We could not have been happier with our experience with Bay Preserve at Osprey for our March wedding. Everything was beyond perfect from our very first meeting until we left the night of our wedding. This is truly a hidden gem in the Sarasota area and I am so happy we were able to find it. The outdoor area is so picturesque, you don't even need a lot of decor for the space to shine. The venue also offers multiple layout options - the world is really your oyster in terms of set-up.
Sam Valentin - the event coordinator - was so extremely helpful, responsive and flexible anytime we had any questions or concerns. The venue is really willing to work with you. I wanted to get in a little earlier in order to get ready on-site and they were able to accommodate. Also, one of my favorite aspects of the venue is that they only do one wedding a weekend, so you also automatically have your rehearsal time locked in for the day before. I think that is a huge plus compared to some of the other venues in the area.
They make sure to groom and maintain the property that very day so it is picture perfect shape for your day too!
Michael's on East is the exclusive caterer, and although a little on the pricier side, they are the best in town and I was thrilled to work with them. Plus, they know the space SO well!
My recommendation to anyone looking for a venue in this area - LOOK HERE! The space is truly magical and we could not have been happier!
We received first rate service from the Bay Preserve. My wife and I could not be happier with our choice of the Bay Preserve. Sam was fantastic to work with. The evening of our wedding was outstanding. Thank you!
Bay preserve was an absolutely beautiful place to get married! The setting is breath taking and the people are so nice and accommodating. Our guests were in awe with how gorgeous of a setting it was being outdoors on the water under the string lights. It was romantic in every way and a dream come true for a wedding venue !
Bay Preserve is a picturesque wedding venue. We got married on 11/17 and couldn't have asked for a better day and the weather was amazing. The setting at Bay Preserve is one of a kind and so many of our guests told us it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to! Definitely would choose this venue over and over again if we could!
By far, the most beautiful setting to get married in West Florida. It was magical, all of our guests commented that they have never been to a wedding this wonderful. The natural setting at sunset was amazing. Gilly, our contact at Bay Preserve was amazing. So helpful and a dream to deal with. This was the best day of my life and could not have hoped for anything different. Spectacular. Book your wedding here- you will not be disappointed.
Beautiful venue and setting inside and out. Gilly is the main coordinate there and is amazing. She's so sweet and really tries to make the experience as perfect as possible.
This venue is gorgeous. Originally, I thought I had wanted a beach wedding, but being from the South, the plantation home style had a draw. This was the PERFECT combination - a plantation style home on the Bay. It was very unique and was very classy. Gilly, who manages the venue, is great to work with. We almost got rained out and ended up having to get a tent day-of. Gilly was great in figuring out how to get things done last minute. The large trees with Spanish moss also added a great Old World feel. We took quite a few pictures on the pier as well and I can't wait to see how they turned out.
Overall, I couldn't recommend it highly enough!! It was gorgeous and very easy to coordinate with Gilly.
We couldn't be happier with how our wedding turned out. The Bay Preserve is gorgeous and exactly what we were looking for. Make sure to have signs leading guests back there because it can be a tad tricky for those who have never been. Gilly, the main coordinator with the Bay Preserve, was easy to work with and helpful along the way. It's important to note that you must use their caterer, Michael's on the East. This can be a bit pricy but worth the money. I wouldn't have done anything differently. The breeze from the water made the Florida heat bearable and our guests had a great time walking around the property and on the dock.
We hosted a small, but intimate wedding at Bay Preserve and we were very happy with the beautiful property with mature trees, the privacy of the grounds and home and the convenience of having our ceremony, cocktail hour, sit down dinner and dancing in one location. The choice of vendor partners offered with this venue is excellent. We could not have been happier with our choice.
This is by far the most beautiful venue in/near Sarasota, FL for an outdoor wedding and/or reception. Their on-site coordinator Gilly is a joy to work with, and the exclusive caterer Michael's on East is the absolute best in Sarasota. The historic home on the property, the trees draped with Spanish moss, the Roman-style stage, and the sunset over the water provide endless combinations of gorgeous backdrops for your photos and of course, add to the joy of your experience. It is best for between 75 - 175 guests. We booked almost a year in advance for our November wedding. Though it is not cheap, the value is good (in comparison with the other options one has in Sarasota). Visit first -- but you will not be disappointed!
The facilities is absolutely beautiful, the perfect place for an outside wedding. The Coordinator Gilly Francis is an absolute delight to work with and had been so very helpful during the entire year of planning. The only thing I wish would have been different is to allow more time to remove our belongings from the Burrow Matson House. As soon as the wedding was over and we were say hello/goodbye to our guest, we were rushed to get our things out of the house as it was closing. With that being said, we were allowed to remain on the premises as long as we needed to finish up our pictures. If you're planning an outside wedding in the area, I would strongly recommend contacting Gilly - she is an amazing Coordinator and will assist you in finding the absolutely perfect location for your wedding.
It is an absolutely beautiful piece of property with old Oak trees and palm trees right on the water. There's also a dock where we used our own boat to transport the wedding party, and it was beautiful for pictures! The old brick mansion provided a place for the wedding party to get dressed and hang out. The staff was personable, helpful, and went out of their way to make our day special. It is pricy, but I say you only get married once! (Also, beware of the required valet parking for parties over 50 people.) Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing! :)
Bay Preserve at Osprey is right next to Historic Spanish Point, and many don't even know it's there (I didn't and I was born and raised here). The property is large, open, beautiful and right on the water. You can have the nature-filled wedding that you wanted as you say your vows underneath the trees, or have your ceremony up against the water while the sun is setting. The two-story historical house that we got ready in is absolutely beautiful! The staircase inside of the house is a must-have for pictures. You should really check this spot out! Plus.. when you choose Bay Preserve you are supporting the Conservation Foundation.
Not to mention, Gilly (who runs the show there) is on top of her game! She was so easy to communicate with, and helped ease this first time bride's troubled mind! If I could re-live my wedding day 1,000 times, I wouldn't change a thing!
Beautiful, remote, intimate setting. Great people to work with!
