Barry Lamster DJ

Barry is a wonderful pianist, DJ, and master of ceremonies who made our wedding phenomenal. Barry brought a wealth of experience, gave us great advice, and was very receptive of our input when we were planning the itinerary and playlist for our reception. He even provided incredible colored lighting at the venue that matched our wedding colors and made the dancing part of the night all the more special and beautiful. He is very detail-oriented and helped us put together a great party for us and our guests. Thanks to Barry, our wedding was a wonderful, fun day we'll remember happily forever.

Barry was the best! He really went above and beyond to make our day so special. He made sure to understand the type atmosphere we envisioned for our reception and made it a reality! He kept the dance party going all night with the thoughtful playlist and the awesome dance lighting! His professionalism and upbeat personality was really essential in making our wedding memorable!

Barry was our DJ, MC, and pianist for our wedding reception. Prior to the big day, Barry was very professional and responsive to our requests. We both loved Barry's ability to read the crowd and keep everyone excited through the night. Barry was also able to blend our varying tastes in music and keep us on schedule. Barry was absolutely amazing! Not only is he an amazing pianist, but he really knows how to read the crowd and keep the party going! He is a true master of ceremonies and his attention to detail made all the difference. All of our guests had a great time and we received so many compliments about Barry that evening and for days after! Thank you, Barry, for truly making our ceremony and reception so special! You really took the stress out of the day (and the planning of our timeline) for us and we were able to sit back and enjoy. Our special day wouldn't have been the same without you!

Over the top! Barry was our DJ and so much more when we were married 2 weeks ago! He provided great input to the wedding and reception and is an amazing pianist and entertaining DJ. He played the keyboard during the ceremony and was first class. During the reception he played our favorite songs and adapted to our guests and kept everyone on the dance floor. From keeping everything flowing smoothly to great music, Barry is the one you want!

Barry was our DJ/MC at our wedding back in July of 2015. Man, what a find. He was amazing. Barry is a really nice guy, has been doing this a long time and really knows what he's doing. He was always readily available to answer any questions that we might of had. He has a great ability to "read" the crowd and get a feel for what everyone is ready to hear (music wise)...i.e., maybe the crowd looks a little tired so it's time to play a slower song to help people get their energy back. His piano playing is second to none. He is an AMAZING musician. We had him play piano during our cocktail hour and it was just fantastic. Not only was Barry our DJ he was also our MC. He was really great at keeping our reception on schedule. From the opening entrance, to getting everyone to sit down for dinner, to cake cutting, to dancing, etc... All in all, Barry is a GREAT DJ, Piano player, and MC. We looked at many other DJs and were very glad we went with him. I can not recommend Barry more. Seriously, if you're looking at DJs for your wedding, stop...Barry is the man for the job...focus on other things :-)

The most important aspect to a wedding/ reception is 100% the DJ. My husband and I were referred to Barry by several of our vendors. He blew us away when we met him at a bridal show in the mall. He is not just a DJ but also an amazing pianist. He made the ceremony so beautiful and personalized with the piano. He even memorized a song for our wedding. He planned out a minute to minute playlist based around the events of our wedding. He was so helpful with planning. Our crowd was mostly older so he came up with several ways to keep the party alive. The day went by perfectly!

We were referred to Barry Lamster by our reception venue (Calamigos Equestrian) and he was the best choice for us! Barry is a relaxed DJ who doesn't push songs on the audience and who listens to our myriad and quixotic music preferences. He paid attention to our wishes and followed through on everything. He worked with the music for our special entertainment (Irish dancers) and was a gracious host as well. We would use Barry Lamster again for any DJ needs and would heartily recommend him to anyone. Plus, he used to be a Nordstrom's pianist (!), and so his piano work during the cocktail hour and the dinner portion of our reception was amazing and beautiful. However, if you are the type of couple who wants a DJ who is young, slick, plays ONLY the most trendy music, and who has ego to spare, or if you want to work with a large DJ company that will just send out a random person to your wedding that you haven't ever met, Barry Lamster may not be for you. When you work with Barry Lamster, you work with only him, not anyone else. He is not perhaps the youngest or trendiest DJ out there, but he knows what good music is, including newer and older/classic songs, and his professionalism is invaluable.

Barry was a great DJ and his piano skills are amazing. He did well at reading the crowd and kept the party going all night long. Only cons: he played one song twice and didn't do our anniversary dance the way we wanted it.

He was excellent at playing paino and had great song selections for dancing.
