Gary was a massive help in the clean up process and kept everything running smoothly. With so many mobile and portable pieces, Bat Haus made it easy to set up the room exactly as needed, especially with a few last minute switches. The long wooden tables and string lights create such an awesome atmosphere. Lovely spot full of character and personality, described by many of our friends and family as the perfect place for us to be married!!

Charming, romantic, and comfortable, it really suited our DIY celebration. The mezzanine was very handy for getting ready and gathering the wedding party. e to get ready with friends, the backyard provided a nice change of scenery during the night, and the string lights lent great ambience to the space (and vastly cut down on the amount of decorating we had to do). Plus, not having to worry about renting tables and chairs was a huge relief. The only drawback was that there's only one bathroom, but that's just the space, and I find that people are very flexible. If you prefer a more DIY wedding to an all-inclusive one, this is a perfect spot.

We were a bit worried about having our ceremony and reception in the same space, but it worked out fine. Since the weather was nice, we were able to use the backyard for the bar, which saved us a bit more space inside. We also liked having the upstairs area to get ready before the ceremony. The string lights, sky lights, and white walls give the space a quirky, urban vibe. We had about 80 people including the staff, and it was a perfect fit. We were glad to have the tables and chairs, which were provided by the venue. The only downside is the fact that there's only one bathroom, but no one seemed to mind. We looked at several venues in New York and BatHaus was definitely the best in terms of value and location. If we had to do it all again, we would definitely choose BatHaus a second time!

lock!) available for use. The backyard was a great place for guests (and our dog) to hang out, the mezzanine with kitchen was a great place for me to get dressed and store things, and the permanent hanging lights in the main space added such a warmth and comfort to the space. It was so beautiful.
Natalie, the space coordinator, was always super supportive and cheerful throughout the whole process. We had a Friday evening reception which meant a tight turnaround time for set up because the Bat Haus is used as a coworking space Monday-Friday, but Natalie was already helping set up when we showed up on Friday evening. She was also great about cleanup and had folks there helping us shut down the event AND let us pick up our leftovers the next day. She was a total dream.
I would HIGHLY recommend the Bat Haus for anyone looking for a laid back and fun space to hold their event.

She let us come visit the space whenever we needed to, answered all our questions, and helped us figure out the best way to arrange the room from ceremony to dinner to dancing for just over 100 guests. She let us use the upstairs area to get ready and the backyard for family photos. We didn't have to rent furniture as the space already had plenty of tables and chairs, as well as water pitchers and candle holders, which saved us a lot of money. We could not be happier with how everything turned out!

Natalie & Cody were great listeners and responsible hosts; we were always on the same page. They were flexible and allowed us to decorate the space earlier in the afternoon, so my husband could get it all set up before heading to the ceremony. Easy for people to get to from Manhattan - simply half a block from the subway exit. Even the old folks came and enjoyed being in a Brooklyn vibe. Haus online, and was excited because it is a block away from my apartment. We were, honestly, a little unsure when we saw the space, because although it has a great vibe and energy for a party, we were not sure if it was a little too raw for our celebration. But then we met Natalie, and we were hooked. Natalie was so incredibly helpful, professional, reasonable, friendly and easy going that we simply felt Bat Haus had to be the place. She helped us every step of the way. She was always happy to let us stop by when we needed to take measurements, show the lighting people what it looked like, let the caterers see it, the band, etc. When I got stressed out, Natalie always made me feel like everything was gong to work out. And it did! We had a wonderful, memorable party! The space transformed beautifully, and with the garden and open front doors, it felt breezy and not cramped, even though we had about 130 people! I can't recommend Bat Haus enough! It was a perfect venue for us because Natalie gave us the freedom to follow our vision and the support we needed to make it happen! Thank you Natalie and Bat Haus!!!
