Their venue coordinator, Katie Britton, was a beautiful combination of deep experience with event planning, pure joy, and timely communication. She always made us feel like we were the only wedding she cared about. This was so evident throughout the process whereas other venues we had contacted, you could tell that you were just one of many, a spreadsheet to be completed. Barboursville (and Katie and all the staff) instead made us feel almost like their own family they wanted to celebrate and did everything in their power to make our entire day go smoothly. All our guests indicated it was the best wedding food they ever had (we definitely agree, please put thee duck confit gnocchi on your menus to all those looking), the service was immaculate, and the venue was beautiful. The venue and the team captured our vision of fall Virginia Vineyard wedding to perfection and we can't thank them all enough!

my Wedding Venue. They made my wedding an absolute dream! Barboursville Vineyards, the 1804 Inn and Palladio Restaurant will always have a very special place in our hearts! It was important to me to find a venue with phenomenal scenery, food, wine, history, facilities and a place to relax with my bridesmaids as I prepared for the wedding. Barboursville delivered on all accounts. Considering all of the services provided, the venue and catering, the venue was VERY economic. I worked directly with Palladio’s manager Alessandro as well as Chef Crawford to design a seasonal food menu. They are masters of their craft. Dinner was three courses with the main course served individually. Palladio staff were excellent. They helped with clean-up at the end of the night. They bar tended our liquor as well. My husband and I chose to use the Historic Ruins as our ceremony site. Pictures turned out lovely! You are required rent the 1804 Inn to reserve the ruins. There is a discount for renting the whole 1804 Inn and cottages. Guests need a place to stay, worth it. The Inn is was lovely. I hosted tea for the bridesmaids. They serve fresh breakfast in the morning! Much needed after the big day. I will definitely return for an anniversary. I will say that there was initial confusion and concern with the original event coordinator, this was fixed when Barboursville hired Katie as the new event coordinator. She was a positive source of energy willing to help and offer services, logistical and professional. We held meeting in the Library over wine and cheese. She stayed through the party on wedding day to ensure everything went well. Overall a great experience which I would highly recommend! Other venues require individually contracting bathrooms, food and other vendors. Many had small areas to get ready. The cost and hassle becomes comparable to an inclusive venue. Other venues didn't offer the romance of historic Virginia among the vineyards. I booked Barboursville 1.5 years in advance.
