urse polite and helpful, but a genuinely awesome dude with good humor and enthusiasm in spades. My husband and I were prepared for a total slog when it came to finding the DJ for our reception. Our taste in music is described by the wedding industry as "eclectic" and by everyone else as "hipster", I guess. We're big on indie alt and folk punk and 80s punk, and couldn't tell you a single TOP 40 hit even if we tried. Not exactly easy to find a DJ who plays anything but radio pop or your wedding mainstay jams that you hear at every wedding. This was made apparent to us by the couple of DJ's we reached out to before finding Shawn and Bash Entertainment. After describing our taste in music and what we were looking for, two left us on read altogether, one said he had no interest in our music, and one was pleasant enough to tell us to go looking in dive bars. Reeeal nice! Everything changed once I reached out to Shawn. Right away, he wasn't just interested in our jams, but completely stoked on them! He shared his history with us a skater punk (just like my husband) and from there, we hit it off and it was apparent we had found not just our DJ for the big day, but a new friend. Shawn completely threw himself into making sure our wedding playlist was everything we wanted, while still providing some recognizable jams for our older family members. He listened to the bands we said we loved, he dove deep into the songs that mattered to us, the bands that have followed my husband and I through our whole relationship. This was made especially easy for us to share with him with the planning app Bash Entertainment uses on their website and downloadable app. This feature is so nifty! It's broken down into different playlists for you and your partner to add songs to- Must Play, Play If Possible, Play By Request Only, and the much appreciated Absolutely Do NOT Plays. It made us feel like we had a lot of control over what we'd be hearing at our wedding and when, and this combined with Shawn's attentiveness and collaboration made for a night of nonstop dancing and jams! Outside the music, I also have to gush about how cool the selfie mirror Bash offers is! I will say, it's a pretty penny depending on what your budget looks like- it was certainly a splurge on ours. For awhile, we weren't sure we could justify having it for the price. But Shawn is the best and was willing to negotiate a bit on the price since our venue handled all the music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. And after the fact, I am SO glad we went for it! This thing is AWESOME and your guests will have a blast dressing up with the silly props and signs. As an extra bonus, the married couple receive an album of the pictures the guests took, and digital copies too. It's amazing to see how much fun your guests have even when you're too busy to witness every moment on your big day, and it's become one of my greatest wedding day treasures. If you want to have the most fun wedding, if you want your guests to dance all night long, and experience the music that is most special to you and your partner, go for Shawn and his crew with Bash Entertainment. You will walk away with nothing but wonderful memories and knowing a super cool and kind new friend :)

Even when a tiny detail went awry (which is inevitable), Joe kept everything going calmly and overcame it. I highly recommend calling Bash for your wedding if you want keep your dance floor going strong up until close.

I have personally worked with Shawn over 200 times and find/found he is very professional, personable, and a down to earth guy as is the rest of his crew. You can't go wrong with this company; if something unfortunate is to happen, they will do everything in their power to correct it, even if it is something another vendor has done or mother nature herself. Do yourself a favor, stop looking and start booking!

psake. DJ Joe was great at keeping people on the dance floor, and also making sure we stayed on schedule with toasts, food, and so on. The lighting setup looked great, and the sound quality of the microphones was perfect.

nd he nailed it! Everything went smoothly from the ceremony music/speakers/microphone, to the reception introductions, to the speeches, and the banging music at the end of the night! He was not overly talkative as an MC during the night, which we appreciated! He was fun and you can tell that he sincerely loves what he does. He came in super early to set up and could make any space work! His website was super professional and I loved that we could plan every single minute of the night, AND we could sit back and let him take over and do what he wanted when we weren't sure what would be best. When we didn't have song ideas for a certain part of the day, he came prepared with a ton of suggestions. A good DJ can make or break your wedding, and Bash entertainment will not disappoint. We also booked the selfie mirror which was a HUGE hit. We added it on last minute and we are so glad we did. The pictures turned out GREAT and we loved that our guests could take home normal sized photos of the night and not the tiny strip that most photobooths offer. 10/10 WOULD BOOK AGAIN! :)

He knew exactly how to keep the dance floor pumped and packed, and did a fabulous job dealing with our timeline and working with our other vendors on the big day. Paired with the music planning portal and “Selfie Mirror,” working with this team was fun and easy. I would absolutely recommend DJ Shawn and Bash Entertainment for anyone looking for a great time at their event!

Donnie was great with our ceremony and the aisle music was switched from song to song right on key. The playlists for dinner and the dance floor were exactly what I wanted! I am happy that he took my requests and ran with it. Their wedding planning tool makes it so easy to make sure the music you want is and isn't played! Their online tool let us choose must play songs, and we had a meeting a few days before our wedding to go over everything. I felt that DJ Joe really took the time to learn about us as a couple to make sure he could personalize the songs and introductions for us. On the day of our wedding, DJ Joe was AWESOME. He was high energy, great at interacting with the guests, and kept people on the dance floor. We highly recommend Bash!

never want to forget and now I know I won't. The DJ helped with my timeline because I has no idea what to do and the night went so smooth and amazing, they knew exactly how to keep the party going! Would hire them again and again if I threw parties for a living! Thank you Bash!!!

Shawn nailed it. At the start of the dancing, he played enough to get everyone on the dance floor, and as the night got longer, he knew the mood would switch up and take everyone back to the 2000s homecoming dance. People were dancing nonstop. We also got the selfiie mirror, which was a huge hit, and the photos we got at the end of the night were hilarious and fun. Throughout the process, he would check in with us and then a week before the wedding, we got something in the mail from him. It was a wedding emergency kit, and it came in handy with so many useful items. We cannot recommend DJ Shawn enough for your event!
