Barnswallow is not just a rental company, and you are not just a number. We offer services beyond rentals to help ensure your special day is as beautiful as the love you share.
The full service rental experience is customized to each individual client and their needs. If we do not have what you are looking for we will custom build it for you or we will find it. We pride ourselves in bringing your vision to life so you and your loved ones will experience your day in the setting you have always dreamed of.
Barnswallow offers rentals, delivery and styling, along with set up and take down - making us the only full service rental company in Northern California.
Our showroom is located in Placerville, California.
We primarily service El Dorado county and surrounding areas extending into all of Northern California.

items, but they don't have dance floors, tents, and the glassware didn't match our style, so we had to work with another company for those items. Here is my feedback for what made the process more challenging and things to think about as you plan your event!
1. Timeliness of responses and ease of communications - starting from the first quote (took multiple weeks), it was definitely a challenge to get timely responses. One response after our site visit took a month and I had to follow-up multiple times. I tried a few ways of communicating, by listing bullets in an email, taking pictures of the quote draft with marked-up comments, talking through on the phone. None of these worked perfectly and took a while to get quotes updated. I think they have great products but could improve on the business and communication side.
2. Last minute questions - I definitely felt overwhelmed with some of the last minute questions. For example, in May (for a September wedding) we took off the teacup saucers but then as the team was loading the truck, we got emails/texts asking if we wanted the saucers. I appreciate her thoroughness during loading, but I would prefer to avoid the last minute questions that had been decided a while back. Perhaps a single phone call instead of multiple texts would have helped since the days leading up to the wedding are so hectic.
3. Timing of delivery - unfortunately, there were problems with their trucks so they showed up after the 3 hour window provided. The timing made it difficult because I had to get ready for the rehearsal and separate welcome party at a different location with ~150 people, so I couldn't be there while they set the delivered items. I understand things are out of our control, but this just added to the stress of set up because we had to wait until the big pieces were set up to take care of the rest of the decorations. We specifically chose a Friday delivery per their request to make it a smoother set up so the delay on delivery was frustrating.
4. Damaged items - first, we were told the week of that we would need to run extension cords for the lamps. This was a last minute communication and we would have been able to plan ahead of time with up front communication, minor frustration. More importantly, some of the chandelier lights we had received didn't work. We had an electrician on site that was unable to make use/fix the broken chandelier lights.
5. Additional charges - having been through this, I realize now that there are always additional charges, so just including this in my review so you are aware. We were charged $1/chair to set the chairs (was a surprise a few months after we had been reviewing quotes), $10/table for table set up (was on the quote from the beginning so not a surprise but adds up). Also to think about and be aware of, since we couldn't get all rental items with one company, we had to pay delivery fees to both companies which adds to the cost.
6. One easy suggestion - number the invoices with the updated date of the draft, that would help keep track of all the changes back/forth since there is so much that goes into coordinating the rentals.
