The staff at the convention center could not have been more accommodating or creative in executing a pandemic wedding reception. Although we changed our reception completely within about 2 months of the wedding, no guest could tell. It was setup and executed beautifully on Presque Isle Bay. The food and bar service was exceptional and all guests sincerely enjoyed interacting with the staff. We really had a fun night (and a safe night) in spite of the craziness of 2020.

We had our ceremony and reception at the BCC. Rachel was our event coordinator and I cannot say enough good things about her and the BCC staff. From the day we reserved the BCC to the day of the event, Rachel was always in contact with me, promptly answered any questions or concerns I had made our wedding day go as smooth as possible. Our ceremony was on the terrace outside and our reception was in the west ballroom. Even on a rainy day, their indoor backup location is just as beautiful. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all right there and our guests could use every minute to celebrate! My parents also commented on how incredible the BCC staff was with transportation (golf kart to get around), and with the set-up/clean-up before and after the wedding. The bar staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone had their drink of choice, and that all of our guests had an incredible time. The one thing that really stands out is that during our menu tasting, I commented that I didn't like my food touching each other. When our dinner was served wedding night, each of my side items were in a separate small bowl. It is that attention to detail that shows why they deserve 5 stars. I never pictured a day that would turn out as incredible as it did. I highly recommend using the BCC as a venue for a wedding!

It was the best choice! Rachael was wonderful. Our wedding went so smooth. The chef is amazing and the entire staff was very helpful and professional. Beautiful venue on the water that show cases the best of Erie. We got married on the Terrace and had the reception in the grand ballroom. It was absolutely beautiful and the pictures were amazing.

Our wedding coordinator, Martha, was incredible. Unfortunately her serving and bar staff detract from all the hard work she puts into it. I had several guests complain of being treated rudely by staff throughout the reception- and for the amount of money you pay that is completely unacceptable. Also, more than half of our guests never ate their cupcakes because the severs threw them out before they could even eat them. In my opinion, your wedding guests should be treated with as much care as the bride & groom but sadly that was not the case. It's a beautiful venue, but for the money I expect my guests to leave saying they had the time of their lives and many did not have that experience.

I almost cancelled my wedding at this venue due to initial issues when my coordinator left. I brought the issues to Jeff the general manager's attention and he resolved and we moved forward. Their focus is not planning weddings and that is obvious but in the end the venue was great, the staff was nice, and my guests loved the food. So in the end it worked out.

The bayfront convention center is a beautiful venue, I was very pleased. They have inclusive packages which were very nice. My only con was the wedding coordinator changed 3 times during my wedding planning, but they did do a good job of staying on top of my information.
