Make your wedding one for the ages! The Garrison House is a beautiful, rustic venue located in Chelmsford, MA. The "Old Chelmsford" Garrison House is a museum that exhibits common aspects of everyday life in colonial New England. In addition to the original Garrison House, this four-acre property has become home to several other historic buildings that have been relocated to the property over the years. Primary museum exhibit spaces will not be accessible during the event, but we may be able to arrange a museum tour during your event weekend for an additional fee. The venue space features a large outdoor area for tented weddings, a barn, and several rooms in one of our historic buildings. We can host weddings that seat up to 125 people in our tented outdoor space from May to October, with the historic building and barn available for getting-ready spaces and other aspects of your event. Our historic building and barn are also available for elopements and micro-weddings, with the historic building available year-round for small elopements.
We have an outdoor ceremony space available for use with re-purposed church pews as seating and an arch. We provide the tent, tables, and chairs, and the spaces can be decorated to fit your wedding theme. Our staff will be on-site throughout your event to assist with your event set-up and to ensure that your event runs smoothly. We have a limited set of decorations, lawn games, and other equipment available for use to support a beautiful event. We have on-site parking, as well as a wheel chair accessible bathroom. We book larger weddings on Saturdays, which also includes access to the venue on Friday evening and Sunday morning--discuss with our staff about also using this space for a rehearsal dinner or a post-wedding brunch!
