Words cannot describe how phenomenal Maria and her entire catering team were. I had my mind set on a family style / small plates meal for my wedding. Very few caterers would entertain that idea. My fiancé and I met with Maria and she didn't bat an eye at my request. She had great recommendations for the food, how to serve it and much more. She then gave us the price and I couldn't believe how affordable it was. We booked her right away and it did not disappoint. The food was exactly what we wanted, the wait staff was attentive and professional, and everything tasted amazing. Even weeks after our wedding many of our guests keep telling us how great the food was. Maria and her team were a dream to work with, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her for anyones wedding or any event. Thank you, Maria, for making our day perfect and becoming a friend in the process.

We loved working with Ball N' Biscuit for our August 2021 wedding! Maria and her team have an excellent, eclectic catering menu and were so flexible to work with – baring with us through pandemic postponements, last-minute guest count changes, etc. They were professional and COVID safe – highly recommend!

Maria worked with us to create a custom BBQ menu for our daytime wedding, and everything turned out delicious! Plus, we found her business on a list of earth friendly caterers, and it was important to us for our food to be sourced as sustainably as possible. On the day of the wedding, Maria and her staff went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly.

So happy we went with Ball 'n Biscuit. Maria and her staff were amazing to work with. She is such a cool person as well as an incredible chef. We had a lot of fun getting to know her. She is quick to respond with any questions and made working with a caterer a breeze. She even works directly with Dani's Sweet Demise bakery who we hired to do our desserts (which were to die for), and with Vintage Rentals who we utilized for all our vintage and day-of coordinating needs. We had so many compliments about the food, especially the late-night specialty pizzas. Highly recommend going with Ball 'n Biscuit.

Janet was our baker, she created our wedding cake. My husband and I are vegan; we knew an all vegan wedding wasn't going to be an option, but we did want vegan cake. Janet was amazing! When we had our tasting; she created four different cakes for us to sample, they were all so delicious we ended up moving forward with all. We had 2 sheet cakes and a 2 tier naked wedding cake that had some flowers and greenery added. Everyone was over the moon with the cake and no one knew it was vegan! It was so flavorful; Janet was so helpful and it was so nice seeing her beaming face the day of when she checked in about cutting the cake and serving it! It was so scrumptious and we would use Janet in the future if another cake is needed!!

Maria was so great to work with! We loved doing the tasting with her as she really listened to what we liked/wanted to adjust and she helped us come up with some budget friendly options. She was responsive to emails/questions. We had BBQ at our reception and everyone loved it! We really appreciate Maria's willingness to come up with options for our guests with allergies and a delicious vegetarian option. Highly recommend Ball n' Biscuit.

Maria was the only caterer we contacted that was willing to work with our limited budget (and our guests persnickety dietary needs) without sacrificing quality. She had wonderful suggestions and was very responsive when we had questions or concerns. After the wedding we were thrilled to hear that guests really loved the food, raving about the dinner stations and appetizers. The food was such a hit, we actually ran out! I would highly recommend (however maybe plan for a few extra plates)!

We are SO happy we found Ball 'n Biscuit! Maria is amazing. She is super easy to work with, very accommodating/flexible, and VERY communicative--not to mention an all-around lovely person. Out of all the vendors we hired, she was one of our favorite to work with. For many vendors, including other caterers we considered, it was so hard to get timely and straight-forward answers. With Maria, we always heard back right away with solid information, and she was really good at letting us know the things we didn't know that we didn't know--things we didn't know we should be asking about. THE FOOD WAS TOP NOTCH. We had Thai yellow curry (gf, vegan) and Tuscan lemon chicken as entrees, salad, curry carrots (the best!), and choose-your-toppings mashed potato bar. She had many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. As a vegetarian for most of my life, it was really important to me really awesome food for people with special dietary restrictions, since way too many weddings have terrible options. Out of everything, we received the most compliments on the food, with the most common comment being, "This is so much better than typical wedding food!" And last but not least, Ball 'n Biscuit is very affordable--and worth every penny. Thank you, Maria!!!

We had Ball n Biscuit for our wedding this summer. We had about 80 people in a venue with a small kitchen. Maria always responded to us in a short amount of time with any questions. Our wedding lunch included BBQ Seitan (a delicious veggie "meat" alternative), Mexican style chicken, rosemary potatoes, and all of the fixings for build-your-own tacos and BBQ sandwiches. Everything was delicious! Most of our guests were from Wisconsin and were not put off by a veggie meat alternative like seitan. I think most of them actually thought it was meat (we did have allergens listed). The staff cleaned all of the plates and cutlery, which we had provided ourselves. The bartender was gracious and worked our open bar well. The staff was even willing to help with (pre-specified) clean up things like loading cars at the end of the evening. Five stars for sure!

My husband and I were very particular about the food for our wedding. My husband is huge into cooking and so we knew we needed to find quality food. The one thing we didn't want was standard wedding food. We chose to do barbecue style, and it was buffet. First let me say, the mac and cheese was AMAZING! Her brisket and Carolina chicken were also fantastic! My only disappointing moment was the price. I would have loved to have saved a little more, and felt that it was a little on the high end. However, the food was quite delicious!

Maria!!! She was so wonderful. From start to finish she was there to make our day what we wanted it to be. She was flexible and willing to take on whatever we wanted. We contacted 4 other catering companies and none would work with us as we wanted individual pot pies for our guests. Maria didn’t even hesitate she immediately went into what a great recipe she had. Maria was passionate about her food and I really felt it showed. Everything was delicious! We loved working with Ball n Biscuit and hope we get to work with them again soon.

Ball n' Biscuit just catered our wedding reception on Friday and went above and beyond for us! The food was delicious, we received lots of compliments on it! And the staff was AMAZING!! We couldn't have been happier!

Our wedding was a Milwaukee/ German themed wedding. We wanted a European meal to add to the experience and we could not have asked for more. Our guests were thrilled for such a unique meal and even those who normally wouldn't eat certain things tried and liked them. They were fun, professional, and intuitive of needs. If you're sick of typical wedding fare (we were), they will be a dream come true. We wanted a fairly offbeat vegetarian menu on a budget. They did a fantastic job, and we heard lots of guests rave about the curry! They were a great couple to work with, very personal, and very responsive.

Food was really important to me and my fiance during the wedding planning process. We're both foodies who like to cook, as are most of our friends/family, so it was critical for us that we didn't just have typical "wedding food." After having tastings with ZHG and Mader's, two Milwaukee catering institutions, we met with Daniel and Maria of Ball 'n Biscuit. Admittedly, our tasting was non-traditional. We met Daniel and Maria at their house where they served us at their dining room table. This might not be the experience that everyone is looking for, but it made us feel great about Ball 'n Biscuit. Sitting in someone's home for your tasting tells you that the food you're eating is truly homemade and made with love. You could taste that in the food we were served. Daniel and Maria fed us hummus, guacamole, salsa, vegan empanadas, rice, corn salad and fish tacos. Everything we ate was OUTSTANDING - perfectly cooked, well-seasoned and fresh. I would've chosen to work with them on food alone, but in addition to their culinary prowess, Daniel and Maria are just really awesome, laid back people who also run an incredibly affordable catering business. After choosing to work with BnB, the coordination and menu finalization process went very smoothly, as did our wedding reception. I saw Maria for probably 30 seconds and then the cocktail hour and dinner service went off without a hitch. Their servers were super polite and attentive and the overall experience was seamless. I actually forgot they were there, which is great because it meant I felt that I had nothing to worry about. Overall, I couldn't recommend Ball 'n Biscuit more. Daniel and Maria are lovely, talented people who know how to cook and cater like the best of them. Also, working with BnB is a great way to support a local, small business in Milwaukee!

We had a tight budget and knew what we could, and couldn't, spend on food. We could not afford a full dinner, so Maria and Daniel took our budget and worked with us to create a heavy appetizer menu that was affordable but didn't lack on quality or taste. How awesome the food was is still the most common thing we hear about our wedding. The pulled pork sliders on a pretzel roll were amazing, and our guests couldn't get enough of the mac 'n cheese bites with homemade chipotle sauce. The food was unique, pleasantly presented, and seriously delicious. The staff was kind and accommodating, and even saved my husband and I food because they saw that we weren't eating. They are a small, Milwaukee business and it felt great to support local business owners.

Ball 'n Biscuit is run by Daniel and Maria, a husband and wife team, out of their Riverwest Home. They were a joy to work with. Their food was completely delicious! We did not hear one complaint. They also worked with us to create a vegetarian option for our guests. Although we didn't need it, they do Vegan options as well! Maria worked with me on a few last minute changes, and was nonplussed by my requests. They provided excellent service to our guests at the wedding, and for us leading up to it. I would recommend them for your event in a hearbeat.
