I had a general idea of the look I wanted and she was very helpful in offering her opinion and expertise to finetune the details. The trial was fun and thorough and I enjoyed chatting with her. Amy also crafted a great timeline for the day so that we were relaxed and not rushed, and I was even able to enjoy some downtime on a crazy day. Tara also did a great job with my family members hair and makeup and everyone was happy with how they looked. I would recommend Amy and her team to anyone in a heartbeat!

I found Amy on The Knot and compared many galleries before I confirmed my instinct - that she was The Choice for my bridal hair and makeup. It's so hard to find one stylist who does BOTH equally well. From our first meeting it was clear Amy had solid experience doing wedding makeup, and had good tips and reminders. Our trial was a dream - her home studio is super cute and cozy and she kept me both entertained and refreshed with beverages. She was super understanding when I was running late (had a 2.5-hour drive to get to her!) She took my feedback well and offered her own. She hand-curled every strand of my very long purple hair, which took hours, like it was nothing! And she had at least one other hours-long trial after me (if not more). It's clear that Amy is not only passionate about what she does, but is extremely talented and gifted. She was super responsive via email leading up to wedding day, and was very flexible to working with my natural curl texture and those of my small bridal party as well. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out - I had such a fun, relaxed morning getting ready with Amy, her assistant, and my girls. We laughed and had some memorable moments before the ceremony, and Amy even provided me with a custom bridal touch-up kit. She was so kind, thoughtful, fun, and talented. I couldn't recommend her any more highly!!

Amy and her team were hired for my sister’s wedding. They were on time. They were warm and inviting. They listened to what I wanted for my hair and make up. They did our hair and make up at my parents’ home. They adapted to the space and used what we had. My hair and make up lasted from 7am-2am. I looked just as amazing at the end of the night as I did first thing in the morning. Amy made sure every single girl in the wedding party and my mom looked their best beautiful self. I cannot express how much I loved working with Amy. She absolutely nailed my bridal look! Aside from being a talented artist, she is filled with practical tips/advice and always makes herself available through email or a call. I was definitely more of a Type B bride and I couldn't have done it without Amy. She sent follow-up emails, put together a detailed schedule of events, and was able to make adjustments on the fly. She was SUCH a calming presence on the day of the wedding as was her team of makeup/hair artists. They were flexible and able to recreate any look that my bridesmaids asked for. Amy and her team were the best! I do not usually wear a lot of makeup and I have big curly hair that I did not want to straighten. Amy did my hair and makeup for my family’s newborn shoot, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She was incredibly accommodating, professional, and personable. She made getting ready for the shoot so comfortable and relaxed — which, as a new mom, I so appreciated. She brought the best energy; she’s so positive and upbeat and it’s very clear how much pride she takes in her work. My hair and makeup both turned out amazing! On our first call I immediately knew I wanted to book her - not only did her pictures/instagram reflect looks I wanted but hearing how she schedules the bride/anyone else getting hair/makeup for the day of left me with a sense of ease I didn't realize I would need! Amy is amazing! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and my MOH. When I met Amy for my trial, I had an idea of what I wanted my makeup to look like but really was looking for some guidance. She listened to my ideas and came up with a plan before she started working on me. She talked me into wearing eyelash extensions which I was weary about at first but ended up loving in the end! Amy was always very easy to get in touch with and was always very professional. She is great at what she does! She was extremely punctual which I appreciated on the day of the wedding!! Amy provided makeup services for me (the bride), my two bridesmaids, MOB, MOG and sister in law. She is extremely organized and professional and was a joy to work with throughout the planning process. I did a makeup trial with Amy prior to the wedding which helped me figure out the look I wanted on my wedding day. Amy checked in periodically leading up to the wedding which I greatly appreciate because it is such a stressful time! Amy did wedding makeup for me and my bridesmaids and I would highly recommend her! I had my makeup artist fall through a couple of weeks before my wedding and Amy had a last-minute cancellation; she really came through for me in a pinch and even managed to fit me in for a trial. She is professional, super organized, and does beautiful makeup with such attention to detail. She nailed it with a light makeup look that still read well on camera and held up all day and night (no creasing!). I felt beautiful and confident and you should hire her!

WOW where do I even begin!! Amy made me feel like the most beautiful bride! From our first call we hit it off, and I knew she was the one for my big day! I was beyond happy with Amy and all that she brought to my wedding. As a performer I am used to wearing makeup and am VERY picky about it. But I never had to address anything with Amy because she is just that good. I had people telling me all night how good my makeup looked and it came out flawlessly in the photos! She also brought a second artist on the day due to the number of services I needed and she was amazing as well (Yessy). I cannot recommend her enough. Amy is amazing! She is so fun to work with and very talented. Amy was 100% ready for me when I got to her. She had a look planned and was prepared to execute. The look she came up with for my dark skin was phenomenal and she even got my kinky curly hair super straight. Natural curly girls are always concentres with the hair reverting to curly after such a flawless straightening but Amy did such an amazing job it was back to its kinky curly natural state when I washed it. The look complemented my best features and made me feel like the most stunning bride for my trial. Amy is incredible and I trust no one else with such a feat.

It is so difficult to put into words how amazing Amy is! To begin, Amy is one of the amazingly beautiful vendors who participated in the Erica Leman - Sweet Alice Photography wedding giveaway in memory of the loss of my Dad. She graciously donated her time and expertise without a second thought. I personally do not wear a lot of makeup - but Amy listened to exactly what my style was and somehow captured my true self. It was my luck that she had that day open, and she delivered way beyond my expectations. I am a pretty low maintenance woman, so wedding hair dos and makeup aren't my knack. Top Notch Glam Squad! My MUA had to cancel 2 months before the wedding and I lucked out that Amy was still available. Amy is so talented - I have never felt so beautiful in my entire life and I could tell my girls felt the same way. She knew exactly what I wanted even when I didn't know the words to put with it. She adjusted on the fly when the weather got crazy and I asked to make a small change. My make-up didn't budge even after the last dance (red lip included!) and my hair still looked perfectly undone. Being a fairly new resident to the Hudson Valley area, I was super nervous in my search for a hair stylist for my wedding day..I found Amy online and was immediately sold! Her portfolio and reviews won me right over. She traveled two hours to me, was early, attentive, and so so professional! My hair was perfection all day and night! I am a wedding photographer who has had the absolute pleasure of working with Amy. There are 3 things as a photographer that are super important when it comes to hair and makeup: A) that the artist keeps on time B) that the artist's work lasts all day C) the artist's work is high quality and looks flawless. And Amy NAILS all three of these. My bride (and her bridesmaids!) that Amy worked with had FLAWLESS makeup, even after breaking it down on the dance floor. It literally looked the same at the reception as it did when first applied. The quality of her work is impeccable and she is incredibly easy to work with! Do yourself a favor and stop wasting time mulling it over, because while you do that someone else is snatching her up for your date (she's THAT incredible, no joke!)

It was wonderful to work with Beauty by Amy Elizabeth. It's very important to me to feel comfortable with my makeup artist and when I went to get my hair and makeup trial, I was so happy to know that Amy is a super sweet person. She helped me discover that my veil was a little wonky and I rushed to get a new one (thank goodness this didn't happen the day of the wedding) The makeup and hair were wonderful, I still get compliments on how wonderful everyone looked that day. On the day of the wedding there were two people and it felt like having two friends present. I very much recommend Amy for any bride that wants to look absolutely gorgeous on her big day and be stress free.
