Bay Tree Manor

We had to do a last minute venue switch and we had our wedding at Bay Tree Manor on 4/24/21. It was AMAZING, the venue was in great shape and the owners were AWESOME! They worked all day long to help us, during dinner we ran out of plates and the owners went to the store and bought us more plates (Without us asking). They were amazing hosts and I would highly recommend having your wedding here!

We had our wedding party stay at Baytree for our wedding weekend and we could not be happier that we did! First, Paige and Mark are very friendly hosts, they waited for us to arrive on the first night to share a glass of wine! Throughout the weekend they were hospitable, attentive to our needs, and let us enjoy the premises. On that note, the house and property is absolutely stunning. There are kayaks which you can use to paddle out to the Chesapeake Bay. The rooms are luxurious with amazing views. The pool is nice and warms up well in the summer. Also, Paige makes the most delicious breakfast. We also held a brunch for around 50 of our guests at Baytree the morning after the wedding, which went wonderfully. The Baytree experience helped to create the wedding weekend and post wedding brunch of our dreams.

For a wedding I would say it is NOT the right venue. Please do your homework. I have had the honor of being the mother of 2 daughters to get married in the last 12 months and having been in 2 venues in the last 12 months for this bride my heart hurt on her VERY special day on this one.. The Inn Keepers made themselves a fixture in the wedding festivities this is of BAD taste in my opinion, they talked trash about the wedding party to the wedding guest during the reception.. (well this was not good seeing how 2 of the ones they were speaking to were mothers of those groomsmen, not me however I did listen to it first hand!). They shut down and roll up the rugs at 9PM make sure to read every word of your contract, do NOT expect to be able to enjoy your time with your wedding party past 9PM IT WILL NOT HAPPEN! No inside or outside common area for socializing allowed as the owners live in the same house and are NOT to be disturbed. If on your wedding day you have the groom's party dressing in the groom area so the bride and groom do not run into each other and they need to be kept separate.. oh well that is just to bad.. your groom may be late for the wedding because he must clean the groom area completely of his belongings and will not be notified of this until just before the party is to walk down the isle that they will not be allowed back in to gather the remaining items because it will be LOCKED up once the ceremony is complete! This caused an uproar and scrambling of groomsmen to get belongings out and try to make it down the isle on time. It is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast, however.. Please be very hesitant of holding a private event at this location if you want not to invite the owners or if you would like to enjoy your event your way.. Give Jasmine Plantation a try.. Now that is a TRUE experience... same cost larger accommodation and the owners will treat you & your guest like royalty! DO YOUR HOMEWORK.. Make you Day one you Want to remember and one without a million bugs and uninvited guest!

Bay Tree Manor is the perfect location for a weekend wedding celebration! Not only is it beautiful, but the owners Paige and Mark are wonderful hosts!! The breakfast they cook each morning is absolutely delicious. The value with Bay Tree is great since you can have your rehearsal, dinner, ceremony, and reception all in the same location! We also loved it because we were able to freely choose all of our vendors, and they included things like ceremony chairs, tables, & linens, which also helped save money. Don't be afraid of the price tag--it's worth every penny!!
