I've been into photography my whole life. I have shot 700 weddings in the last 16 years and still love photography. It's like an extreme sport for me, being challenged to get the best images in every lighting environment. I very much enjoy photographing people and their emotions. I enjoy the rush of the wedding day and have been told that I am fast at getting my shots, keeping everyone calm, and having fun.

helpful for little things , and not only did he take pictures but also came out to be a lifesaver had a few crucial moments for the bridal party. My only regret is that we did not get him for our engagement pictures- as we had already done the pictures with another photographer recommend by thrKnot - but Barry was miles and miles above and absolutely outstanding. He even tried a couple of interesting photography editing techniques to give us some pictures that I had really wanted from Pinterest.

the pictures turned out great! He was able to capture so much of our wedding that people that were unable to attend said they felt like they were at the wedding after looking through the picture. We also love that he gives you a CD with all of the pictures on it and you have the rights to the pictures. This is so helpful because we are able to make copies of the picture whenever we want. We would recommend Barry to anyone getting married. We are going to keep him in mind for any other times we may need a photographer.

ures of our dreams! In our meeting before the big day, he was very clear that this was MY (and my husband's) day and he'd try to accommodate anything I had in mind. I told him I didn't know, and he was able to give several ideas for photographs and locations around our wedding venues. He was VERY and genuinely attentive. He kept saying "This is the biggest day of your life, and I will make sure these pictures are an amazing reflection of your day." He was able to get the formal family shots done quickly and beautifully(which is no easy feat with my large, crazy family and wedding party). He also got some great action shots at the reception. In fact, he stayed so out of the way at the wedding and reception, I didn't know he was there until I saw the pictures! Barry was so much fun and easy to work with. The wedding party and my family loved him and we couldn't have asked for more from a photographer. I think I look better in the pictures than I do in real life...and I'm not photogenic!

nd a passion for getting the perfect shot (and not wasting any time getting it!). He also has lots of ideas for off-site spots to take outdoor photos before or after the ceremony. Barry took well over the allotted one hour for our engagement session, and we were thrilled with those photos. We had a blast working with him at the wedding. Barry was still cheerful and energetic at 8 p.m. when he went with the bride and groom to the MSU campus for some after-dark shots. We could tell he was having a great time with the challenge of shooting in difficult lighting conditions. One of his unique perks is a slide show of photos from the wedding that he shows on a TV during the reception. The only drawback with Barry is that he can sometimes be a bit hard to reach because he has a day job. We haven't seen our full portfolio and album from the wedding yet (it's about a 4-week turnaround, slower than some photographers), but we're looking forward to it! Meanwhile we keep watching the above-mentioned slide show because it is so beautiful.

as responsive, professional, timely and very very easy to work with. Like all weddings, ours had its bumps along the way, and Barry just dealt with everything with a great attitude. Everyone absolutely loved my engagement pictures and the preview of the wedding ones he showed at the reception. It was difficult for me to have to do so much research and still not be sure about whether I'm choosing the right vendor. Barry was definitely one of the few I got right!
