Great communication and was flexible with flower drop off. Our flowers and aisle swag came out great! I appreciated that they are willing to work with all budgets.
I really enjoyed working with Barnstead Farmstead and are giving them a 5 because the flowers are so so beautiful and Kirsten was extremely responsive which can go a long way when needed. Hopefully more people will rate her soon as she deserves lots of business!!
Because a 4 wouldn't warrant how I felt the day of, I'll just call out that as always organizing & communication are key - we had a few blips with accidently giving 4 vs. 5 bridesmaids bouquets (which Kirsten they delivered the 5th the day after), she included a few pink flowers that I specifically mentioned to not include. All small and having a vendor that will work through this is all that you really need. I would highly recommend.
We hired Barnstead Farmstead as our florist for our wedding this Fall. We ordered 3 bulk buckets to put together the centerpieces ourselves and then also ordered an arbor piece, bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres to be delivered the morning of the wedding. I didn’t have a preference on the types of flowers which I think ended up working really well because Kirsten put together beautiful combinations that I never would have thought of! I’m so glad I gave a rough idea of the colors I wanted and left the rest of to her. The bulk bucket pick up went great, the flowers were beautiful and extra greenery was provided so we could build perfect centerpieces! The day of the wedding everything was dropped off and Kirsten set up the arbor piece as well. The arbor was stunning, but I think there was a minor miscommunication between us. One corner piece was set up, when I think I initially asked for a corner arrangement and a smaller straight arrangement on the opposite side of the arbor for an asymmetrical look. All of the bouquets were perfect! They were exactly what I was hoping for and they looked beautiful even several days later. We also asked for boutonnieres for the groomsmen and the dads and corsages for the moms, but what was delivered was only boutonnieres. We had to scramble to turn the 4 boutonnieres (that were supposed to be corsages on bracelets) into corsages. Everything ended up working out and there were enough pieces for everyone, but it was a little disappointing to deal with just before our ceremony started. Even though there were a couple of small bumps, I would still totally recommend Barnstead Farmstead. The flowers were stunning, I got the color pallet I was looking for, and I was able to do a little bit of DIY.
Finding Kirsten was an absolute dream come true for my wedding!! I was feeling pretty overwhelmed by how much everything for a wedding costs and had pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn’t be able to afford a florist at all. I started looking for florists that basically supplied flowers, for me to DIY it, and I found Barnstead Farmstead. Kirsten was super responsive and had a call with me, I expressed my concerns, and she blew my mind by writing up a proposal of what she could provide in my budget. Turns out I didn’t need to DIY the flowers at all! Honestly, she understood me and what I was looking for SO well. I knew she was the one I wanted to hire, immediately. Her designs struck the perfect balance between boho/natural/organic and refined – everything was beautiful yet fuss-free, which is exactly what I wanted. I’m obsessed with my flower crown and bouquet – and the flower crown actually wound up drying out really well, so not only did it hold up on my head all day/night long (seriously wore that thing for a solid 12+ hours!) but I still have it as a keepsake from the day! She also helped me out so much with a last-minute crisis when my tent was delivered with BRIGHT BLUE water barrels that weren’t fully concealed by the covers the rental company supplied. I took a photo of them and sent them to her the day before the wedding, in a panic, and she pulled through with some vines and greenery to make everything look beautiful! Really, I’m so happy with all of my vendors from my wedding, but I can’t stop raving about Kirsten and Barnstead Farmstead. She’s amazing.
Kirsten was absolutely wonderful! We had her make a few arrangements for the ceremony site, as well as my bouquet and boutonnieres. We also bought buckets of flowers to make our own arrangements for the reception tables. It was all beautiful, whimsical and full of color! One of the big reasons I chose Barnstead Farmstead was their emphasis on growing flowers locally and in an environmentally conscious way. Everything we received was grown on their farm, and she even included some roadside-foraged wildflowers that I had specifically requested. I could not have been more pleased!
