Beauty and the Beach is a beachfront wedding venue in Crystal Beach, Texas, on the Bolivar Peninsula at 1586 Hwy 87, Gilchrist, TX 77617. The outdoor ceremony space and covered reception area accommodate up to 200 wedding guests. Choose Ceremony Only, Ceremony + Reception, or Ceremony + Reception + Stay. The Stay package includes two lighthouse nights for up to 12 overnight guests; optional RV accommodation can add up to 12 more.
The venue provides included tables, chairs, white linens and setup assistance. Bring your own wedding vendors. Catering, an officiant, a DJ with sound equipment, and wedding planning or day-of coordination are arranged separately. A covered tiki bar is available; couples bring their own alcohol and other drinks. An optional five-hour TABC-certified bartender is $399. Lighthouse living areas and the kitchen are available with the Stay package; the kitchen is not for preparing reception food.
Prices depend on your date, guest count and package. Eligible Monday-Thursday wedding package rates are 50% off the seasonal standard rate, excluding actual and observed US federal holidays. two day stay at the house made getting everything ready so easy and simple. They were kind enough to let us use the space for the rehearsal dinner, and unlocked the doors and let us use their tables and chairs at no extra cost. This venue is stunning, and we loved every second we spent there. We really want to book a stay there to just come back and relax for our anniversary!

We started looking at VRBOs because I had read about saving money by using a VRBO. We started looking at a beach wedding because the beach is my happy place.
We found Beauty and the Beach Weddings which is both a venue and a VRBO. It's an old lighthouse, which still works. It has plenty of room to for the bridal party to get ready. It has a huge reception area under the house. It was perfect for our vision.
When we visited, we fell in love. We would be able to get married with the beach as our backdrop without everyone having to stand in sand. There was a ton of parking. We booked it as soon as we could.
Our stay there this last weekend was fantastic! The venue staff was attentive to both our stay at the VRBO and our wedding at their venue. Although it was cold and windy the morning of our wedding, our vision came to life at Beauty and the Beach. The steps were a beautiful way for the wedding party and bride to make a grand entrance.
We recommend this place if you're looking for a fun weekend at the beach or if you want to host some kind of event.
Stephanie, the manager, went above and beyond by giving me a FaceTime tour of the kitchen and helping a guest of mine find a RV park.
