Amy did my hair and makeup for my wedding and she was such a pleasure to work with! When choosing a hair/makeup artist, I knew I wanted someone experienced who would offer their input and guidance. I had a general idea of the look I wanted and she was very helpful in offering her opinion and expertise to finetune the details. The trial was fun and thorough and I enjoyed chatting with her. Amy also crafted a great timeline for the day so that we were relaxed and not rushed, and I was even able to enjoy some downtime on a crazy day. Tara also did a great job with my family members hair and makeup and everyone was happy with how they looked. I would recommend Amy and her team to anyone in a heartbeat!

I found Amy on The Knot and compared many galleries before I confirmed my instinct - that she was The Choice for my bridal hair and makeup. It's so hard to find one stylist who does BOTH equally well. From our first meeting it was clear Amy had solid experience doing wedding makeup, and had good tips and reminders. Our trial was a dream - her home studio is super cute and cozy and she kept me both entertained and refreshed with beverages. She was super understanding when I was running late (had a 2.5-hour drive to get to her!) She took my feedback well and offered her own. She hand-curled every strand of my very long purple hair, which took hours, like it was nothing! And she had at least one other hours-long trial after me (if not more). It's clear that Amy is not only passionate about what she does, but is extremely talented and gifted. She was super responsive via email leading up to wedding day, and was very flexible to working with my natural curl texture and those of my small bridal party as well. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out - I had such a fun, relaxed morning getting ready with Amy, her assistant, and my girls. We laughed and had some memorable moments before the ceremony, and Amy even provided me with a custom bridal touch-up kit. She was so kind, thoughtful, fun, and talented. I couldn't recommend her any more highly!!

Amy and her team were hired for my sister’s wedding. They were on time. They were warm and inviting. They listened to what I wanted for my hair and make up. They did our hair and make up at my parents’ home. They adapted to the space and used what we had. My hair and make up lasted from 7am-2am. I looked just as amazing at the end of the night as I did first thing in the morning. Amy made sure every single girl in the wedding party and my mom looked their best beautiful self. I cannot express how much I loved working with Amy. She absolutely nailed my bridal look! Aside from being a talented artist, she is filled with practical tips/advice and always makes herself available through email or a call. I was definitely more of a Type B bride and I couldn't have done it without Amy. She sent follow-up emails, put together a detailed schedule of events, and was able to make adjustments on the fly. She was SUCH a calming presence on the day of the wedding as was her team of makeup/hair artists. They were flexible and able to recreate any look that my bridesmaids asked for. Amy and her team were the best! I do not usually wear a lot of makeup and I have big curly hair that I did not want to straighten. Amy did my hair and makeup for my family’s newborn shoot, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She was incredibly accommodating, professional, and personable. She made getting ready for the shoot so comfortable and relaxed — which, as a new mom, I so appreciated. She brought the best energy; she’s so positive and upbeat and it’s very clear how much pride she takes in her work. My hair and makeup both turned out amazing! Amy is amazing! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and my MOH. When I met Amy for my trial, I had an idea of what I wanted my makeup to look like but really was looking for some guidance. She listened to my ideas and came up with a plan before she started working on me. She talked me into wearing eyelash extensions which I was weary about at first but ended up loving in the end! Amy was always very easy to get in touch with and was always very professional. She is great at what she does! She was extremely punctual which I appreciated on the day of the wedding!! Amy provided makeup services for me (the bride), my two bridesmaids, MOB, MOG and sister in law. She is extremely organized and professional and was a joy to work with throughout the planning process. I did a makeup trial with Amy prior to the wedding which helped me figure out the look I wanted on my wedding day. Amy checked in periodically leading up to the wedding which I greatly appreciate because it is such a stressful time! Amy did wedding makeup for me and my bridesmaids and I would highly recommend her! I had my makeup artist fall through a couple of weeks before my wedding and Amy had a last-minute cancellation; she really came through for me in a pinch and even managed to fit me in for a trial. She is professional, super organized, and does beautiful makeup with such attention to detail. WOW where do I even begin!! Amy made me feel like the most beautiful bride! From our first call we hit it off, and I knew she was the one for my big day! I was beyond happy with Amy and all that she brought to my wedding. As a performer I am used to wearing makeup and am VERY picky about it. But I never had to address anything with Amy because she is just that good. I had people telling me all night how good my makeup looked and it came out flawlessly in the photos! She also brought a second artist on the day due to the number of services I needed and she was amazing as well (Yessy). I cannot recommend her enough. Amy is amazing! She is so fun to work with and very talented. Amy was 100% ready for me when I got to her. She had a look planned and was prepared to execute. The look she came up with for my dark skin was phenomenal and she even got my kinky curly hair super straight. Natural curly girls are always concentres with the hair reverting to curly after such a flawless straightening but Amy did such an amazing job it was back to its kinky curly natural state when I washed it. The look complemented my best features and made me feel like the most stunning bride for my trial. Amy is incredible and I trust no one else with such a feat.

It is so difficult to put into words how amazing Amy is! To begin, Amy is one of the amazingly beautiful vendors who participated in the Erica Leman - Sweet Alice Photography wedding giveaway in memory of the loss of my Dad. She graciously donated her time and expertise without a second thought. I personally do not wear a lot of makeup - but Amy listened to exactly what my style was and somehow captured my true self. It was my luck that she had that day open, and she delivered way beyond my expectations. I am a pretty low maintenance woman, so wedding hair dos and makeup aren't my knack. Top Notch Glam Squad! My MUA had to cancel 2 months before the wedding and I lucked out that Amy was still available. Amy is so talented - I have never felt so beautiful in my entire life and I could tell my girls felt the same way. She knew exactly what I wanted even when I didn't know the words to put with it. She adjusted on the fly when the weather got crazy and I asked to make a small change. My make-up didn't budge even after the last dance (red lip included!) and my hair still looked perfectly undone. Being a fairly new resident to the Hudson Valley area, I was super nervous in my search for a hair stylist for my wedding day..I found Amy online and was immediately sold! Her portfolio and reviews won me right over. She traveled two hours to me, was early, attentive, and so so professional! My hair was perfection all day and night! I am a wedding photographer who has had the absolute pleasure of working with Amy. There are 3 things as a photographer that are super important when it comes to hair and makeup: A) that the artist keeps on time B) that the artist's work lasts all day C) the artist's work is high quality and looks flawless. And Amy NAILS all three of these. My bride (and her bridesmaids!) that Amy worked with had FLAWLESS makeup, even after breaking it down on the dance floor. It literally looked the same at the reception as it did when first applied. The quality of her work is impeccable and she is incredibly easy to work with! Do yourself a favor and stop wasting time mulling it over, because while you do that someone else is snatching her up for your date (she's THAT incredible, no joke!)

Amy was fabulous! She did my makeup to perfection for my intimate wedding this August. She was responsive to my requests to keep the makeup as natural as possible and it came out even better than I could have imagined! I'm a very slow reviewer, and am finally getting around to all my wedding reviews, which is in no way the way i feel about all the wonderful people who made my wedding so beautiful. It was wonderful to work with Beauty by Amy Elizabeth. It's very important to me to feel comfortable with my makeup artist and when I went to get my hair and makeup trial, I was so happy to know that Amy is a super sweet person. She helped me discover that my veil was a little wonky and I rushed to get a new one (thank goodness this didn't happen the day of the wedding) The makeup and hair were wonderful, I still get compliments on how wonderful everyone looked that day. On the day of the wedding there were two people and it felt like having two friends present. I very much recommend Amy for any bride that wants to look absolutely gorgeous on her big day and be stress free.

After the trial, she took any and all of my feedback and minor adjustments into consideration. She also helped me with my bridesmaid gifts! Amy styled my Mother in Law’s long hair into a stunning high pony tail wrapped with her own hair and a rhinestone barrette. She looked elegant and perfect for a formal event as she walked down the aisle as the grandmother of the groom. Amy and makeup artist did my sister as well. Delightful, professional and wonderful to work with!

She listens to what you want and provides it to every last detail. (Personally I think the best part is that the make up never looks caked on!) Amy is not only a fun person to have your makeup done by but also an informative person. From beginning to end she informed me not only what she was using but also what would be good for my skin. Prior to starting she ask what kind of skin do you have and what kind of makeup do you prefer to make sure your ending results are to your liking. She is completely hands on and very easy to work with. In the midst of getting my makeup done we shared a few laughs and she even shared a some of her techniques. Very fun person to have around on your special day and i am very happy that my cousin had her around for her big day ! Thanks again Amy !!! ❤️

Amy did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and I could not have been happier with her services! For my makeup she listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me a natural look with the perfect emphasis on my eyes. Then for my hair I had a very specific idea in mind. I wanted a low bun that was lose and Amy got the look perfectly! I had other stylists attempt this look on several occasions and no one else could get it right, but Amy knew exactly what I wanted! Aside from her styling, Amy was great with keeping in contact and especially accommodating all the changes that I made. I even asked for an extra service a week before the wedding and Amy made the change without question even though it required her getting to my site at 6:45AM and that was after traveling over an hour to get there. Overall, Amy was wonderful and I highly recommend her!

I would recommend Amy to anyone who asked. She was fast, kind, and professional. On my wedding day her and her team dealt with five VERY different hair types, thick, thin, wavy, pin straight, AND SPIRAL CURLS. She did everyone's hair beautifully in a way that lasted all night. As a client with curly hair I was really nervous because not all people know how to work with curls. She was very knowledgeable and gave me a gorgeous half up half down hairstyle for my wedding that lasted ALL night. Literally until 2AM. I would strongly recommend her especially if you have curly hair.

I had an absolutely excellent experience working with Amy! I had a total of 16 ladies so there was potential for confusion and chaos, but Amy and her colleagues showed up on time (they traveled to us) and were super organized. They actually finished early! Everyone was extremely pleased with how their hair turned out, especially me (the bride!). I felt so beautiful and elegant and loved how she brought my vision to life! An extra note; my ceremony was outside on a very windy day and my hair held up beautifully! Would highly recommend to all brides.

Amy was so easy to work with, and such a pleasure to be around. She was extremely receptive to feedback during the trial, and understood the type of look I wanted. I decided to make a last minute change, which she knocked out of the park on the day of the wedding, making sure to check in the whole time that she was doing what I wanted. She was a positive, comforting presence on the day of my wedding and is incredibly talented. Both times she unexpectedly had to create a hairpiece for me from cut flowers, and absolutely NAILED it! Amy handled all the bumps in the road graciously and I highly recommend her!

“Phenomenal” is an understatement. Amy and her team helped make my wedding day absolutely perfect. From the phone consultations the weeks prior to the wedding, to the in-person makeup trial, to the big day, Amy made every step smooth and stress free. Planning a wedding in New York while stationed in Texas was definitely a challenge, but Amy made the distance a nonissue when working with her. The makeup and hairstyles she put together were absolutely flawless, and lasted the entire day without any problems whatsoever. Love love love Amy’s work, I highly recommend her and wish it was possible to give more than five stars. I absolutely cannot gush enough about how impeccable her hair and makeup designs were.

I had a great experience working with Amy! She was very friendly and easy to work with. The makeup she did looked natural and very elegant. I showed her a picture of what I wanted for my hair and it came out perfectly. It stayed all day and throughout dancing all night even in the summer heat. She did a great job and I would definitely use her again!

I’m a woman that does not wear makeup but of course on your wedding day you want to look your best. Being that, I wanted a very simple and natural look. Amy listened and matched my idea of the perfect look! Being that my wedding was outside I was concerned and uneducated as to how my makeup should look. My makeup was very natural but I still had a nice subtle glow in the sunlight. My hair was straightened to perfection (which isn’t easy to do with super curly hair) and the whole thing came together flawlessly. I love Amy! I 1000% recommend her to any bride!

I found Amy’s ad on Craigslist 3 days before my cousins wedding. I asked if she could do 3 people’s hair and make up! She was so quick to respond and give me prices and details. She helped stay in my price range, which is so rad. When she arrived, she was so nice and got everything set up. She listened to what we wanted and gave us her input. Amy was a pleasure to work with. I did my hair and makeup for my bridal shower and her work portrayed the exact look I was going for. Amy was exactly what I hoped to find for my wedding day look. I don’t wear much makeup and after doing a few trials at makeup counters, I wasn’t hopeful on finding someone who could capture a natural look for my day. Amy was able to find great colors that complemented my complexion while creating a look that didn’t feel heavy. Amy is a professional. She did a number of people in my bridal party (bridesmaids, mothers, grandmothers), she was punctual and traveled to us. I had a number of Spanish only speakers in my party and her manner made them feel at ease. She asks questions on what you like, and will incorporate feedback into your final look after trials. She also kept in touch to recommended pre-wedding day skin care routine and what lipstick to get to touch up during my wedding day. I would recommend her again in a heartbeat.
