About this vendor
I'm a photographer who believes in the importance of capturing memories, and not just photographs. As a wedding photojournalist, it's my job to create images with my clients that tell their stories not just for them--but also for the generations that will come after them. I work closely with my clients to create wedding day images that make them laugh, cry, and above all, FEEL something when they look at them, years after everything else from their wedding day is gone. If you love your friends and family fiercely, adore a good party, and enjoy a good "That's What She Said" joke - I'm your girl. Let's make some memories together, and have a blast doing it!

Cyd and her team at Bayou Rose released so much stress for my husband and I. If you're planning a wedding, you know that is perhaps one of the best statements you can give of a bus...

We found Bayou Rose through our Wedding Venue. I hit up a chunk of the list given to us, and Bayou Rose was the best choice for us by a good margin. She was very straight forward in pricing, payments and gave updates and advice to help our day run smoothly. Was very sweet in asking us how we met, and most importantly: Accommodated a spaghetti mess of family feelings. She asks you what *you* want to see in your wedding photos and delivers.
The day of the wedding we were rushing about and our photographer was very understanding and respectful. She was also very unobtrusive, so you don't need to feel like an ant under a magnifying glass any more than you already will that day. When we got back our wedding photos (Which we and ALL our guests loved) there were moments that I was surprised got captured. Moments I had wished I had savored more, are there forever in photos. They make me a little misty eyed. if I had do it again, I'd hire her and her team once more. Good service and easy communication. Very happy with Bayou Rose.
Cyd is amazing!!
My (now) wife and I very much lucked into a professional relationship with Cyd and Bayou Rose Photo, and we are so happy we did. We sure hope these comments on h...
er work will help others make an actual educated decision when you are seeking an event photographer. And from our perspective - Bayou Rose photo is the right decision!
I hit on Cyd via a simple Google search to have surprise engagement photos taken in 2022. I'm very thankful that I did, the engagement photos were fantastic. I returned to New Orleans with my son the following year to celebrate his 21st Birthday, and I again booked Cyd. When we decided to get married in New Orleans in 2024, of course we went with Cyd and she delivered big time.
Cyd was flexible and allowed us to add some extra time to get pre-ceremony formals completed on our very tight schedule, then also additional time to stop by our after party on Bourbon to get some great shots. As we have been reviewing the hundreds of great photos Cyd took for us, there have been so many times that we reflect and say "what a great shot she got there!" On our wedding video, Cyd can be seen rushing around getting in position to do great work. She met with us beforehand to ensure we were on the same page about all the different photos we were sure we wanted to get, and we got them.
Saving the best for last here. The moon has been a symbolic and very important part of my wife and my relationship from the very beginning. As an absolute surprise, halfway through our reception, we noticed the moon hanging out above our courtyard. We asked Cyd if there was any way she could get a challenging shot of us with the moon above us - and she immediately knew what she wanted to do and how to do it. She shot the most incredible photos of us with the moon above us, and we had no idea how she was going to pull it off. But she did! We will forever cherish those moon photos, along with all of her other work.
We cannot compliment Cyd enough and hope others will consider her to document your special event - we can't imagine anyone being disappointed in any way.
Cyd is amazing, I had a 10/10 experience with her!!! Her style captures the in-the-moment feelings, which is so incredibly special.

n. And the pictures?!?!?! OMG, they are literal works of art! Going through her pictures makes me relive every emotion of that day - the anxiety, the laughing, the crying. But most importantly, she brilliantly captured the joy of not just us, but of our family and guests. It just oozes from the pictures and gives warms my heart immensely. If I have a bad day, I know I can go back through Cyd's pictures and I will instantly start smiling. She is so talented, and I am so appreciative of her and her time. You won't regret hiring Cyd as your photographer!

g photos! She captured the special moments so beautifully! We will definitely hire them again the next time we need a photographer.
You absolutely will NOT regret booking with Cyd for your wedding, or anything else she does honestly. We found her through a friend and I couldn't be happier with the interactions ...
we've had and her work. A true artist who isn't afraid to take risks for an amazing shot. We are so grateful for the quality photos that we'll have forever. Additionally, Cyd is so easy to talk to and work with, she directs very well and has an eye for greatness. I absolutely recommend putting your trust in her like we did!

tos and our wedding ceremony + reception photos. She was such a sensitive and resilient presence throughout our time working with her, making a genuine effort to connect with us personally and persisting through all challenges with a sense of humor. We could always count on her to communicate clearly and quickly with us throughout the different stages of working together. Not least of all, we loved her photos, which included a great mixture of classic and more "artsy" perspectives to choose from (and all for a very reasonable price). We can't thank her enough for helping us capture this special time in our lives in such a beautiful way. Highly recommended!
For your own good, use Bayou Rose Photography. I cannot type into words how awesome Cyd is. Picking a photographer for our wedding was a huge deal, and we hit the jackpot. Cyd has ...
become a friend for life. Looking through our pictures, it feels like we are back on our wedding day. Cyd is detailed, timely, and so easy to work with. I have told all our friends about her. I don't care if we are taking pictures to send to our land lord about what is wrong with the apartment, we are using Cyd. Lol.
Thanks for making our day great!

my groom haha). As someone who doesn’t typically like photos of myself… I cannot believe I LOVED every single one she captured for us. Our toddler was my husbands best man and as you can imagine not easy to photograph but Cyd was up for the challenge and knocked it out the park! I cannot say enough about Cyd and not only how truly talented she is but also professional and fun to work with! Thank you Cyd for capturing our day so beautifully!

that our photos would be amazing! Cyd shot our family pictures in April, my bridal pictures and our hurricane wedding. With a cat 4 storm heading straight for us in New Orleans, we had to move our wedding from 7pm to noon and Cyd was there with only 12 hours notice. She captured our day perfectly. Thank you Bayou Rose Photography!!!❤️❤️❤️
Cyd is incredible! She made everything so effortless and fun. I used her for my bridals and wedding and I am in love with every picture she took!
Cyd is an absolute dream! She is incredibly studied in her craft so she and her team produce beautiful photos that are easy to access, download, and purchase after the wedding. O...
n top of that, she is a stellar person who was so fun to have as part of our wedding ceremony and reception. She is organized and thorough, which takes pressure off of the couple and their loved ones. Cyd is also very communicative and her response time to my emails and questions (and I sent a lot of those haha) was always swift. She captured the sentimental moments as well as the goofy moments throughout our ceremony and reception. I cannot over emphasize how fantastic Cyd and her team are! Unicorn level fantastic!

friend rather than our photographer! She knew EXACTLY the vibe I was going for and hit it out the park! I’m crying and laughing more and more as I go through all the photos of our night. Lastly, she makes it SUPER easy to review all your photos and share them with friends! Make her your photographer NOW! You won’t regret it!!

I am honored to say that she became family that night and for anyone who has used her services before will understand the sentiment.
Thank you again Cyd - I will forever be grateful!

fidence in her on our wedding day and she out did herself!!! She worked with us on a timeline, she made us laugh throughout the night and most importantly she captured spectacular moments that I will forever cherish!! I can’t wait until the next big event in my life, I’ll have Cyd on speed dial!! Thank you again Cyd and the Bayou Rose Photography family!
Choosing Bayou Rose Photography was quite honestly one of the best decision that we made during our wedding process. From the very beginning, Cyd was very responsive to our emails ...
and was insistent that we meet in person before a quote was even given which I loved. From our first meeting with her, it was an immediate match. Her documentary style photography was exactly what we needed as my husband HATES taking photos, so the less that was staged the better. As some have mentioned she even acted as a "day of" planner by creating a timeline for us for the entire day. She captured some amazing shots and told us throughout the night how fun our wedding was. After the wedding, she was very active on social media making small posts about the wedding and revealing new images with every one. She also got us our gallery in roughly 10 days (we got it the night we arrived back from our honeymoon) which is just an incredible speed! Everything was wonderful and amazing. I highly recommend her for your wedding day!
Cyd was nothing short of amazing!!! She did everything I asked of her, she even suggested creating a spreadsheet of any kind of picture we would want and she had it with her on our...
wedding day & made them happen. The pictures were done in less than a month for me to look at and the quality of them were AMAZING!!! I’d 110% recommend her! She’s reasonably priced and anytime I messaged her she was back with me same day!!! I showed her ideas of photos I had & she did it and MORE. I’ve even started using her for our family photos!! She’s my forever photographer— I like to call her a photo ninja 🥰

iving my gallery of photos of my special day she was the best . Her second photographer did photos at different location of “the guys” and she was great as well . Once at the venue she was not only “my photographer” but stepped in and did a lot of Knick knack stuff that also tremendously helped me out. You won’t be disappointed using this photographer !

cé, Christopher, and I. Due to Christopher's demanding work schedule and other unforeseen events, we were unable to finalize a date until the past summer. Cyd was nothing short of patient and extremely accommodating during this lapse in time. We finalized a date and Cyd met us at sunrise to capture the best lighting at the venue we chose in Louisiana. Within just a few moments of working with her, Christopher expressed how laid back she was to work with and fun to be around. This says a lot coming from him and Cyd truly had us grinning from ear to ear the entire session. We decided to ask if she'd be willing to travel to our destination wedding in Texas and of course, she said yes. *Thank the Lord!* Fast forward to the day of our wedding - Cyd arrived to take shots of my bridesmaids and I getting ready. They quickly expressed their thrill of working with her as well. She is SO MUCH FUN to be around and did an exceptional job of getting everyone where they needed to be, and when, to ensure our list of desired photos were taken care of. Later into the evening, she handed me a few polaroid shots of photos she had taken and I thought this was so sweet and thoughtful. She had a blog post of photos available to us online within two days after the event. Just looking through these photos alone - our family and friends, and Christopher and I, completely cried and laughed all over again. Happy tears, of course! I feel like it is easy for anyone to pick up a camera and snap photos, but Cyd goes above and beyond to capture every emotion and moment, big or small. There was not one detail that was missed from our wedding day. We will cherish and look back on our collection of photos forever. Simply put, if you're not booking Bayou Rose Photography to capture your event, you are doing it all wrong. Cyd Lapour is one of a kind! <3

last minute and for an excellent price. She had our “I said Yes” photos available to us within one week. The same goes for our engagement pictures and my bridals. She had ALL of our wedding photos available to us within 2 weeks of the wedding (which was this past March 2018). She is so talented at what she does and really works around your schedule. I got married at the Old Governor’s Mansion (OGM), which required that I separately attain all vendors our wedding. Some vendors that I used were larger companies that had worked/hosted a function at OGM often or previously. Other vendors I chose were smaller companies but had still worked/performed a function at OGM previously (and so were aware of the rules/regulations of the venue). Even if Cyd had not previously photographed at OGM, she would have been so easy to work with and it would not have caused any issues. Her pricing is right on point and you receive such amazing results in a very quick timeframe. There is no way I will ever use another photographer in this area. The pricing that these larger companies charge is so outrageous and inflated. Cyd and her team are devoted to you and create striking photos that just make you very appreciative you chose her to capture your event!! Love love love me some Cyd and Bayou Rose Photography!

he finds special details in every area of her photographs. I can look at my memories and find special pieces in the background that she used to balance the photos and make them complete. Cyd was extremely easy to work with. She asked us for our preferences and delivered on them with her talents and special touch to create a product that my wife and I will absolutely treasure forever. My wife had joyful tears as she looked through our wedding pictures. we will always recommend her to everyone we know to photograph the special moments in their lives.
Cyd is absolutely amazing at what she does!!! My husband and I are overly satisfied with our wedding photos. I think what pulled me into her from the beginning was her personality....
She gets all the important shots that most weddings have but after that the rest of the night she’s doing what she’s best at. She bounces around the room capturing photos of everyone in there natural state. The photos are true to the moment. I would recommend her to anyone looking to get wonderful photos.
Cyd was absolutely awesome to work with. When you see the pictures there are always surprises. She's great at capturing moments as opposed to just posed pictures.

g back and forth on quotes/ contracts/ payments/ day of logistics planning documents etc. super easy. We didn't do any engagement photos but we did want to meet her before hand so we weren't meeting for the first time on the wedding day. We got to know each other a little bit ahead of time over coffee one day, and we got a good comfort level with her. Very easy to get along with. She did an excellent job capturing photos of us and our guests. She has a good eye and good instincts on what and who to capture and from what angle. The day of coordinator shared her compliments on Cyd with me as well - she said Cyd was great about coordinating with her which apparently isn't the case with a lot of other photographers. Cyd followed up very quickly after the wedding with a sweet online blog post with some of the best pictures from the wedding, then also super fast turnaround on getting the full portfolio of images. A great value, highly recommended!

owing the photos to be very authentic. I feel like I'm reliving our wedding day every time I look at the photos. Of course, we did do formals, which she did a great job with as well. I actually never met her in person until she was in my hotel room as I was getting ready on my wedding day, yet she fit right in with my bridesmaids and everyone there like I'd known her forever. Cyd and her other shooters were so easy to work with, both on the wedding day and leading up to it. She's super organized, and answers emails insanely fast! I couldn't recommend her more highly, as someone who you're going to be spending a good chunk of your wedding day, she's as friendly and easy-going as she is talented.

uld have never thought of. The absolute sweetest person and helped to make everyone at ease, especially me because I didn't have to worry about her missing a shot or anything. She captures the best angles and moments. I thought that I would be awkward during my bridals (and at times felt awkward posing!) but she knows what she is doing and does it wonderfully! Absolutely the best photographer ever!!

uld be able to book a photographer "last minute". From the first conversation I had with her, Cyd was extremely reassuring and helpful. In the time leading up to our wedding, she was a great resource in helping me to plan the events of the day. The day of our wedding, Cyd was a pro! She worked through rain, captured the joy of my cousin surprising me, and handled the crowd of our two large families. She captured the *sweetest* moments in our ceremony, and the "couple pictures" she took are amazing! All of the pictures from our day: bridal party, ceremony, families, set up, etc. are wonderful. I especially appreciate how Cyd captured not only the "scenery", but also the emotion of our day. The pictures truly show the memories that were made. And Cyd has a lovely personality, so she is extremely easy to work with! I would highly recommend her!

She obviously cares deeply for her clients and goes above and beyond to make everything perfect.
