In short: Basin Harbor is the perfect wedding destination, with an exceptional events team who delivered the wedding weekend of our dreams.
We celebrated our wedding at Basin Harbor over Memorial Day Weekend, and calling it perfect feels like an understatement. With our wedding falling on a holiday weekend, we asked our guests to stay on-site for three nights. Our goal was to ensure everyone felt like they were not just attending a wedding, but enjoying a true vacation experience. Anne, Lauren, and the entire events team immediately embraced our vision and helped us bring it to life. The weekend kicked off with a movie night by the pool, followed by a round-robin pickleball tournament and a scenic sightseeing tour on Lake Champlain the next day. From there, we transitioned into a sunset cruise on The EScape, a flawless rehearsal dinner on The North Dock, and an incredible welcome party at the Burgee Bar. On our wedding day, both wedding parties were treated like royalty in our respective cottages, with lunch provided and every request seamlessly accommodated. The ceremony on the Lodge Lawn, overlooking the breathtaking Basin, was followed by dinner and dancing in Ardelia's. To end the night, we gathered around a campfire at the Red Mill for s'mores under the stars. A weekend with so many moving parts could have felt overwhelming, but we always felt supported and cared for by Anne, Lauren, and the entire team. No request was too big—even a last-minute change of ceremony location and a spontaneous addition of Aperol Spritzes during cocktail hour were handled with ease. Beyond that, an unexpected family emergency arose the week before the wedding, and Anne and her team worked seamlessly with our wedding planner, allowing us to focus on what mattered most. Their compassion and professionalism during such a delicate time meant the world to us. The planning process, spanning over a year, was equally seamless. Anne and her team maintained flawless communication, proactively checking in to keep us on track while expertly coordinating with external vendors, including our band and florist. From the moment we discovered Basin Harbor online, we had a gut feeling it was special. That feeling was solidified the moment we set foot on the property and experienced its natural beauty, endless activities, and warm, dedicated staff. We are forever grateful to the entire Basin Harbor family—the Beaches, Anne, Lauren, the waitstaff, bartenders, chefs, boat crew, housekeepers, and everyone else behind the scenes—for creating such a magical experience. We cannot wait to return to Basin Harbor, our favorite place, to continue making lifelong memories.
My husband and I were married at Basin Harbor this June (2024) and it was one of the best decisions we could have ever made. We lovingly refer to it as the 'best weekend of our lives' and all credit goes to the BH team. From the moment we reached out to the very last goodbye, Anne and Lauren and the entire Basin Harbor staff made us feel like we were family. We set out with a very clear vision in mind where we wanted to welcome all of our friends and family to one place for a truly magical weekend. Dare we say "dirty dancing" like. From the rehearsal dinner, to the welcome party on the North Dock, to all the wedding day events (including fireworks!), and an after party in the darling Red Mill, every detail was executed flawlessly. The team made sure the events ran smoothly and all details orchestrated in an effortless manner. This included making us feel comfortable about the rain plan in the event that we had to use it - something that was a huge relief. We had no shortage of requests for Anne whether it was espresso martinis circulating during cake cutting, to customizing the wine list, to helping managing out external vendors (including multiple rentals), to a post-wedding boat cruise in choppy water, the team went above and beyond to deliver everything we asked for. The best part about the weekend was that our guests were able to take advantage of all Basin Harbor had to offer. We heard during the course of the weekend and now over the last several months since the wedding that it was folks favorite wedding they had been to because the venue really allowed them to create special memories. No stone went unturned and the unique nature of Basin Harbor really shined. We couldn't be more happy that we pulled the trigger and picked Vermont. We can't wait to come back year after year to start our own Basin Harbor tradition.
Everything from start to finish was perfect! No stone unturned, the team at Basin Harbor executed everything in style, on time and met within our budget. We loved everything about our reception at ZbHC!
We knew Basin Harbor was a special place, but after hosting our wedding overlooking Lake Champlain, it is safe to safe the resort will continue to be a special place for our family for generations to come! The wedding coordinators (Anne & Lauren) were amazing, organized, responsive and personable throughout the planning process. The wedding planning team provided detailed google docs for every event, which was extremely helpful for us and touched on every thing and more we could have thought of ourselves. From simple decor, set up, tending to guests, ceremony line ups, noting our favorite drinks and more, they handled everything! The day of was a breeze thanks to them and the BHC team! The resort itself is such a unique experience for guests, a true adult summer camp. The best part was being able to walk/golf cart everywhere. The resort did an amazing job of accommodating our various events throughout the wedding weekend and allowed us flexibility with weather and personal touches. We held an outdoor ceremony at the Lodge Lawn, cocktail hour on the North Dock and tented reception on the Homestead Lawn. As the bride and groom we did not have to worry about a single detail on our special day, everything was planned out and handled by the BHC team. We can not say enough great things about BHC and how special this family run resort is to everyone that has the pleasure to visit. We look forward to spending many anniversaries at BHC!
After having a year and a half to process our wedding day, I am still feeling very disappointed. There are several ceremony spots at Basin Harbor. We were originally going to be married on the lodge lawn, but a few weeks before the wedding, we visited and the water was full of water lilies and algae, so we asked if we could have our ceremony switched to the wedding arch. This was approved and we were aware that there was a dinner happening on the North Dock, which you cannot see from the wedding arch, so we were fine with this. However, wedding day came. Right before our ceremony, a tent company was installing a tent directly next to our ceremony spot, on the Homestead Lawn. We were NOT aware of this. Therefore, during our ceremony, there was a giant construction site happening next to us. If we had known this, we would have stayed with our original plan or moved our ceremony to the orchard. Basin Harbor is such a beautiful venue, and so we thought we would be having our fairytale wedding. That was not the case. I cried when we received our wedding photos. This was a nightmare as this construction site was just feet away from our ceremony. We spent thousands of dollars on flowers for the wedding arch, and the beauty was diminished by the giant tarp on the lawn. See photos accompanied by this review.
Moving onto our dinner, which was in Ardelia’s. The steak was served rare and cold. Guests approached both my family and I (the bride) and were complaining about the steak. I was horrified. Luckily, after receiving several complaints about the food, approximately $1,200 was deducted off our final bill toward the food.
Unfortunately, the ceremony and food are key elements that guests remember, and our wedding was not at the top of their lists like I thought it’d be.
I would not recommend Basin Harbor for a wedding due to the lack of transparency that was given to us and the food. Once again, this was originally our dream venue, but turned out to be a disappointing experience. We wish we could have a wedding do-over.
10/10 Anne, Will, Lauren, Brian and the entire BHC team are true professionals. Their enthusiasm, support, guidance and follow through made our wedding a success. We are VERY particular and detail oriented, however Anne and her team definitely take the cake. From cleanliness of rooms to ensuring guests got places on time to the amount of sauce on a dish, BHC handled EVERYTHING. Anne’s experience and team management took all of the weight off and allowed our focus to be on our selves and our guests! Brian and his team made sure the venue was in tip top shape and continue to make improvements every day. Huge shoutout to Chef Chris and the pastry chef. BHC is a hidden gem and we feel beyond lucky to have been able to have our wedding there.
If you're looking for a waterfront wedding venue in Vermont, Basin Harbor is the go-to choice. Not only are accomodations clean and charming for wedding guests, but between the abundance of fun, summer activities on the Lake and the incredible food, guests will have plenty of ways to entertain themselves for a wedding weekend. We got married at Basin Harbor on June 25, 2022 and the whole weekend was incredible. From the Friday night welcome reception on the North Dock (complete with sunset boat cruises, a beach bbq, s'mores by the fire, live music and a floating green) guests were able to ease into the wedding weekend with a fun introduction to life on the lake. On the wedding day, our coordinator Lauren was super friendly, responsive and quick to check in on us to make sure things were going the way we planned. The food at Basin Harbor is incredible. Our guests have since commented saying it was the best wedding food they've had (including the house-made wedding cake). The grounds are incredibly well maintained and served as truly iconic, unique wedding venue. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend booking Basin Harbor to anyone hoping for a fun wedding environment on scenic Lake Champlain.
A most amazing venue for an "all inclusive" wedding, in October 2021. The location and the accommodations made us feel like we were in a movie. I have been planning and hosting events for 19+ years as President of the Wine & Food Society of Boston, and I am a stickler for details. Throughout the planning process we collaborated with Anne and the rest of the staff at Basin Harbor to create a magical experience for the Bride (my daughter), Groom, and all the guests. Planning the menu and particularly the wines, was an iterative process, and in the end, we had a world-class wedding reception, world-class cuisine, world-class wines, and world-class service. It was a three-day event, starting on Friday afternoon with a cocktail cruise for the wedding party, after the rehearsal. This was followed by an evening reception for the guests with an exceptional wine tasting station, and dinner at the North Dock area. It couldn’t have been more beautiful, with the sunsetting over the mountains on the west side of Lake Champlain, and ending around a beautiful campfire. On Saturday, due to weather, the resort made a call to seamlessly move the ceremony and the cocktail reception inside. The reception featured a Raw Bar with oysters, crab legs, and shrimp; passed HD’s, and a Vermont Artisan and Farmstead Cheese, Farm-to-Table Crudité & Charcuterie display. The dinner was fabulous. We previously spent a relaxing summer evening in July, at a private tasting dinner, selecting the HD and menu options, and tasting wines for menu pairings. We deigned a menu with Mixed Greens Salad, with Apple, Cranberry, Maple-Balsamic Dressing & Candied Walnut; Avocado & Corn Chowder, served with Freshly Baked Basin Harbor Rolls & Butter. Guests had entrée choices of Grilled Ribeye, with Cognac Sauce, a gluten free and vegan selection; Mushroom Bolognese, with Spaghetti Squash and Fried Basil, or Pan-Seared Sea Bass, all paired with six different world-class wines. The food was cooked perfectly and was served very warm. The food and wine service were “spot on”. After dinner, and dancing with the live band, the bride and groom had a “Sparkler Send Off” to the Red Mill Pub, for the after-party, featuring a DJ and a huge bonfire. We boogied until 1AM!! On Sunday we had a brunch for the wedding party and guests in a private dinning room, to say our goodbyes. We are looking forward to planning a non-wedding party at Basin Harbor next year! Our heartfelt thanks to Basin Harbor management and staff. You really made us feel that we are part of the Basin Harbor family.
Basin Harbor is a wonderful place, a gem in the Adirondacks. We were searching for a venue in New England for a June wedding and fell in love with Vermont. Anne, the head wedding coordinator, was so gracious and responsive through the entire process, including through postponing our wedding an entire year due to COVID. Anne and the entire BH staff made the process as stress-free as possible. And the was just the planning! The whole wedding weekend went off without a hitch. I seriously couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out and it was WORTH the wait. Having worked with this venue for over two years now, I can confidently recommend working with Basin Harbor for your event. I can't wait to go back!
Basin Harbor is the perfect Vermont wedding venue! All of our guests were blown away by the beauty of the property, the accommodations, the food, and the overall experience of being at Basin Harbor. Anne expertly guided us through the pain and uncertainty of wedding planning in 2020, and helped us have the perfect day in 2021. Every single moment and transition of our wedding day was seamless and smooth, allowing us to fully enjoy our day. I could not have asked for a better wedding experience!
Basin Harbor exceeded the highest of expectations for our wedding. Every detail was beautifully managed and the customer service of all staff to our families and guests was truly as friendly, helpful, and professional as it gets. I didn’t think perfect happened, Basin Harbor helped make our wedding perfect. The setting at Basin Harbor is also absolutely beautiful.
Basin Harbor was absolutely perfect for our wedding Labor Day weekend! We were looking for a place where our family and friends could stay on site and be together for the whole weekend, rather than just for a few hours for the wedding, and Basin Harbor exceeded our expectations. When we first toured the property with Anne we knew we had found our place! Anne and
Ellen were incredible throughout the whole planning process, very responsive and organized. They gave us detailed checklists covering every aspect of the wedding, to make sure no detailed went unnoticed. We had our rehearsal dinner on the North Dock followed by a Welcome Reception in the Ranger Room/pool deck. Our wedding ceremony was at the the wedding arch, cocktail hour by the Burgee Bar/Dock, and tented reception on the Homestead Lawn. We capped off the night with an incredible fireworks show and after party at the Red Mill with the biggest bonfire I’ve see. On Sunday we did a boat ride and dinner in the Terrace Room. We loved driving around our golf cart and seeing the resort filled with all our family and friends, and loved hearing our guests excitedly tell us how awesome their Lakeside cottage is. We had no kids at the wedding (other than ring bearer/flower girls), but many brought their kids to enjoy the amenities the rest of the weekend, some even extended their stay and made a vacation out of it. Everything was very well done, you can customize anything, from the menus to wine to locations, and the food was delicious (I highly recommend going to one of the grand tastings). Our guests are still talking about our wedding and some say it’s the best one they’ve been to! Basin Harbor will not disappoint!
Ellen, Anne & the Basin Harbor team were the best! Planning a wedding from Philadelphia was a challenge, but they were so responsive to every question we had leading up to the day that planning was a breeze!
The wedding day couldn't have gone better- the weather was beautiful, the staff was so friendly. Ellen was our day of coordinator and made sure the day went by without a hitch. The staff even took notice of the drinks that our guests were most frequently ordering and started bringing them around on serving trays! Just one of the many little details that made it such a great experience.
All of our guests said it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had been to. Having everyone stay at Basin Harbor for the long weekend was amazing because we were able to see and visit with all of our guests throughout the weekend and didn't feel rushed to say hi to everyone at the reception.
Would 100% recommend Basin Harbor to anyone! We can't wait to go back to celebrate our 1yr anniversary!
We loved our wedding weekend and the planning process with Anne, Ellen and their team went very smoothly. Basin Harbor is a gorgeous venue. We had perfect weather thankfully and enjoyed the weekend - we would do it all over again if we could! We had a rehearsal dinner on the north dock and wedding at the lodge lawn overlooking Lake Champlain with our reception in the Ranger Room. It all went very smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. All of our guests raved about the venue, the food and what a great time they had! The food was delicious, we selected the NY Strip Steak and the Parmesan Chicken. We especially loved that most of our guests could stay on-site. One piece of advice is make sure to ask lots of questions and follow up on details with the team there. Also Basin Harbor as a venue will charge for everything - not sure if this is typical of all venues but for instance we had to pay to use their arbor for the ceremony, just to be aware that will happen. Overall we had a fantastic time and recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful location and a venue that is almost all-inclusive. Anne and Ellen were great at organizing and coordinating our weekend!
You will not find a more fun place to get married and a better team to help you make it happen. Basin Harbor is an absolute dream of a venue - where all of your guests can stay onsite all weekend. There are so many fun activities on the menu - from boating to yoga to pub trivia to field day games (we did it all), Basin Harbor accommodated every single one of our summer camp wedding dreams. Anne and Ellen were so amazing to work with throughout the wedding planning process. They are so thoughtful, professional, organized, and accommodating and always available to help. They executed everything absolutely perfectly, and I didn't have to worry about a thing during my entire wedding weekend. The food was amazing, the drinks were flowing, and the flow from event to event was flawless. We couldn't have been happier that we chose this venue and were able to work with this great team -- and are so jealous of anyone who gets to plan a great party here... we wish we could do it all over again!
The Basin Harbor is unique in that they can handle almost all aspects of your wedding in-house (thanks to Anne, Ellen and their incredible team) which in this day and age is a rare gem and a life saver for couples who may not be able to dedicate all of their time to planning their big day. In addition to being able to have your welcome party, ceremony, reception, after party and day-after brunch all in once place, the Basin Harbor can host all of your guests on-site in accommodations varying in size and price, which allows them to relax and enjoy a game of golf on their course, swim/sail/kayak in Lake Champlain, hike/bike their trails, or swim in their pool (which is a rare perk that our guests still talk about to this day). From the day we connected with Anne to moments before I walked down the aisle, they worked with my husband and I on every minute detail while offering unique ideas to personalize certain elements (a post-ceremony harbor cruise in a chris craft boat, a sparkler send off, a bonfire and food truck afterparty, etc). As we worked together throughout the year, I felt like I could rely on them to make sure that everything was taken care of and I walked away from all of our conversations feeling a sense of excitement and pride in what we'd created. You can tell that they really feel passionate about their work and thoroughly enjoy creating unforgettable weddings and events. I honestly cannot imagine an easier and more enjoyable way to plan a wedding. They've built relationships with the best local vendors and host intimate meet-and-greets which makes choosing vendors (photographer, band, florist, etc.) a breeze. Our wedding weekend exceeded all expectations we ever imagined because we were able to live in the moment and enjoy ourselves. We wouldn't have been able to have that without the level of detail and incredible hospitality that the Basin Harbor offers. I cannot wait to celebrate our anniversary each year and walk around the property thinking back to the best day of my life.
Where do we even begin?! Basin Harbor was hands down the best venue we could have picked to have our wedding weekend! Ellen and Anne went above and beyond to make sure that everything was set and organized for our full weekend of wedding events. The Basin Harbor wedding team is organized, professional, and prompt. We felt completely at ease the day of our wedding knowing that Anne and Ellen were taking care of everything. We really were able to enjoy our wedding day and “be present”! The wedding team worked with us to make sure that we were able to have outdoor events the day before our wedding when they saw that there was a potential threat for rainy conditions on our actual wedding day. They even made our cocktail hour event on our wedding day outdoor/indoor to ensure that no matter what conditions we encountered, the event would be seamless! The entire staff at Basin Harbor makes sure that the wedding couple and their guests feel welcomed and special. We feel so lucky to have had hosted our wedding there and we, along with many of our guests, will be making a yearly tradition to come back and disconnect at this beautiful property. We cannot recommend Basin Harbor enough!
Basin Harbor created our dream wedding weekend, from arrival on Thursday night to driving away on Sunday after brunch. Every aspect of the weekend was perfectly planned out and left the bride & groom with nothing to worry about. I texted Matt about getting a floor length mirror in the cottage where the bridal party was getting ready (down about 20 steps on the waterfront) and within 5 minutes, two gentlemen arrived with a beautiful mirror and set it up for us in the common area. It was little gestures such as this one that makes Basin Harbor different from other venues. Anne was an absolute pleasure to work with--always approachable, available and very detail oriented (something all brides can appreciate!) We had our dream wedding and are so appreciative for all the efforts of the staff at BHC!
Basin Harbor exceeded our expectations from the moment we met with Anne, the fantastic special events director, one year prior to our wedding. To start, the venue is absolutely incredible -- the lakeside views, cottages, athletic amenities, and dining spaces are perfect for a wedding weekend, especially if you want your guests to all stay onsite. BH offers a slew of indoor and outdoor options for your ceremony, reception, and any other flanking events, as well as reasonable rain backup plans. The event staff has exquisite attention to detail, and they are very flexible if you have particular requests - there are so many ways to customize your wedding weekend at BH, just ask. We hosted a Thursday night family dinner on the dock, a lake cruise, a Friday night lobster bake dinner in Ardelia's, an outdoor yoga class and rugby game on our wedding day, ceremony at the wedding arch, wedding reception under a tent in the Homestead Lawn, after party and bonfire at the Red Mill - I would highly recommend any of these sites. The food is delicious -- we and our guests were wowed by the lobster and steak, to name a few. We were extremely happy with our planning process and, ultimately, our wedding weekend. Our guests continue to rave about the venue and all the fun activities and details made possible by the BH team. We enthusiastically recommend working with Basin Harbor (and Anne, events director) - we loved our experience!
Having our wedding at Basin Harbor was a dream come true. I have been going there since I was little and always knew I'd want to get married there. We were so lucky to get the last available date of the summer!
Obviously wedding planning can be a little overwhelming, but Basin Harbor staff was super helpful. They had checklists to fill out that covered everything you needed to think about for your wedding day and when the actual wedding weekend rolled around, they executed everything perfectly. The staff was very accommodating and friendly as well!
We truly hosted an entire wedding weekend, including a welcome reception, wedding ceremony, wedding reception, after party, and brunch. It was so convenient to host everything in one location (not to mention safe). The majority of our guests stayed on-site as well and there were plenty of activities for everyone to participate in during wedding weekend down-time.
We got so many compliments from our guests, many saying it was the best wedding they’d ever been to and so much of that was due to Basin Harbor. It was so fun to show off this little lakeside Vermont gem to all our friends and family! I would do it all over again in a second.
We had the absolute best wedding weekend at Basin Harbor. Anne and Dawn worked with us to make every detail just as we imagined - and were super hands on from start to finish.
We were able to create a unique experience that you can't find at most venues. Kicking off with a cocktail cruise, having a rehearsal dinner right over the water and concluding with our reception on the lawn with the sun setting right over Lake Champlain. You can't beat the natural beauty at BHC.
And our guests were blown away by a venue that was capable of having everything on site. The morning of the wedding a few even dipped in the water. Most felt like it was a mini vacation for their families.
Their events team is very transparent, easy to work with and made the wedding of our dreams come true!
The Basin Harbor Club is an extremely beautiful property and the staff is amazing. We had people coming in from all over the world and within the country and to have everyone stay on the property for the weekend was really special. I highly recommend doing all of your events right on site so people can relax on the property together around wedding events. Anne and Chris were amazing at working through all our questions and requests. I was especially impressed with them the weekend of our wedding - they were always available and kept us on track. The entire staff went out of their way to make sure all 180 of our guests were comfortable.
Several times after our wedding had concluded, we agreed that we had never thought it might go as well as it did. Except for the truly amazing weather (for which we only half-jokingly accredit our past donations to the Nature Conservancy), much of the exquisite coordination was thanks to the Basin Harbor team. Starting almost a year in advance, the staff--and particularly Anne and Chris--were both alert to decisions, deadlines, and pitfalls that we would never have anticipated and incredibly responsive to all of our many inquiries and requests.
On the day of the wedding, both Anne and Chris made us feel completely at ease, and had every detail under control. Despite being there with 165 of our family and friends, both my husband and I were able to truly relax and enjoy the moment. We received innumerable comments from guests about how lovely the accommodations were and how extraordinary the wedding day was.
In short, the setting was sublime, the food was delicious, our guests consumed awe-inspiring amounts of rosé, and it was truthfully the most fun either of us have ever had at a wedding (as one might hope). It was wonderful having almost all of the events in one place, and our biggest concern--that the 10pm "quiet hours" might hamper our festivities--was rendered completely moot by the excellent after-party at Red Mill, only steps down the drive. We are eternally grateful to the BH team and cannot recommend them strongly enough.
Basin Harbor was an incredible venue for our wedding not just because of the beauty and simplicity of the all-in-one experience, but because of the staff as well. Everyone was so accommodating and their attention to detail and can-do attitude allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams. We cannot recommend Basin Harbor strongly enough. Thank you Anne, Matt, and Chris for everything!!
While it is a beautiful property, the planning process was extremely stressful, and the staff was borderline incompetent. Some of our reservations were lost despite my written request months ahead. Every email I sent to Ann the "planner" over the off season was returned by an out of office reply, which made planning difficult given our wedding was in early June, a few weeks after they opened. They weren't able to put together a final contract until a few days before the wedding. I was bombarded with emails and calls at the last minute. Over the weekend my grandparent's cottage had no hot water. We did thankfully have good weather and a lovely wedding, however given the many beautiful wedding venues in Vermont I would not recommend Basin Harbor.
The location, the activities, the amenities... we could not have been happier with our experience at Basin Harbor Club. Our 80 guests of all ages had a blast every day (rain or shine) because of the array of summertime entertainment opportunities. Our four-day, three-night wedding weekend with an event every evening each unfolded perfectly, and Anne Henderson and Dawn Wagner (our event and staff coordinators) were a pleasure to work with - true professionals at their craft of party management - having ALL of the details worked out in advance so we as bride and groom could relax completely into the fun. Compared to the cost of other venues and the complexities of working with vendors of every sort, we loved working with Basin Harbor Club because they truly offer it all.
The site was phenomenal. During the weekend, their assistance was great, but unfortunately we felt as if they could've provided more assistance during the year and a half of planning the wedding.
We held our entire weekend at Basin Harbor (rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, after party, post wedding brunch) and it was INCREDIBLE. We encouraged all of our guests to stay on the property and make use of all the amazing activities that BHC provides. The weather cooperated and our guests went water skiing, hung out on the beach, jumped on the trampoline, relaxed in lawn chairs, played golf and tennis, and just enjoyed the gorgeous setting.
The onsite wedding coordinator was a gift from heaven. She helped us so much and was the reason we had so much fun at our own wedding. Every single staff member at BHC went above and beyond for us and all of our guests. I cannot say enough about BHC and all the amazing people that work there. From the wonderful team at the front desk to the awesome people that ferried us around the property on golf carts, and to the dining room staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. Our family and friends are still raving about how much fun they had at our wedding and we really owe it all to BHC. We can't wait to go back for our 1 year anniversary and many more after that!! Thank you BHC!
We had our rehearsal dinner at the restaurant on-site at Basin Harbor Club, the Red Mill Restaurant. I highly recommend Red Mill as a rehearsal dinner site! They provided us with a private room with the perfect amount of space and ambience (between "laidback/informal" and "formal") and a delicious menu selection (the pork chops were incredible!). Anne (the contact at Basin Harbor Club) was excellent and attending to and responding to our needs.
Additionally, Red Mill Restaurant (during the summer through September, I believe) clears out the main dining area after the dinner hour on Friday nights, and a DJ plays music, converting the restaurant/bar area into a great dance party! This ended up being a hit with our after-rehearsal dinner arrivals. After the dinner, people were able to walk out of the private room into the main area, where the DJ and dance party were happening. It was the perfect launch to our wedding weekend!
We used the florist from Basin Harbor Club by the name of Claire Lesperance. She was so easy to work with and did an absolutely beautiful job. We were working within somewhat of a budget and she was able to listen to our ideas and make appropriate suggestions. Our flowers turned out simply beautiful! I highly recommend using her as your florist if you are planning a wedding at Basin Harbor or in the area, as she works on her own as well!
