My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend Bassett Flowers! Susan at Bassett Flowers was patient as my wife and I, flower novices, explained our vision for the wedding and wedding party. She displayed her expertise, showing us flower options that complimented the decor palette, bridal party attire, and the season. The resulting bouquet featured warm fall tones with small but vibrant pops of midnight blue, which was mimicked in the boutonnières and corsages. We cannot say enough good things about our experience Bassett Flowers!

We had high-low flowers for the table, and in addition to being very reasonably priced, they were beautiful! We received many compliments, especially from folks delighted they could see and talk to those seated directly across from them. Our flowers were perfect! Brooks listened to every word we said and took our vision and improved upon it with his talent, knowledge and passion. Sarah helped set up with Brooks and everything was gorgeous! We received so many compliments on the flowers not just on the tables, but on our welcome sign, in the bridal party's hair and all the boutonnieres and bouquets. We used Bassett Flowers for our wedding at the new york country club. Brooks and his staff were AMAZING!!! We had some special circumstances and requests, and wanted to make sure to incorporate personal touches to our bouquets and chuppah. Brooks far exceeded our expectations. Our centerpieces completed the look of the whole ballroom, and 3 months later people are still talking about them. He was so on top of every request, down to flowers on the invitation table and cake. I could have not been more happier with my wedding flowers and centerpieces. Brooks went above and beyond to make my Halloween/Goth style wedding dreams come true. My bouquet as well as my bridesmaids bouquets were gorgeous. My reception centerpieces and candelabras were absolutely stunning. Oh and let's not forget the amazing cascade of black magic Rose's on my wedding cake. The black magic roses were so beautiful. I received so many complaints on the flowers. I worked with Brooks for wedding this past September (9/8/18) and it was truly one of the best vendor experiences I had throughout the whole planning process! He is not only friendly and professional but he really is a mind reader! I gave him general ideas about the look that I really wanted and he put together the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen at a wedding. I actually cried when I saw my bouquet and the bridesmaids flowers and the amazing center pieces and arch Brooks created. He captured the whimsical, boho vibe I wanted - from the expert use of lots of greenery to the flowy ribbons tied to all the bouquets - he truly made my day come together! I had the hard task of trying to plan a wedding in NJ all the way from London and Brooks and his team made the planning effortless. He really listened to the things I liked and disliked, and on the day, I couldn't believe just how GORGEOUS the flowers turned out. The flowers incorporated the loveliest colors of roses, one of them so rare that a retired florist at the wedding said he had never even seen a rose that color! Brooks is absolutely fantastic and so friendly, but also incredibly professional. I can't recommend him enough!

Bassett Flowers and Brooks Allen our designer did an amazing job creating gorgeous florals for my daughters wedding! We loved every bouquet, centerpiece and decor piece Brooks designed. He got our vision and executed it perfectly. It was such an enjoyable easy experience. Most notable, all the flowers smelled amazing! Secondly, Bassett Flowers is very reasonably priced. From the minute I spoke to Brooks on the phone I knew Bassett was my wedding florist, and meeting him solidified that decision. I had a general idea of what I wanted for my August wedding and from that he made ..perfection! We were planning our wedding from a distance, and Bassett Flowers came highly recommended by our venue. Brooks was incredibly easy to work with over the phone and understood what we preferred from the provided photographs and emails. The day of the wedding, the flowers were delivered in a timely manner to our hotel for the wedding party and the centerpieces to the reception venue. Let me start by saying that Brooks is amazing. When I first went to Bassett to discuss floral arrangements for my wedding, I was working with a different florist. She left the company and I feel like it was fate that I got to work with Brooks! I was a bit worried at first because I had already gone over all of the details with my initial florist, but when I went and met Brooks for the first time, I left feeling 500% confident that he understood my vision and would make it come to life on my wedding day. He did that and MORE. Not only is Brooks so fun and easy to work with, but he sure knows what he is doing. He made some awesome suggestions without ever feeling pushy, listened to what I wanted, and made everything look absolutely beautiful. We were married under a chuppah which was provided by Basset, and Brooks transformed it into a floral masterpiece. It was seriously more than I ever could have imagined. That, along with the center pieces & bouquets were simply gorgeous. Brooks also created a beautiful arrangement for our sweetheart table and an arrangement of fresh flowers on our wedding cake and welcome sign. To me, flowers at a wedding are everything, and Brooks knocked it out of the park.

This review is long overdue and beyond well deserved! Brooks and the rest of the wonderful staff at Bassett made every step of the planning process easy and super fun!! As soon as we walked into the shop we were greeted with a warm hug and a huge smile! It honestly felt like we were sitting around the kitchen table choosing our arrangements with a friend we’d known forever. We came prepared with a vision and a packet of example bouquets, boutonnières and centerpieces - and Brooks brought them to life and gave us exactly what we were hoping for! Bassett effortlessly handled our additional request for flowers for an arbor that we added to the ceremony shortly before our big day, and also perfectly placed flowers on our wedding cake which gave our ceremony and reception the extra little touches that we loved. Not only did he make us feel incredibly special throughout the planning process, but when we arrived to our final sit down meeting before the wedding with my mother whose 60th birthday was the next day - Brooks went out of his way to make her feel special too, running to the back of the store and putting together a simple bouquet to make her day! It was this gesture along with all of the other ways that Bassett helped to make our planning more fun and incredibly easy that make us beyond certain that you won’t regret choosing them for your big day! Brooks was amazing to work with! I told him I didn't want any high center pieces and I wanted everything to be simple, clean and elegant, all the way down to the bridesmaid's bouquets. He understood my vision immediately. I was under a budget and made everything work. Our venue ended up doing renovations a few months before the wedding and I had to change the theme a little; which again, understood exactly what I wanted and what I needed. Brooks made my dream a reality. I couldn't believe how the center pieces looked - everything was stunning and gorgeous. I cannot thank him and his team enough for all of his hard work! I recommend Bassett Flowers to anyone who is looking for their wedding!

We used Bassett Flowers for our wedding on October 7, 2017. To say Bassett Florists is amazing is an understatement! Brooks (owner) and Angela (designer) really are creative and offered excellent ideas and designs to make our decisions simple and easy. They helped us easily choose the bride’s bouquet, corsages and boutonnieres, the chuppah, the sweetheart table and guest table centerpieces. I gave them basic color choices and Angela came up with gorgeous flowers and designs. All were truly beautiful and hit the mark! Every flower was so fresh looking that each appeared to be cut that day. Everything we were promised, Bassett delivered and their prices were fair and very competitive. We strongly recommend them for your wedding you won't be disappointed!

After seeing Bassett's work at other occasions, I knew they were the florist for us. Brooks was the absolute best! He was sincere, funny, and willing to do anything to make my vision come to life. He offered many suggestions and made several samples to make sure everything was to my liking. They were on time with delivery and prepared for anything. The flower combinations (bouquets and centerpieces) were perfect, fit the theme, and complimented each other beautifully. Not only did they do an amazing job with all wedding flowers but they also put together amazing original centerpieces for my bridal shower. Using pots, mixers, pitchers, and strainers, they made a "tasty" display of flowers that were truly a statement piece. I will be sure to use Basset for future events and will continue to recommend them to anyone in need of flowers and memories.

Brooks is INCREDIBLE. Bassett was the first, and only, florist we met with for our wedding flowers. From the moment we met Brooks, we knew that he was going to do an incredible job with our flowers for the day of our wedding- and he did not disappoint!! I showed him a picture of my dress, told him the color palette I had in mind, and a couple of types of flowers I liked, and he handled the rest. It was like he could see my vision. Leading up to the wedding, Brooks was available to answer any and all questions we had, and was always upbeat and a pleasure to work with. When I opened the box with my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets, I actually teared up- they were absolutely beautiful! The colors complemented the bridesmaids dresses perfectly, and my bouquet was stunning. It didn't stop with the bouquets either- everything was perfect down to the petals that the flower girls threw. The floral arrangements for the ceremony were gorgeous, our centerpieces were everything we wanted and more, and the flowers on our cake tied everything together. I was so happy with all of the flowers at my wedding - from my bouquet, to the bridesmaids, to the centerpieces. My bouquet was breath taking and do were the custom made crossed hockey sticks boutonnieres for the guys. The arrangements that Brooks put together were spectacular.

I cannot express how beautiful my flowers were for my wedding. Truthfully, my bouquet is still in a vase because even though it has been over a week since my wedding and the flowers (although lasting a long time) are no longer suitable for display, I cannot bear to throw them out. Brooks exceeded our expectations in all areas; however, this was especially true for the ceremony flowers. I just asked for two arrangements that could be brought in afterwards to decorate the reception space (to save money) and what we ended up getting was breathtaking. Brooks was easy to work with and was very flexible. His artistic talents are clearly evident.

From the bridesmaids' bouquets to the centerpieces to the chuppah, everything Angela put together was fantastic. Brooks was fabulous to work with. He helped us create a beautiful design within our budget. Brooks goes above and beyond to add the little touches to make the designs come together perfectly. All of the flowers came out gorgeous - adding color in a classy and stylish manner. We had the best expierence at bassets! Brooks was absolutely amazing to work with. He listened to everything that we asked for and was available when we needed him. I asked for peonys to be worked in somewhere because it was 1 of my grandmothers favorite flowers and he worked them into my bouquet! It was so special that I was able to hold them in my bouquet. We chose Bassett after meeting with Angela and watching her put together a few flowers as we talked... She was able to create the most beautiful arrangements while working within our budget. The bridesmaids were gushing over their bouquets when it came to our wedding day and, obviously, I loved mine and theirs. When looking at pictures, so many people commented on the colors and the flowers. In fact, when we returned from our honeymoon about a week later, the centerpiece and bridesmaid bouquet we had were still kickin'! I was obsessed with our flowers. I too loved Brooks from the first time I met him. He is incredibly friendly and warm, has great energy, and he really has your happiness at heart. He also comes up with awesome, creative ideas. I wasn't able to come see samples in advance since I live out of town, so when I came the day before my wedding all the bouquets had already been made, and they were beautiful, but he worked hard to make last-minute changes to all of them until they were 100% as I had envisioned. I could not have been any happier with them on my wedding day! They were absolutely perfect. My chuppah was gorgeous as well, and he worked within our budget. I just got married yesterday, but before I can even pack for my honeymoon I had to write this review because the flowers at my wedding were even more spectacular than I could have ever dreamed of. I have told and will continue to tell any future bride that working with Brooks Allen is the best decision they can make. First of all, he has an incredible personality and puts you immediately at ease. He goes above and beyond to work with your style, personality, and vision. I knew that I wanted sunflowers and I wanted my colors to be vibrant, sunny, and happy. He went out of his way to show me how the flowers would look using real flowers, rather than pictures. We discussed how we could set up for the ceremony and he placed sunflowers along the chairs of the aisle and he placed coral rose petals lining the aisle as well. On my wedding day when I opened up the bouquets, they were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. The centerpieces were spectacular, everyone commented on their beauty! The ceremony he set up was breathtaking as well. The photographer told me that she had never seen such beautiful arrangements!! I truly could not have been more happy with Brooks!! He is an incredibly talented artist and I recommend him 110%!!!!!

Brooks at Bassett Flowers was an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end. From the first meeting, we felt completely at ease with him. I'm one of those people that has very clear ideas of what they want but isn't always able to describe it very precisely - a "know it when I see it" type - and Brooks was very patient in figuring out exactly what we were hoping for and bringing it to life. Our centerpieces were gorgeous, and all of my girls and I loved our bouquets. He added in a bunch of little extras and special touches that really pushed everything over the top, like a few peonies that I loved but weren't in budget to include everywhere, and extra boutonnières for the groom and best man in case the first ones wilted. Also something that really impressed us is that he never tried to up-sell us on arrangements or add-ons we didn't need - our venue was outdoors and stunning to begin with, and Brooks was wonderful about creating arrangements that complimented the natural beauty instead of trying to compete with it. The few hours before the ceremony are a bit of a blur and I unfortunately don't remember the name of the woman who was at the venue to set up and make sure everything stayed fresh and pretty, but she was very sweet and helpful, and everything looked fabulous even on a very warm and sunny day. I got married on June 21st 2014 and Bassett Flowers was one of my favorite vendors. Brooks was wonderful to work with and made my wedding day so special. I am a very simple girl who really does not care/like flowers that much. My wedding colors were gray and navy blue so he helped me with deciding on white roses and white hydrangeas for the bouquets and centerpieces. They looked so elegant and clean. He incorporated the dress colors into the ribbon on the bouquets and it looked wonderful. Every time I met with Brooks I felt comfortable and he is just a great guy in general so it was wonderful getting to know him. My mom and sister also enjoyed meeting with him and thought he was spectacular as well. The woman who delivered the flowers to my house was also wonderful. I changed my mind three times on where I wanted my grandmother's flowers to go and she was happy to make the changes for me. I highly recommend Bassett Flowers and be sure to request Brooks!! I first met Brooks when my now sister-in-law used him as her florist for her wedding in 2011. We all LOVED him - he was so much fun, and the flowers were so beautiful. I still have my bridesmaid bouquet from that wedding. So I lucked out when my venue offered Bassett Flowers as one of two suggested options. I went with Brooks right away and my in-laws were so excited. When we first met to talk about our wedding I had no idea what I wanted for flowers. Brooks worked with me over the months and helped me find the right colors and arrangements to fit the wedding. He was so helpful. The flowers were beautiful - Brooks just knew what would be perfect for the wedding. I'm glad my photographer got so many photos of them. I only wish we'd have gotten to see Brooks on our wedding day - but he was busy at the venue. I would definitely recommend Bassett Flowers.

Brooks was absolutely amazing to work with! We knew we wanted our wedding to be colorful but didn't have any specific requests for flowers. My husband and I told Brooks to do whatever he wanted. He took his ideas and made our day absolutely beautiful. He's so creative and came up with amazing arrangements. We could never have imagined such a stunning display. Our guests couldn't stop talking about our flowers. In addition to his talent, he is such a pleasure to work with and he's easy to get in contact with (even on the day of our wedding, he made a last minute scramble to address something we forgot about during the planning process). I can't say enough great things about my experience working with Brooks and Bassett Flowers. I walked into our initial meeting with only one idea for my centerpieces and Brooks took the time to figure out what I liked, and what I didn't like. He worked within my budget and offered up great suggestions on how I could capture the looks I was going for without breaking the bank! When the flowers were delivered the morning of my wedding I was speechless, the floral arrangements were gorgeous and Brooks totally captured exactly what I was going for. Brooks was a pleasure to work with and was always there when I had a question or concern. I can say with confidence that deciding to work with Brooks and Bassett Flowers was the best and easiest decision I made!

Brooks of Bassett Flowers was amazing to work with! Brooks took my appointment and was so pleasant on the phone. When we met in person, he was open to our ideas and actually made our vision even better with his own. My husband and I got married in July 2013, so we wanted bright flowers and Brooks delivered. I showed him pictures and he produced flowers and arrangements that were prettier than we imagined! When I went back the second time, Brooks showed me a sampling of the centerpieces and was happy to make any changes that we wanted. After some time passed and I got a little more crazy (as all brides do!), I called Brooks and asked to see a sampling of my bouquet and the girls bouquets at which point he told me to come in whenever I was available and he would sit down again with me. Going to Bassett Flowers, I felt like I was just visiting a friend because Brooks was so nice and welcoming and truly showed a passion for his work. Besides the gorgeous flowers, Brooks and Bassett Flowers were very reasonably priced. Not only did we purchase the standards for weddings, we also rented an archway that Brooks and Bassett embellished with flowers and everything was well within our budget. The flowers were beautiful (I'm STILL getting compliments) and the price was fair; it was also a pleasure to work with Brooks. All of my future flower needs will certainly be handled by Bassett Flowers.

Brooks Allen and his team were fantastic and created the most gorgeous arrangements for my wedding. Brooks really listened to what I wanted and made me feel like we were on the same page through out the entire planning process. His team was professional and really nice and I was blown away by the final outcome on the day of my wedding!
