They reached out to us less than a week after our shoot with some sneak peek shots. We feel so lucky to have secured David and his team as our wedding photographers next year. David gave us everything we could have asked for- unlimited time on our day, an engagement session that helped us get comfortable with each other, easy communication, and most importantly, he captured some amazing moments on our big day. He was there early to get as many photos before the ceremony as possible and he made the picture taking fun for everybody. He and his wife are very professional, but they also make the photos quick and fun, then, after he has taken a photo, he walks up to the group to show them what the photo looks like! A very nice touch. We would hire him again, thank you, David!

The plan has other available options, including floral, DJ etc. but we already had those vendors locked in by the time we discovered David and his team. The engagement shoot: Our engagement shoot was the first time getting in front of the camera with David. From the beginning he made us feel very comfortable. David has extensive knowledge behind the camera, but because he was a model in his previous career, he really understands what it’s like on the other side. He worked with us on our poses and gave us a lot of tips for how to stand, smile, hold each other etc. which really came in handy on the day of our wedding. David taught us how to dip for the camera (yes it’s different than how you’d dip during dancing). It might sound weird, but we actually got a lot of compliments on how smooth and natural our first kiss dip was during the wedding, and we have David to thank for that! The wedding: David and his team are very prompt on the day of the wedding. He just got married himself so he completely understand the pressure and stress of the big day. He spent the beginning of the day with me and my bridesmaids and the other photographers on his team spent the morning with my husband and his groomsmen. David has a deep network of photographers, videographers and other vendors throughout the Bay Area. We were very happy with the crew he brought on the wedding day and we actually hired my makeup artist from his list of recommendations. Throughout the wedding, David and his team worked very discreetly. After the ceremony, we had a lot of family photos to get through and everything went really smooth thanks to their organization and communication with everyone involved. We left the ceremony site to get some photos on a cliffside at sunset and David did a fantastic job setting up quickly, getting the right shots and getting us back to our venue to not miss out on the good times. Photo reveal: David and his team are very responsive and on top of their communication. After the wedding, we knew it would take a while to get our photos back since we’re in peak wedding season. They sent us a couple sneak peek photos to keep us excited while we waited for the big reveal. When our photos were ready to be viewed, David invited us to his studio to make it special. At his studio, David had popcorn (he remembered we love popcorn and had a popcorn machine at our wedding), and champagne waiting for us. We had a good time chatting about the wedding, his recent travels and where he’s off to next. The reason I’m telling you this is because I feel like we made a genuine connection with David and enjoyed spending time with him. It never felt like a transaction with him, which is exactly what you want from the person capturing the best day of your life. Overall, our experience with David has been incredibly positive and we’ve already passed his name along to some of our other friends that are in the market. You won’t regret the experience of having him a part of your wedding team and you surely won’t regret the amazing photos he will deliver.

the level of service afterward. Just got our photo books (our delay) and I can definitely say that they look better than I imagined! Having him and Maritza for the entire day was great! We never had to worry if a moment was going to get missed. When it comes time for your wedding photographer decision, do yourself a favor and meet with David. David's enthusiasm, charisma and investment in us as clients stood apart from all the other wedding photographers, and we had no idea how vital these attributes would prove to be during our events. His energy helped us and all our loved ones feel relaxed in front of the camera, added to the fun and festivities, and most importantly, kept my husband and I perked up and camera ready throughout the long and grueling process that is a wedding.  Of all our vendors, he is the one we most highly recommend and the one all our family and friends continue to gush over.

and he was just a burst of energy. His then fiancé (now wife) were so bubbly and really made us feel super comfortable. We signed up for their 10k wedding with AvidaBridal and honestly it was the easiest and best decision we made. It was smooth sailing after that. Kelsey the wedding planner that came with the package was so awesome to the point that we started worrying if we should be stressed! Lol! She reminded us that if we were stressed then she wasn’t doing her job. Never once were we stressed out and all the vendors that came with the package were professional and fun as well! My only regret is that we aren’t having another event/wedding to plan! Definitely using David again for the future.

e most important thing that a bride and groom needs to look into is their photographer and videographer. That is the only thing besides your memory that lasts from that day until forever. My first meeting with him was when we were looking for options of location for our pre wedding shoot. He gave us great ideas about the location and had a unique concept in mind. He would always go out of his way to help us and made sure everything was satisfactory. All of last minute requests were accommodated happily. For example, the night before our Sanger, we requested he bring a photo book of our pre wedding shoot for people to sign and look at. Although others may have hesitated given the time constraint, David made it happy because he knew how much it would mean to us. David was a pleasure to work with. Also, his team was kind and attentive to what my husband and I were looking for when it comes to professional wedding video and photography. They were able to capture such amazing pictures that I did not know were possible. Thank you David for helping us create and document wonderful memories we will cherish for years to come.

The final product is, as expected, amazing. All these points makes him money well spent and should leave you satisfied. But there's more. What sets David Sachs Photography apart is his passion for his craft. He loves what he does, it shows when he does it, and it is contagious. Women in wedding mode, generally, will know how they want to take their photos. Us dudes though, not so much. Enter David, this is where his experience shines through. He becomes part of your crew, gets you all to relax, and manages to get all of us dudes who hate taking photos manage to become models, and legitimately have fun while doing it. I can't remember any other time in my life where I felt as comfortable taking photos. And my groomsmen gave glowing, unsolicited reviews. But more importantly, the bride and her squad all adored him, and my wife could not be happier with how the photos turned out. When I got engaged, my boss told me to ensure I get a top notch photographer because we're ultimately going to live through the photos since the big day will be a blur. David Sachs Photography is worth every penny, his pricing on paper is fair, but his exceptional work product makes him a bargain. Lastly, the vendors you choose are in it with you, they become an extension of your bridal party. I wanted to be surrounded by good people that want to celebrate our day, David and his staff became family on our biggest day.

y’re doing. They both wear Bat-belts and cool harness vests holding cameras, lenses, flashes, umbrella-shaped light focusing tools, and so on. They know about sunlight and angles and what type of light will flatter us, what time of day to be where, etc. From a technical standpoint, they immediately set themselves apart from the 96 wedding guests walking around with their phones out, ready to take photos. The pictures came out crazy good, like magazine quality, like the best we’ve ever looked, like we want to blow these photos up and hang them above the mantle, like that good! However, their cool tools are probably the same as everyone else who does this. And the quality photos were only apparent after our wedding day. So… how did we know we loved them before we got the photos? David took over an hour to talk to the two of us about our wants and needs before we’d even chosen him. Vinh helped me tie my tie in a cool new way I’d never seen before. David had an endless amount of cool, silly, flattering poses for us and our guests When I was nervous and flustered before the wedding even began, Vinh chit chatted with me about Jess (wife), how we met, what we were like as a couple, etc. I thought he was just being polite because he could see I was nervous, but, after working with him, I think he likes to get to know the couples in order to take more authentic photos. David and Vinh both are masters at candid photos, but are also so fun and silly, that the posed photos feel natural. The two of them made us laugh so hard, we didn’t need to try and smile for our photos. Halfway through the wedding, we took a break to do a beach (cliff) photo shoot. It was freezing and windy and Jess and I wanted to be eating or dancing with our friends. That said, because of David and Vinh, the shoot ended up being one of the best parts of our entire wedding! On the way back from the photo shoot, David caught the sight of an amazing sunset view and pulled over immediately, encouraging to walk through a random meadow in our wedding clothes. The pictures were amazing!! And we got a true sense of David’s artistic eye and his commitment to going above and beyond for our special day. When we renew our vows 50 years from now, we’ll only accept 80-year-old David and Vinh as our photographers!

We wanted a combination of staged family and bridal party photos to make sure everyone was included and a ton of candid photos so we could truly capture the essence of the entire weekend. David not only took the most stunning photographs and videos from our event, but he also helped us execute on our complicated Save the Date video and was ok with the many rounds of feedback we had! The first time I watched the highlight video from our wedding weekend, I teared up because the emotions he captures in his work truly bring you back to that day. at care of me, taking the time to meet in his studio and over the phone. Kate was my photographer the day of the wedding and I couldn't be happier! She was an absolute delight to work with, and my guests couldn't stop raving about her energy and style! At our formal viewing session, David had these beautiful prints made and surprised us with a slideshow. The slideshow was more than just back to back images, but had a beautiful flow that brought tears to my eyes. There are no other photographers like this team; they are simply the best!

The most important thing to my husband and me was there to be less focus on “staged” photos and more of an effort to capture the truly organic moments and natural memories as they happened at our wedding. The team was able to go above and beyond in making this happen- every photo captured takes me back to our special day and gives me glimpses of moments that I cherished and moments that I couldn’t physically be there to experience with my family and friends! It left me feeling like I didn’t miss anything at all. For those who say your wedding is “all a blur”, that is simply not true with this team; they allow you to re-experience every special moment with new light and new meaning.  Every photograph was tastefully done, with excellent composition, lighting and quality. Everyone raves about the bright and vibrant colors of an Indian wedding in our photos in the backdrop and beautiful light and landscape of Napa.  The whole team was endlessly accommodating for the bride and groom, there was always someone around when you needed them. They were all fabulous and energetic, and felt like family at the wedding.  One of my favorite memories was telling David that I wish I was able to spend more time with My fiancé in the midst of all the parties and craziness the day before the wedding - I was really missing him. David then sneakily staged a photo op, and convinced us both to step away from our obligations for a few pictures. When we got to the spot, David said “actually we’re not taking any pictures right now, this is for just the two of you to have a moment together”, and he left us alone! It was one the rare moments of peace we had at our wedding weekend and it was all because David listened to a small detail- and him and his team did just this the whole weekend! David was full of welcome surprises. I wont forget when he came back with my engagement ring and showed me an incredibly photo he snapped of my ring sitting a birds nest with a newly laid egg he found in the woods! That’s just the kind of person he is – creative, spontaneous yet reliable. I highly recommend David N. Sachs with absolutely no hesititations.

We scheduled an engagement photo shoot up in Tilden Park in Berkeley, and we had a great experience; we're not typically the most bombastic couple, but he really helped us get comfortable and get some great photos. After we saw how the engagement shoot came out, we were very excited to work with him on the wedding. He came with us to our walkthrough of the venue and made sure to get a sense of how the space was laid out and what kind of shots he would get. On our wedding day, he used two separate teams: one to capture the bride getting ready and one for the groom. Both teams were very professional and showed up right on time. They stayed out of the way while we were getting ready, but made sure to introduce themselves to the wedding party so everybody was familiar with them. They got a ton of great shots while we were setting everything up. During the ceremony, they were unobtrusive as could be, but they still knew exactly where to go and got some amazing footage, both still and video. After the ceremony was over, they did a fantastic job getting photos of all of our family members while keeping us on schedule. They took some unbelievable photos of us by ourselves after everybody went to the reception. At the reception itself, they got all kinds of pictures of everyone dancing, as well as some terrific shots of our live band. David was very responsive throughout the whole editing process and fielded a bunch of requests from us as we tweaked the album layout and asked for some photos to be cropped or touched up. The album itself is amazing quality. Overall, we absolutely loved working with David and his team and we can't recommend him highly enough for weddings!

Most other photographers I spoke to gave you a cold business type talk but David asked questions and made it very personal on first talk to even after the wedding. If you chose him and his team, you will not be disappointed! Everyone at my wedding was asking me about him and loved him.

(Super important because some of the vendor will not respond or make you wait for couple days) We have a Jewish wedding and he had enough experiences for different type of events. I don’t even have to worry or contact him before because we trust him so much and this is very important for the bride. There’s lots of thing can happened and stress you that you don’t want to hire a wrong vendors. He also had an amazing video team and other photographers to work with. It is very hard to find a good photographer that has some quality of David. He is fast, professional, caring and very fun to work with. The last thing is he save us for the last minute. Our wedding planner quit and abandoned us two weeks before the wedding (That’s why you can never count on the wedding planners). We can not find anyone to help us and David helped us to solved the problem. He know lot of people in the bay area and he found us the wedding planner in one day. We are very appreciate for what he did for us. We are very lucky to have this guy for our wedding.
