About this vendor
Located on the Alaska Kenai Peninsula, Bear Paw Adventure opened a new Alaskan wedding venue in 2021. The venue is located at historic Anchor Point and serves the Homer area and communities located along the Peninsula. This is the place for couples to make their wedding vows in a natural setting, free from commercial distractions and focused on their love for each other.
The venue is integrated with unique Alaskan lodges, owned and operated by the Ogle family since 1993. The family lives on the property. Situated on the western side of the Kenai Peninsula, the area is famous for its stunning natural landscape and exciting Alaskan Adventures. The venue is set on a 14-acre homestead, flush with spruce trees, alders, and wildflowers. This offers a breathtaking backdrop for your wedding. You and your guests can rent the property for three days or longer and explore the wonders of Alaska’s wildlife as you celebrate your momentous occasion.
The outdoor ceremony site at Bear Paw Adventure includes a beautifully manicured lawn where you can speak your vows surrounded by the natural world. You can tie the knot in the covered pavilion, which is choicely decorated with driftwood and beach rock. This decor and log accents make this space unique. Accommodating up to 100 guests, the pavilion is best for intimate weddings and offers a memorable site for both your ceremony and reception.
The property’s four log vacation homes provide lodging where you and your guests can enjoy the rural seclusion. These hand-crafted log buildings are equipped with fully stocked kitchens, comfortable sleeping rooms, Wi-Fi and Satellite TV, and rustic furnishings including Alaskan big game mounts. They also come with get-ready suites, where you and your wedding party can relax with loved ones and prepare for the big day.
Bear Paw Adventure offers two complete wedding packages to best suit your needs and preferences. The Essentials Package includes the use of the property for three days, three nights use of two vacation homes, tables & chairs, linens, sound equipment, outdoor décor lighting, a fire pit with firewood, and plenty of parking. The Inclusive Package adds one additional night lodging, outdoor space heaters, aisle runner or markers, wedding cake, and a day-of coordinator to supervise the event. A budget-priced elopement package is also available. The venue provides a list of preferred vendors for all your other décor, catering, and entertainment needs.
Your guests are also welcome to explore nearby Kachemak Bay State Park and the Kenai Fjords National Park for wildlife viewing. Numerous guided outdoor activities are available through the lodge, including dog sled rides, horseback riding, bear viewing, kayaking, fishing, ATV rides, marine tours, and more. The Ogles will work with you to fully customize your wedding and your time at Bear Paw so that your experience on the Alaska Kenai Peninsula is the best it can be.

Beautiful scenery and fantastic hosts. I had my wedding here in June of last year and it was a wonderful experience. We ended up renting the beautiful driftwood pavilion as well as two of their larger cabins which was helpful as the bridal party was able to stay there the night before. The staff was alway available for my questions and were incredibly helpful the day of the wedding. We had a walk through of the sound system which made using it very easy. The waterfall next to the pavilion made for great wedding photos. All around an amazing time and I would highly recommend using Bear Paw Adventure for your big day.
Great venue- beautiful! Coordinator, Corrine, did a great job talking and helping with vendors. A bit more communication on some timing details would have helped but overall it was a big success, everyone had a splendid time and nothing but positive things to say! We agree :)
10/10! We got married on June, 11, 2022. This was the most perfect venue and exactly what we wanted for our special day! We booked all four cabins and they were perfect for our guests to stay at after the wedding ceremony! Corrine and John did a great job at communicating before the event and made sure all our needs were met. The cake they got us was perfect and the venue set up was exactly what we wanted. Corrine did a fabulous job the day before and the day of the wedding ceremony and all the recommendations up to the ceremony we went with (caterer, florist, etc). 5 stars is not enough! Thank you for making our day perfect!
Having our wedding at Bear Paw Adventure was an amazing and incredible experience. The onsite accommodations were clean and comfortable and the wedding pavilion itself took our breath away. It was unique and stunning, looking back on our photos I am so thankful for each and every little detail. All of the staff were amazing hosts and the whole night was smooth and hassle free. We are so grateful to have been married in such a beautiful, stunning and memorable location. I would highly recommend to anyone local or for those planning their dream destination wedding.
