Very overdue review from our August 2023 wedding, but maybe that's a sign that the day went so smoothly we haven't been on The Knot since. Kaitlin worked with us ahead of our weddi...
ng day to make sure we had our plan on lock, helped us make sure we were considering all of the right details, and calmly dealt with the little things that could have been a much bigger deal (like being an hour away from any store with the wrong tap for our keg) on our wedding day so we could focus on enjoying the memories - highly recommend her day-of (and beyond) assistance!
We were unsure we needed a a wedding coordinator/planner, however, did decide we wanted no stress on our wedding day. We found Kaitlin on The Knot and never looked back. Our weddin...
g was on October 6th, 2024 and Kaitlin at Barefoot to Bow Tie was incredible. From our initial talks, to creating our wedding timeline and itinerary, to helping coordinate what favors we wanted, and taking care of all of our printing needs for signage, she was there. Our rehearsal was so smooth because of her direction. The ballroom space, cocktail hour, and outdoor space was decorated perfectly because of her expertise. If you’re looking for someone who will truly put her heart into your special day, look no further. Kaitlin is the sweetest, kindest person and we are forever grateful to her. Thank you Kaitlin!

ed this most beautiful day without her. Kaitlin is very organized with spreedsheets down to every detail. She has a timeline of when to book the major vendors with suggestions along the way. Her professionalism can't be beat. I couldn't fly in for all the meetings, so Kaitlin went for me. She is well connected in Milwaukee and the surrounding areas. What a blessing! My daughter had plated dinners, sailcloth tent, band from Chicago and the most beautiful flowers...all in my parent's 3 acre garden. Kaitlin helped with all the details. She had a crew the day of the wedding to make sure all ran smoothly. I highly recommend her! You won't be disappointed! "Wow" is all I can say!

bout hiring a day-of coordinator at all, but I cannot overstate the amount of stress that Kaitlin lifted off of our plate.
After we met a couple times prior to the wedding (always working around our schedules) I felt safe putting my day-of responsibilities and timelines in her hands, and everything went literally perfectly! She did a beautiful job setting up our decorations, coordinated w/ all of our other vendors seamlessly, and supported our friends & family in getting to where they needed to be, when they needed to be there.
With her assistance, logistics, were a breeze, and I was really able to focus entirely on our wedding day. 100/10 stars!!

ion. She shared her wedding knowledge with us and helped guide us as we navigated the overwhelming world of wedding planning. We were especially appreciative of all the help she provided in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We live out of state and Kaitlin went to all of our final meetings and even helped pick up wedding cake flavored ice cream from Kopps for our reception! On our wedding day, she went above and beyond to make sure our vision came to life. I highly recommend Barefoot to Bow Tie Events for anyone who wants some additional help planning their wedding or event.

song at the evening reception. She was extremely gracious and pleasant to work with during the venue setup, and no detail seemed too small.
Only minutes after the wedding concluded, Kaitlin orchestrated a quick transformation of the same room used for the wedding for a plated dinner. Every table was perfectly decorated.
If you are looking for someone to make the most important day of your life go smoother, Kaitlin is without question a wedding planner who will deliver. She is amazing and goes the extra mile.
Hire Kaitlin and leave all of the details of your special day to her. You will certainly be happy that you did!

Not only was Kaitlin invaluable in the wedding planning process, but our day would not have run as smoothly without her. We hired Kaitlin two years out and she helped us every step...
of the way and made sure no step was forgotten or overlooked. Her and her team made the day of the event virtually stress free by directing and taking care of everything with minimal input. She made me and my husband feel at ease and even though we had unexpected rain and other difficulties we did not worry because we knew it was being handled. On top of moving our cocktail hour indoors unexpectedly, Kaitlin and her team made sure my husband and I were doing good, had drinks, had food, and had the best day. We cannot recommend her enough for your big day!

us put together a day that was exactly what we hoped for it to be and she ensured that everything went off with out a hitch!
I did a lot of research and several interviews to pick a planner, and I 100% made the right choice picking Kaitlin.
She is incredibly organized. The spreadsheets she had made sure that no detail was forgotten and that we got to everything we needed to on time. I was often running behind on making decisions, and Kaitlin checked in on my progress in the friendliest, never pushy, always helpful way.
Kaitlin is hardworking and creative. She had great suggestions of ways we could personalize our wedding. She had helpful vendor recommendations, and when I was stuck between multiple options, she had helpful perspectives that helped me make a choice. She is also flexible. When I changed my mind on something, she helped without batting an eye. Finally, she's a great energy to have working alongside you during the planning process, and on the actual day! :)

Her help setting up and tearing down the reception was so valuable to me. If you're on the fence about whether to hire a planner, I highly recommend it and particularly recommend this vendor. When I started planning my wedding, I wasn't sure if I needed a planner but there are so many details Kaitlin helped plan and execute that I wouldn't have thought of and wouldn't have wanted for me or a family member to do on one of the busiest and most important days of my life. :)

On the day of, Kaitlin was one of the main reasons everything ran so smoothly! She set up all our decor and kept us on time throughout the entire night. At the end of the night, we were expecting to have some clean up to do, but instead Kaitlin had everything ready for our family to quickly put into cars and go!
Kaitlin really went above and beyond and we cannot recommend her enough!!

handful of times to discuss details and she effortlessly answered our many questions. She made sure every minute of the day was planned so we knew exactly what to expect. Thank goodness we had Kaitlin come to our rehearsal because she took charge and made sure everybody knew what to do. On our wedding day, we made a last-minute decision to move the ceremony inside due to inclement weather. It was the biggest relief to know that Kaitlin had everything under control and there was nothing for us to worry about. She made sure everything was set up exactly how we wanted and truly brought our vision to life. Bottom line – on your wedding day, you want to be stress free and able to enjoy the day, soaking in all the special moments. Kaitlin made that possible for us and truly made our wedding dreams come true.

ved from December 31 to July 29), and most importantly did everything the day of the wedding to make the day seamless and beautiful! I literally gasped when I walked into the venue because it looked incredible. Even if you don’t think you need a coordinator, you do. And you should hire Kaitlin.

organized. She let me make decisions on my timeline without pressure. It was great having someone communicate with vendors on my behalf so I didn’t have to deal with the stress. Day of the wedding myself and my family didn’t have to deal with anything in regards to setup or take down, we truly got to enjoy our day stress free! Thank you Kaitlin for helping create a magical day!!
As the mother of the groom, and working closely with a very organized MOB, we found ourselves a little over our heads as the wedding day got closer. Finding that the bride & groom...
had limited time to complete certain tasks, we realized we needed a professional to make sure that everything got done, & went smoothly the day of the wedding. We wanted to enjoy the celebration, not worry about day-of details. Kaitlin stepped in to save the day. Her flexibility to work with our existing plans, as well as her assistance with vendors, set up and clean up (during and at event's end) took a lot of stress off the parents. Having a "go to" person made a huge difference. She scheduled 2 meetings with us to review the timetable & make sure we hadn't left anything out. So glad we hired Kaitlin as "the Day of Coordinator", and believe that the whole process might have been easier if we had hired her earlier! Thanks for helping to make this a perfect day for K & J.

ht. She not only would decorate, but she would also be my day-of coordinator. She would take care of everything so I had nothing to worry about. That is something that I didn’t know I wanted until I talked to her. She answered all my questions right away. Throughout the entire process I knew she was only a text away. I don’t know how many times I texted her freaking out. She always knew what to say to diffuse the situation. We had many phone calls to go through the timelines of the day. This helped me so much. I would have been a lot more stressed if I didn’t have those phone calls. I knew once we got to the day of the wedding that I didn’t have to worry about anything. It was the best feeling in the world where I could just enjoy my day. She and her assistant did an amazing job decorating; she made my vision of my day come to life! I usually have a hard time letting go of the reins when it comes to things like this, but I knew our wedding was in good hands! I would highly recommend Kaitlin to anyone that would like to just enjoy their big day!

0 and wedding was at 5. My daughter and I had a vision and had everything to decorate but knew I wouldn’t have time or be sane if I tried to do myself. I found Kaitlin on this site. I hired her to be a day coordinator to do decorating only, but she was much more than that. I emailed here a lot with questions that had nothing to do with decorating but questions about catering , wanted to add something to the bar choices and tipping questions. Just to name a few. She was alway quick to respond and NEVER made me feel like I was inconveniencing her at all. .
The day of wedding she come to venue early to help me unload everything I had for her to use to decorate. She did a wonderful job with the vision we had. It was beautiful and we received so many comments on how beautiful things were. Kaitlin gotten vision and made it happen.
She repacked everything through out the night and put it in the van for me to pickup in the morning..
I was able to enjoy my daughters day with the worries. Kaitlin was a joy to work with and would highly recommend her for your event .
Kaitlin is very communicative, but is not attentive to the details. Many things were lost in the shuffle on our special day that were preventable.
Due to Covid we last minute changed our venue and date to my parents backyard. I was very overwhelmed with throwing a wedding at home and I could not have done it without Kaitlin! ...
She is extremely organized and creative- she offered so many ideas on how to make our day extra special. On the day of our wedding I was stress free because of Kaitlin. She took care of everything and kept our day on track. I had family members coming up and commenting on how smoothly Kaitlin coordinated the day. We are so grateful for her services- she made our day perfect!

it. We were so lucky to be able to execute our wedding, which was a complete replan in just 7 weeks. Barefoot to Bowtie was very attentive to detail down to who is lighting the candles at the reception - I'm detailed oriented but it was one of those small things I hadn't even considered. Kaitlin also advised on timeline, wedding etiquette, helped us execute and was waiting at the end of our beach side ceremony with a smile (and a cocktail!). It was refreshing to just be able to enjoy our day with our bridesmaids and groomsmen and just go to bed as a married couple without having to supervise set up, unpack and repack items. Everything was delivered in our organized totes back to us by the morning.
