Barb is our favorite. From our initial Zoom call through the wedding, she was delightful, funny, energetic, and totally on top of everything. Plus, she takes some darn good photos. She was enthusiastic about us and our diverse/non-conventional family from the get-go, and made us feel totally comfortable and at ease. As self-professed non-photogenic people, we've been stunned by the pictures she took at our engagement session and wedding. She must have had a hidden caffeine drip, because her level of energy and excitement didn't waver, and she kept us going even when we were starting to flag at the end of a very long day. Barb was very responsive and easy to work with, and her fees are transparent. She kept us on schedule and got some challenging photos that we requested. Barb made her job look easy, even though it definitely isn't, which is a true testament to her skill. If you're looking for a photographer to truly be a partner on your wedding day and who brings out the real you, you can't go wrong with Barb.

Photography is really important to me and I knew the wedding photographer would be the most important vendor we would be hiring for our big day. I researched and researched and researched some more all photographers I found within a 2 hour radius (still have the spreadsheet to prove it!) - let me spare you the trouble, you can stop looking now. Finding and hiring Barb was the best wedding decision we made. Barb has spent so much time on us from my first email to her till our wedding day (and beyond), I feel it only proper to spend a little bit of time giving you all a detailed review of our experience with Barb. So, buckle up. When I came across Barb’s website and saw her work and read her “about” page, I knew she was a top choice - the photos were stunning (spoke for themselves) and she seemed so down-to-earth. When we met Barb in person we felt like we were sitting down with a friend. She was the opposite of pretentious, was friendly, welcoming and made us feel really comfortable. We met over coffee, scheduled for an hour, and three hours later we left having all of our questions answered and with some additional things to think about. Our engagement session was 7 months after we hired Barb, so it had been a while since we last saw her, and we were both kind of nervous - but again, she made us feel really comfortable and we had fun. And the pictures were perfect. When our May 2020 wedding needed to be pushed back due to COVID, Barb was there every step of the way. In the months leading up to the wedding she answered all of our questions, helped with timelines, and gave us advice and recommendations. She was able to come to our rehearsal since she didn’t have a prior engagement to get the lay of the land and meet everyone. On the day of our wedding, Barb was there capturing all of the details without us even knowing. She remembered things I had forgotten. She has a bag full of emergency items and was there for whatever you may need - like when I needed a q-tip to help with the mascara after our first look. She was flexible, easy-going, fun and funny, professional, organized, and just on the ball. All of the people involved in our wedding who met Barb were so impressed with her after their interactions. She put people at ease everywhere she went. The pictures we have seen so far are beautiful. A few have made me catch my breath, and I was there! Ha. My parents were not able to come to my wedding due to my mom’s health and the pandemic, and Barb thought enough to include photos of them as they were being FaceTimed. An extra, thoughtful touch that we are so appreciative of. Barb is a very talented photographer and is excellent at her craft. I think one of the reasons she is so successful, besides being skilled at the technicalities of photography like composition and light, is that she is so fun and real and kind, which makes people feel comfortable. You can’t teach that or train for that. I’ve said this already, but I’m going to say it again: hiring Barb was the best decision we made in regards to our wedding, and now we have a photographer for all of our future needs. We are so grateful we found Barb - we have stunning photographs that we will cherish for the rest of our lives and have also gained a new friend too. We can’t recommend Barb enough. I quickly chose Barb as our wedding photographer, not only because of her beautiful work, but because of the comfort I felt when first speaking to her. While Barb's photography speaks for itself, I wanted to work with someone who would capture the natural feel of our wedding day. Not only did Barb photograph our wedding, but she also photographed our engagement photos. Barb has a natural ability to make others feel comfortable, and it's conveyed in her photos. She was extremely fun to work with, and overwhelmingly accommodating when I realized that my 2020 plans would need to change. My husband and I had a June 2020 wedding planned, and Barb was the first vendor to reach out to reassure me that she was there for me. My husband and I replanned our wedding, from a large celebration at a venue, to an intimate backyard ceremony. Barb captured every detail of our day. The photos we have will bring back the memories of our wedding day for the rest of our lives. Barb is one of those people, who once you work with her, she will be your photographer for life!

Barbara is absolutely fantastic! Hiring her as our engagement and wedding photographer was the best decision we made. Our photographs are beautiful and are above and beyond what we could have ever expected. Barbara is personable, reliable, and present. She even came to our rehearsal so she could get the lay of the land and meet our entire family. Throughout the process, she kept in touch so there we were constantly on the same page, which minimized any stress. She surprises you with her thoughtfulness and truly adds to the specialness of your event or celebration. I know I will be keeping her contact for my future needs. You won't regret choosing her!! She deserves 10 stars.
