Bashful Butler Catering

you can only use The Bashful Butler and will work through them throughout the entire process. Our idea of a perfect wedding was an indoor/ outdoor rustic property and we found just that at the Hurst Ranch. The property is well kept and offers a lot of unique options for photos, set-up, entertaining, etc. This review is meant to cover both The Hurst Ranch & The Bashful Butler. We hope this information helps future couples (or anyone working with either vendor) have a successful and memorable experience. Helpful notes and tips: Parking: A bit tricky considering there is none (well, only enough for 16 or so cars) but not a deal breaker. There is plenty of street parking available. Property: Well-kept and clean. We held our ceremony at a nearby church, so just reception at the Hurst Ranch. However, the property allows for both a ceremony and reception to be held in one location. Security: We had two officers onsite and were very professional, polite and attentive. Other reviews mention rude security, not the case with us. Food: Food tasting was 'ok' and day of food was much better, we were very pleased. Bartender/ Servers: No complaints at all. Staff was very polite, dressed well and overall very pleasant. Lights: indoor string lights are pretty and unique. Guests thought we had hired someone to install them. Worth mentioning, make sure they are working - all of them. All were working during our party but I made sure of this ahead of time. Ryan: Ryan works for the Bashful Butler and was our contact throughout the entire planning process. My only recommendation for working with Ryan (and perhaps any vendor) is to communicate via email and keep track of all correspondence. During our final meeting, Ryan became somewhat 'forgetful' about things we had previously discussed. Keep record of everything and you should be fine. Other than that, Ryan was very accommodating and answered emails on a timely manner. Harrison: Harrison also works for the Bashful Butler and was our day of onsite contact. Our day of coordinator worked with Harrison and she was very pleased. He was helpful and accommodating. We had rain right before our cocktail hour and Harrison was helpful during that stressful period + throughout the evening. Other: We rented bentwood chairs, up-lighting and green hedges to make indoor space feel warm and romantic. We hired a day of coordinator which resulted in the best decision ever. She made sure things ran extra smooth on day of! Venue is very affordable and allows budget conscious couples the opportunity to splurge elsewhere. To summarize, we would recommend this property but just stay organized and get all your questions answered early on. Never assume anything. We asked a lot of questions (about everything and anything) and as a result, were very pleased with our wedding.

We went with the BBQ tri-tip and BBQ chicken menu. We wanted sides from Woodranch BBQ as this is my husband's favorite and Ryan said it would be okay to have those items delivered. I've never heard of a catering company allowing you to bring in food that wasn't on their menu! Our family couldn't stop talking about the food especially their biscuits with honey butter and my husband loved their baked beans. Everything was delicious and everyone kept commenting that they couldn't wait to eat because they could smell the meat that was being BBQ'd on the premises. Every step of the way Ryan was there to guide us and always responded within hours if I had a question. He was also very helpful with the layout of the venue and made suggestions as to what would work or not. Ryan even let us use some wood barn doors that were on the premises of Hurst Ranch for our ceremony. I can't say enough good things about Bashful Butler. They went above and beyond to make my wedding beautiful, run smoothly, and a day that my family can't stop talking about!

food was really good and they accommodated all of our requests. The only problem I had was the lady who actually ran our even. The guy who we worked with setting it up, Ryan, was amazing and helped us a lot. But the lady who actually was there for the event was really rude and a little pushy. When things weren't set up properly and on time I complained and she got all defensive and this was a problem because this is my event not hers. There were other similar incidents like this throughout the event but other than that things went perfectly
