensure our daughter’s wedding day was everything she dreamed of and more. The coordinators at the venue were exceptional and made sure all of the details were perfect. Davis, our wedding day coordinator, was simply the best and went above and beyond in making sure all of our needs were met. Would highly recommend Bakery 105 for a wedding.

My husband and I are extremely happy with having had chosen Bakery 105 for our wedding! The team was very responsive and easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. Jordan helped me out the most and was very clear when answering my questions. We hired their sister company 128 South for catering (wonderful food and portion size to say the least!) and the entire staff of both Bakery 105 and 128 South the day of were very friendly and did an amazing job. We got married on NYE 2023 and we loved how charming the courtyard was during our night time ceremony. The reception space inside was beautiful too - we especially loved the bar and the draping they already have set up in there. We were happy with the price of renting the venue / bar along with The Cottage for me and my girls to get ready in across the street. The location in downtown Wilmington was also convenient for our guests the entire weekend - we heard nothing but great things from everyone that attended. Definitely book here if you are looking for a Wilmington venue!

The absolute best decision we made was choosing Bakery 105 for our venue and Katie for our day of coordinator. The entire team at Bakery/128 South was so great to work with from day one. They were always extremely responsive, helpful and treated you like you were the most important bride even when they were working with numerous others. First, the venue is gorgeous and allows you to have inside and outside options. The brick inside and greenery outside provide beautiful canvases for your special day. We chose 128 South for catering and the food was amazing. We received so many compliments on our food so we know we made the right decision. Last but certainly not least, is Katie. What can I say other than she is amazing!! She was so much more than a day of coordinator. I planned my own wedding and could not have done it without her help. She assisted me with everything for over a year and never made me feel like I was a bother. On the day of, she was superwoman and ensured everything appeared flawless. Somehow, she managed to keep us on schedule and always appeared out of nowhere to put a drink in my hand! I truly can’t say enough good things about her and the entire team. They really make you feel like you are family. I can assure you that you’ll be in the BEST hands when you choose Bakery/128 South for your big day!

We got married on 12.2.23 at Bakery 105. Bakery 105 made our wedding day more perfect than we could have imagined. They take so much care to make sure you have the perfect day and make you feel like you’re the only wedding they are planning. I highly recommend the Wedding Day Experience package. It is super inclusive and comes with so many thing built in that it makes planning way easier. Katie at Bakery 105 was so helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and organized. The things you should know if you're considering Bakery 105 as your venue are: 1) The venue (outside and inside) and location could not be more beautiful. There are so many hotels and restaurants in just a 5 minute walk from the venue. I think the location enhanced our guests' experience for the whole wedding weekend so much, rather than having a venue a 30+ minute drive from anything in the middle of nowhere. 2) The food is amazing. Food was one of the most important things to us. We had so many guests compliment the food and ask for recipes for weeks after. 3) The service could not be better. We had so many guests tell us how attentive the waitstaff were. They kept appetizers, drinks, wine, and water coming quickly the whole night. Katie made sure me and my husband had everything we needed the whole night. 4) Everyone at Bakery 105, especially Katie, are so easy and nice to work with. Everything is transparent and they are always available by phone or email.

If I could give Bakery 105 a million stars I would, they were AMAZING beginning to end! Our day was handled with such care, making sure every little detail was exactly how we imagined. The absolute magic this team puts on will blow you and your guests away, so look no further! They really are the experts here in Wilmington, and the setting is perfect for couples looking for a fun and beautiful day (that turns into an easy and walkable night out!) Davis was our DOC, and holy MOLY was he incredible! Our families could not stop raving about his energy and attention towards them and any needs. Drinks were kept full, everything ran on-time, and if there were any fires to put out my husband and I never had a clue! He’s an absolute rockstar! If there’s any hesitation left, take a look through just some of the beauty this team helped create- I’ll never be over this day! THANK YOU to the entire Bakery 105 team, the best in the business!

My wife and I got married at Bakery 105 on November 5th 2023 and it was one of the best days of our lives! We absolutely fell in love with the venue when we came to tour last year. The wall of greenery on the outside is a very quick eyecatcher, but there is nothing about this venue that could disappoint. We loved being able to share our day with our loved ones in such a beautiful space. Lauren, our day of coordinator, hit it out of the park and we absolutely adore her. She was very organized, very thoughtful, and kept us at the forefront of her priorities every time. Katie helped to arrange our initial meeting and was kind, helpful, and informative, especially since we were planning everything on our own. Thank you guys so much for everything, this was such a wonderful experience!

We had our dream wedding at Bakery 105 with around 160 guests! We can't speak highly enough of the team at Bakery 105/128 South who helped make our day so perfect and effortless. It was a joy to work with everyone involved and the catering through 128 South was amazing. Our guests raved about the food and the venue!

My husband and I got married at Bakery 105 in October , it was truly a spectacular experience. Katie was my day of coordinator and she handled all the details for us. The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic. I’ll be thinking about that mac and cheese until the end of time. It truly was one of the best days of our lives, I never wanted it to end! We chose bakery because it had everything we needed with the option of also using their preferred vendors. But all their in house options were superb. I could go on and on , but it was truly a magical experience.

Bakery 105's team is outstanding. Easy to work with, gracious with there time dealing with the brides vision. Beyond happy with how well everything came together. They made my daughters wedding dream come true. Very professional and accommodating.

105 Bakery did not dissappoint! We had several meetings prior to the wedding day which were very much needed. We never felt rushed in the meetings. The wedding day was perfect. The room was decorated so beautifully. We used 105 Bakery chairs and tables which were perfect. We rented the dance floor from them as well. The staff was professional and very effecient. The bar was staffed well-very little wait time. The food was amazing! Everyone came up to me and let me know how delicous the food tasted. The chef was easy to work with and was accomodating when asked to make an appetizer a main dish for example. The beef tenderloin was perfect. The roasted potatoes in duck fat were a hit. The staff was very attentive to the buffet with no wait time for food. Clean up was fast so the dancing could get started. I have absolutely no complaints. They made us feel like our day was important and the best day ever!! Thank you Katie and Staff.

I cannot say enough about this venue and their staff. They all truly love what they do, are very kind and patient with questions, just very helpful. Everything was perfectly done, perfectly placed. The whole team was so sweet and took great care of us. I didn't feel rushed, stressed, or like a burden on the day of, before, or even after. Everyone tells me how much they loved our coordinators (Lauren & Davis, work for the company) and how kind and funny they both were. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU 105 team!

This venue and their staff are AMAZING! I can't say enough good things about my experience - I am very "type A" and they were there for me for every detail, every question, and every idea. My wedding day was the best day of my life because of all they did and all they helped me create. I'd highly recommend their in-house catering as well. Get married here people!

Bakery 105 proved to be the perfect venue for us! The owners were always available if we needed them and the staff day off couldn’t have been better! We knew we wanted to get married in Wilmington and the location couldn’t have been better! We were right downtown and close enough to the water that we were able to sneak away after the ceremony to get a few more photos. There are plenty of accommodations close by for the wedding party to stay at. Renting the cottage was completely worth it and so convenient to have a getting ready place just a few steps away. The inn across the street proved to be a great place for the guys to get ready! One of my must haves for a wedding venue was to be able to have my dog at the ceremony. Bakery 105 was so accommodating and I am so thankful to have our dog in our wedding photos!

Gorgeous venue for a medium sized wedding. The staff was so helpful throughout the whole year of planning, food was amazing, and you have access to an indoor and outdoor space for a very decent price. I would recommend Bakery 105 to anyone getting married in Wilmington!

My husband and I were just married in the beginning of May in 2023 and I cannot say enough good things about this venue, the staff, and our overall experience. We had booked this venue via a tour on facetime and had not seen it in person until months later. The location being right downtown cannot be beat! The professionalism of the Bakery 105 team was, in our experience, exceptional. As with any large event with a lot of moving parts there were a few things that didn't go quite according to plan, however the staff was very quick on their feet and eager to make it right, right then. For example, we had margaritas as a signature drink and the first ones served were very tart or mostly tequila. However, the Bakery 105 team was quick to make sure that changes were made and came up to myself and my dad personally apologize and assure it was resolved. We decided early on to book the planning services offered through Bakery 105 (for a great price I might add!!) and from the start Katie was extremely attentive and eager to help. She is organized, an awesome hype woman, and I can honestly say I'm going to miss talking to her on the regular. Her assistant Lauren was also amazing during our wedding. Our guests continue to talk about how the staff made rounds to make sure their needs were met and if they could assist in any way. The catering was also incredible! We had done the November food tasting prior deciding on our menu - definitely recommend that as well! It was also a chance to experience the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff before the big day. Our total head count including vendors was around 140 and we all fit comfortably. Again, I can not say enough good things about Bakery 105 and their team! I'd love to post some photos with this review, however our photos are not back yet.

10/10 experience. these people are incredible. they make the entire process so easy. the venue is beautiful. we used their draping they offer and cant recommend them enough! the food was amazing at 128 south. id do it again in a heartbeat!

Bakery 105 as a venue for wedding ceremony and reception after was perfect! They are comparable to other places for pricing and have a beautiful outside and inside area with handicapped entrance. Go for a tour. The brick wall and greenery walls won me. And the office staff Katie and Jordan etc always answer your emails and seem genuinely excited to help! Used them for catering and loved that they also have tables and chairs (saves money). And they work so well with all the vendors it went very smoothly. Rent the cottage on orange street to get ready at its so perfect. Great spot for pictures posed and candid. Just can’t say enough good things. The wedding was perfect thank you guys.

As soon as my husband and I stepped inside Bakery 105, I knew that it was the place we wanted to be married in! It had everything we imagined and went with the vibe of our wedding perfectly. The space is so beautiful on it's own, so you can really dress it up as much or as little as you want and it will always be stunning. Another plus of the space is that it was very accessible friendly, which was important as some of our guests had limited mobility. The staff were so great with answering our questions and letting us see the space more than once (once with my husband and I and another time with my mother) before we made our final decision. We opted to have the Cottage as a Bridal Suite and Katie as our coordinator and there were no regrets AT ALL! The Cottage was perfect to get ready in with my girls as we could all hang out and bond before the day and we did not have to worry about moving from one location to the next. Also we could leave our stuff there throughout the night so that was one less stress we had to worry about of "where should it go?" Katie was a literal ROCKSTAR! I am so glad and fortunate that we had her to help us with our coordination and she took care of us every step of the way. She gave advice when we asked, was flexible, always in a fun mood, but still serious and got the job done. She didn't just go through the motions, she connected with not just us, the bride & groom, but our parents and our wedding party. But most of al, she was reliable. I had no worries going into our wedding weekend and she is to thank for that! I could go on and on about Bakery 105 and why we couldn't imagine be married anywhere else. If we could do it all over again, we would still pick Bakery 105 as our wedding venue!

I planned the wedding cross-country, and Bakery made this SO easy. I flew home twice during the year, and each time they let me stop by with family to see the venue. They were very responsive, and handled my last minute changes and requests. The whole team is just so nice, and so helpful. I couldn't have asked for anything better!

Or daughter was engaged in October of 2021. Anticipating a difficult decision for a Fall wedding in 2022, we scheduled visits to several venues. Our first stop was Bakery 105. On that Saturday morning, the staff was busily setting up for a wedding and we fell in love with the setting. Emma made the decision on the spot and our year of planning began! The Bakery 105 staff provided a list of preferred vendors and helped us know what to do first. Bakery 105’s Davis Dunbar was our wedding coordinator. Davis was kind, knowledgeable, and always upbeat and supportive. No question was too small and no obstacle was too big! Davis met with us three times throughout the year and kept in close contact by phone, email and text. The Bakery 105 staff, Davis, Katie and Jordan, handled our details with meticulous precision and accuracy. They were always available to answer our questions and quickly returned our frantic phone calls. Emma and Josh were married at Bakery 105 in Wilmington NC in November 2022. Not only was the setting beautiful, the food was fabulous and the staff at Bakery 105 was amazing. We used the onsite caterers, 128 South Events. Our guests raved about the appetizers, the entrees and the impeccable service. For our event, we booked The Cottage and it was the perfect location for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready for the wedding. 128 South catered a light “Bubbles and Bites” brunch while the girls had hair and makeup done and dressed. The wedding ceremony was held in the Bakery 105 courtyard, followed by a cocktail hour and then we went inside for dinner and dancing. The courtyard was beautifully arranged and under Davis Dunbar’s direction, the wedding ceremony was simply perfect. The transition to the cocktail hour, with passed and stationed appetizers and bar, was seamless. Throughout dinner and the reception the wait staff and bartenders were helpful, efficient and cheerful! We cannot say enough about the service. Nobody sat waiting for anything the whole night. Even Davis was available throughout the evening, helping our guests with anything they needed. There were no long lines as we had the plated meal – farm to table salad, choice of shrimp penne or slow roasted chicken. The bar staff had no one in line all night, they were so quick. The appetizers were to die for. We had the empanadas, crostini, Nashville chicken sliders, crabcakes, and ham biscuits. Our guests are still raving about all of them, but especially the empanadas and crabcakes! All in all, the event was perfect. We are writing this review two weeks to the day after Emma and Josh were married at Bakery 105 in front of friends and family. We miss the staff and talking to Davis about wedding planning! We sit here hoping our paths cross again with them and honestly all of the vendors we had involved in our event. Our friends and family are still raving about the beauty of the day, how everything flowed, the food which was amazing and how it was the “best party they had ever been to”. We feel like we made lifelong friends at Bakery 105 and lifelong memories. Thank you Davis, Katie and the staff at Bakery 105 we won’t forget how kind you were to us and patient!  Lee Ann & Jeannie

I would 100% recommend Bakery 105 to anyone having any sort of an event. I used them for my wedding because they were my #1 choice and I couldn't imagine having my special day take place anywhere else. Everyone was extremely accommodating and Jordan, Katie and the entire team were so awesome every step of the way!

Katie and Jordan were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. We felt so lucky have them! Would recommend for the hyper-planners, as Katie was incredibly patient and supportive. Highly recommend for your special day!

My daughter got married at Bakery 105 a few weeks ago. She could not have had a more beautiful wedding. Davis was her event planner, and he is the best there is nothing he wouldn't have done to make sure her day was great.,

I would do the our wedding exactly the same 100x over at Bakery 105. Their day of event coordinator (Katie) made everything go so smoothly. The venue is stunning and the staff was on top of everything at all times. It felt seamless and not stressful at all. I couldn't recommend this venue and their team more highly!

I fell in love with Bakery 105 from the minute I walked inside! The venue is absolutely STUNNING, and it's everything I wanted and more for my wedding day!! Another bonus- we were just a two minute walk from the river! We had our ceremony inside and were able to comfortably fit 80 guests. The dance floor also had plenty of room for dancing! The courtyard is beautiful as well, and it was the perfect atmosphere for our guests during cocktail hour while they flipped the room inside for dinner! Not to mention, they offer catering (128 South Catering) which we happily used for our big day, and the food was DELICIOUS! I also used "The Cottage" right across the street from the venue for our bridal suite, and my bridesmaids and I loved it!! Amazing service and wonderful people to work with!! Thank you for making our day perfect (and easy on our end)- we couldn't be happier! :) P.S. Jordan was an absolute blessing to work with- she was always so nice and helpful and on top of everything!! :)

Wonderful venue that provides a great canvas to allow the couples vison come to life! Staff is very knowledgeable about local vendors and helpful!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Picking a wedding venue can be such a scary thing to decide on, but the level of professional, attention to detail, and support from Bakery is unmatched. The staff was friendly, polite, and fast! Our guests never had a long wait at the bar and are still RAVING about the food. One of the best surprises is how amazing the food was!!! We opted for a duo plate with a beef tenderloin and a mahi mahi - both cooked to perfection! We did the premium open bar package, which to our surprise had craft beer, seltzers, and they included tequila (not typically on the package) as it’s the Brides drink of choice. One thing I loved about the venue is they give you a Preferred venders list. This helped me narrow down my search, knowing they were vetted by the venue. And I will say every single vendor we chose to work with from the list did a fantastic job!!! You can tell the wedding community in Wilmington love to also work at Bakery 105 when we’d speak to them! The vendors on the list know the venue and can help you envision the day! We worked very closely with Katie Swan (the BEST day of coordinator as well) through out the process. She always was quick to respond and super helpful with every random question. On the day of the wedding I wouldn’t have survived without her, she listened, took care of any issue that arises (which was minimal - and I didn’t know about it until after the wedding), and made sure my husband and I always had what we needed (for us that was a drink in our hand). She made this entire process so much easier on me and I never felt like a bother with my millions of random questions. The team at Bakery 105 and Katie are some of the best and I wouldn’t want my wedding anywhere else!!!!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here on 6/2/22! It’s a GORGEOUS venue and a wonderful location!! We were able to walk to our rehearsal dinner and then walk to our honeymoon Airbnb after the wedding. Plus photos on the waterfront! I definitely recommend renting the bridal cottage as that was a major blessing, especially as the bride, just to have somewhere nearby to hide but also to monitor the setup progress. All our expectations were met and it was a good experience overall! Communication was a little slow in the time leading up to our date, it usually took them a week or two to respond to emails, but they were always very thorough and detailed. One frustrating thing was the restrictions on lighting- you are required to hire a professional with liability insurance to hang any sort of lighting, even Edison or Christmas lights, so keep that in mind, as it does get expensive (especially considering the late night pickup fee!!). We also were not informed that another group would be doing their wedding rehearsal in the middle of our setup time, which was fine, but we should have been informed. And the city was doing sidewalk construction right outside the venue on our day, which we also did not know about! It worked out, as the construction workers were awesome about working around us and limiting noise during the ceremony. Needless to say, it was an interesting day but overall Bakery 105 was a good choice! It was a beautiful venue for our wedding and the people were great in helping us tour the venue and answering all of our MANY questions in the months leading up to the wedding. We recommend!

Every single person who helped us plan our special day was amazing. Brian did our tour, Katie was our wedding planner and Davis helped out day of ceremony. They were all so wonderful and didn't miss a beat. I couldn't speak any higher of this venue or staff as they made our wedding day the most perfect day ever.

The BEST place in Wilmington to host a wedding or event! My husband and I had our wedding here on 1/22/22 and EVERYTHING was far beyond our expectations. The venue itself is such a beautiful historic building. The office staff and the day of catering staff provide top notch service! The food was outstanding - our guests are still talking about how delicious it was!! To the amazing team at Bakery 105 - THANK YOU for making our wedding day the best day ever! To everyone else reading this review stop searching and book this venue ASAP - there is no other venue in Wilmington that even comes close to Bakery 105 (other than their sister venue 128 South)!

As soon as I walked into Bakery 105 for my initial tour I knew I wanted to have my October 2021 reception there. JJ did a great job of showing photos of how the space could be used/organized/decorated, knew the answers to all of my questions regarding design limitations, chairs/tables, dancefloor, etc. Once I booked the venue, I began working with Katie, who is just the nicest and most professional human ever. She was so quick to respond to all of my questions, suggestions, concerns, and unnecessary stress-outs. She was also my day-of coordinator (I did not hire a wedding planner), and made the entire cocktail hour and reception run so smoothly. The food was incredible, the bartenders and servers were all so professional, kind, and prompt, and the whole thing is truly a well-oiled machine that is SO customizable to exactly what you envision. HIGHLY RECOMMEND KATIE AND HER BAKERY 105 TEAM.

Bakery 105 was *AWESOME*. I originally booked this venue over 2 years ago, without my husband, after visiting with my mom and knowing the space was perfect. I had 2 criteria: exposed brick, and in my hometown of Wilmington. We originally planned our wedding for the fall of 2020, and when the world went haywire, decided to postpone until November 6th, 2021. I had heard horror stories about venues who made this process a nightmare - but at Bakery, it was seamless. One phone call and everything was moved. Amazing venue and staff aside, the catering service was incredible. The tasting was a blast to go to with several members of my family, and as another review mentioned - you don't get to try everything you might choose, but what I can assure you is that everything on this menu is amazing. I will never forget looking over at my sister-in-law during dinner mouthing "forget the steak - this chicken is incredible!!" (As was the steak, but I wasn't expecting to blow guests away with Chicken Piccata). I have an uncle who is still raving about just how amazing our dinner was. This team is the kindest, most helpful people. The venue is absolutely stunning. The food is amazing. And it's right in the heart of Wilmington - we even have a few wedding photos with the iconic bridge shot. I can't say enough good things and I'm so glad we chose to hold our wedding here.

From the beginning Bakery 105 was very great about staying in touch with us and being informative throughout the entire time before the big day. We had the option to have a day of coordinator that worked with Bakery 105 (Katie) who was amazing. She went above and beyond during the planning process to answer any questions and keep our stress levels down. Having the option to have the day of coordinator who works for the venue was great because she knew many of the vendors we worked with and when it came to the actual day of we had complete confidence that everything would work great. The venue is beautiful on its own and allowed us to not spend as much with our florist. We had our ceremony and reception both at Bakery 105. Having Bakery as the catering and bar staff took one less thing off of our plate and the food was excellent. We had many people come to us during the wedding and after the wedding who commented on how great and quick the bartenders were. Would recommend to anyone!!!

My husband and I had our dream wedding this summer at Bakery 105. Katie and the rest of the Bakery 105 team were truly phenomenal and helped our vision come to life. The catering from 128 South was delicious and everyone raves about how naturally beautiful the courtyard was for our cocktail hour. We could not have asked for a more perfect day with all of our favorite people! 💖 We also used The Cottage on Orange for getting ready which was so convenient for the members of our bridal party. Once again, everything about our big day was absolutely perfect thanks to Bakery 105!

The venue was truly amazing. Food is done there and was delicious. Everyone raved about it! The venue is a blank canvas and we were able to make my vision come to life! Katie was an amazing day-of coordinator and went above and beyond to ensure my day went smoothly. I cannot say enough great things about this venue!

Bakery 105 was an absolute dream experience for planning a wedding. And the coordinator, KATIE IS PERFECTION!! My mom and I enjoyed every meeting with her, she made it so much fun and stress free (that is NOT common.) It was the most gorgeous wedding I have ever seen, I know I am biased, but honestly, it was stunning and the day went perfectly!!! I highly recommend Bakery 105 AND 128 south for any and all wedding events. The food is AMAZING!!! We had family and friends raving about the food the week after. Bakery 105 hosted our wedding of 125 people on May 29, 2021. From the first time we saw Bakery 105 in November 2019, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding and most importantly, an epic dance party. The entire staff at Bakery 105 was so helpful and responsive during the planning process. Most importantly, our wedding would not have been the same without the fabulous and one-of-a-kind, Katie Swain. We hired Katie to be our day-of-coordinator, but throughout the year and a half of planning she always went above and beyond for me and my entire family. Katie was my right-hand gal, since I planned the wedding from out-of-state, and always reassured me of my decisions. When it threatened to rain the week leading up to the wedding, Katie was quick to brainstorm a rain plan and handled all communication with the vendor team so I could enjoy the week with my family and friends. Thankfully it did not rain, but I did not have to worry once as I knew the Bakery 105 team had my back regardless of what was thrown our way. We cannot thank the entire staff at Bakery 105 for ensuring our topical elegance vision came to life and for hosting our perfect day! Is it too soon to renew our vows?! PS - Our wedding guests cannot stop raving about the dinner provided by 128 South Catering. It was so delicious and there was plenty of it!!

Bakery 105 staff were excellent in communicating with us. They accommodated our request to move the date of the wedding due to COVID-19, and went above and beyond to make our day special. The venue was beautiful and our guests keep talking about how beautiful they felt the wedding was.

I was torn between 2 venues in Wilmington - Wrightsville Manor which is an absolutely gorgeous (and newer) venue, and Bakery 105 which is also beautiful (but not quite as big and much older). If I'm being honest, Wrightsville Manor was a prettier venue to me, but I wasn't crazy about the location (odd location, no hotels real close), and loved that Bakery was downtown (makes it easy to go straight to a bar after for an after party without losing your whole group due to people driving/Ubering, and plenty of AirBnbs and hotels nearby so I didn't feel the need to provide transportation since everyone could walk if they needed to). And don't get me wrong, Bakery is beautiful! I love the outside courtyard covered in ivy, the whitewash brick inside is stunning, the natural light coming in from the windows in the ceiling, etc - lots of charm! But it was really the people that made my decision for me. Wrightsville Manor acted like they didn't have time to show me around even though we had an "appointment". We last minute tried to get an appointment to see Bakery 105 and 128 South (their sister venue) while my mom was in town and they didn't have any available, but we thought we would try walking in to 128 South to see if we could peek around. Right away, Jill introduced herself and happily gave us a packet of information and offered to show us around both venues without hesitation. Jill was an absolute joy and was a big reason we ultimately chose Bakery. Fast forward to working with their coordinator Katie Swain and I am SO GLAD I chose Bakery! Katie is an absolute godsend and was so much fun to work with. I anticipated on the day-of that there would be things done differently than I would have done and had prepared for that, knowing that it wouldn't matter at the end of the day and that nobody would notice but me...but I was wrong! Katie absolutely nailed my vision right down to every little detail! And she is so much fun now I just want to be her friend :) I only have one complaint: I do wish they did their tastings differently - I didn't care for the group, family-style tastings because we had no say in what we got to try and we didn't have a chance to try the food we ultimately picked before the big day.

Wow - everything about our experience with Bakery 105 was absolutely perfect. I can't even bring myself to shorten my review because it feels like an injustice to leave out any of the details. This venue is beautiful, the day was seamless, and Katie and Jordan were profoundly amazing to work with every single step of the way. You could not ask for two people more dedicated to perfecting your wedding day. No matter how many tedious questions I asked, I never once felt anything but comfort and support. I had the added stress of planning our wedding from out of town and was not able to have some of the most important conversations in person, yet it felt as easy as if the venue was in my backyard. So if you live out of town, don't let that scare you. Plus, these ladies are gurus. Seriously. I did not think a wedding like the one I had would be possible within my budget, and of course I stretched here and there, but they also helped me find ways to save in other areas. They can work with whatever your goals are, and they continued to impress me with their innovation, creative suggestions, and total sincerity and generosity. Additionally, they are completely candid about every little cost from day one - so you need not worry about "surprise" mandatory expenses. This venue is breath-takingly beautiful, but even the most beautiful venue may not feel worth it if the process is a nightmare. I am a control freak and prone to anxiety, but I felt nothing but total calm on my wedding day and it's all thanks to this team. Katie was on top of everything, without ever coming across as bossy or unreasonable. She was there with an answer to my questions before I even had to ask, and had a solution for literally everything. No task was too big or too small for her - she even helped me change into my Keds during the reception! She also made sure Brett and I always had a drink in our hands (if we wanted one) so that we never had to waste time going to the bar, she made us full plates of food when she realized we got pulled away by conversation, and she never let the plans get off track. She perfectly executed even the nit-pickiest of my requests, and always with a smile. Yet for how present she was, Katie never felt overwhelming or in the way. I am so grateful we found and chose this venue. I truly cannot imagine having done anything differently - it really was perfect. Bonus: the food was absolutely incredible. I come from a large family - we have had a LOT of weddings - and I was told by countless people this was the best food they've had at a wedding, and one of the (if not the single most) beautiful venues they've seen.

October 14. 2020 On October 2, 2020we hosted a Rehearsal Dinner for 55 guests at Bakery 105. We were extremely pleased with every aspect of our event! Planning an event during a pandemic, in a city where you do not live, just weeks prior to your event date could have been totally overwhelming—if not impossible! The owners and staff at Bakery 105 made it seem easy and they helped us create an evening for our family and friends that was exactly as we had envisioned! The team at Bakery 105 is extremely organized and has excellent, ongoing communication with their clients. We were able to quickly make decisions on all food and bar options and on vendors needed to provide additional services such as linens and music. They coordinated all of the work with the various vendors to be sure everything was delivered and available as planned. They even provided maps of available nearby parking options that we were able to include in the invitations for our guests. They were very aware of our need for safety during the pandemic. Katie helped us in planning how to serve the hors oeuvres safely. Rather than having self-serve stations, she worked with us to have our selections prepared so they could be served individually on skewers and these were passed by the servers. We chose The Charleston Buffet for dinner and our guests loved the food! They raved about the fried chicken and both the Eastern and Western BBQs! Many of them went back to the buffet for seconds. The servers at the buffet also helped to keep the environment safe. I was pleased to learn that Bakery 105 ALWAYS has servers for their buffets, rather than allowing guests to serve themselves--- not just during the pandemic. We were able to select which beers and wines were served. The bar service was quick and efficient and they continued to provide table service during the dinner. We also liked the option of having the bar service priced per person and by the number of hours for our event. This allowed us to manage the costs well. Bakery 105 also arranged for additional staff to sanitize the restrooms after each guest’s visit. They worked with us to safely design an indoor environment with appropriate spacing to maximize safety. Our event was beautiful and very well-run! Bakery 105 had developed a time line that included all parts of our planned evening’s activities and were available to manage any changes as needed. They provided all of the necessary equipment for background music and a wireless microphone for the toasts! The lighting and décor were perfect for our event—all we had to add were the table decorations and linens. We were able to enjoy the outdoor patio during the cocktail hour and our photographer was able to capture some wonderful photos or our family and friends during this time. If you are planning a once-in-a-lifetime special event, you want it to be perfect! Bakery 105 provided this for us!

Katie was the most awesome, upbeat, and organized planner! You can be completely confident booking at Bakery105/128 South.. Sadly after almost a year of planning, my daughters wedding there had to be cancelled due to Covid. The owner and staff were more than accommodating and helpful. The whole process from start to finish was seamless. Class act. Thank you Bakery!

We had such a good experience working with Katie (the wedding coordinator) and the crew at Bakery 105/128 South. We had our wedding set and planned out and then the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Katie did such a great job working through countless variations of what the day would look like with us, trying to figure out what would be allowed during all of the restrictions, while still trying to have our dream wedding. She more than succeeded our day at 128 South was perfect! The food was amazing, as were the bartenders and staff that worked at the event. Katie more than exceeded our expectations as a planner during the whole process, but especially the day of, she took care of so many things that we didn't even think about- her attention to detail is top notch! I would highly recommend Bakery 105/128 South and would work with them again.

Bakery 105 was a perfect fit for a large birthday party gathering. It was a complicated job for the venue, because there were several points of communication with the party organizers, and they handled it beautifully, pulling off a lovely celebration for everyone involved. The staff was amazing and the place is gorgeous! Thank you Bakery 105 for making my dad's 90th one we will all remember!!

12/10 recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in Wilmington. Bakery 105 was everything my husband and I could have asked for. We used Bakery 105 for our ceremony and reception, and used the Cottage across the street for the bride/bridesmaids to get ready. Katie and Jordan (the coordinators) worked with us to create a day that reflected everything we dreamed of and asked for. We wanted a wedding that was authentic, peaceful, and reflective of the love we share. It was that and SO much more. I delivered my decorations the day before the wedding, and Katie turned it into something out of a magazine. I had some pictures in my mind, but she blew my expectations away. When I walked into the venue, I felt so lucky, listened to, and loved. Sincerely, if you are looking for a picture perfect venue, an incredibly supportive team, and a day that reflects the personality of you and your partner -- choose Bakery 105.
