We had such a great experience with Bass Hall. Haven and Justin were fully transparent, agreeable, an easy to work with. Not to mention fun people! The venue is so beautiful it hardly needs any decor. My husband and I had our first date here and were able to have our first look on the stage and sit in the seats we sat in on our first date. We had our ceremony on the staircase and our reception on the mezzanine balcony. The staff and volunteers were so professional and kind. I can’t recommend Bass Hall enough.
We held our reception in the Grand Lobby and it was exactly how I pictured it would be! Absolutely gorgeous and a fun layout to plan with since the space is so unique as opposed to a traditional ball room. Our guests were blown away by the breathtaking interior.
Haven and Justin helped us plan in advance to find the right fit for our vision. They were both accommodating, gave good input, and listened to our ideas. I loved working with them!
The staff on the day of was friendly and helped our guests navigate the space. The set up was perfect and couldn't have been done any better.
I took my bridal portraits here and they turned out amazing. The windows have excellent light and the tall ceilings add an elegant touch.
If you are thinking about having your wedding (ceremony and/or reception) here, I highly recommend it! It truly is a unique space, with friendly staff, and beautiful picture opportunities.

My now husband and I had our wedding at the Maddox Muse Center which is part of the Bass Hall in downtown Fort Worth. Our ceremony was in the Van Cliburn Recital Hall and our reception was in the McDavid Studio. The location and space were great overall. Guests enjoyed not having to leave after the ceremony to go to the reception and the space was actually quite large to accommodate our 200 guests. The cons I have are that you can't put anything on the walls and you can't use open flame candles that are not enclosed. The venue also did not seem to communicate with the Bass Hall regarding being able to take photos across the street which was part of our contract and package. My husband and I were able to get in and take photos for 15 minutes or so but we really had to push for them to let us in at the Bass Hall. I am not sure what happened there.
I just had my wedding here at in the McDavid and Van Cliburn room this past weekend. I worked with Haven the past 9 months and she was wonderful. She is very responsive to your emails and tries to go above and beyond to help you out. All of the staff that I worked with were very helpful. I have no complaints about this venue and would choose it again if I did it all over again!!
The Bass Performance Hall was the perfect venue for our wedding. We had our ceremony in the Van Cliburn Recital Hall (downstairs) and our reception was in the McDavid Studio (upstairs). The staff helped us decorate, they gave us 2 ushers to help with anything that we needed. The bridal party got their own locker room, the bridesmaids got their own and the groomsman got their own. It was the most beautiful thing that i have ever seen and I would recommend it to everyone!! Close to hotels and bars in Fort Worth was also a plus.
Beautiful venue and the staff did a great job. Friendly and helpful.
From the location to the amazing planner, Theresa Ireland, everything at Bass Hall was absolutely perfect! I could not have picked a better location for our wedding! Theresa and the staff helped me so much! She was in constant contact with me and reassured me countless times that everything would be perfect and it was!!!! I could not have picked a better place! Thank you so much Theresa for everything you did!
Our reception was in the Van Cliburn Recital Hall, and it was the perfect choice. When you first walk in, it definitely provided a wow factor for all of our guests. We had around 130 guests, and we had plenty of room for everything including an enormous dance floor that was used all night! The customer service at the Bass Hall is great, and they are extremely helpful. Even my other vendors raved about the Bass Hall when I told them where we'd booked the reception. I'd recommend this venue to anyone.
Everyone we worked with was awesome!! We used the van cliburn hall and everyone absolutely loved it!! Exactly what we wanted and went on without a hitch!!
We chose Bass Hall because of its significance to Fort Worth and it's beautiful architecture. It was the perfect size and had lots of great architectural details so we didn't have to do too much additional decorating.
It had lovely art work.
The Maddox-Muse Center is a rehersal hall for the neighboring Bass Performance Hall performers. It has amazing art deco accecnts to its modern architecture. The is a lovely balcony overlooking the lobby that was perfect for cocktails and passed hors d'ouevres before the actual dinner reception begain. The Van Cliburn room has hardwood floors thoughout which was economical since we didn't have to worry about renting a dance floor. Being a symphony rehersal room the acoustics were amazing and helpful for the DJ. The colomns that line the room light beautifully with uplighting. Another plus is the prep kitchen off the back of the rehearsal room. This was very convenient for the caterer. The architecture of the Van Cliburn room and the lobby of the Maddox-Muse center was minimalist yet very memorable that much decoration is not required making it very versitile for the eccentric and the conventional alike.;If you are really into detail the restrooms are extremely industrial and look like you are on a submarine. There are two reception rooms at the Maddox-Muse center The Van Cliburn room and the McDavid Studio. Another wedding can be scheduled at the same time as your reception in the other reception room. There are only two restrooms for you and your guests therefore they section off part of the lobby with pipe and drape to keep the other party out of your reception. Pipe and black drape can be an eyesore.
