Bear Creek Retreat

We had a perfect experience at Bear Creek Retreat for our wedding. Caroline and her team are wonderfully communicative, they checked in on us to make sure everything was going smoothly, and the venue itself was flawless. We had an outstanding stay and would recommend Bear Creek Retreat to anyone looking for a perfect outdoor wedding venue.

Perfect location for our DYI wedding! The main house is as comfy as home and is so big! The grounds are just beautiful and the owner and manager are lovely people and so easy to communicate with! 5 stars, without question!

If you are looking for a venue with the most Amazing owner, then look no further! Caroline and her assistant Alison are beyond Great and anytime I had a question I could go directly to Caroline herself and would receive an immediate response. Every guest complimented my Husband and I on how beautiful of a venue and location we picked. We rented the cottage and the main house for all 2 nights and 3 days and for the price, it’s unbeatable! After the wedding my husband and I stayed in the cottage and since I had family from out of state there was no need to rent hotels. Rooms are spacious, and beds are very comfortable. Thank you so much Caroline you made this DIY wedding and process very easy for me.

I wish I could give Bear Creek Retreat 100 stars. Absolutely amazing, the two quotes of the trip are "I wish we could live here", "I don't want to leave" and my personal favorite "You made my dream wedding come true" Caroline went above and beyond to accommodate our wedding, we used the cottage as a bride and groom sanctuary and had the kids and families stay at the main house. Everyone had so much fun, from the kids climbing trees to the adults dancing on the beautiful dance floor/patio and everything in between. The cottage is a dream come true, complete with private outdoor shower and relaxing garden tub. It was private enough to be private but close enough to still be part of the party.  The main house was absolutely beautiful, the porch on the front was one of the favorite hangout spots. The inside of the house was perfect for the 10 people we had staying there, we even used the kitchen to cook for the wedding. The front yard is set up beautifully for a ceremony, complete with butterfly gardens that added some magic to our event. We were able to have about 50 people there comfortably. And we had our reception at the back of the house where everyone had more than enough elbow room. There was room for yard games, seating for dinner and still room for standing tables! There's even a parking lot in the back where we had over 20 cars and still had room for more. It's close enough to downtown Austin you can go see the sights, have fun and not break the bank on an Uber/Lyft back to the property.  Great venue, great location, great host, great experience. Absolutely perfect! We're already planning a family reunion for next year!
