Being plus size it is very hard finding things and dress shopping was the one thing I wasn’t looking forward to doing for that exact reason. Pam answered all our questions, was very knowledgeable and turned a dress shopping nightmare into the best experience for all of us.

being pushy. I came to the Shop with my mother multiple times to try on dresses and accessories and Pam was always kind and patient and made us feel like we were her only customers. The Shop has a carefully curated selection of dresses and designers at different price points. I tried on about 10 dresses and ultimately went with a beautiful and unique Justin Alexander ballgown that was under $2,000 which I felt was an extremely reasonable price point for the quality. I also purchased a cathedral-length veil, faux pearl earrings, and a hair accessory, and my mom purchased jewelry and a hair accessory as well. If you buy your dress there, she offers a discount on accessories. When I picked up my dress, Pam gave me an adorable personalized “emergency kit” which was such a nice touch and came in handy on the big day. The Shop is comfortable, clean, and meticulously maintained (with plenty of parking), and it was easy to book appointments on their website. I live in Worcester just a few minutes’ drive from the Shop and I so appreciated the convenience of Beautiful Bride. No need to drive out to Boston or any of the larger shops in the region!

I’m 6’1” and nothing ever fits right. Pam made me feel comfortable from the moment I entered her shop. She asked me some preliminary questions, then let my friend and I wander at our leisure and pick out dresses that caught our eyes. She also picked out dresses for me as she got a feel for my style and was so patient the whole time. Other shops, even the one I ultimately purchased from, made me feel rushed and pressured. Not Pam. She seemed to just know I needed my time and space to decide. And the icing on the (wedding) cake was that she offered the longest fitting time of any shop I tried! There was no rush, no pressure, no sense that I had to decide *right*this*minute*! In fact, I had two appointments for fittings at her shop, and she kept sample sale dresses on hold for me twice (!) without any sense of guilt or pressure (are you sensing a theme?...also, if you’re reading this and thinking, “oh, G-d, she’s a nightmare customer!” You’re not wrong). When I wrote to Pam to let her know I went with another store, she was so kind and understanding. I know I’ve gushed about Pam, who really is the best, but I can’t forget to tell you about the shop and the dresses. It’s such a cute, unique store. The fitting area is spacious, and the area for your friends/family is just perfect. Every detail is so well considered. It’s out of the way if you don’t live in central Mass, but, seriously, do yourself a favor and make the drive! It’s so worth it. It’s decorated beautifully, and the selection is vast. (If you like Lillian West, I think it’s one of the only shops around that carries her gowns.) They’re also very reasonably priced! If Pam is able to help you find a sample sale dress that meets your dreams, she definitely will. I had so many favorites from her shop, and she is so great at helping you find what is going to look beautiful on you while taking your feedback into account. After your first visit, you take away a bridal bag with a lovely, weekly “to do” notepad and referrals for food, makeup, hair, and photography vendors. Pam seems to only share information from people she vets or goes to herself (the hair/makeup artist she recommended - LC Studio/Lauren - mentioned Pam had an appointment the day after me), so you know you’re not going to some random person who just dropped cards off at her store. She also recommended the photographer who was number 1 on our list even before I got her recommendation. Bottom line: This is the best shopping experience you will ever have...like, ever. If you feel pressured to purchase a dress somewhere else, come visit Beautiful Bride Boutique and see what a bridal shopping experience *should* be. Trust me. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to visit this boutique!

Being a covid bride brought a lot of stress but she made the dress buying process completely stress-free. It was a completely different experience from the large store. Pam is so wonderful and patient, and really made me feel comfortable during my appointment. We were able to browse the racks and choose dresses we liked, which you don't get to do at some of the larger stores. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was stressful, and Pam updated me a few times, ensuring that I was going to get my dress on time. When the shop opened back up and I was able to pick up my dress and try it on again, I was very impressed at how clean and safe the shop was. There is also a great selection of jewelry and hair pieces, I ended up buying earrings and a hair piece that goes perfectly with my dress. She did all of the hard work for me, bringing me a variety of beautiful, high quality dresses to try on, and listening carefully to my feedback and my family's feedback. She is soooo good at what she does! I found the perfect dress - really Pam did :) - but that was only the beginning. Throughout the process of making the final decision until I had my own gown in my hands, she was professional, attentive, and super accommodating. Pam is incredible and has such an eye and she got me into a dress that made me feel so incredible about myself, which of course is the number one thing I was looking for! She even got a cathedral length veil on me... Veil was a super no on my way into the boutique! Pam was kind, creative although listened to exactly what I wanted and took note of things that made me say wow! She was thoughtful, responded quickly to emails, and made each appointment feel like her absolute number one priority. I bought my daughter's flower girl dress through BBB as well and the experience was no different. Pam has a lot of patience for finding the right dress- from bride to a little girl who becomes shy and uncooperative in front of an audience. When it came to alterations she was even able to speak for me a bit to help my seamstress go just a liiiittle tighter where she thought it was fine. She was a wonderful advocate, so kind, so helpful, so pleasant. She's the reason this boutique is so wonderful. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pam and BBB. Dress shopping was the least stressful part of wedding planning!

When you go to your appointment you are the only bride there (I went to another store where there were a number of other shoppers there/children running around and it felt very impersonal) so she really is able to focus on your vision. She even paired my dress with a cute headband that matches my engagement ring and the garden ceremony venue. Go to Pam and you will not be disappointed!

I purchased my dress that same day, and later on I worked with the seamstress she recommended named Joanne, who did an incredible job tailoring the dress. It was a really awesome experience overall and I got so many compliments on my dress. The even sent me a day-of-emergency kit to my home address a few days prior to the wedding, which I thought was extremely thoughtful. I would highly recommend them to any bride!

a bridal appointment at BBB. It was super easy to schedule the appointment online on their website and I got a confirmation both text and email that day and the day of the appointment. I also love that on the website you’re able to create a wishlist ahead of time. From the moment I walked into Beautiful Bride Boutique with my mother that day, I knew this was the bridal shop of my dreams. First of all, all of the appointments are private appointments there. You have to whole shop to you and your guests, and let me tell you this boutique is absolutely beautiful and tastefully decorated. Pam was so amazing to work with, and I felt like she knew me better than I knew myself. I went into my appointment with a firm belief that I wanted straps and very quickly realized I hated straps. Pam quickly adjusted the selection of dresses I was trying on to strapless ones, and was constantly switching it up to try different styles and work towards “the one”. She took the time to listen to key words and my likes and dislikes of each dress until finally we found it. From the moment I put on my dress, I knew it was it. Looking in the mirror, I teared up with emotion as I stared at the dress I’ve dreamed of my entire life. As I said “yes to the dress” we toasted with champagne and I reveled in glow of finding my wedding dress. Once my dress had come in, I went back to pick up my dress. This time I brought along my future MIL and future SIL. They both agreed that this bridal shop was special. That day, Pam also took the time to help my mother pick out and order a jeweled belt to go on her dress for the wedding. And the sweetest touch at the end when leaving with my dress, Pam presented me with a beautiful gift. It was such a special touch, and the whole process made me feel like a princess. I cannot tell you enough, BBB is an absolute GEM of a bridal boutique with exceptional service. Pam is so caring and so in tune with what you’re looking for; she is a PRO at this. azing. I found the prices to be very affordable (compared with other bridal shops in the Boston area), and the owner Pam is so professional and warm. When you book here you get the entire salon to yourself for 1+ hr, which in my experience at other places in the Boston area is very rare! I ultimately had two appts before I found the right dress, but Pam is the ultimate professional - she is so experienced and intuitive, and a great listener for both what the customer wants and their body style. She also offered to order in dresses I liked from online so that I could see if they were 'the one' and this is ultimately how I found my dress! In addition, the tailoring professionals Pam recommends are amazing. I worked with JoAnn, and she was the sweetest and had a TON of experience. She did a beautiful job, and her prices were very fair.

The salon is private, welcoming and SO much bigger than it looks. I LOVED being the only bride in the salon- seriously, it allowed me to focus. I felt so relaxed and truly at ease. I worked with Pam, she was so patient and accommodating and really listened to what I liked and disliked. She helped me find the most beautiful gown, which I thought was impossible! Honestly, my entire experience was nothing short of amazing and gown process was so easy. Pam was always so helpful and my questions were always answered. I was able to visit the salon whenever I needed, like to shop for accessories or to try on my shoes with the gown. I felt home in the salon for every visit, always relaxed and never rushed. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience. I felt amazing on my wedding day, my gown fit flawlessly, I am so very grateful I found this salon.

and was measured twice before I purchased. When the dress came in, it was two sizes too small. Even with three people pulling on it, it wouldn’t zip more than a few centimeters. My measurements were even slightly smaller than when I purchased the dress so the wrong size was not due to weight gain. The owner, Pam, was adamant that a wedding dress typically comes in too small and then is altered to fit. I have only heard the opposite and was extremely skeptical. Pam and the seamstress doing the alterations both told me I shouldn’t be worried and everything would be fine. Long, horrifying story short: the dress could not be altered and I was left without a wedding dress less than two months before my wedding. Pam became increasingly unprofessional and spiteful throughout my dealings with her. All 13 of my bridesmaids also ordered their dresses through the boutique. Every single one of them had the opposite problem with their dresses— they were all huge. Ironically, Pam told them it was normal for the dress to be big and be altered down. One of my bridesmaids paid over $200 for alterations because the dress was falling off of her. While I like to support small business, I cannot condone giving this business a good review. What I went through was traumatizing and gut-wrenching. I would never wish that upon anyone— let alone someone already going through the stress of wedding planning. There is no excuse for such a huge mistake and a wedding dress is too important to risk by patronizing this boutique.

Ladies, listen to their advice about the size they recommend! My dress needed slight alterations for height but other than that fit perfectly! The Lillian West dress- Style 6485- was PERFECT, I had a mid Summer wedding and was worried about being too warm and didn't want anything heavy. This dress was light weight, breathable, I was able to dance and felt SO comfortable all night. Highly recommend this Boutique and Lillian West Collection!
