Sarah did the most amazing job on my wedding hair and makeup! She was professional and helpful right from the start. She arrived on time, even a bit early and made me feel gorgeous and confident. Sarah is SO talented! Her process was so professional, she’s responsive to all questions and it kept me at-ease before the wedding day. During the trial she and I experimented different variations of the look I was going for, we discussed everything, she was so positive and honest with me. The day-of, she and her assistant Danielle we’re ahead of schedule, leaving time for touch-ups for me and my whole bridal party, they are both so talented! I had so many complements on my hair and makeup, it looked natural and looked like me!

Sarah was absolutely wonderful in every way! She is talented, sweet, responsive, punctual, professional, and personable, and the list goes on. Sarah really listened to what I wanted and worked with me to perfect the look. We tried a couple different styles before landing on a final product. Everything that we tried was executed flawlessly. Ultimately I really felt that Sarah tailored her work to best fit me, vs copying and pasting the same style. On my wedding day I felt like the perfect balance of natural and photo-ready. When my husband saw me at the alter for the first time he kept mouthing how gorgeous I looked. Later he told me that he loved that I looked like me. I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life. And the look lasted throughout the night! We just got our wedding photos back and in the very last pictures of us, after a ceremony in blinding afternoon soon and a night of dancing, my makeup and hair were still perfectly intact. Sarah also styled my bridesmaids' hair. Everyone felt and looked amazing! Sarah is a complete professional. She was on top of her communication (even when I was very much not so) and took a proactive approach to everything. I am deeply grateful for her patience and support. Our wedding fell smack dab in the middle of the most challenging time of our lives. Sarah was a true blessing. Her professionalism and expertise alleviated feelings of turbulence and made a chaotic time manageable. Sarah truly is a master of her craft. I was very concerned about looking entirely different on my wedding day from having make-up on that doesn't suit me. Sarah's work on her website inspired me to booked her and I'm SO glad I did. She made sure I was recognizable and classy when I walked down the aisle. :) Her professionalism is evident throughout the process. Everything was well organized. She's excellent with her follow ups and very open to changes and/or adjustments if need be. I would love to work with her again in the future!

Sarah was an absolute gem to work with and made me feel so beautiful for my wedding day. She knows exactly how to execute a look you are going for and does it so wonderfully. She did my makeup for my engagement photos and I was so thrilled with the results - I loved how I looked in person and in the photos. I chose Sarah because her natural, glowing style of makeup aligned perfectly with what I wanted for our photos. I told her I wanted to look like the best version of myself, not like someone else. She absolutely nailed it! I have had my makeup done several times before, but I have never felt more beautiful than when Sarah finished working her magic. Before we got started, I showed her some inspiration photos. She then took me through a series of questions to help her understand exactly what I wanted. As she pointed out, "natural makeup" means very different things to different people, so the questions helped her understand exactly what level of coverage, etc. I wanted. On top of all that, she was so wonderful to work with. We had to reschedule twice due to unseasonably poor weather, and she was very flexible and patient as we worked through the changes and reschedules. I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough and I will certainly come back to her if I have any other events in the San Diego area for which I need my makeup done. If the wedding was in San Diego, I would hire her in a heartbeat!

Sarah was such a pleasure to work with! From her email/phone correspondence, to our conversations in-person, I knew I made the right decision in choosing her! I normally don't wear a lot of make-up and have very sensitive skin, so choosing a make-up artist that was understanding of all of this was important to me. Sarah is so kind, easy to talk to, and did a beautiful job on my wedding day. With the pandemic, she took precautions including wearing a mask, sanitizing, keeping a clean workspace, etc. We are having our reception in 2022 due to COVID, and we would be more than happy to book her again for that big event!

I don't wear a lot of make-up in my regular life, and it was super important to me to look like myself and feel comfortable but also photograph well on my wedding day back in March 2020. Sarah was exactly the right choice for me. She has mastered the natural elegance aesthetic, and she also has the natural elegance personality thing down to match. Sara is a master at her craft. My husband and I decided to elope to San Diego and I was so worried about who I could trust with doing my makeup since I had never been there before or worked with anyone before. I found Sara through Instagram and was instantly blown away with her work. She made every women look even more beautiful than they already were and kept them looking true to themselves which I loved! I reached out to her and after our first phone call, I knew she would be perfect! We emailed back and forth and I even added her to my pinterest wedding board so she could get the whole look I was going for and man did she deliver. I never even met her till the day of my wedding. No trial runs or anything, she just instantly knew what to do and made me feel so beautiful! Not only that, but she is the sweetest person ever and truly became a friend through the entire process and we have kept in touch since the wedding! Sarah is the best makeup artist ever! I went through a couple makeup artists, and they all did great jobs, but it wasn’t me. It looked too much like show makeup! But Sarah understood my vision for my wedding, and she made me feel amazing, and I was so happy with the way my makeup turned out! Also, she did my bridesmaids makeup, and they looked so gorgeous ! Sarah and Kayti made my wedding day an unforgettable one. They were incredibly attentive and extremely talented. They remained on time the entire day and the outcome was so impressive! Sarah is the best! We only had 7 months to plan our wedding, so I knew I had to move quickly to secure all of our vendors, while still making sure I loved each of them and stayed within budget. My makeup artist was one of the last vendors I booked, simply because I had such a hard time finding someone that I loved to do my/my bridesmaids' makeup on such a special day. I wear zero makeup 99% of the time, and for special occasions I'll usually only add some mascara and fill in my brows at most. I knew I wanted someone that gave their brides a more natural look, and all I kept finding were super glam styles that didn't match what I was going for. I was looking at reviews on the Knot and finally came across Beauty Bespoken. Seeing her photos was a breath of fresh air! After scrolling through images of her beautiful brides, I knew I wanted Sarah as our makeup artist! Sarah was extremely prompt in responding to my online inquiry, and we set up a makeup trial in her gorgeous studio a few months before my wedding. I've only worn fake strip lashes a handful of times which never seemed to fit my eye shape properly, but Sarah uses individual lashes on everyone which feel SO light and comfortable! She even made sure not to cover up my freckles with foundation; I felt like she truly wanted to make my natural beauty shine through her makeup, not cover it up and make me look like a completely different person. Sarah created a flawless beauty timeline for my wedding day and we stayed ahead of schedule the whole morning. She is such a warm and sweet presence and made all my bridesmaids feel so special and look stunning! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and I am so happy that I went with Sarah. If you are on the fence, PLEASE book with Sarah - she is as lovely and talented as it gets. I originally booked with another makeup vendor for my wedding day and when I had my trial with this other vendor, I left panicking. I felt like I didn't look like myself and instantly started to feel insecure. My wedding planner suggested I look into Sarah, as her specialty is beautiful, natural bridal makeup. She squeezed me in 2 weeks before my wedding, did my trial the day before, and absolutely nailed it on my wedding day. I felt sooooo beautiful, but more than that, I felt like myself. Everyone at my reception kept saying that I looked like the most beautiful version of myself, and I totally felt that way. Sarah is so kind, genuine, and is completely worth the investment.

Sarah did the most beautiful job with the make up for my bridal party! She took everything we said about how we wanted to look and executed it perfectly, plus she was super fun to work with. The makeup was flawless throughout the entire 11 hours from finishing of makeup, to first look, to ceremony, to packing up the dance party. She made us all feel like goddesses! Sarah, Kayti and team were my beauty unicorns. They did such an amazing job on my hair and makeup for the wedding, I've never felt more beautiful. They are professional, passionate and highly creative. Their team of artists are all so talented- my bridal party could not be more complimentary of the work they did. Sarah is very organized and did an incredible job communicating every step of the process. Additionally I live in Texas and got married in California and she really did an amazing job easing my fears about the wedding day. They executed on exactly what I wanted, even though I had made adjustments from the trial to day of. Couldn't recommend these ladies more!

After my initial booking with another hair & makeup vendor completely fell apart a little over a month before our wedding, I found myself scouring The Knot and Yelp looking for a well-reviewed, talented hair and makeup artist or artists who still had availability so close to our wedding date. After several “we aren’t available on your date” emails, Sarah Anne (the owner of Beauty Bespoken) responded to my inquiry in a jiffy, and before I knew it we had a hair and makeup trial scheduled for the following week. After meeting Sarah Anne (who would be doing makeup) and Kayti (who would be doing hair) and seeing the beautiful work that they both did (Sarah Anne was able to cover up a nasty breakout with ease, and Kayti completed a gorgeous braided up-do in what seemed like no time at all), I knew that Beauty Bespoken was the right fit for me and my girls! Booking with Sarah Anne was a breeze, and whenever I had a question or concern leading up to the wedding, she was quick to respond. Flash forward to the day of the wedding. Sarah Anne and Kayti arrived to our location early, and were all set up before I even arrived. They would be completing hair and makeup for myself and 4 of my bridesmaids. As each girl sat with Sarah Anne and Kayti, you could tell they instantly felt comfortable and at ease. Sarah Anne and Kayti worked with each girl to create a look that they loved based in inspo photos, and when each girl got to look in the mirror after Sarah Anne and Kayti worked their magic you could tell they were blown away. The same can be said for me - everything I loved about my trial was recreated perfectly for my wedding day. Moreover, having Kayti, Sarah Anne, and Sarah Anne’s mom (who worked as an assistant for the day) with us as we got ready made the morning even more fun; it felt like all of us were long time friends who and known each other forever as we spent most of the morning laughing, something that I definitely appreciated as a nervous bride. Looking back at all the photos from our night, all of the girls looked absolutely radiant from the start of the night to the end. Sarah Anne’s Makeup highlighted all of the beautiful and unique features of each girl; the makeup did not look heavy, it was not clown makeup that I often see on brides and bridesmaids, it was natural and perfect. Turns out, having my initial booking fall through was a HUGE blessing, and having Beauty Bespoken as a part of my big day was meant to be. Any time I have a friend looking for hair and makeup for their wedding, or for any other special event, I will wholeheartedly recommend Beauty Bespoken.

Sarah was great to work with! When I was looking for a makeup artist for my wedding, I knew I wanted someone who specialized in natural looks. As a destination bride, I was confident in my choice from the beginning, without having even met Sarah in person yet. She is organized, detailed, and flexible, and sent over all the information for my bridal trial and day-of timeline! She was even able to provide a recommendation for a hair stylist (who was also great!) Her work is consistent and is available to view on her social media platforms. Her skills at matching your skin-tone, hair color etc. to makeup are incredible and Sarah will help make suggestions if you are unsure exactly what look you are going for. However, she is also open to making changes so you are nothing but ecstatic about your look! In addition to being highly professional, Sarah is super sweet and is all about serving you best on your big day! I highly recommend Beauty Bespoken for your wedding!

Sarah is amazing! She was the make-up artist for my wedding day and I could not have been happier. She came on time and was a rockstar at keeping to our tight schedule. She made all of my bridemaids feel beautiful and even my mother-in-law (a tough critic) loved her look! She said "This is the first time in the 3 wedding's I've been in that I am happy with my make-up!". For me Sarah made me feel absolutely beautiful in my own skin that stayed all night long! Sarah was an absolute dream to work with. I had a bridal preview with her, and she and an assistant, Gina, did makeup for me, my three bridesmaids, and my mother. I, along with my wedding party, had fears about looking overly made-up--none of us wear a ton of makeup and still wanted to look like ourselves. Sarah and Gina absolutely accomplished that! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day, but more importantly, I felt like ME. When Sarah did my bridal preview several months before my wedding, she was able to both make recommendations and listen to my input (most of which, upon wearing the blush and lip colors I selected for a few hours, I realized didn't work for me at all). Sarah recalibrated everything based on the things I didn't love from our initial preview and was very patient and kind when I went through 20+ lip color ideas and texted her panicked photos of swatches on my arm. I still wasn't sure what color I wanted on the big day, and she brought four beautiful lipsticks that were exactly what I was going for and helped me pick the right one. She also gave me a full-size lipstick for reapplication throughout the day (though admittedly I forgot to do this...whoops). While getting ready before my 11 a.m. wedding, Sarah worked so well with my hairstylist (who I'd hired separately) and even lent her a mirror and other things my hairstylist had forgotten. She also helped clean up the hotel room and get everyone packed up so we could head to the venue since my hairstylist got behind on finishing my style. In short, she went above and beyond, and I cannot recommend her enough!

Sarah recently did my makeup for my sunrise engagement photoshoot. Even very early in the morning (4am!) she made the process so much fun! She was so sweet and kind and it was very clear that she loves what she does and really cares about making her clients happy. Both my fiancé and I absolutely loved my makeup and really felt like she listened to what we wanted. She was also professional, organized, and on time. It was of course also a wonderful bonus that she drives to you (very much appreciated before the sun is up!). I couldn’t recommend Sarah enough and will definitely pass her information along to potential clients when I have the chance!

What a breath of fresh air to work with such a serene soul! The calm, peaceful experience I had during our preview/trial session stood out for me and solidified my decision to retain Sarah's services for my wedding day this August. And, sure enough, her aura of peace and calm helped ease my nerves the morning of the wedding when I had all of 3 hours of sleep and could not hold down any sort of breakfast. Sarah is a wonderful human being. She is calm, friendly and extremely good at what she does! She was recommended by my wedding planner as someone who can create a flawless, natural look. And let me tell you, she met and exceeded all of my expectations. I had one other make-up trial prior to booking Sarah and the artist had difficult matching my olive skin color and finding the right lip color. Sarah took her time on the day of my trial to find a lip color that not only was I happy with but she wanted to find one that I loved. She spent a lot of time mixing multiple different lipsticks and using all of her creative instincts. We ended up finding a great color, but Sarah went above and beyond looking for an even better color. In the end, she went on a special shopping trip, and brought me a couple of options for the actually wedding day. It was an absolute pleasure working with Sarah and I highly recommend her to all brides!

I spent a lot of time researching makeup artists in San Diego for my April 2018 wedding. I am SO happy to have had the absolute privilege to have Sarah on my bridal beauty team. Sarah stands out in so many ways. First, she is one of the kindest souls and just so sweet. I loved her emails, and even though wedding planning can be stressful, her emails always brought joy to my day. Second, Sarah is professional, organized, and committed. She responds quickly, provides all necessary information, and goes above and beyond. For example, she (on her own with me asking) arranged the schedule and coordinated with my hair team and photographer. She arrived on time (early even!) for both the preview and the day of. Third, Sarah is an artist and did such a phenomenal job of bringing out the natural features of my sisters, mother-in-law, and me. If I ever need my makeup professionally done again, I know that I'll be reaching out to Sarah. She's so awesome and I love her Instagram page full of positivity and great photos of clients who are lucky enough to work with her.

Sarah did an incredible job at making my bridal party and I feel so beautiful during my wedding day!
