We had the most magical day & weekend here at the Bear Mountain Inn! We wanted to celebrate our relationship for an entire weekend, and the inn really provided that. We had the most amazing time the whole weekend, celebrating our love with all our favorite people. All the staff was so welcoming, helpful, and kind throughout our whole experience. They answered any and all of my questions and helped make our wedding day our dream come true! This venue was a perfect combo of rustic & elegant, and allowed for any and all fun personalized details. Would recommend for any loving couple to tie the knot!

Incredible Venue & Even better Staff! We are so happy that we chose to have our Wedding Weekend at Bear Mountain Inn. We had a 75 person wedding on the lawn and a 25 person rehearsal dinner in the barn- both events were stunning and our guests raved about the setting, the food and friendly service. The owners are wonderful people and the coordinator Cassie made sure ever detail was executed to perfection & on time. While seamlessly checking in with us and our guests to ensure we were taken care of, smiling and had full glasses. The Inn itself is so lovely and felt like home for the weekend, the breakfast is incredible. We had the most beautiful wedding weekend at Bear Mountain Inn + Barn! We had right around 65 guests and this venue couldn't be more perfect for a small or large wedding. My favorite part about planning our wedding at Bear Mountain Inn + Barn was getting the chance to work with Cassie, the amazing Wedding Coordinator. Cassie goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for the Bride, Groom, Bridal Party and families/guests - we love her! Our entire wedding weekend, from Rehearsal night to Ceremony to Reception would not have been so perfect without Cassie, Nick + Jessica! Thank you all so much!!!

Bear Mountain Inn + Barn in Waterford, ME is easily the best wedding venue to get married at! From the beautiful ceremony backdrop to the incredible barn and everything in between. Nick and Jessica made our families feel at home the entire weekend staying at the inn with THE BEST BREAKFAST every morning. The inn itself has so many beautiful rooms for your friends and family to stay in during your wedding weekend. Cassie, as the wedding coordinator, did an absolutely incredible job creating the wedding of our dreams. We did not hire a wedding planner, and Cassie made sure to have herself available via email with all of our questions and concerns being answered far before our wedding date. She made sure that someone was on site when all of our rentals were being delivered, so when we arrived everything was already in place. On our wedding day, we were back and forth with the weather and actually moved all of the chairs inside to get married in the barn (which was a beautiful set up). However, once our guests had moved inside, the clouds started to move away, and we decided (about 1 minute before we were supposed to start the ceremony) that we wanted to do it outside. Instead of moving all of the chairs, Cassie ushered all of our 180 guests outside and they stood as they watched us get married in the sun. It was an amazing ceremony and our guests still talk about how exciting it was run outside to celebrate us. Our number of guests was too large to fit in the barn, so we rented a tent for dinner and then did the dancing portion in the barn. Cassie helped everything flow flawlessly throughout the entire night. Bear Mountain is the type of venue that makes you feel like family and so so loved. You are their top priority during your wedding weekend and they bend over backwards to give you what you ask for and make your wedding dreams come true. I truly could not have picked a better venue. We are excited to come back and visit over and over again! WE LOVE YOU BEAR MOUNTAIN INN!! Amazing vibes all around.

My husband (!!!) and I just got married at the Bear Mountain Inn this past weekend and it was literally the most incredible wedding in the world. Nick and Jessica go above and beyond for their couples and Cassie is an incredible day of coordinator that makes you feel like you're at home on your big day. It was pouring rain all day on Saturday and the whole BMI team made our day so special. We decided early on to have our ceremony in the beautiful barn on site and it was literally the most beautiful set up I've ever seen at a wedding. We couldn't get over how beautiful everything looked. It is such an intimate and beautiful memory that is burned in our brains for life. Our wedding was for about 160ish people so we rented a tent to do our reception outside - this couldn't have been an easier process and the tent looked like a fairy tale out on the yard. When I tell you think is the most incredible wedding venue on the face of the Earth we so mean it. Every single moment our wedding was so perfect and it was really was made possible by the team at the Bear Mountain Inn. Nick, Jessica and Cassie + team we LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH and legit cannot wait to come back in the winter to hang out and party with you guys. Our wedding at the Bear Mountain Inn was an absolute dream. Brian, Julie and Cassie really went above and beyond to have our wedding weekend be the best weekend of our lives and they succeeded! It's such a picturesque location and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The Inn, guest rooms and the grounds are treated with such care and is really a testament to the staff and owners. Bear Mountain Inn could not have been more perfect for our October wedding! So perfect that this was the first venue we saw and booked it on the spot. Yes, the grounds, inn, barn are incredible BUT what made this an extra special experience was having the owners Julie and Brian and Wedding planner Cassie there to help with all things wedding and welcome you as if you were family. From the moment we stepped on site for our wedding weekend we were relaxed and felt that we had nothing left to worry about. We will cherish this place forever and plan to come visit as often as we can!

Bear Mountain deserves 6 out of 5 stars. When my now Wife and I went to see the venue, we were blown away by how beautiful it was. We also recognized how kind and personable the owners and staff were. Brian and Julie are amazing. It is obvious how much they care about getting to know you and how to make your wedding weekend special. We know we can always go back at any time and they would welcome us like family. With the amazing venue and amazing hosts also comes Cassie. Cassie was there with us through the whole planning process, giving amazing advice whenever we needed. Our guests still talk about how great she was the day of the wedding with ushering the crowds and making everything go smoothly. She is a invaluable perk that comes with the venue. Bear Mountain also provided a list of regular vendors to the venue for catering, flowers, desserts, etc., making it easy to choose and making life much easier during the planning process. You absolutely will not regret or second-guess booking this venue. Just do it!!!!

We got married at Bear Mountain Inn in July of 2022 and our wedding was an absolute dream. We planned our wedding from out of state and in 6 months and Brian, Julie and Cassie were so helpful along the way. When ever we had any questions or needed a recommendation for a vendor, they were always happy to help! They made sure our wedding day was special and went smoothly. The venue is beautiful, the views are just breathtaking and the Inn is so charming and comfy (we can’t wait to go back!). The experience as a whole was incredible and we’re so happy we were able to get married there.

Bear Mountain is a really special venue! Cassie, Julie, Brian, and the whole staff will make you feel so at home and supported. Our wedding parties and immediate families stayed with us at the Inn and everyone agreed it was the perfect getaway. Between boating on the lake, sitting around the fire, and hot-tubbing, we all managed to relax and enjoy ourselves amidst all the excitement and last-minute to-do's. The Bear Mountain Inn & Barn was a dream venue for our August 2022 wedding. We loved having some of our family members stay at the Inn on the days leading up to the wedding. Bear Mountain Inn’s stunning location, incredible amenities, and most caring staff make for a true fairytale wedding. We recently got married down by the water at Bear Mountain Inn in June 2022, and we could not be happier with how everything flowed. From checking in, to setting up, to communication, and overall coordination, Brian, Julie, and Cassie are just the best! They made us (and our wedding party) feel like family immediately upon getting to the site. The Inn is wonderful- clean, comfortable, and everything from furniture to the little details are so cute and really emphasize the beauty of Maine. Oh and did I mention that the included breakfast spread is absolutely top notch! We loved being there so much we’re already planning our next weekend stay at the Inn. Many of our family and friends all agreed that the Bear Mountain Inn team put on one of the best weddings they ever witnessed. We would highly recommend Bear Mountain Inn if you’re considering wedding venues.

Our May 21st wedding here was an absolute dream! My husband and I booked BMI without even visiting in person...we just had a feeling it was exactly what we were imagining and man oh man it was above and beyond what we could have even hoped. Not only do your closest friends and family get to stay on property with you all weekend long, the venue itself is absolutely stunning - you don't need to bring much in to decorate the spaces since the natural beauty shines through. We had dinner in a tent and danced in the barn and it was such a natural and fun flow! Julie and Brian are the absolute best people and Cassie was so incredibly helpful with the planning process. We can't recommend it enough and are secretly hoping all our friends get married there so we can go back agains soon!

My husband and I got married at Bear Mountain Inn in June 2022 and it was absolutely perfect! Brian and Julie (the owners) and Cassie (the wedding coordinator), were extremely helpful throughout the entire process, from signing, to planning, to the big day. Everyone at Bear Mountain Inn was always kind, professional, and responsive. The venue itself is beautiful and offers guests the opportunity to truly enjoy themselves while at your wedding – the rooms are cozy, nicely decorated, and clean, guests have access to kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards, and there are wool blankets and smores kits for use at the fire pits on cooler nights. Breakfast was also delicious, with a wide variety of options. Every last detail at the inn was carefully considered, and guests even get a pack of cookies to welcome them at check-in. The Inn offers a list of preferred vendors when you sign with them, and we used a lot of businesses off of this list – we found all of them to be wonderful to work with. On our wedding day itself, we didn’t need to worry about too many details, as Cassie helped ensure things stayed on track. Overall, it was an amazing venue and we had an unforgettable wedding with our family and friends!

I think we knew deep down that BMI was our venue as soon as we found it online, but the site visit was just the icing on the cake! We didn't look at any other venues - BMI was it! We planned our wedding in 9 short months but the BMI team made it fun and removed any stress from the experience. The wedding weekend was simply perfect, and as soon as we arrived we were greeted as if we were old friends. We were truly able to relax and soak in all the magical moments the weekend provided. I wish I could give Bear Mountain Inn ten stars. This was truly a dream venue for my husband and I. The rustic barn, picturesque lake, and beautiful Maine woods was everything that we were looking for. But beyond that, what truly makes this place special, is the staff. From day one of the wedding process, my husband and I lived by the mantra "choose people you want to work with" and we certainly did that here. Brian and Julie, the owners, made us feel right at home from our very first visit and were present throughout our whole wedding weekend making sure everything went according to plan. And Cassie, the wedding coordinator, is one of a kind. She answered every question we had quickly and informatively and was the best quick thinking, problem solving person by our side on our wedding day. I can't say enough good things about this place and it's staff. If you are looking for a Maine wedding venue with woods, water, and incredible staff, look no further. Can't wait to go back every year and relive the memories!

Getting married at Bear Mountain was a dream. Cassie, Julie, and Brian were amazing to work with, throughout the whole planning process. Cassie would answer our (MANY) emails in seconds! They made us and our guests feel completely at home and pampered us to no end during our wedding weekend. One of my favorite memories from our wedding weekend was the morning of the wedding, sitting in the dining room with our family/inn guests, eating the most delicious breakfast, while Julie and Brian were cooking and serving us in the kitchen. Our wedding day didn’t go quite as planned (does it ever?!). It rained and our dreams of getting married by their beautiful lakeside did not come to fruition. Instead, we got married in the stunning and elegant barn, and it was even more perfect than we could’ve imagined.

Having our wedding at Bear Mountain Inn was simply a dream come true. From the moment we booked our wedding weekend, all the way through our weekend, working with Julie, Brian, and Cassie was nothing short of amazing. Each and every one of the staff members at Bear Mountain Inn go above and beyond to make sure you and your guests are taken care of, and take the stress of "the little things" away from you. We couldn't have picked a better place for our wedding on October 30th. Cassie, Brian & Julie are just amazing and went above and beyond to make our weekend one for the books. The place is absolutely stunning and the barn was the perfect setting for our woodsy-chic wedding. The weather didn't cooperate on the day of but didn't even notice. Our guests raved about BMI and Brian and Julie's hospitality all weekend (especially the cozy and delicious daily breakfast). Cassie made sure we didn't have to think about a single detail and kept everything running perfectly smoothly. She even found my phone in the rain! My husband and I had our wedding there in October of 2021 and it was absolutely perfect. Brian and Julie have created something so special at Bear Mountain Inn and we are so happy our family and friends were able to experience this place. The whole BMI team is wonderful to work with. We can't wait for the Winter Pub to open up - the pretzel there is to die for!

Our family attended our son’s wedding earlier this month at the Bear Mountain Inn in Waterford, Maine, and we can’t begin to say enough great things about the accommodations; the venue, facilities, and grounds; and the warm hospitality shown us by Julie and Brian, Josh, and the rest of the staff at the Inn. The historic Inn and expansive grounds are absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect place for a picture perfect wedding. While the setting is idyllic, quiet, and peaceful (we could hear the loons on the lake from our rooms), there was also much for us to do — walking trails along the lake and through the woods; canoes and kayaks to use on the lake; fire pits for guests to sit and linger, relax, and visit. There were even lawn games! It all made the long weekend as much a vacation getaway as it was an event. The rooms at the Inn were first rate - quiet, comfortable, beautifully updated and stylishly appointed. Each is different, but all have retained their historic New England charm with all the modern comforts. Spacious, gorgeous bathrooms, modern (quiet!) heating/ac, gas fireplaces, refrigerators, luxury bedding and towels. The little details throughout the Inn were nice as well — charming common areas stocked with water and other helpful amenities, plus spaces indoors and out for guests to kick back and relax. And the huge, made-from-scratch New England breakfasts really topped off the whole experience. In these times I also feel it is important to mention how well the staff addressed COVID safety, sanitation, and protection. Everyone was vaccinated (in addition to the wedding party and all guests) and the vendors also wore masks when interacting with the guests. Everything was spotless and well sanitized. With breezes off the lake and an abundance of fresh air, the outdoor spaces afforded plenty of room for anyone who wanted to maintain a little more distance. Likewise, indoor spaces were roomy and never felt crowded. Our family is quite careful and we felt very safe - almost like a little respite from the pandemic. Our son reports that the Inn facilitated and coordinated every aspect of the rehearsal, ceremony and reception (basically like having an on-site wedding planner), and that he and his new wife were completely satisfied. Other reviewers seem to concur.. The barn itself was wonderful — "rustic but elegant," and the attached pub/bar area provided all the additional facilities needed for an event (great bar area, prep kitchen, attractive restrooms, etc). The existing decor, including the amazing chandeliers, would have been enough without any extras, though there are some great optional items to use if desired (our son and daughter-in-law opted to have Josh hang a couple of the striking sheer draperies). Josh did an outstanding job personally directing every detail of the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception - where to walk and when, what to expect throughout - and it all went like clockwork. We had a lakeside ceremony with perfect weather, but no doubt Josh would have had us swiftly under cover if needed. The Bear Mountain Inn really is a wonderful place for any kind of getaway. For us, as the parents of the groom and guests at the wedding, we can’t imagine that a couple could find a better place to get married and host their friends and family. Julie and Brian have created a truly magical place.

Bear Mountain Inn was the absolute perfect place for our ceremony and reception. It was so special to be able to share our weekend with our family and friends, with many of them staying on-site for a "summer camp" feel, as one of our guests put it! We loved the extra time this afforded to hang out with our guests before and after the wedding, since the day-of was definitely a bit of a blur! We couldn't have found a more beautiful venue - in the months leading up to our day, my fiance and I quickly realized that we could do absolutely nothing to the decor of the barn and still have it be incredible. We opted to add some drapes to the barn for our reception and were so pleased at how it turned out. Throughout the entire planning process, Josh & co. were flexible, helpful, and informative. They helped us with each one of our specific questions, with everything from "How long is the walk down the aisle?" to "Can we use this piece of decor we saw in your Instagram photos?" It's also really wonderful that they include so much in their contract - it was great to not have to worry about hiring bar services or renting things like linens, tables, and chairs! Bear Mountain Inn is the perfect rustic-chic location for your big day. It also helps that they have such close relationships with many of the other vendors you'll need, so they can give great advice about other pros to round out your day!

I truly cannot say enough about how much we loved the Bear Mountain inn for our wedding. My husband and I have been there plenty of times just to stay at the beautiful inn, but having it filled with our family and friends really took it to the next level. Cassie was so wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure my stress level was as low as possible the entire weekend. The property is so beautiful and you won’t regret it! We had our wedding at the Bear Mountain Inn in July of 2021 and it was literally a dream come true. Bottom line up front is this is THE place to have your wedding. The owners, Brian and Julie, have created an idyllic bed and breakfast located on a gorgeous piece of land overlooking a lake. It is a breathtaking place and they are warm welcoming hosts who made us feel like the entire inn was our personal home the weekend of our wedding. Equally as important they are total professionals who, together with their day of coordinator, Cassie, made the wedding stress free. Cassie is one of the most competent and professional people I have ever worked with, and she worked with us from the day we chose them to host our wedding to make sure everything would be perfect. The result was that the weekend of the wedding everything ran so smoothly we never had to worry about anything other than having a good time. A month later our guests are still talking about how much fun they had and how beautiful the venue was.

This venue was everything we could've ever asked for. Aesthetically, it is stunning - our ceremony was on a beautiful patio overlooking the lake, and the reception was in the barn that keeps its rustic charm while having modern amenities (heat pumps in particular, to keep warm on cold autumn nights or cool for summer weddings!). Our bridal party stayed at the inn for the weekend and they have not stopped raving about the stay. Each room is unique and comfortable, and the included breakfast is amazing. The best part of the experience was the team. We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid and they could not have been more kind and understanding, not only helping us find a new date but in fact opening up their wedding season earlier than usual. The owners, Brian and Julie, have done a superb job at making you feel at home while at the Inn. It's no surprise that in some of our other visits, there have been numerous couples visiting who had previously married there, as they truly make it feel like a big family. The wedding coordinator, Cassie, was thoughtful and attentive throughout the entire process, and along with Josh were instrumental in keeping things organized and stress-free for us on our big day. We cannot recommend them enough!

Julie, Brian & Cassie connected with us several times this year to coordinate our wedding during a very tough time. Our guests also raved about the rooms, the breakfast and the experience at BMI. We all are “lifers” at BMI and can’t wait to visit at least once a year and make more great memories. Best Maine Wedding Venue!!! Bear Mountain Inn is the most amazing venue! The owners are incredible, the Inn is beautiful, and their wedding coordinator is so great to work with! You won’t be disappointed choosing to get married here! My husband and I had the most amazing wedding here and will cherish the memories for the rest of our lives! Our guests still keep talking about how amazing the Venue was! It rained during our ceremony time, so we had our ceremony in the Barn and it was just perfect! Having that beautiful Barn as a back up for when it rains is really amazing. It’s a great indoor ceremony spot and their outdoor ceremony spot is even better!

Bear Mountain Inn is such a special place. My husband and I were lucky enough to have a wedding here on October 10th and it can only be described as magical. Cassie, Julie, and Brian became fast friends and we look forward to staying in touch for many years to come. Our guests said it was the most beautiful venue they’ve ever been to and the experience is luxurious. No detail is spared! The rooms are incredibly comfortable and lavish. The barn is gorgeous with chandelier details and a perfect layout for dinner and dancing. The grounds are peaceful and we even heard the most beautiful bird calls during our vows. It’s an experience we’ll cherish forever. Their team of vendors is five stars and includes the best that Maine has to offer. We would book them again in a heartbeat and are already planning a weekend trip back!

Julie & Brian are two of the loveliest, hardest-working humans we have ever met. From the moment you step on the property at Bear Mountain Inn you can feel the immense amount of love they pour into every minute detail. Cassie - our wedding coordinator - was a DREAM, handling everything leading up to our wedding, to the big day itself, making everything seamless. I was a COVID bride who had intentions of having a 200 person wedding which eventually turned into an intimate 40 something person celebration. Wedding planning is stressful enough, so when the pandemic hit I had all the questions every other Bride had - what will happen to our day? Will this still be happening? How will our venue react and how do we navigate from here? It took one phone call with Julie & Brian to realize we had hit the jackpot. They heard all our concerns, validated our feelings, and made sure we knew they were on our side to work with and be as flexible as possible. You can't imagine the relief we felt after that call knowing no matter what we decided to do, they would work with us so we could have the day we wanted. And let me tell you, we had the most magical wedding WEEKEND (another huge reason we chose BMI - it is very fun to stay/party with your closest people who are all staying at the same location). I can't stop reveling in our day and all the people who made it possible. My now husband and I got married at Bear Mountain Inn on 10/26/2019 and it was the absolutely best decision we made when it came to our wedding day. The entire venue is BEAUTIFUL. The outdoor space is the perfect backdrop for the wedding pictures (that speaks for itself) - a total fairytale setting. The barn is equally as beautiful. My friends and family could not stop talking about all the elegant details. The venue is beautiful, but that is not even the best part. When you book Bear Mountain Inn as a wedding venue, you are booking not just a wedding venue but a once in a lifetime experience. You get to spend a weekend (not just your wedding day) with your friends and family in the most beautiful and relaxing location you can imagine. How often do you get to spend a weekend with all your family and best friends in the same place? Julie and Brian (owners of the Inn) and the entire crew at Bear Mountain Inn truly make you feel like you are staying in a home away from home. I am still dreaming about the delicious homemade breakfast we enjoyed every morning. Julie, Brian, and Bear Mountain Inn Crew (a special shout out to Jamie and Cassie) were so kind and attentive to every detail. My friends and family are still talking about how much they loved spending time with this group. We didn't worry about anything for the entire weekend and we owe that the the people that come with the wedding package. Seriously, don't think twice about it and book Bear Mountain Inn. You WILL NOT regret it.

I don't have all of the words to truly describe how magical it was to be married at Bear Mountain Inn. Brian and Julie are some of the warmest, friendliest, inviting people I have ever met and it has been such a pleasure working with them. They made all of our family and friends that stayed there feel like they were at home. 2 months later and the thing that people are still talking about is how much they loved Brian and Julie and they can't wait to go back and visit them (and their pups). They have put so much work into this venue, pictures don't even begin to do it justice. I kind of want to move in (it is that great). Not only is it one of the most stunning Inn's I have ever seen, this place is cozy, relaxing and everything you would want a wedding venue/getaway spot to be. I can't say enough good things about this place. Do yourself a favor and book a tour and then immediately book this place as your wedding venue. We just adore you, Brian and Julie! This is a absolutely wonderful venue owned and operated by a absolutely wonderful team. Brian and Julie (the owners) were friendly, on hands, and beyond helpful in the planning of our wedding. Cassie (wedding coordinator) patiently answered all our crazy questions, walked us through planning our big day and made the big day completely relaxing for us and the family we had staying at the Inn. Accommodations are beautiful, the staff is friendly and fun. Our number one goal for our wedding was to create an atmosphere that felt like an extension of our home to our family and friends. From the moment we toured the property with Brian, Julie and Cassie right up to over a month after the wedding - it was been nothing but just that! We honestly can't wait to go back again and again. Foolish NOT to book with them!!!

Where to begin? Bear Mountain Inn was a picture perfect place for our wedding. I knew I wanted our wedding to be in a barn and had looked at a few other venues before visiting Bear Mountain. There are many beautiful barns in Maine, but none with the overall package that Bear Mountain provides. From the moment I drove onto the property I knew this was the place. Seeing the chandeliers in the barn, touring the inn, and meeting the owners just sealed the deal. I was sold in 15 minutes, how could I say no to this gorgeous property? The property is a perfect mixture of rustic, modern, and elegant. Along the way, Cassie, the wedding coordinator, went above and beyond to answer all my planning questions. Julie and Brian treated everyone like family and were present the whole weekend to make sure everything went perfectly. Our wedding was literally a dream come true and it all has to do with Bear Mountain Inn. We had the whole property for 2 nights which made it incredible to have our wedding party and immediate family there with us through it all. Bear Mountain Inn has many beautiful places for getting ready, taking pictures, and spending time with loved ones. More importantly, the customer service and hospitality made us feel like we were in a fairytale. Our family and friends are still talking about how amazing our wedding was. We had people tell us that have been to numerous weddings that this was the best wedding they have ever been to, even better than their own! I cannot recommend this venue enough. The cost is well worth it, as your wedding day memories are priceless. You will not be disappointed. All the little details do not matter so much, but people will certainly remember the venue and the service. I only wish we could relive it all again as it truly was a magical experience at Bear Mountain Inn!

We were first struck by Cassie’s energy, and then intoxicated by Brian and Julie’s enthusiasm. Their warmth and vision blew us away as we toured during the remodel. That vision was fully realized as BMI is truly spectacular! This venue brings together all the elements we love- water, woods, mountains and glorious rustic chic decor. The competition was no match for the opportunity to spend our weekend at such a beautiful venue with wonderful people. Even booking nearly two years out, we found at every contact point that BMI was available to answer our questions, even odd and specific ones. They responded quickly and professionally, and conveyed a care and attention to detail. Cassie impressed us with her organization and eye for detail, helping us through elements that even our dedicated planning had missed. Brian and Julie are involved in every aspect of the operation and always offer personal greetings. They are warm, wonderful, and interesting people you will be happy to stay with. The venue itself is incomparable. The rooms are gorgeous, charming, and beautifully appointed. The Barn is beautiful and the chandeliers a beloved detail of ours. The layout and design is conducive to every component of an event. Each space is so distinct that you turn a corner or go through a door and enter another world, as equipped and comfortable as the one you just left. Breakfasts: amazing, unique, made to order, personal requests honored! It would be difficult to overstate the dining experience. The trails, dock, lake, hammocks, chairs, fields, patio, and fireplaces/s’mores stations are wonderful spots to relax, take pictures, or play games. We even jumped in the lake in our wedding attire! There were more spaces than we could reasonably use for gorgeous photo opportunities. The photographers and our guests raved about how impressed they were with every small detail of the property. The day after our wedding, we made use of the massage cottage, allowing us to completely unwind after days of activity. From helping us unload our cars the moment we arrived, to their personal sendoff, Brian, Julie, and Cassie helped every step of the way. Cleanup after the event was rapid and complete; we had brought an incredible amount of décor but found everything boxed up for easy loading following the reception. The efficiency and experience of the staff prevented me from worrying about a thing on the big day- ensuring that we ate, keeping us to time, and presenting us with our first drinks after we tied the knot (OMG, the bartenders made our signature cocktails PERFECTLY!) During ceremony prep, my husband was having a slight panic regarding lanterns. Julie stepped in, calmly guiding and then taking over the process to ensure that it looked amazing. Cassie exceeded all our expectations and kept the show on the rails - helping us craft our timeline, guiding us from scene to scene effortlessly- and did it all with a smile! We had an unorthodox twist on the cake ceremony- intending to share mini whoopie pies. Cassie recognized that we had no tools or plans and immediately collaborated with our photographers to put together a “Lady and the Tramp” inspired scene. It worked out perfectly, and we are so grateful for her ingenuity. Bear Mountain Inn is an incredible venue - quiet, stunning, easily accessible to Portland. We couldn’t be happier with the choice to have our wedding here, and felt supported and cared for at every turn. We are so excited to return!

FIVE STARS?? MORE LIKE TEN! Where do I begin? We just had our wedding at Bear Mountain Inn on September 28th. We knew all along that the experience was going to be great, as we know the owners and have spent a lot of time there helping clean the property. But to experience being a guest and hosting our wedding there was a better experience then we could have imagined. First of all, Brian and Julie are two of the best people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. They treat everyone like family. You feel like you are visiting relatives whenever you drop by or stay. The level of care and consideration that goes into that Inn is beyond description. From the child size robe they left for my son, to the umbrellas that just appeared during the sudden ceremony shower, to having leftovers from our catered meal waiting for us in our room after the reception- we were and are continually impressed with their superb hospitality. Cassie, the on site coordinator, was amazing and worked hard to execute the most important day of our lives. The amount of stress that the staff at Bear Mountain Inn relieved from us during our weekend is beyond words. Besides the amazing people, the grounds of the Inn are beautiful and the scenery is breathtaking. The rooms are cozy and clean, and did I mention the breakfast?? Best blueberry pancakes I've ever had. And I think that was a unanimous opinion from all of my guests. The only bad part of the weekend was that it had to end. Thank you Bear Mountain Inn for creating such a beautiful place for people to spend with their family and friends. It was the best weekend of my life and I will never forget it.

If you're looking for a rustic barn wedding venue (with a beautiful water view!), where you can spend your entire wedding weekend surrounded by those you love most, than look no further than the Bear Mountain Inn. We cannot say enough positive things in this posting to convey our appreciation for all that Julie and Brian (the owners) and Cassie (their Wedding Coordinator) did to make our wedding weekend simply perfect. Their thoughtfulness, responsiveness and attention to detail helped us to enjoy our wedding planning process from start to finish. The best part about working with Julie, Brian and Cassie is that they make every single planning moment fun and memorable. They make you feel like your wedding is the only wedding they are working on and while you are there for your wedding weekend they make you feel like the Bear Mountain Inn is your home away from home. Where do I even begin with how AMAZING this venue was! We loved how personal and special we were made to feel from the first viewing right through to the follow up after our wedding. The owners, Brian and Julie are some of the nicest and most genuine people you will ever meet and really take the time to get to know you, not only you as the bride and groom but all of your guests who are staying the weekend with you. Cassie, the wedding coordinator, was awesome to work with! She is thorough, prompt with responses to questions and extremely organized, she was never more then a quick email away. All 3 of them were nothing but extremely helpful during our wedding weekend, especially the day of, they are right there with anything you need. The property itself, GORGEOUS! The Inn is completely renovated and let me tell you they did not miss a detail, its modern but still has that cozy feel you want at a bed and breakfast. My husband and I stayed 5 nights with our Golden Retriever and all 3 of us felt completely comfortable and at home, we actually were all very sad the day we had to leave! And if you are looking for an authentic rustic barn this is the place for you. The two chandeliers in the barn are just gorgeous, it is something you just have to see in person. The patio where we had our ceremony overlooking the lake was just absolutely breathtaking! We have received so many compliments from our guests on this venue! My husband really wanted our reception in an authentic old barn and we both have a love for mountains, water and nature, and this venue had it all! And the fact that they only do ONE wedding a weekend was such a big deal to us! Our guests got to stau with us and enjoyed everything this property had to offer for 3 amazing nights and all of them are still raving about the breakfast buffet each morning! I could just go on and on about this property and venue but I will end with it is 100% worth it to check them out, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back many times to come as Inn guests!

Just had the most awesome wedding weekend celebrating with my son Louis, new daughter in law Caitlin, our newly blended families and friends. What a beautiful inn situated on gorgeous grounds over looking the lake. Julie & Brian are so kind, generous and truly make you feel like you are at home. I highly recommend The Bear Mountain Inn not only as a wedding venue but for a nice vacation or weekend get away. I can’t wait to go back!

My little brother got married here on 8/17/19. This venue is outstanding if you, your friends or family are looking for a wedding venue or just a weekend get away in the mountains. Julie & Brian are the owners and live on site. They are down to earth friendly and caring people that are always offering to help with even the smallest things. Their staff is amazing as well. Danni & Jamie are two of the bar tenders that I met during my stay. These ladies rock, and add to the fun filled event or weekend that you stay. Bottom line when your stay is over you will think the staff and Julie and Brian should be leaving with you, like they were just guests as well. The grounds around the Inn are beautiful. Professionally maintained and when maintenance is needed it is quick and at a reasonable hour. There is also, swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking trails on the property along and in bear lake. There is plenty of room for a wedding party to stay at the venue, plus some family as well. Rooms are cozy and updated but still have the rustic Maine / barn / farmhouse feel. This is the perfect venue for a wedding or a weekend get away. I’m already planning a trip back just for a weekend away. Highly recommended if your looking, to check this place out!

This venue was absolutely a DREAM! Words can't describe how happy my husband and I chose the Bear Mountain Inn to get married this July. First off, Cassie worked with me throughout my planning stages over text or email - she was not only the perfect day of coordinator but also helped me with planning and I couldn't thank her enough! Julie and Brian (the owners) are also SO amazing - they worked so hard all weekend to make sure everything was taken care of and all the guests were happy. They all thought of everything and beyond. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful the venue was and how the inn was impeccable, the food was phenomenal and the grounds were so well maintained. Our favorite part is being able to stay at the inn with our family and bridal party next door and it was intimate and everything we wanted! Overall, we would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a beautiful rustic barn overlooking a massive plot of land with lots of greenery, private lake and mountains in the back. The Bear Mountain Inn was our dream venue for our wedding. We fell in love with the view of the pond, the beautiful barn, the quaint but modern inn... but what made our special day and weekend even that more special and memorable was Julie and Brian (the owners) and Cassie (the wedding coordinator). They were there every step of the way to make sure that everything went off without a hitch. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our guests still talk about how beautiful the venue was and that the drive out to Waterford was well worth it. We definitely recommend the Bear Mountain Inn and plan to come back to celebrate anniversaries and just to visit!

Just over a year ago my fiancé and I set out to find a venue that allowed us to achieve our dream wedding. Our goals were to create a space where two families could become one, lifelong memories would be made and the best parts of us as a couple, as individuals and through our families - could shine through. Bear Mountain Inn did not disappoint! Brian and Julie have created a true heaven on earth. From the passion they have poured into every detail, to the team they have built, to the overall feeling of pure joy they have painted every inch of that property with - this is hands down the best wedding venue we could have possibly selected. I feel confident that we could have not found a more perfect place - even if we had built it ourselves. To this day, I am continuously receiving calls, texts and Facebook posts from our friends and family raving about the venue and the team. We had such a great experience at Bear Mountain Inn for our wedding weekend! The property is so beautiful and the owners Julie and Brian are such wonderful people. They, along with the wedding coordinator Cassie were all so great to work with! Cassie was so helpful and responsive during the planning process and throughout the wedding weekend. All of our guests loved the property, Bear Mountain Inn was perfect for us! I am so glad we chose it for our wedding weekend it was so much fun!

The BMI delivered an exceptional experience from the first time we stepped onto the property until the day we departed after our daughters’ beautiful wedding weekend. The location was quiet and relaxing, and the large lawn, view of the water and access to swimming and kayaking, and walking trails checked everything off of our must-have list.
