I recently had the pleasure of having my wedding at Bayside Event Center, and I cannot thank Ralph and Connie Marquez enough for making our day absolutely perfect. From the moment ...
we arrived, the incredible service and attention to detail were evident. Ralph and Connie worked tirelessly to ensure that we were able to transform the venue into our dream wedding, and it truly felt like it was made just for us.
Throughout the night, Ralph and Connie were always on their toes, making sure that not only my husband and I were taken care of, but the entire wedding party as well. The venue itself is stunning, with breathtaking sunset views that made for the perfect backdrop to our special day. Additionally, the upstairs lodge was a wonderful space for our families to get ready on the day of.
Overall, my husband and I couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out. If you're looking for a truly special and memorable wedding venue, I highly recommend checking out Bayside Event Center and talking to Ralph and Connie. They truly poured so much love and care into our day, and we are forever grateful.

Connie and Ralph were so personable and professional! We never thought that we could afford such an AMAZING venue with top notch vendors from food, dj, bartenders, the whole works!...
It’s BYOB which is great to make sure you can bring home whatever liquor isn’t used. They made us feel so special and wanted to make sure every detail and beyond was perfect for us. We can’t recommend them enough if you want your dream wedding to become your reality!
My husband and I absolutely LOVED having our wedding at Bayside. Under the new ownership, we were the very first couple for Connie and Ralph to host. Connie and Ralph were extremel...
y professional and accommodating to anything we needed. We felt very well-taken care of throughout our special day. Connie was readily available as we transitioned and communicated with me about any questions or concerns. Ralph even took the time to note and tell us afterwards the exact time that we were pronounced husband and wife, which I thought was very personal and tells you that they really want to make your day the best that it can be!
The view alone was what sold us in the beginning of planning. We are from Dallas, and Galveston is a special place for us. We knew we wanted a water/ocean element for our venue and this space fit everything we needed. We love the indoor/outdoor space and the beautiful sunset over the water. It just really fit our personality as a couple, and it turned out more beautiful and perfect than we even imagined in our minds.
We have zero regrets about our venue or the transition of ownership. We cannot wait to see how they transform and update the space. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and we highly recommend a sunset timeframe for a wedding. Our guests loved the casual, fun nature of the venue and everyone raved to me about how much fun they had. Connie & Ralph, we have an absolutely blast at our wedding and we can’t wait to come back!

I LOVED having my wedding here! First of all, the venue is absolutely gorgeous. I was a corona bride so I had to reschedule the wedding twice and Lauren and Scott were so helpful a...
nd understanding throughout the planning process. There was an issue with one of the vendors the day of and they helped resolve the issue afterwards. All of my guests had a great time and there was plenty of room to spread out. The outdoor deck is beautiful for ceremonies and we even did our private final dance out there and it was so memorable. We were able to go down below on a smaller deck for our first look and it was so special to my husband and I. The pictures with the water in the background are my favorite from the day. Overall, if I had to re-plan my wedding all over again, I would still choose Waterfront Event Center!

t on it.. It was more beautiful than we imagined and it was the all inclusive package so I didn't have anything to worry about. We live 5 hours away and had guest come from California and Seattle and they were very impressed with this venue and said they would do their events with them also because everything was just so worth it.. I can't wait to Renew our vows so we can use them again in 5 yrs ..

you decorate the inside venue it turns in that beautiful place that you dreamed! Also, Lauren and Scott were very helpful and they were there for us on our wedding day. We totally recommend this venue for your next event.

autifully. Great space for everything you need. Nice little cubby for the photo booth we had too.

n guided me through every step of the planning and was always available to answer my questions. I can't stress enough how wonderful Lauren and Scott are. My guests loved the venue and enjoyed the food from the caterer Lauren recommended. The Dj represented us very well through the music we chose. This is definitely the venue to go to if you are interested in a waterfront, sunset event. Thanks Lauren and Scott!
Words can't even describe how thankful we are for both Lauren and Scott with Waterfront Event Center. They did everything right and made our special day one we will never forget. F...
rom the beginning, Lauren was easily accessible to answer questions, provide vendor listings to help with planning and make recommendations to ensure our wedding and reception went off without a hitch. We're so thankful for their help all the way through to our reception send-off (Scott even saved the day by providing us with a beautiful backdrop for our photo booth on the day of). Not only is the venue a stunning location for a wedding with its beautiful views of the bay and Moody Gardens, but the management really cares about each bride/groom. They make planning an event of a lifetime simple, and that's not an easy task to accomplish. The level of care was certainly felt! I'd recommend Waterfront Event Center for anyone looking for a personalized small- to medium-sized wedding (up to 125 guests). Wouldn't have changed a single thing!
This venue was absolutely perfect for our Galveston wedding. We had looked at another place on the Strand that was slightly cheaper, but the money was well worth it for what you go...
t coming here. For starters, Scott and Lauren are wonderful! They were as excited for our event as we were and were extremely accommodating to our specific needs. It was a great value when they suggested getting the bartender and server. It was at an additional cost, but all included in the same paperwork, so it made things very efficient and easy. The day-of they were there to help with any of our needs but also just let us do our thing to get set up and ready. The bridal and groom suites were the perfect places to get ready and hang out before the ceremony. Everything went off without any trouble and the location was just perfect for our sunset wedding. Couldn't have asked for better!
My husband actually found this jewel of a venue. Our wedding day was on August 5, 2017. If you are looking for a venue with simplicity; but yet beautiful and overlooking the wate...

ur special wishes were met. The venue was impeccable; I couldn't imagine a more beautiful place for our wedding. I loved that they allowed us to come back to the venue and lay out our designs to see how it would work together in the space. The separate spaces for each party to get ready was awesome! Overall we couldn't have chosen a better place!
Our wedding was absolutely beautiful. Laura and Scott were so accommodating and helped us capture the vision we had for our wedding.

ke sure our wedding was the best day of my life. Lauren found an amazing chef, a great DJ, and by far the best bartenders around. She made sure the wedding party stayed hydrated before the wedding, set most of the outside up for us while we ran errands, mingled with family and friends, kept us on our schedule, and absolutely put in great efforts to make this a magical occasion. Package Prices are very reasonable, and her hospitality is beyond priceless. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a sunset wedding looking over the water, and/or anyone who wants a great venue with great hosts for any occasion. I would give this place ten stars if it let me. Thank you Waterfront Event Center for making our dreams come true!
Enjoyed every moment. I can't wait to go back.
Ok so where do I start?! This venue is absolutely perfect!!! Scott and Lauren are the most amazing, kind, and generous people we've ever met. They truly made all of wishes come...
true. From the beginning my husband and I were having such a hard time finding a venue in our budget that was beautiful and with only a week left till our wedding date. Lauren went out of her way to help us and even found vendors in the area. They made us feel at home and were on our team since day one. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome everything came together perfectly the cleanliness of the event center from the brides room, grooms room, kitchen, restrooms, ballroom area, decorations they even had music for us since we didn't have time to make a Playlist for our reception. Later that night as we arrived to our motel room we noticed that our autistic son had left his blankets at the venue and were in shock as it was already close to 11 pm. I felt horrible having to text if we could go back and search for the blankets and within minutes I got a reply with "of course you can come ". Bottom line there isn't a price tag I wouldn't pay to have another event here. We want to thank them again and forever from the bottom of our hearts for making this day everything in the world for us. Our wedding was a day to remember and the sunset made it feel unrealistic with its natural beauty. We can't wait to come back hopefully for our 1st year anniversary. Look no further Waterfront event center will leave you speechless at the end of the night!
Excellent venue for weddings or parties!!!!!!!!!!!

h to pull this wedding together. I couldn't have done it without them. The service continues until the last guest leaves. Through the service and reception they checked on us and made sure we were ok. I can't say enough kind words about Lauren and her dedication to making us comfortable and making sure we had nothing to worry about but enjoying ourselves. Then there is the venue itself. It is gorgeous. We had the service on the deck as the sun was setting. It was beautiful. Then we moved inside to the beautiful ballroom for dinner and dancing. There was a spacious brides room for us and a just as spacious grooms room. There was plenty of room for everyone to move around. We had the inside plus the two decks for people to move around. If you want a dream wedding with people who truly care about what you want come see Scott and Lauren. This is more than a business to them. They want your dreams to come true.
Thank you guys for helping make our special day even better. Judy was very helpful in anything I needed. I think it's the perfect place to be married.
Best day ever and loved having our ceremony at Waterfront Event Center in Galveston!
This event center helped make my ceremony perfect. Lauren made sure I had everything I needed and on the day of the wedding she was there to help me any way she could.

iful salon allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams. A breathtaking sunset ceremony by the water has no competition over other venues. Very elegant salon, brides room, grooms room, bar, private parking…the list is endless... and on top of this, you add an excellent management team on the hands of the owners, Scott and Lauren Vines. Yes, you won’t be dealing with bureaucracy. They provide a very personable, professional support and guidance along the entire process. They will make sure everything is at the highest standards and will allow you to tailor your wedding the way you want. Very flexible and willing to come up with ideas to make the wedding even better. We had a very specific and unique request for our dinner. We had Bielinas Catering's Chefs doing a paella show live on the covered deck, cooking the paella right there for our guests. Everything was memorable! Thank you Lauren and Scott for all your hard work and for allowing us and all our out-of-the box ideas to come true to have the wedding of our dreams. We consider you guys our friends.
We used the waterfront event center on June 7 for our wedding reception. Our wedding and reception were spectacular down to every last detail. The versatility of having an indoor ...
