Choosing my hair and make up team for my wedding day was very nerve wracking for me as I usually do not like any professional make up done on me and often prefer to do it myself. H...
owever, the hair and make up artists at Beauty by Ann Krause truly changed that for me. It was very important for me to have a trial run of both my hair and make up and both Viki (make up) and Aneisha (hair) really listened to my concerns and my vision and brought it to life. On my wedding day, they remembered small conversations we had had during our trial run and really made the entire experience feel very personal. They listened to my feedback from the trial run and gave me the most beautiful bridal hair and make up I could have asked for. It was a wonderful experience overall and I would recommend their services to anyone looking for beauty services for their wedding!
Choosing a hair and makeup team for your wedding can feel overwhelming. There are so many talented artists out there, and it can be hard to know who will make you look like the bes...
t version of you. After working with Beauty by Ann Krause, I can confidently say I found my dream team.
From our very first interaction, I felt completely at ease. Ann is incredibly professional, and her online portal made scheduling, communication, contracts, and timelines so organized and stress-free. Every step of the process gave me confidence that I was in excellent hands.
Ann did my hair, and from the trial onward, I knew I was working with a true artist. She carefully documented everything with photos, and on the wedding day we talked through a few tweaks based on my trial. I mentioned that I wanted the style to feel a little softer and less structured. She immediately understood exactly what I meant and went to work.
I'll admit, there was a moment halfway through styling where I caught a glimpse of myself and thought, "Trust the process!" I looked a little like Dianne Wiest's character in Edward Scissorhands. But that's the thing about true professionals—they see the finished masterpiece long before you do. By the end, my hair was absolutely perfect. The moral of the story: trust Ann's vision, and trust the process.
Christy Wielosinski handled my makeup, and she was every bit as incredible. As someone who genuinely loves makeup, I couldn't help but admire—and occasionally peek into—her kit. Her approach wasn't about transforming me into someone else; it was about enhancing what was already there. She created the most beautiful, glowing look that photographed wonderfully while still feeling completely like me.
One of the best decisions I made was keeping both Ann and Christy through the reception for touch-ups. They made sure I looked fresh from the first photo of the day through a grueling afternoon of photos and lots of happy tears. Knowing they were there allowed me to relax and simply enjoy every moment.
What I appreciate most about Beauty by Ann Krause is the philosophy behind the artistry. Ann believes your wedding hair and makeup should make you feel like the most beautiful version of yourself—not like someone you barely recognize in your photos. That balance is incredibly difficult to achieve, and Ann and Christy mastered it effortlessly.
I am so grateful for their talent, professionalism, and kindness. They made me feel beautiful, confident, and completely myself on one of the most important days of my life. I couldn't recommend Beauty by Ann Krause more highly.

comfortable with the team during my trial and was able to play around with different looks. On the day, the artists were early and extremely timely when keeping to the schedule. As someone who almost never wears makeup, I appreciated that the artists worked to make me feel like me but also elevated and beautiful on my big day. I was blown away by my final hair and makeup, which lasted until the very last dance! Thank you for making me feel beautiful!!

My hair and makeup turned out even better than I imagined! Everything lasted perfectly through happy tears, hugs, dancing, and hours of celebration. All of my bridesmaids looked stunning, and everyone commented on how natural yet flawless the looks were.
Beyond their talent, the team was so kind, professional, and fun to be around. They truly made the morning of the wedding one of my favorite parts of the entire day. If you’re looking for a beauty team that’s both incredibly skilled and genuinely wonderful to work with, I can’t recommend Ann and her team enough!

! From my trial run to my big day, I felt so supported along every step of the way and trusted them wholeheartedly to make me feel like the best version of myself on my wedding day. Each of the looks for the girls lasted all day long, and they all couldn’t stop raving about the hair and makeup services. I also can’t speak highly enough of how genuinely fun each artist was to be around, and the calm presence that they bring to the morning of a big day. Extended services with Ann and Viki were also an extremely appreciated option to have the comfort of my beauty team providing touch ups along the way from first look, to wedding party pictures, to the ceremony, ensuring I looked my best every step of the way. I can’t possibly recommend Ann and her team enough!
I HIGHLY recommend Beauty by Ann Krause any day! From the very beginning, Ann’s communication was exceptional — she provided clear instructions for both the prep leading up to the ...
wedding and the day-of schedule, which made the entire process stress-free. The trial was such a collaborative experience; Ann who did my hair and Giselle Dozier who did my make-up (same for trial and wedding day) really listened to my vision, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made sure I felt confident in the final look.
On the wedding day, the team was both professional and incredibly caring, creating a calm and joyful atmosphere while keeping everything running smoothly. They didn’t mind I wanted to film a fun getting ready video and kept everything on schedule. My hair and makeup turned out absolutely amazing — exactly what I had envisioned, and it lasted beautifully through happy tears, dancing, and hours of celebration. Truly a dream experience from start to finish!

he morning of my wedding. Ann and Laura did a beautiful job on my and my party's hair and makeup. They both really took the time to listen to everyone's needs, and no one ever felt rushed. My hair and makeup held up through the whole wedding and even looked great at the bar during the after party. I would absolutely book Ann and Laura again and recommend them to anyone who asks!

minimal, so I was a bit nervous about how to properly communicate what I wanted in my wedding look because I wasn't sure I had the right vocabulary. Ann and Brittany took the time to look at several photos with me and break down the elements I liked from each one to make sure my bridal hair and makeup were absolutely perfect. I really appreciated the personalized approach and patient communication! On my wedding day, Ann and her team were on time, well-organized, and very efficient! Everyone loved their looks and they lasted well into the night. Thank you, Ann!!!

bridesmaids' looks turned out. No one looked overdone. Giselle was also incredible and really listened to my concern for the airbrush to match my natural skin color as I had previously had bad experiences of looking too orange. I was in love with the final outcome of my wedding day look!

a great job! Ann was organized and very helpful leading up to the big day. I gave them a few tips after my hair and makeup trial, and I felt like Ann and Laura really took them into consideration for my wedding day and I LOVED my entire look! I also loved the convenience of having my hair and makeup artists be combined so I only had to work with one vendor and everything was coordinated together. I got married on a really windy day and Ann made sure my veil was very secure and wouldn't fly away! Would highly recommend Ann and her team!!

After my trial, I asked for a few changes to my makeup and Tilly absolutely nailed what I was looking for. My hair held all day, and makeup didn’t even need the touch up kit that Ann provides! My bridesmaids absolutely loved working with Ann & Tilly too!

e when it came to our scheduling and timeline. Also, she was able to accommodate multiple hair-styles for me to test our during my trial because I was unsure about what I wanted to go with for sure on my wedding day, which I appreciated so much. It was also very nice to just have Ann coordinating both hair and makeup rather than managing multiple vendors/schedules - she does it all! Her team - Paige, Viki, and Giselle - all did beautiful work on my wedding day. I loved my look so much and so did my bridal party! Would highly recommend Ann and her team!

things beauty, but she's also so approachable and kind. The aestheticians we worked with (Jamie did our hair, and Vicki did our makeup) were so talented, professional, and a joy to spend the day with! I was a particularly nervous bride (I'm not the best at pictures and being the center of attention), and they put me right at ease. Vicki even took some of my favorite pics from our wedding day. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Ann for any beauty needs! (She also gave me a haircut before our wedding day! This was such a great way to become acquainted with her and the company, and she's really so gifted.) Hire Ann Krause Beauty! You won't regret it.

ran a truly great business. Ann is a clear communicator and extremely organized - I never worried for a moment about my wedding day beauty! She always responded quickly to all of my inquiries and worked seamlessly with all of my other vendors to ensure our day was set up for success. She is so knowledgeable not only about everything beauty, but also the wedding industry and was such a great resource for me throughout the year leading up to the wedding. She really knows her stuff! Ann went above and beyond to accommodate all of my bridesmaids and their schedules, and was super flexible when last minute changes to our getting ready timeline arose. She did this with the utmost grace and professionalism. Ann and her team work well under pressure and kept things fun and calm on the Big Day. Everyone loved their look! Do not hesitate to bring on Beauty by Ann Krause for your wedding day - you will have an amazing professional who truly cares about her clients and you’re going to look amazing!
Ann and her team were wonderful! They listed and translated my vision into reality! Highly recommend!!
Anne is perfect. I think I said as much on the day of the trial, the days leading up to the actual wedding, and several times on the actual wedding day.
My biggest concern with m...
y hair for my wedding day was the fact that it is naturally curly with a mind of its own. It was really important to me that I look like ME on my wedding day, so I wanted to find someone who could help me harness the crazy to do a curly style for the day. I wasn't interested in doing a straight style or a blow out but was really hoping to find a stylist who would embrace the natural curl, and help me come up with a style that would stay put all day but still let that element shine. Anne is 100% that person.
We did a trial a month or so before the wedding, and actually landed on two different styles I couldn't decide between. One was a half up half down style with some small natural ringlet curls in front, and the other was the same but with the back in a low, loose bun with some stray tendrils. Anne came up with an incredible idea to incorporate BOTH by starting off with the half up look for the photos pre-ceremony (so first look and then the outdoor photos with the bridal party) and the move to the low bun before the walk down the aisle. This also led to us deciding to keep Anne and one of the makeup artists on for touchups up until the ceremony and I could NOT recommend anything more! It worked out absolutely perfectly, and I am so glad we had the touch up help as we battled the Chicago Autumn wind and my curly hair. The first style was so much fun and such a great vibe for the photos with our friends, and the second look with the low bun just added that extra bit of elegance for the ceremony and dinner.
Anne truly made such a world of difference for our day, absolutely 10/10 would recommend!

beauty, I could not have been more thrilled. I have naturally curly hair and was overwhelmed by my desire to not wear my hair with its natural curl. Ann looked through my many inspo photos, helping me craft a vision during the trial. While I loved my hair and makeup during the trial, I had a few things I wanted to adjust. Ann’s team was beyond receptive to my asks, things like a lighter lip color or lighter eyeliner, reminding me that this was all for MY wedding day. By the time my wedding day came, I had placed my full trust in the team. I absolutely loved my final hair and makeup for the day, feeling confident and beautiful, but also still myself. My bridesmaids, flower girl and MOB/MOG adored their various hair and makeup styles, many in absolute awe at the way the team made them feel so uniquely beautiful. (One of my flower girls proceeded to tell everyone - and I mean everyone - about her “famous” and “cool” makeup artist throughout the reception) I could rave on and on because Beauty by Ann Krause took me from an anxious and insecure woman to the most confident version of myself.

d everything I had envisioned. From engagement photos to trial run to the day of, I had no worries about looking like anything but the best version of myself. I was definitely a little picky about the amount of poof my hair had (I'm not a poofy hair gal) and I think Ann was able to nail it completely. The makeup? STUNNING. No words can describe how amazing Tilly made me feel. It was exactly what I had asked for/ envisioned to the tee. PERFECT.
All of my bridal party looked gorgeous, from those who wanted a full face to those who went with the bare minimum. I think everyone ended up happy despite having some very picky bridal party members.
And communication wise? Ann was so on top of things, I never felt like I had to chase her down. I honestly felt like I just didn't have to worry because I knew Ann would reach out when the time came. Ann's team was also just really fun to be around the morning of! They helped the morning run smoothly and added to the fun vibes.
I would definitely hire Ann and her team again. 12/10!

They took the time to understand my vision and preferences, and their attention to detail was remarkable. Ann created a hairstyle that perfectly suited my bridal look, and Tilly's makeup artistry was simply magical. Not only did they make me feel like a radiant bride, but my bridesmaids were equally thrilled with their hair and makeup. The entire bridal party looked stunning, and the cohesive and flawless looks they created left me in awe. I cannot recommend Ann and Tilly enough for their professionalism, skill, and ability to make the entire experience so memorable and enjoyable.

id great work, as well. Ann was very in tune with what I liked and the examples I shared with her, and helped put my vision together perfectly. I felt the pricing was very reasonable, too! I appreciated that Ann really used my trial run for hair as a point of feedback and an opportunity to touch base on what I liked and didn't like. I felt like we were really connected in working towards the day-of look and it all came together perfectly as envisioned. She also was so organized when it came to putting together the day-of timeline and making sure that our day was on-track. I also worked with Ann on my rehearsal dinner look and it was a knockout. It was such a pleasure to work with Ann and I'd definitely recommend her!

both so calm and relaxed it made me feel cared for on what is a busy day. Ann was also helpful in ensuring my bridal party and the mother of the bride and mother of the groom’s needs were met. My sisters have curly hair and they have been burned in the past I’m having their hair done for occasions like this and they both loved their looks and felt like themselves. I absolutely recommend Ann and her team for your special day!
Ann and her team were so great to work with! My husband and I had our wedding ceremony in our home in April of 2020 due to Covid and postponed our wedding reception 3 times due to ...
city restrictions. Ann was incredibly understanding even though this was something new she was also navigating. We finally had our wedding celebration in April of 2022 and the hair and makeup for the entire bridal party and moms was stunning. I specifically picked Ann for my hair and makeup because she mentioned she worked with curly hair. It was important to me to maintain my natural curl and every other vendor I came across was only willing to blow out and recurl my hair which wasn't the look I was going for. Ann did an amazing job and I received so many compliments on my hair that day. If I ever need hair and makeup for an event in the future, I will certainly reach back out to her. Not only is she professional and takes feedback well, but she's also just a lovely person to spend your wedding morning with! Highly recommend!
