Brandi is the best. I have dance background but my husband does not (so he was a little hesitant). She choreographed the perfect wedding dance for our level, was a great teacher: kind, helpful, and very patient! If you live in the Philly area and would like to learn something special for your wedding with you and your partner (no matter your level) - Ballroom Philadelphia is fantastic!

Brandi and Vuthy are amazing teachers! My husband is not a very fluid mover and he ended up doing such an awesome job at our first dance as a married couple - all thanks to Ballroom Philadelphia's guidance and adaptive way at teaching. We had priced out lessons at a different dance studio and it was astronomical. Ballroom Philadelphia is extremely reasonable and much more relaxed, especially in the midst of wedding planning stress and budgeting! We had so much fun working with Vuthy and he was so accommodating when it came to crunch time for us. Our first dance was by no means perfect, but it was a testament to our love for each other and the amazing teaching skills of Vuthy and Brandi - we even got some woots and cheers during one of our spins! Thank you for making our first dance one that neither of us will ever forget!

I can’t say enough great things about Brandi and Vuthy. My husband and I are not dancers by any means and we had so much fun working on the first dance for our wedding reception with Brandi and Vuthy. They are so patient and really explained everything so well. We were impressed by how well we did and are so thankful we decided to take dance lessons so that we felt confident in front of our guests. I highly recommend taking classes with them for your first dance or just for fun. They are so great!

My husband and I panicked when we realized that our wedding was approaching and we had no plan for our first dance. We figured the slow swaying back-and-forth from grade school dances wasn't going to cut it, so we wanted to honor the occasion with a more refined dance. Luckily, we stumbled upon Vuthy and Brandi. Their instruction style really is the perfect mix of structure and fun. After two short private sessions, we had our slow foxtrot choreographed down to a science and we felt infinitely more comfortable dancing in front of our entire wedding party. More importantly, we had such a great time during our sessions that we plan on returning for future sessions . If you have any doubt about whether you need help with a first dance or if you're just looking for a date-night idea, then set up a session. With talented and caring people like Vuthy and Brandi, you will be in good hands.

We loved going to Vuthy for a private lesson for our first dance. He made us feel comfortable immediately and was extremely helpful - we love how our dance looks and we feel confident doing it! Not only that, but the lesson was really fun!

Ballroom Philadelphia was absolutely amazing to work with in preparation for our wedding first dance. Both Vuthy and Brandi are amazing instructors, and they make you feel comfortable and confident right off the bat. We took private lessons with Vuthy and can't speak more highly of the experience. He really took the time to get to know us as a couple and worked with us to create a routine that fit us well (and impressed our guests too!). The group lessons were a great chance to get to know other couples who were at various stages of learning. The studio also has a great community. We ended up loving it so much that we're continuing to take lessons even after the wedding!

We started taking private and group classes at Ballroom Philadelphia to prepare for our wedding in May 2015. Brandi and Vuthy choreographed a beautiful dance for us that fit our personalities and was the perfect level of difficulty -- fancy enough to impress our guests, but not so complicated that we were in over our heads. They both teach with such patience and expertise that we quickly gained confidence, and our wedding dance was everything we had hoped. In fact, our experience with Ballroom Philadelphia was so phenomenal that we've continued to take weekly classes with them. As an educator, I'm always impressed that they have a "lesson plan" every time we come into the studio; they use every minute of your lesson with intention, and lessons build nicely upon one another. Brandi and Vuthy are not only talented dancers, but talented teachers as well. We have such fun learning with Brandi and Vuthy, that I highly recommend you give them a try!

My husband and I took lessons with Brandi for several months leading up to our wedding. Brandi is a wonderful instructor and helped us choreograph our first dance. On our wedding day, we were able to enjoy our first dance together and the shocked faces of our family and friends at how great we looked dancing together! We enjoy lessons with Brandi so much, that we've continued after our wedding. Dance lessons are a great date night for us, followed by some good food at the restaurants in East Passyunk!
