After finding the Barker House, everything about our wedding planning went smooth and easy and that is such a testament to how incredible the team there is. They answered all of our questions and concerns nearly immediately. And the day of our wedding could not have gone better. They set up everything exactly how we wanted without my new husband or I having to worry about a single thing. They were attentive and paced out the day to perfection. We really could not have had a better wedding day and the team at the Barker House, especially our coordinator Mandy, were a major part of that.

Their entire team was professional, efficient, and very easy to work with. Any question or request was easily answered and accounted for almost immediately. We loved the included vendors, which made planning a breeze and saved us thousands of dollars. We didn't have to stress about finding the "right fit of vendors" because this place is a well-oiled machine designed for producing the perfect wedding. The food- incredible and super accommodating for any guests with allergies or restrictions. The florals- absolutely stunning and made our church and details that much more stunning. Our DJ- never let the dance floor die and was the perfect energy we wanted for our night. The service and care the day of the wedding was top tier. My husband and I, back in the day, worked in the service industry and we were totally blown away with how well we were treated. They made sure we were fed, had drinks in our hand, and constantly checked in to see if we needed anything taken care of. I could go on for hours about how wonderful our wedding was here. All my friends and family keep telling us how amazing the wedding was, and I have to thank the Barker House for making our wedding the best night of our lives.

o I never felt overwhelmed. I had an issue with a vendor a few weeks before the wedding, and Lyric did an amazing job finding a solution. We had a lot of out of town guests and the cozy New England vibe was perfect for our winter wedding. We are so happy with the experience we had at Barker House.

I had a whole idea of how I thought my wedding would look and they made it ten million times more beautiful and smooth than I could've ever imagined. I cannot stress enough how much I wouldn't have changed a single thing from venue to people to wedding coordinator. This place literally does it all and my husband and I will look back on this day with only the fondest memories because of how incredible this venue and the people were.

n the hall, and it was a completely different vibe...still beautiful, but light and airy, perfect for the reception. Every question we had was answered in a smart, friendly manner and we never felt rushed. The entire planning team was amazing...they were very responsive (usually answered emails within a few hours to a day), were able to handle the few unusual requests I had for the day of (wanted fake Christmas trees at our October wedding, lol) and helped us make every decision super easy. I can't say enough great things about Mandy, our day of coordinator, she made everything feel so effortless and easy on the wedding day. Even when my MOH was having trouble with my bustle she pitched in to help. Everyone couldn't stop talking about the food, the options felt unlimited, everything was delicious (especially the panko crusted chicken, my favorite!!) and they were so good about accommodating the allergies of a few of our guests. Having our wedding at the Barker House was the best experience and I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

ng different than just another ballroom. The mix or old and new is amazing and the location is stunning right off scituate harbor. The all inclusive package is the way to go- it made the process so seamless with all the vendors already contracted. The all inclusive also includes meal, open bar if you go with that package, and appetizers. I was absolutely floored by all that was included especially compared to the many other pricey venues in New England. The Baker House really could not do it any better. The process was completely stress free and allowed me to be pretty relaxed through the whole process- people kept commenting how calm I was and I owe it all to the Barker House. The local vendors they contract with are fantastic- DJ, florals, and bakery- they are top of the line. I cannot also say enough about the staff. They are organized, efficient, and so pleasant to work with. My day of coordinator was so kind and made sure everything ran smoothly. She captured my vision perfectly for the decorations that I provided to her. The venue was absolutely stunning. The catering staff was extremely accommodating and kind. They all went out of their way to help those handicapped at my wedding. The staff couldn’t be a kinder group of people. The Barker House really has the process down to a science and I could not recommend a better place for your wedding- my day went absolutely perfect and I could not thank them enough. This is a must go see if you are looking at venues and I highly recommend them!

is-Lynn, and banquet captain, Chelsi, went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and ease our worries. Then, the venue itself is stunning. Wedgewood did a great job of maintaining the classic New England charm of a 17th century building while adding all the modern and luxe amenities you could ever need. Finally, our guests could not stop saying how good the food was. I would recommend this venue to everyone looking to get married in the New England area!

The older tavern portion is historic and has lots of charm. The food was fantastic, all of our guests loved it! Amanda and Paula were so attentive and made sure our day went perfectly.

rything would turn out fine (and it did!). Venue/Space: We were the first wedding post-renovation to have an outdoor ceremony. The space is gorgeous and looks super sleek. It's enclosed yet felt so spacious. The cocktail hour and reception were inside the building which is absolutely stunning. It felt elegant, historic, but also comfortably homey. The whole venue is incredibly aesthetic. They did an amazing job with the place. Planning/Packages: The comprehensive packages are what really drew us to Wedgewood. It truly made the planning process SO much easier; the fact that the packages are so highly customizable helped make our special day the wedding of our dreams. They emphasized price transparency, and we were grateful for that as well. We decided to use other vendors for some aspects, and Wedgewood easily integrated their services into our wedding day. The Food: The food! Amazing!! We were gone during cocktail hour, but Paula set aside some of everything for us to try when we returned. We, and our guests, LOVED everything. The meatballs were incredible, the apple and brie phyllo apps were phenomenal, and the crab cakes were so good. During dinner, we again were super impressed. The prime rib, salmon, and chicken piccata were remarkable! We also added a mashed potatoes bar to be served at dinner, and that was a hit! They were phenomenal. For dessert, we brought our own cookies, which they were happy to set out for us, but we also added chocolate strawberries and a donut station. The donuts were a smash -- they were huge, fun, and absolutely delicious. For a late night bite, we added a nachos bar. Again, this was a great decision. So many people complimented the meat that came with those nachos. The food will definitely be a memorable aspect of our wedding! The Staff: The staff also helped make our wedding day a success. The general managers did transition several months into the planning process but this did not impact us in any way. When we met the new manager, Duncan, he was already familiar with us and our event and answered any and all of our many questions. Cassie was our wedding coordinator and was our main point of contact for the planning process. She was AMAZING! She was so much fun to work with and super helpful. She answered all of our questions super quickly and was able to solve any problem that we encountered. We also gave her a lot of autonomy in setting up the decorations that we brought, and she knocked it out of the park. On the day of the wedding, Cassie made sure that everything went smoothly and that we wouldn't have to worry about anything. We also met Lyric the day before our wedding during the rehearsal, but we wished we had met her sooner! She was such a ray of sunshine and helped our wedding day run smoothly. She checked in on us throughout the day to check if we needed anything. She was awesome. Paula was our banquet coordinator, and she was FABULOUS! She was so unbelievably kind, helpful, and always so eager to help us. We had accommodations that required all of the staff to have responsibilities beyond a traditional wedding at the Barker House, but Paula truly went above and beyond to make things go smoothly. Overall, the staff was incredible to work with, and they made our day so easy and one to remember.

we were getting bad vibes all together. At that point we were almost ready to cancel our wedding, but then we found the Barker. At the time of our first visit The Barker was under construction and renovation. Within the first 10 min of sitting down with Camryn and her team we were sold! And we couldn’t even see the entire venue yet! The Barker House’s team is so well organized, thoughtful and will make you feel extremely comfortable! We got married on 1/5/24 and it was an absolutely perfect day! Please please please visit the Barker House I promise you will not be disappointed!
