I had a phenomenal experience working with Bangs and Blush on my wedding day, especially with my makeup artist, Jamie, and my hair stylist, Kacie. It is clear the entire team takes immense pride in their work and prioritizes the client's happiness with the finished product more than anything.
During my hair and makeup trial, the artists would step away after completion of the service to give me a moment to process it without feeling like I needed to react for the benefit of the artist. They encouraged me to give honest feedback and made adjustments without hesitation. They asked very thoughtful questions both before and during the process to get a good understanding of my preferences. I appreciated that they made suggestions I may not have considered on my own and took the time to explain any additional recommendations.
The B&B team communicated directly with my venue so they could arrive ahead of time and already had all of the hair and makeup stations set up when my bridesmaids and I arrived on the morning of the wedding. We never felt like things were being rushed but the team easily stayed on schedule and was even able to accommodate an extra hair service on the day of the wedding. All of the bridesmaids requested different hair and makeup styles, and the team was able to execute every request perfectly.
The products they use are very high quality and it is clear they take great care to keep products from getting cross-contaminated when being used for so many different people. Both my hair and makeup lasted flawlessly all day, even through lots of dancing and happy tears. I was especially impressed with their use of airbrush foundation, which provided good coverage but still looked natural on everyone. Both my bridesmaids and I were flooded with compliments on how our hair and makeup looked throughout the wedding day, and the highest compliment I received was that I looked like myself, but elevated, which is exactly how I wanted to look. I was so thrilled with my experience with Bangs and Blush and would highly recommend them to anyone!
I whole-heartedly recommend Bangs and Blush for your special day. From start to finish, they were a fabulous company to work with. They made me and my bridal party feel so beautiful. Amanda and Abby and the rest of their team were not only deeply talented hair and makeup artists, but also AMAZING cheerleaders. Their energy was so fun and wholesome in the bridal suite on the day of my wedding. They handled the tight timeline with ease and showed absolutely no stress, and kept everything light and fun. The whole vibe of the bridal suite was pure happiness the day of my wedding, and I think a large part of that was due to the Bangs and Blush team being so fun to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to be apart of my day.

Jamie Walker saw an opportunity, seized it and it became her dream. She founded Bangs and Blush and has been its head make-up artist, trainer and proud owner since 2009. The beauty industry was not originally on her “to-do list,” but when she recognized the high demand for on-location hair and make-up services in Knoxville, Tennessee; she jumped at the opportunity and supplied it. Word spread quickly about her passionate commitment to brides and her obsessive desire for all things beautiful in the makeup, bridal, and wedding industry. She now leads an elite team of bridal SPECIALIST.
