MaCalah did hair and makeup for my July 2024 wedding - everything went perfect! She understood exactly what I wanted when I went for the trial, and recreated the look just right on the wedding day; the bridesmaids were all very happy with their looks as well. MaCalah was punctual and efficient - we ended up finishing way ahead of schedule! Definitely recommend💖

I get life happens, but with this industry and you sign up a year prior for a WEDDING and to cancel ONE HOUR before you’re supposed to arrive for hair and make up on the wedding day is absolutely unacceptable. No bride should EVER have to wake up to a text saying you can’t make it for both hair and make up. There should have been a back up plan on your end and it should have been handled. Thank god we love and care for our bride and were able to find a replacement. This is unheard of. 10/10 do NOT recommend. Unprofessional.

e context regarding my recent absence because I have been blocked on almost all platforms and to continue expressing my sincere apologies to the bride for any inconvenience it may have caused. I briefly mentioned to the bride that I have been experiencing serious pregnancy complications, which have necessitated several hospital visits. Unfortunately, this situation required me to seek emergency care late at night, as advised by my obstetricians, and I was unable to fulfill my commitment as soon as I had hoped. I fully understand the challenges that can arise when someone is unable to attend an event at the last minute. Please know that this was not a matter of simply bailing; I have always taken my responsibilities to my brides very seriously, as they are vital to my livelihood and support for my children. I am immensely grateful for the trust they place in me. I genuinely regret that you and the bridesmaids had to deal with the consequences of circumstances beyond my control. I appreciate your understanding, and I was relieved to hear that the bride was receptive to my suggestions for alternative artists. I am glad you were able to find someone to assist. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED MY MAKEUP!!! MaCalah was so professional during my entire makeup session. I found MaCalah on a local wedding Facebook group, and I'm so glad I did! We scheduled a trial first that way we could figure out a plan for the wedding day. I was a little nervous at first because I've only had hair and makeup done once before, but as soon as we started chatting I knew I was in good hands. She did phenomenal! On the big day, she arrived on time and setup quick. She managed to do all four of my bridesmaids, my daughter (age 8), my mom, and me all on her own! She's extremely talented and everyone loved their hair/makeup. You won't regret hiring MaCalah!
