g with Ryan closer to the wedding, which was actually quite nice in the pace of our planning. We met with Ryan once before the wedding and he was very engaging and invested in getting the details of the timeline right and understanding the kind of night we wanted. He then sent us the full detailed timeline again the week of the wedding to confirm. The wedding itself was a blast - Ryan was amazingly flexible with some last-minute ceremony needs, really pumped up the guests before we entered the reception, brought drinks to the head table during dinner (so considerate - A+, Ryan!), and even made sure people on the dance floor paid attention when our favorite line dance came on! We would highly recommend BCP!

ndependent DJ, and that was kind of frustrating to us. Our DJ didn't really listen to us as to what we wanted for the dance. It wasn't bad, just not exactly what we wanted. He also played the wrong song during our wedding license signing, during the ceremony, and didn't have the song we requested there. Overall, the DJ experience didn't ruin how we remember our day, but we wanted to remember our DJ as an important part of our day, and we didn't get that. Update: I received a call, not from BCP weddings, but from our specific DJ explaining what happened. He told me why he had made a mistake with our song even though his explanation still would not have fixed the incorrect song. He also explained to me his connection to BCP Weddings, but this still doesn't resolve our issue with him not being on their website and us feeling blindsided. He also told us how he thought that the reception went well, yet failed to respond to us saying how he didn't listen to us for the music we wanted to play. The last thing that he said that really bothered us was that Jake, from BCP asked if Steve, our DJ could call us to explain this and ask us to change the review or delete it. This is not okay to us as it wasn't a way to reach out and see how they could be better, but rather a way to get us to change our review.

k before our wedding after asking Nic about him 2 times. He was very nice when we met with him and seemed to know what he was talking about. At the wedding the music was good and he listened to all of our requests, but he did not know how to set up the equipment. My brother in-law who went to music school had to help him get everything set up properly! If it wasn't for him I don't know if he ever would have figured it out.

self was a nice enough guy and did help with kind of the agenda, if you will, for the reception. We had little interaction leading up to the wedding day having only one short conversation a week prior. That is not necessarily bad. He did show up in plenty of time the day of our wedding with a helper and began set up. The reason for the lower ratings is for a few things. 1. There were some gaps with ceremony music and with speeches and overall flow in some areas that made it a bit awkward. Everything can’t be perfect I understand that, but these were gaps that others noticed and made comment of. 2. We had multiple guests tell us later that night and even the next day that any songs that were requested they were told would not be played until the bride was on the dance floor. Well as the bride and groom, naturally many guests requested our conversation therefore most of our night was spent visiting and thanking our guests for coming. Had I known in advance it would be this way I would have given full permission to play anything requested when requested. Maybe I should have known this?? Im not sure. Lastly there was a small incident a couple parents let us know about while the DJ and his helper were setting up for the ceremony. It was only some family and the wedding party present at the time but there was some frustration with set up not happening appropriately I guess and this frustration was expressed with use of a cuss word in the presence of several children so I had some less then pleased parents so I did go to Jimmy to make sure everything was ok and he said yes it was fine he just was frustrated with set up going a bit choatic so. I think Jimmy knows how to give a good party and all the song selections are there, I just wish I had maybe known ahead of time about song requests and maybe I should have discussed the flow of songs and speeches a bit more ahead of time so I will take some ownership in that. I would just encourage anyone that uses them to have clear conversations ahead of time about any expectations or preferences with song requests/selections and flow of overall things.

quested a mini amplifier for a guitar the morning of the wedding and he was able to bring one without hesitation. Our dance floor was packed all night and never once empty. Any song requests that were made he was able to do and he made the party a blast!

o can't stop talking about how great the DJ was and how packed the dance floor was. We had a wide range of age groups at our wedding and he did a fantastic job to make sure that everyone had a song that they could dance to. Even at the beginning of the night, Nic came up and offered to grab myself and my husband drinks - not his job, but he was there for WHATEVER we needed. He also worked with my friends to coordinate a 'flash mob' which was awesome!

a good DJ was #1 in my book and BCP (and Nic especially) didn't disappoint! He worked hard to keep our dance floor jammin' and he was easy to work with. He stayed engaged the entire time he was DJ and danced along to the music. Also, he helped us get our powerpoint picture slide show up and running last minute and made sure it went smoothly the whole time. Honestly, BCP was FANTASTIC. Book them!

He created an amazing father/ daughter dance mix that was a huge surprise to everyone in attendance (the groom included!). g. The site where you choose your songs is not great to navigate on, but it is really helpful in helping to plan your day! It basically gives your must haves etc. but ours was not followed. We put a lot of time and effort into planning and we basically only had first dance songs and entrance song played. Our DJ did not do the dollar dance - so we missed out on a lot of honeymoon money (makes me sounds greedy but we spent $30,000 on our wedding)..especially since we had an open bar all night. We also had to request to do the garter and bouquet toss at the end of the night, so that almost got skipped. Our DJ did get the dance going which was really important, but there were still a lot in which they missed the mark.

You could tell he could feel a crowd and see what they wanted to hear because there wasn't one time the dance floor was empty after our first dance. He kept things moving and ended up being one of the few DJ's I've seen not try to make it about himself or crack jokes in an attempt to be a comedian for the night. He also made sure to sit down with us two weeks before the wedding and again a few days before to make sure everything was going great. He always had time. We decided to mesh a few songs together and he had no problem getting that done before our big day. There's no doubt that if I'm asked to recommend a DJ, there's only one name on my list and that's Nic from BCP.

As such, the MOB and myself were each doing research of vendors for the wedding day and then providing our findings, to allow the bride and groom to make the final decision. One of the vendors I was assigned was the DJ. Not knowing where to begin, I asked a friend, whose daughter’s wedding had taken place the year prior. She didn’t hesitate to recommend BCP and now, neither would I.
