We absolutely loved working with Candace on our wedding dance! We had wanted a dance that was somewhat choreographed and easy to remember, but also affordable. We had done trial ...
sessions at other larger dance companies and they were asking for more money and more time than we were willing to spend on a dance. That is when we found Candace. Candace was a great dance instructor and has an extensive background in all types of dance. She listened to our song ahead of time to get a sense for what style dance we should use. What we really enjoyed about Candace was that she never tried to push wedding packages on us. It is really apparent she loves teaching people how to dance and made it very clear that we could do as many or as few sessions as we wanted. She even wrote out the dance steps for us to remember for when we practiced at home. Candace provided a relaxed environment where it was up to us on how much commitment we wanted to put into our first dance choreography. We would highly recommend her!
Candace is absolutely wonderful and you should definitely book her! My now husband and I booked her to teach us our first dance for our wedding. I had been looking for an affordabl...
e instructor who could teach us in a low number of sessions, as we had little time to learn. Before Candace, all I could locate were expensive, impersonal dance studios that required a huge time investment every week for many weeks. I never interacted with the teachers, but rather the studios' receptionists. From the first phone call, Candace welcomed discussing and accommodating our specific needs as our potential teacher. She took the song we wanted to use, choreographed a lovely dance for it, and taught it to us in just two Saturday sessions convenient for our schedules. To our pleasant surprise, whenever we went to her studio, she even made me and my then fiancé—who had never danced with each other, had barely danced on our own before, and felt quite nervous about performing a waltz in front of so many family and friends—feel comfortable and at ease! She infused confidence into us with her cheerful encouragement and clear instructions. I can't imagine having a better dance instructor!
