rformance and your guests seemed to have a great time dancing but I'm very sorry that the band fell short of your expectations on the night. I did think we had come to an understanding in our conversations, that we had addressed your post-event communication concerns, and I hope the refund we offered was helpful. To provide some context, when we received your initial complaint email, I wanted to take some time to gather information from the musicians and thoroughly address your comments before responding. I'm sorry that that took longer than anticipated and that I didn't respond for a few days. I realize that I should have let you know that I was looking into the situation and that it may take some time. The biggest error of the night was obviously the last dance song. I'm really sorry about the band's confusion and for any miscommunication that contributed. Once it was addressed, we were more than happy to perform the final song. You mention the interaction with the officer and, unfortunately, that conversation was not pleasant and the band was confused and thrown off by him walking up on stage to yell at them in the middle of the last song. I do agree that we could have done more to communicate the end of the night to guests but, when the band was told to pack up immediately, we didn't want to push the situation. In the moment, we didn't think through the impact on guests and we'll certainly use this as a learning experience and will create more of a time buffer for future events at venues with strict noise ordinances. Regarding the first dance song, the band did start off slower and then picked up the energy of the song but I'm realizing I didn't fully understand that you wanted it to transition from acoustic to electric and am sorry for that. You obviously made a significant number of lyrical change requests for the special dances, which the band tried to accommodate while keeping with the rhythm of the song. I don't think the singers realized they had made mistakes with your lyrics but you obviously would have known the lines best and clearly noticed, so I'm sorry for any errors. I'm also sorry that it was overlooked that Ed Sheeran was on the dinner Spotify playlist. Regarding the requests, the band did play the majority of songs requested or songs by the artists you mentioned. It seemed like your guests especially enjoyed some of the rock songs we learned for your event! Our apologies again for any mistakes we made. I know we can't correct those now but I do hope the partial refund was helpful. Wishing you and Steven all the best!
