Bear Creek Retreat is a wedding venue located ten minutes from downtown Austin in Manchaca, TX, nestled on ten acres of lush landscaping in the Hill Country. Weddings at Bear Creek Retreat include the facilities for three days and two nights. This will allow you to prepare for your wedding and host your family and friends for a celebratory weekend. A deposit and signed contract are required to book a date.
Outdoor Wedding includes rental of main house and grounds for three days, two nights. Cottage rental (two-night minimum) is separate and can be discussed when booking. You can check our calendar for available dates.

expensive vendors and 20 page contracts full of stringent rules, Caroline is flexible and always kind and extremely communicative. She truly cares about her clients and she went above and beyond to ensure that we had the wedding of our dreams. It's a dog friendly venue which was a big deal for us & allowed us to have our fur babies as part of the ceremony. Attached are just pictures guests took on their phones, but even these snapshots show how beautiful this venue is! What I love about Bear Creek is that the property is gorgeous (landscaping and flowers are impeccable) and you have total flexibility on decor to make it fit exactly what you want. Moreover, it comes with the main house for multiple nights which we used to house some of our wedding party and the cottage is a little slice of heaven. If you're searching for a venue, look no further. Caroline is the best venue owner in all of Austin!

y to Caroline herself and would receive an immediate response. Every guest complimented my Husband and I on how beautiful of a venue and location we picked. We rented the cottage and the main house for all 2 nights and 3 days and for the price, it’s unbeatable! After the wedding my husband and I stayed in the cottage and since I had family from out of state there was no need to rent hotels. Rooms are spacious, and beds are very comfortable. Thank you so much Caroline you made this DIY wedding and process very easy for me.

Caroline went above and beyond to accommodate our wedding, we used the cottage as a bride and groom sanctuary and had the kids and families stay at the main house. Everyone had so much fun, from the kids climbing trees to the adults dancing on the beautiful dance floor/patio and everything in between.
The cottage is a dream come true, complete with private outdoor shower and relaxing garden tub. It was private enough to be private but close enough to still be part of the party.
The main house was absolutely beautiful, the porch on the front was one of the favorite hangout spots. The inside of the house was perfect for the 10 people we had staying there, we even used the kitchen to cook for the wedding.
The front yard is set up beautifully for a ceremony, complete with butterfly gardens that added some magic to our event. We were able to have about 50 people there comfortably. And we had our reception at the back of the house where everyone had more than enough elbow room. There was room for yard games, seating for dinner and still room for standing tables!
There's even a parking lot in the back where we had over 20 cars and still had room for more.
It's close enough to downtown Austin you can go see the sights, have fun and not break the bank on an Uber/Lyft back to the property.
Great venue, great location, great host, great experience. Absolutely perfect!

ements to our day and did not want to be rushed and we stayed the night and following day on site. The cottage was perfect for the grooms quarters wedding day and my husband and I stayed there after the wedding while our bridal party slept in the main house. Carolyn the owner is so kind and easy to work with as well! We got to create our dream wedding on the property and on our budget! It was perfect in every way.
