had the honor of doing a handful of weddings at Bay View and every time we are refreshed by their staff and the little things they do to help vendors. They have a team effort attitude when it comes to their weddings and set up. They are so very accommodating to vendors which in turn makes for a really positive experience for their clients. Their clients may not even be aware of all extra things they do behind the scene for them on their special day but we see it!!  After being in the wedding industry for almost 10 years I can truly say this venue is one of my favorites to work out in Michigan because of the Bay View staff!!

We were even more floored by Rose, though. We were lucky enough to secure the last available date in our dream month (October), and we could not be happier that we did. I am in no way hyperbolic when I say that working with Rose was one of the best experiences of my life - she is thoughtful, clear, organized, and so incredibly available to help, answer questions or put you at ease. Rose was there every step of the way to help me figure out what I needed to get done next, to communicate with our other vendors, to float an opinion past, all of it. She was extraordinarily patient when we were late to our own rehearsal because of a poorly planned route (a classy move), and got things right back on track right away. When the big day finally rolled around, I was shocked to find that I had no nerves about anything to do with the day - I trusted and knew she had everything under perfect control. She got us to the beautiful barn and adorable cabin where we all needed to get ready (I cannot recommend using their on-site locations to get ready for your big day enough), she kept us on schedule and on time, and was even a hero with our photographer when my Maid of Honor had a scary medical emergency an hour before the ceremony. I am certain that our day would have been special no matter where we got married because we love each other, but now we get to have this incredible memory of an amazing day that is made all the more vibrant by our choice to do it all at Bay View with Rose. I was honestly sad to have to write this review because it meant that it was really over. Rose, we cannot thank you enough for everything you did for us to make our day so magical, and we are so grateful that we got to spend the day somewhere so insanely beautiful. We will be returning regularly when the distillery opens so we can say hello and revisit so many amazing memories.

ruly believe that this will be the most popular venue in Northern Michigan in a few years. We had so many guests say it was the most beautiful venue they had ever been at and some compared it to the Catalina Wine Mixer (IYKYK). Rose was a pleasure to work with and you could feel her passion come through. She just wanted us to have the best day possible and did everything she could to make that happen!! Rose keeps special plants that attract butterflies around the venue site and during our ceremony we had 5 flying around - it was so special. Words cannot even describe the beauty of this place. There was a special ‘shack’ (updated, of course) next to a pond where my husband and his groomsmen got ready and fished before the ceremony! There is a glammed out barn that the bridesmaids hung out in before the ceremony. They even have a special area in the cherry groves with string lights that is perfect for a first look. Our wedding was better than our wildest dreams. Thank you Rose and the entire Bayview team for making our wedding the most perfect day of our lives! 10000/10 **Disclaimer: If you plan to have a larger wedding (we had 230) then I recommend talking extensively with Rose about the layout prior to booking!. We thought we were going to be able to fit all our guests in the provided tent but that was only if we did not have a band and were willing to have tables on the dancefloor for dinner. We ended up having to bring in a larger tent to accommodate our guest count, which was an unexpected expense. We have zero regrets with having our wedding at Bayview but want to provide that insight for those planning on having larger guest counts!

The month of our wedding, Rose held a few extra calls with us to run through details and make sure we felt comfortable leading up to the big day. During a stressful time, we cannot thank her enough for calming our nerves. On the day of our wedding, Rose and her staff made sure everything was perfect. The entire day was a dream come true! Several bridal party members (even the groomsmen) noticed and told us how great Rose was, how she was communicating with our bridal party, family, vendors and overall making sure the day ran smoothly and we had everything we needed. My father is handicapped and one thing that was important to me was making sure he could walk me down the aisle. Unlike other venues with uneven grass, the cement pad on The Overlook worked perfectly to roll his walker down. Rose was very accommodating and made sure he (and my family) had everything they needed to get around the venue. This meant so much to us. He felt included and didn't miss a beat. Rose makes you feel at ease during a stressful and exciting time. We are SO happy to have chosen Bay View Weddings as our wedding venue and to have worked with Rose!

We reached during a very last minute trip over the holidays to schedule a tour and she was able to get us in right away (and had the driveway/road in plowed). The reception with the gorgeous bar with the yard of games and views of the water was something out of a fairytale. Truly, the best wedding we could have dreamt. Flowers on the flower arch at the ceremony kept twisting out of place due to the wind; who kept trying to fix it? Rose. The catering staff we hired was lacking in many ways; who stepped up and dismissed tables and cleared plates and cut up our extra wedding cake? Rose. Who picked up our late night snack for our guests and ran other small errands throughout the night? ROSE!! This woman deserves an award. When any hiccup came along during the day she dealt with it so we could enjoy the day. I can't recommend this venue enough!!!!!

From our very first visit to the property we knew it would be an unforgettable day. The view: Wow! What better way to express our boundless love than through nature’s breathtaking grandeur? The entire farm was lovely with many ceremony location options and photo opportunities. We got shots in the apple orchards, the rustic barn, a small pondside cabin, and of course, West Bay. They even let us take engagement photos in the cherry blossoms! Rose, our wedding coordinator, was spectacular throughout the entire process. She was prompt, helpful, and passionate. All the planning and coordination was taken care of, and Rose had all the contingencies covered to ensure our day was perfect. The venue had good relationships with local vendors, which made it easy as well. Our ceremony at the Bay View Hill Top transitioned to a wonderful cocktail hour with yard games and bistro lights. The circular bar was a huge hit! Even though most of our guests were from Michigan, it felt like a destination wedding because of Traverse City’s beauty and endless recreational offerings. Each person who stepped foot on the Overlook agreed it was an unparalleled panorama. Seriously, the #1 thing we heard from people was how gorgeous the setting for our day was. We could not have imagined a more perfect ceremony and reception, and we have Bay View Weddings at Gallagher Farms to thank for that!

To us, the Bay View Wedding venue is quintessential Northern Michigan beauty at its finest! Rolling hills, stunning Bay views, a lovely cherry orchard, and a beautiful barn for our wedding party to "hide out in" taking pictures while our guests arrived to the hilltop ceremony site are just a few of this venue's assets that helped make our wedding day truly unforgettable. This venue is unique in that Rose allows you a lot of freedom in choosing your own vendors and set up design. We really enjoyed that flexibility to customize our day as that was not always the case when we visited other venues. It was easy and a pleasure to work with Rose in pre-planning meetings as she is responsive, flexible and always happy to help! Her staff set up our decorations for us at no extra charge and helped make sure all the other vendors were operating smoothly throughout the wedding day. Our original wedding date was set for 2020 but we felt the need to postpone until 2021. Rose was extremely supportive throughout that process and we were so grateful for that! Overall, the venue is one-of-a-kind beautiful, Rose and her staff were incredible helpful and diligent, and this venue allows you to customize your wedding day to shape it into YOUR perfect day! I. This venue was my LAST stop because based on the little reviews and photos I did not have high expectations. THIS VENUE IS GORGEOUS. I looked at all the well known wineries and very expensive wedding venues in the TC area. I can promise you this venue is more beautiful than any of the rest. The views are stunning. I was shocked they didn't have more information online until I learned they just opened as a wedding venue one year prior. Rose Gallagher was AMAZING. She was prompt in answering my many questions throughout the year and is very kind. She allowed me to store my wedding decor days prior to the wedding. She set up and decorated all of my decor and signs, which was a ton of work at no extra charge. She acted as my day of coordinator. This venue does take more work since you need to bring all of your own vendors in (caterer, linens, etc), which is to be expected for any outdoor tent venue. We were very blessed to have the perfect weather and all of our guests were blown away by the spectacular views. This venue is truly a hidden gem. I will say that you need to be prepared to do a lot of extra work throughout the year planning for any outdoor tent wedding anywhere, but if all the stars align it will be the best wedding anyone has ever been too (or if you can afford a wedding planner).
