My daughter and son in law just had their wedding at Crystal Plaza on January 3rd , 2021. They chose to use the band Sterling from Barry Herman after meeting with Barry and list...
ening to their video. Sterling was phenomenal!!!! Their music and sound was perfection ! Our guest couldn't stop talking about how amazing they were. They were professional and never tried to steal the show or make themselves the center of attention . They also always had someone on the stage playing music, the bandmembers did not take a break all at once leaving the stage empty.
Barry himself was very easy to work with especially in answering phone calls and rescheduling due to Covid.
For anyone getting married at Crystal Plaza ,or any other NJ venue, Barry Herman has been a preferred vendor for over 33 years! He knows the acoustics of the room and makes sure all his bands sound amazing!!!!
Fun and Elegance
My fantasy wedding and reality matched perfectly.
Barry Herman Entertainment and his band "Paragon"was worth every penny we spent. The music was everything I had...
hoped for. My friends and guests of all ages were on the dance floor all night.
I highly recommend them to all Brides.
When Barry Herman Entertainment sent us an email we were excited with the short clips of several of his bands. I really thought it was too soon to look for music for the wedding. ...
Our date was almost two years away, but, I said to my now husband Tom, let's at least get a feel for what is involved for the ceremony and rest of the party. I emailed Barry back, and we started our very friendly email conversation. each of his emails closed with an no obligation, no high-pressure invitation to visit him. No time to do that I thought, let's keep going by email. After several more emails We agreed to visit with Barry.
We never realized how much information Barry gave us that we never considered. We left feeling
very excited, and had lots of fun things to think about. And true to his word no high-pressure. I could have saved so time had I not tried to do it by email.
A short time after our visit we did booked the band STERLING.
The wedding was all we hoped for. Romance, Fun, and a band that knew how to get and keep guests of all ages on the dancefloor. When we returned from our honeymoon my Mom told us, how many guests commented on the great music and vocals, and remarked "it was a pleasure not to have to scream at each other during dinner."
We want to thank Barry and Cherie (she runs the office) for making the music such an easy and happy part of our planning
Brides save yourself time and effort. Some things just need to be done in person.

nt the ballroom doors opened. Twelve very talented musicians and singers played everything from the classics to the newest radio hits. My 80-year-old grandparents were on the dancefloor!
I can't say enough about the wonderful way they were able to perform our requests.
The office was a pleasure to work with and Cherie could not do enough for us.
Thank you, Thank you Barry Herman Entertainment

Our Wedding was in January at the Crystal Plaza. It was everything I Ever Dreamed it would be. Barry Herman suggested we use his band "Ecelectics"
From the moment the ballroom d...
oors opened these twelve extremely talented singers and musicians had our guests packing the dancefloor, they played everything from the classics, Sinatra, Rock, to the latest radio hits.
They had our 80 year old Grandparents up and dancing. I can't say enough about the wonderful way the fit our requests into the flow of the evening. What a great band!
The way the office personnel treated us, especially Sheri, you'd think we were spending a "king's ransom" Of course we didn't. Sheri just could not do enough for us.
Thank you BARRY HERMAN ENTERTAINMENT,
We loved our experience with Barry Herman! We used the band Cashmere for our reception and had several instrumentalists play during the ceremony and cocktail hour. During the cerem...
ony, they perfectly set the tone with our special selected songs and I will truly never forget them playing somewhere over the rainbow as I walked down the aisle. At the reception, they kept our guests dancing the whole night! They read the crowd perfectly and the night flowed without any lulls or random songs we didn't like or know. I have never been to a wedding that had a better band and kept guests out on the dance floor better than this- they exceeded our expectations. Finally, Barry was very helpful and accommodating throughout our entire planning process.
FANTASY FULFILLED ALL OUR FANTASIES !!
We were married 10/14 and they were fabulous. Loved the new female singers and everyone in the band were so nice to us. They kept coming up...
and asking if they could do anything else for us. I don't want to forget the attention we also got in Barry Herman's office. They were so attentive and cared about our wedding so much.

Early October was such an exiting night for me and my husband. Sterling from Barry Herman Entertainment was better than better (if that's possible!). 11 pieces including an elect...
ric violinist were spectacular. Barry helped us soooo much, so kudos to him and his staff, too. We'll be back for our 50th Anniversary.
Our wedding was in early September of this year and we used BARRY HERMAN ENTERTAINMENT and his Band Fantasy. They were beyond our expectations. Each of the singers was a dream to ...
listen to. We did have one glitch, one of the female vocalists did not make it but Barry had told us when we signed the contract that he had understudies for each of his lead people. She was great. Barry and his staff were very easy to work with.
I highly recommend Fantasy and Barry Herman Entertainment.

All I can say is WOW and thank you !! I saw Fantasy's video in the office a year before my wedding and didn't think it could get any better, but it did. The new female vocals wer...
e phenomenal. My guests had a great time and so did we. Thanks again.
Sterling was excellent !! They did my ceremony and cocktail party, too. All our guests were up dancing the whole night. Thank you Barry Herman and Sterling !!!!!!!
DJ George was GREAT!!! Exactly what we had in mind!! Thank you!!!
CASHMERE KILLS!
Our wedding could not have gone more smoothly, thanks to Barry Herman Entertainment and his band Cashmere. From the moment, they began playing at the cocktail party...
the room became electric. Just the right volume so you could talk to guests. and when we went into the ballroom, when the full band was playing it was amazing. They played for every age group and had the dance floor jumping all night long. Our friends told us they couldn't believe how they made each style so authentic. From Classic Rock to Motown, to Sinatra and then to top 10 hits everything sounded like the original.
They never stopped. Live music was always playing, even during the dinner, they had wonderful background music going.
We stretched our budget to have live music and it was worth every penny.
Thanks, Cashmere and Barry Herman Entertainment.

We received so many compliments from our guests about how much fun they had the night of our wedding and DJ Neil played a big role in this .Prior to our wedding I was able to speak...
with Neil at length about what music we liked and disliked and I was so happy he was able to find our first dance song since it's not the most popular song. He knew very well how to work the crowd and had all of us dancing. The main reason we chose Neil is because he can sing (very beautifully by the way) and this was such a nice way for us to enjoy our dinner. I would definitely recommend him for parties; it was really easy to work with him. When I had my initial meeting with Barry I liked that I was able to see videos of several DJs and was given several package options to chose from. I had an easy time working with Barry Herman Entertainment which I really appreciated since it relieved stress from the overall wedding planning process.
If there is one song that you want to be the most incredible, the most well done and memorable at your wedding, it would be the first dance as husband and wife. It took every fiber...
of my being to not cry during my first dance, because the band played it so terribly. It was almost like none of the band members knew the song, had never heard it, had never even practiced it until they played it at my wedding reception. They were off-key, off-beat and just overall completely botched it. I even had guests come up to me later in the evening and days after the wedding, and ask me if the band knew the song, it was that bad. The band was Fantasy, and I also have to say that the members of the band who played on my wedding night were NOT the same members in the video that I watched when my husband and I chose them the year prior. I recognized very few of them, and that was extremely disappointing. The LEAST you could do is tell the bride and groom that they would not receive the exact same people that they were expecting. The only reason for the 3-star rating is because they were decent throughout the rest of the night with everything else that they played. I would not book this band again, and I will probably never use Barry Herman again because I am so highly disappointed in this entire situation.
We had Barry Herman's band, Sterling, at my son's wedding at Crystal Plaza in Livingston, NJ. In short, Sterling was fantastic! We chose Sterling over a year before based on video ...
clips, and they surpassed all expectations. They sounded great musically, the vocalists were excellent, and they were able to perform a wide range of styles equally well. But their talent went beyond musical performance. Their timing was perfect, and their sets were put together so effectively that everyone was on the dance floor all night. And perhaps most importantly for me, they understood that their role was to be the catalyst to make the party great, but the stars of the evening were the bride and groom and all their guests. They never tried to claim the spotlight for themselves or over-manage the party or the dancing. They were such great performers that the partying and dancing all happened organically, as they should!
We had several musicians among our guests, including two or three professionals, and all agreed Sterling was a great band! Thanks so much for helping to make our kids' wedding a night to remember.
CAN WE DO IT AGAIN?
What a magical night, I can't believe it's over. CAN'T WE DO IT JUST ONCE MORE?.
Everything was perfect, thanks to Barry Herman Entertainment. We use their ...
band Sterling along with Harp and Cello for the ceremony and Nathan, who did just a few vocals and played keyboard for the cocktail party. My friends thought it was very cool having a keyboardist/vocalist who could change the sound of his voice for each of the few songs he did.
Sterling was beyond awesome! Packing the dance floor all evening with such a wide array of styles of music, and what hot singers.
Barry's motto says it all "Empty Seats and Rave Reviews"
You have made me a huge fan and I would recommend Barry Herman Entertainment without question.
AND THE MUSIC JUST DIDN'T STOP!! We had a string trio for our ceremony and a keyboardist, Nathan who sings also, for our cocktail hour. Then DJ Hunter and his assistant just didn...
't stop and our guests loved it!! And, needless to say, so did we !! Thanks to Barry Herman and his staff and all his talented entertainers.
OUR WEDDING SHINED!!
Thanks to Barry Herman and his staff we were guided through our whole wedding. We chose Cashmere and they were right...they kept our dance floor filled. Our ...
string quartet was just exquisite too, for our ceremony and cocktail party. Yes, brides, grab them if you're lucky enough to get them !!
Sterling Made Our Wedding !!!
This band was fabulous and my guests are still raving about them. Barry Herman's office was so easy to work with and took care of all my details.

ks to all of you !! I'd definitely reccomend you to all brides.
100% Guaranteed...BARRY HERMAN ENTERTAINMENT AND THE BAND "ETERNITY"
We all second guess and worry about our Wedding plans. I know I did.. Thanks to Barry Herman and Cherie they ...
kept me on track for the year and a half I contracted them.
The reception began and "ETERNITY" had the dance floor full and my guests dancing from their first song to their last. Every style and decade was included. Top 10 to Big Band, special requests included.
Our parents told us when we returned from our Honeymoon that the phone did not stop ringing with compliments about the band.
Don't hesitate seeing and using Barry Herman Entertainment.
A GREAT TIME FOR ALL AGES
We used DJ Neil and his assistant. What a great a great job he did. We had guests of all ages and he rocked the place. I thought I wanted a young DJ but...
Barry explaind why the younger guys don't have the performing experience and the life experience to be able to connect with all the generations. Barry you were right Neil played for our friends in their twenties and then the older folks, and kept the dance floor full all evening.
I would recommend Barry Herman Entertainment to all Brides.
All you can want and More!
From the moment we entered Barry Herman's office we knew we were in the right place. He took his time with us asnd we booked the band Highpoint. What a ...
great party. Everything we were promised was delivered and even more. No matter which band you choose you have a winner..
"OUR NIGHT TO REMEMBER"
Thanks to Barry Herman Entertainment's band, "Sterling", we had the best wedding we could have dreamed of!! From our ceremony strings, to our cocktails and ...
then our party, they were so professional and had our guests up dancing till they didn't even want to leave!
The office also helped us through each step.
Thanks to everyone involved !!
We did lots of research and decide on Barry Herman Entertainment. What a great find! I can't say enough good things about this company. Fantasy was the band we selected and true...
to Barry Herman's promise the dance floor never empty . We loved the vocalists, especially Matt when he sang the "Journey" songs. Brides, don't waste your time running around checking bands. Go directly to Barry Herman Entertainment !
Barry Herman is wonderful to work with! He made it so easy for us to choose our wedding band in a professional and unhurried manner. We LOVED our band, Sterling, and are constantly...
receiving praise for the great band we had! We highly recommend his entertainment services. We have another family wedding to plan and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Thank you Barry!!
Good value for your money, the DJ we chose was excellent. Our date was 7/2/16, and we used Barry Herman for all of our wedding's music, from the harpist who played beautiful music ...
during the ceremony, to the keyboardist who played renditions of classic hits like "It's a wonderful world", to the DJ during the party. Our musicians were very professional and friendly, and our interactions with Barry Herman himself were also very courteous, friendly and professional. The one critique I can offer was that we did not feel that we were not kept in the loop at all times on when our payments were due, and we received a final payment notice that was very close to the due date. It turned out that we were fine on our payments and didn't owe any balance, but this feeling added slightly to our stress in the run up to the wedding. All is well that ends well though, and this vendor deserves the highest of praise!
WE HAD THE BEST
This past June we were married at the fabulous Crystal Plaza, and used Barry Herman Entertainment.
What a great night... the band CASHMERE was beyond awesome. No ...
one left the dance floor all evening. The band played for all generations covering every decade of music. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
CASHMERE. YOU MADE THE PARTY!
After carefully considering our options, we decided to hire Barry Herman Entertainment for our wedding. We booked the bass and keyboard duo for our cocktail hour and DJ Neil for ou...
r reception. The entire day was a success beyond our expectations.
As professional musicians, we had high standards, especially for live music, and the cocktail hour duo was great. We were concerned as well about getting guests to dance, considering it was an afternoon party. DJ Neil kept everyone on the dance floor the whole time. His Caribbean number "Don't Stop the Carnival" was a hit, as was his singing during the meal. Neil was in close contact with us in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and it paid off -- all difficult name pronunciations and particular song requests were perfect.
It was as smooth a wedding party as we could have had, and we owe much of this to the professionalism and high quality of the musicians we hired through Barry Herman. Barry himself was delightful to work with -- organized, courteous, and reliable. We give Barry Herman Entertainment our highest recommendation. Thank you!!

I would highly recommend Barry Herman Entertainment! They are professional and very easy to work with. Our DJ and MC were phenomenal! The majority of our party was on the dance ...
floor for the entire evening. The music played was excellent dancing music and they kept our party going. People said that this was one of the best weddings they had every been to!
I am not the kind of Bride that makes a big deal over every little detail. So I thought I would let
Richard (the Groom) choose the band. He spent hours on the internet looking a...
t bands. Then he visited at least 8 bands or companies. He told me that with out a doubt
Barry Herman Entertainment had the best group of bands. He set an appointment and we both went to see
the groups. I could'nt believe how
professional, good sounding and attractive the people in the band were. We chose Fantasy.
It is now two months since the wedding and our folks are still getting calls about how great Fantasy was. Not only was the dance music exceptional but the dinner music was perfect and our guests were able to talk to each
other throughout dinner.
I would recemmond Barry Herman Entertainment and Fantasy to all my friends

THANK YOU FOR THE BEST DJ EVER !!!

Throughout the entire planning process for our wedding Barry Herman was a pleasure to work with. He was personable and professional and had a few options to fit within our budget. ...
He spent a good amount of time walking us through various bands and DJs. In the end we hired the band Cashmere who were incredible. Our wedding was on a Sunday afternoon and the biggest compliment we heard was that everyone forgot it wasn't a Saturday night! The band kept the crowd dancing the entire evening and they always had a huge smile on their faces. The entire band checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we were happy and didn't have any feedback. They really enjoyed their time which in turn made everyone at the wedding enjoy their time. Our photographer and a number of guests said it was the best band they ever heard! We highly recommend Barry Herman Entertainment and the band Cashmere!
We hired Barry Herman Entertainment for our wedding a few weeks ago and were satisfied. The only downside is, upon the initial visit we were told about a form we would complete bre...
aking down definitely play, do not play, requests, etc. and he didn't stick completely to what we had wanted by missing some of our definite songs and taking many requests. The good part about it though was that the dance floor was packed the entire night and DJ Hunter kept us dancing!
We were married in July of this year. I wanted a very romantic wedding for the first part and then a wild dancing party for the rest of the night. After lots of searching for the...
right band I selected Barry Herman's band "STERLING'. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM. The female leader got it exactly right. The beginning of the evening was wonderful sophisticated music I thought my and Larry's parents and their friends would love. They filled the dance floor. Surprisingly our friends also danced. Then after the main course Sterling started the contemporary dance music. I was shocked to see the dance floor again fill up with all ages. The older folks and our friends packed the floor. The band also took requests. What a night!
Need a great band call Barry Herman Entertainment. We are forever fans.

THE "STERLING BAND' from BARRY HERMAN ENTERTAINMENT is the best I ever heard. Don't just take my word for it, so many of our 250 guests called after the wedding to especially com...
pliment the band. Great Song selection, perfect volume, and the music during dinner was at the perfect level. You could actually talk to the person across the table without screaming. The dancefloor was never empty.
I was surprised at all gthe styles of music they performed.
I met with Barry Herman to arrange our band. He was personable and very helpful taking us through each part of the reception. His office is right on top of things too. Cherie helped me with my final details. She was excellent.
I would recommend them without hesitation.

There are not enough stars to rate this band. We had Cashmere from Barry Herman Entertainment, and they were beyond fabulous. Their repertoire was unlimited and they played anyth...
ing we requested prior to and during the reception. They got our guests up and dancing and kept them on the dance floor all night long. They were accommodating in letting my brother-in-law sing a song and my father-in-law's band play at the end of the night. The band and the singers were awesome! The did not miss a beat the whole day. There was continuous music all day! I think our guests had the time of their lives because of our choice in band!!
Cashmere was AWESOME at my son's wedding. Musicians were incredible, vocals and harmonies were amazing. They had a great set list, everybody was up and dancing. I can't say eno...
ugh great things about this band. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
We hired DJ Hunter for our reception, and he was GREAT! Everyone raved about how he mixed slow and dance songs throughout the reception to keep everyone on the dance floor, and tha...
t's exactly what happened! We also hired the harp and flute for our ceremony, which sounded beautiful :) We enjoyed working with Barry Herman (and that's mostly who we talked to with planning), he's very accommodating and attentive to his clients. I actually ended up calling him on vacation by accident (oops!), but he still called the office and took care of my request as soon as he returned. We would recommend Barry Herman in a heartbeat, there's a reason he's been in business for over 50 years!
We recently had the wedding of my son at the Manor in West Orange New Jersey. We originally had intended to bring in a band from Philadelphia that we had used previously when som...
eone suggested we take a look at one of the bands with Barry Herman Entertainment. After reviewing some of the bands from their website and talking with Barry Herman, we elected to hire Fantasy.
We were not disappointed. The band was outstanding. They displayed great musical talent and performed with enthusiasm. They also provided that personal touch with the bride and groom and families that makes it so much nicer. We received many compliments on our selection of the band.
One of the comments that many people made were that they did not try to overpower the room with volume so that it was hard to hear anything else. They were, in a word, perfect.
While I don't anticipate having to hire a band in the New Jersey area in the immediate future, I would not hesitate to go with this band, or one of the other bands that work with Barry Herman Entertainment.
Barry Herman Entertainment's trio and the band Sterling truly nailed everything for our wedding! Every request we put in between the trio for the ceremony and cocktail hour and the...
band was honored! Barry's team was extremely responsive leading up to the wedding. It was an amazing experience for both my husband and myself, our families and our loved ones that attended- family and friends are STILL talking about the band 6 months later. They got EVERYONE on the dance floor! Some individuals choose to go with a DJ because they are unsure whether a band can deliver the same as an original song but Sterling's performances sounded better than any prerecorded tracks! I cannot thank Barry Herman enough for making our wedding so memorable and holding true to what they promised. We had some glitches with our other vendors but not with Barry (they went beyond all expectations) ! I hope to be able to use Barry Herman Entertainment again and would highly recommend Sterling to anyone looking for a superb band!!
I first off would like to thank George for a fantastic wedding music he was totally in tune with our tastes in music.
Also Barry herman himself, Well what can i say, a true profe...
ssional who helped us when we had some unforeseen issues and helped us through them in a truly professional manner.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Barry HERMAN and all of his crue for there attention to the little details, including the percussionist's that we had accompanying the Music. On a side note:, I first encountered Barry Herman over 20 plus years ago from a commercial he ran on a local cable station and i was impressed with him then as i am now.
Barry Herman provided us with
an orchestra for the ceremony.
They were exceptional and provided our guests with a unique experience prior to the ceremony.
The band and singers w...
ho performed at the wedding were in keeping with type of music the guests responded to. Our guests were on the dance floor for the majority of the time except for when they were eating.
Most of all the bride and groom were thrilled with their selection of the band and other entertainment.
Job well done!!!!!
DJ George and his assistant were GREAT! They found a way to weave in requests from us and from our guests in a natural way. They checked in with us to make sure we were having fun ...
and to ask if we had any requests. It meant a lot to me that not only did they get my friends dancing, but they also got my parents and their friends dancing. Everyone had a great time.
We also hired a keyboard player for our reception and cocktail hour who was great, too.
Barry Herman Entertainment was by far the most professional, quality, and affordable entertainment company I met with. Barry Herman is easily accessible by phone and e-mail and eag...
er to help a nervous bride. He made me excited about getting married. He was also able to recommend an exceptional florist for the event. We wanted a wedding with traditional Jewish music as well as American music. Our three piece band was a delight, young and old, Jewish and Non-Jewish were complimenting our choice of entertainment after the event. I initially wanted a very simple wedding with just a guitarist. As the guest list and style of the party evolved during the planning stages, Barry was flexible and extremely helpful in guiding us in regards to the entertainment. He takes a vested interest in party entertainment, treating each event as if it were his own wedding. We described what we were interested in and he naturally knew and understood the best direction to take. My mother had recommended him because his company provided the entertainment for her own wedding back in 1974. I feel honored to be a part of the second generation to enjoy the work of Barry Herman Entertainment. I would highly recommend his company and will use them again for future social events.
My husband is a musician and was very concerned about our music choice. We looked at tons of band companies. When he met with Barry Herman Entertainment (I was not avaliable that...
day) he came back totally excited. We made another appointment and looked at the band he flipped over "Fantasy". They were perfect. We truly had empty seats all night long. The dance floor was packed. They played everything from oldies to the newest songs. And you do get the people they show you on their demo Barry Herman also provided the Harp and violins for our ceremony, I can't wait to see our video.
They are wonderful to work with, no attitude. I strongly recommnd them.

eir office to the last minute changes, the upper management and staff at Barry Herman were wonderful. Nothing threw them. And the band! Cashmere was exactly as shown on their video,
full of energy and excitement. From Classic Rock to hits on the radio they were the best. Our guests raved about them as they left the party and raved again when they called our parents to talk about the wedding. BARRY HERMAN AND CASHMERE ALL YOU COULD EVER WANT!!
