Beauty by Tania On-Location Makeup and Hairstylist

Tania did a fabulous job on my up do for the Marine Corps ball! I walked in to a clean, well organized, prepared room. She had everything laid out ready to go and immediately welcomed me with open arms. I was even about 15 minutes early and she gladly welcomed me in to start earlier than scheduled. She was personable and friendly and immediately began to help me identify what it was that I envisioned for my hair. She listened to what I did not want (stiff bangs, tons of hairspray that would make my hair look dark, etc.) and instead focused on what I truly wanted. I had brought a few pictures on my phone from pinterest and found that the two styles I loved most were slightly opposite. Therefore, Tania was able to help me pick out what specifically I liked most about them each and was able to do a mix of the two. She was patient and would ask me every few minutes how I liked it and told me to tell her immediately if there was a part or strand of hair that was bugging me or that I didn't like the placement of. She didn't take offense at all when I picked out two pieces that I felt like were too wispy and was accommodating when I asked her to make them more structured. She did a fantastic job securing the up do and giving it a unique look with some structure and style. It was a perfect balance of organized and complete but with a light and breezy/beachy look. I was in and out of there in less than an hour and a half and walked out feeling confident. I am very particular about my bangs and she did a great job letting me space them and play with them until they were the way I wanted before she curled/styled them so that they'd cover my forehead (which I am self conscious about). I can't say enough nice things about Tania, her home studio/set up, and her skills as a stylist. I walked out feeling like a million bucks and would go back to have her do my hair again in a heartbeat! Thank you Tania for a stunning and beautiful up do!

Tania is terrific - she's very experienced and she really listens to you while making thoughtful suggestions and explaining the whole process. She's very responsive on email and easy to deal with. She's also a super nice person who will make you feel comfortable even when the stress is building. I recommend doing a makeup trial so you have the opportunity to meet Tania before everything gets too crazy. It will make you feel more confident on the day to see your bridal look beforehand and you'll have the chance to make adjustments if the reality doesn't gel with your vision. Let's face it, many of us don't wear that kind of makeup often - if ever. We have no idea how it will look until it's done - so it's a worthwhile investment if you can stretch your budget that far. I had reservations about my initial glamour vision after the trial - Tania had done what I asked but I felt it looked too much. So we agreed to tone things down and go more natural on the day. The look she gave me for the ceremony was just right. Tania turned me and my bride (who never wears makeup) into confident airbrushed queens - no mean feat. Tania - you are tops!

I met Tania at a wedding workshop a year ago. After seeing her portfolio, I knew immediately that she’s the one I wanted to book for my hair and make-up. I told her that I wanted to look elegant on my wedding day, and she made suggestions what make-up and hairstyle would work for me. She asked me to bring pictures of inspirations and she nailed the look I wanted. She was able to do the same look during the trial, our pictorial day, and on the actual wedding day. We had a last minute change of location and she was quick to accommodate our needs. She was always on time and very organized. She was amazing and so much fun to work with. She was always putting me at ease especially the day of the wedding. She also did my family’s hair and make-up and she was able to finish ahead of time. My make-up and hair stayed up all through the event and I hardly did a touch-up. Tania was absolutely phenomenal on my wedding day! I had my hair and makeup trial two days prior and explained to Tania exactly how I wanted my hair to look as well as showing her pictures of the hair/makeup look I wanted. She immediately worked her magic and gave me the look I wanted - and it was actually better than I imagined. I also had my bridesmaids hair and makeup done and we were all ready to go on time. Both of my bridesmaids even complimented me on how stellar she was. If I ever come back to Oahu and have an event to attend, I'll hire Tania to do my makeup any day!

At first I wasn't going to hire for makeup and hair, but last minute changed my mind. I believe in fate, because I met Tania at The Wedding Cafe Wednesday Workshop and so glad that I did. From the moment I met her, I expressed my insecurities. But she made me feel so comfortable and actually said that my hair texture was the best to work with! At the workshop she gave us so much information on beauty all together and so I knew she knew her stuff! I've just had my trial and couldn't feel more pleased. Her home studio was real comfortable and she was well prepared with all her beauty supplies. She started with seeing pics of the look I wanted and immediately she gave me very helpful tips on my look. With each application she talked and described everything to me. I didn't feel "in the dark" because she had me look and tell her whether or not I liked what she was building. I felt in control, yet she guided me so nicely. She always discussed color choices and tested them on me, until I found something I really liked. I literally kept saying wow, "I look so pretty" as she did my makeupTania was so easy going and made me feel so comfortable on my wedding morning. She was on time and had all her equipment and makeup and was ready to jump right in! I started to get a little stressed with the groom, my son and all the kids in our hotel room but she was so professional and so kind and in her zone. With the two (antsy) flower girls she made them feel So comfortable with what they wanted to do with their hair and their makeup was just right. She reminded me of my auntie putting make up on me when we were younger. When she showed me the mirror, I was extremely pleased with how I looked. In all my pictures I actually looked radiant. But it didn't look like I had my face plastered with make up. My hair was so nicely done with beautiful big curls. I wish I could include a picture of what I looked like after about 10 hours of outdoor pics in the wind, eating and dancing the night away. I am a no maintenance 61 year old mother-of-the bride who was transformed by Tania with her skillful hair and make-up. My hair was done up in an up-do so well that I kept it in the following day. My daughter the bride, had a hairstyle exactly how she envisioned. Tania kept calm and was incredibly sweet. She provided tips on beauty as well as things to do in the area. She ended up doing hair for 6 of us - some requested her service after they saw what a great job she did. She was timely, well-prepared and drop dead gorgeous to boot! Tania helped my hair and make up on my wedding day. I just send her my picture of face and desired hair style picture which I picked up from a internet. I have a facial deformity on my left side of face, so it must was a not easy job for her to do this an ordinary bride hair and make up. But she did her best and transformed me to a beautiful bride. She listened what I wanted to be. Also she is very pleasant and kind. We (my family) really enjoyed chatting with her. She is awesome person!

Tania made me look like a princess on the day. My makeup was very natural and I received lots of compliments on my hair. I was always scared that my wedding makeup artist wouldn't be able to do Asian makeup well, but I loved my makeup on my wedding day. She even gave me advice on what wedding hair to have at what wedding location (my location was a bit windy, so the hairstyle she selected kept my hair in one place). I was on the fence about whether to have someone do my hair and makeup for my casual beach wedding so I ended up reaching out to Tania late in the game. She was so great to work with from the very first communication. I offered to bring her a check for my deposit when I arrived in Oahu, but she encouraged me to relax and wait until the wedding day for payment. On the day of, she brought an assistant... they were both extremely professional and friendly. The makeup was the best!! Tania listened to what I wanted (light makeup, very natural look) so that I ended up looking like myself (but the best version of myself). She was very good about asking my opinion before each step...it was really great. Once my mom saw me in my makeup she decided to get her makeup done as well, and Tania made time for her! For the hair, I had already done a trial run with my hairstylist here in California, but there were a couple of problems that I wasn't sure how Tania would solve. (I have very fine hair and the style I wanted had the potential to make it look like I have bald spots.) Tania was such a pro and made the style look even better than it had here. At first I thought the hair looked a little too "big," but I think I'm just not used to seeing my hair so full! I only wish that I had done a trial run...it would have set my mind at ease. My bridesmaid chose a style that was very different from the one I had - seems like Tania can do it all. Overall, this was a really positive experience. And the pricing was really reasonable. I would certainly recommend Beauty by Tania to anyone!

I got married just over a week ago and my wedding planner suggested Tania for hair & make-up. I'm so glad she did! We did a hair & make-up test a few weeks prior to the wedding and Tania immediately put me at ease. I am a hair and make-up novice, and she gave me her opinions on what would look nice while taking into account the ideas that I had and my own tastes. The day of the wedding, I had my hair and make-up done as well as the hair of my two maids of honor. Tania arrived early with her assistant, and they worked diligently and thoroughly to get us ready on time! The hair and make-up was perfect; my hair did not move out of place throughout many hours of dancing at the reception, and my make-up (including the lipstick) stayed put. I can only recommend Tania!

Tania was great! She was right on time and kept the schedule! She was even able to squeeze in an unexpected client. She was very friendly, I did a trial for my hair and she did it as if it were my wedding day, she used all of the products and it lasted all day for me! She was really fantastic! I showed her a picture of the style I wanted and she continuously referenced it to make sure she got as close to the picture as she could. I really appreciated that. I'd highly recommend her. She was one of the few vendors I hired for my wedding that I had no issues with! I hired her to do hair for me, my bridal party and mother's of bride and groom.

Tania was absolutely amazing! I was married in Oahu in May 2014, and needed someone to do my hair as well as make-up for myself and my MOH. I found Tania online, and was impressed with her portfolio (on her website, pinterest, and Facebook), so I contacted her. Her prices were very reasonable, and she was very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. Since I was a destination bride, I didn't have a chance to do a pre-wedding consultation or trial run. I brought some ideas with me for colors and styles, and then just let Tania do her thing. She asked for my opinions on options she presented, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. My updo was gorgeous, and stayed that way all night, even in the humidity! And my make-up has never looked so pretty, both in person and in the pictures. Tania kept me calm and comfortable throughout the entire getting-ready process, so when I was done, I felt the way every bride should feel...like I have never been more beautiful. I highly recommend Tania!

Tania provides the makeup and hair styling for two moms and bride (me), she arrives on time and work efficiently. We did the trial session one day before the wedding, and she took the note carefully and applied exactly the same thing (or even better) on me on the wedding day. I am satisfied by her service. My makeup is very natural as I requested and I am satisfied.

Tania is such a lovely person and is such a calming influence on the big day. I was really ahppy that she used MAC products and specifically chooses lines for weddings, such as the long lasting lipstick range - this was amazing as it lasted the ENTIRE DAY. She arrives very promtly and sets up quickly wating no time. I was also pleasantly surprised how quickly she can do an amazing updo! She is always open to feedback and wants to make sure you are comfortable with the look and she slowly builds. I am a pretty picky person and probably requested a lot more details in my hair and make up services than most which made her run a little behind and consequently we ran a bit late for our scheduled departure time for our ceremony. But apart from that, i highly recommend!!

Tania did my dramatic make up and elaborate updo for my destination wedding. She was on time, complimentary, and put me at ease (three important things on your wedding day!). She did an amazing job of playing up my best features, and the gasps (positive, not horrified) of guests as I walked down the aisle were a testament to her work! She asked what look I was going for, and made some good suggestions when I lacked a strong vision. I went with a smokey eye, and a chignon with a braid detail and art deco hair clip. Even my dad said he had never seen me look so good (trust dad to give me a backhanded compliment).

I was really happy with my hair and makeup by Tania, she really listened to what I wanted and also made sure we had everything perfect at the trial. Given that I was a destination Bride i relied on my wedding planner to choose my stylist which really paid off. Not only is she talented with make up and hair she has a positive happy personality which was important for my wedding day. Each of my bridesmaids wanted slightly different hairstyles and Tania incorporated this look whilst still making everything match. She can also curl lashes sky high so no need to get fake lashes! I recommend her services to any bride.

Tania was quick to respond to email queries the whole way through - from initial quote to confirming appointment making the finding a hair and makeup vendor process easy. On the day Tania was on schedule and I felt very at ease with her. She did a fantastic job and asked all the right questions to find out what I wanted. Fabulous value for money with superior service. I recently had Tania do hair only for myself (bride) 5 bridesmaid and my mom. Tania was so sweet and nice. She is also extremely prompt when returning emails which made things a lot less stressful. I had emailed another vendor who took at least a week and up to 2.5 weeks to get back to me. We had originally scheduled to have another persons hair done however it wasn't until that morning that she cancelled. Tania did not charge for her which was very much appreciated! I did not expect that at all. Tania arrived 10-15 min early (5am call time with a 10am wedding) and did an amazing job on everyone's hair including mine! I absolutely loved my hair and I can be a little particular. My hair and the curls lasted into the night through sun, wind, and dancing. I would recommend her to anyone!!

I highly recommend Tania. She loves working with brides, her energy is amazing. She is very sweet, very professional and works to get you the best look possible. We did a trial run which was great. In the trial she did one eye the way I visioned my wedding makeup and I had her do one the way she would for a blue eye. I am from California and decided to have a destination wedding in Hawaii on 10/12/13. My wedding planner was in charge of locating a beautician for my wedding and eventually arranged for Tania to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. On my wedding day Tania styled hair and did makeup for my maid of honor and I. Tania also styled my two flower girls' hair. Tania was understanding to my needs and met with me two days before the wedding for a trial hair and makeup session. I have oily skin and was concerned about my makeup holding up before the ceremony after an afternoon of picture taking in the humid weather. Tania was kind enough to respond to the wedding site in the evening to touch up hair and makeup for me and my maid of honor before i walked down the aisle. All brides want to look their absolute best on her wedding day and I was no different. I did a lot of research and did a trial run with my 3 top picks - it was pricey, but worth it. Tania stood out from the rest. Her home salon was very inviting and I loved how she was always professional, yet still made me feel at home and comfortable. I totally believe that if the person doing your hair and makeup does not look polished when they meet with you, then they probably won't meet your expectations. During our trial run Tania gave direction, various options based on the pictures I provided, and gave me feedback on what she felt would work best with my complexion, eye contour, and overall look I was trying to accomplish. On the day of, she met us at our hotel and was patient with us since we were running a bit late. She was amazing through it all. My hair and makeup was everything I had hoped and more. Ladies - it is pricey, but worth it. Spend the money and you'll get what you pay for.

Tania is truly amazing!! I absolutely loved her! I booked Tania the week that I was getting married on my photographers recommendation. I was so lucky that she was available. Tania arrived early to setup, and she was like a little machine....makeup for 7 ladies in a little over 4 hours. Tania was extremely professional, efficient, and relaxed on our hectic day. She completed hair and makeup for my three bridesmaids and myself in the allotted amount of time. Tania is an amazing makeup artist and stylist! I’m from California and had a destination wedding in Hawaii May 2013. I had a trial session with Tania 5 months prior to the wedding and she did a great job. I tried the airbrush foundation and fell in love with the flawless coverage and the way it made my skin feel very light. Tania was very accommodating, patient, and helpful throughout the trial. We tried 3 different hairstyles since I didn’t know which one I wanted. She made me feel at ease, listened to all my concerns, and offered alternate ideas and looks without being pushy. On the actual day Tania made me feel so beautiful! Everyone kept complimenting me and my makeup lasted all day. I get really oily on my t-zone; however I didn’t need any touch ups. My friend (who is a makeup artist) even said my makeup looked so fresh and this was towards the end of the night. Loved my purple smoky eye look. Tania did an amazing job on both my hair and makeup for my wedding. I had a trial session with her about two days before the actual wedding and showed her how I wanted my hair and makeup. I had a complicated hair design in mind but she worked with me and was able to replicate the hairstyle. I had many compliments on my hair and makeup that night (especially the hair). I'm also half Asian, and she was able to work with my bone structure/eye shape to make sure she brought out my best features. She also did two of my bridesmaids' hair and makeup (one Asian girl and one Caucasian girl) and they both looked fabulous, so I think she is very versatile in her makeup skills. Tania was very detail oriented, professional, and punctual. I would highly recommend Tania.

Tania was right on time the day of the wedding, consulted with both my sister and myself to get our thoughts on eye shadow coloring as well as hair ideas, and then went to work. She explained what she was doing as she worked and made sure we were both happy with the end result. Also, since I'm a destination bride, this was our first meeting, no consultation necessary. I couldn't have been more pleased with Tania's work and highly recommend her. If you're even considering having Tania as a part of your wedding preparations, just do it! I was in a terrible situation when my wedding coordinator failed to book hair and makeup services for me, and notified me of such just two weeks prior to the big day! I sent out a shotgun of e-mails crying for help at the last minute. Tania happened to be the first of many beauty specialists to respond to my pleas. After reading all of her positive reviews, I felt quite confident in using her. She was responsive and responsible prior to the wedding. On the day of, she was calm and kind. She was very attentive to my wishes and very flexible, considering that there was a lot of chaos going on around me while other last-minute preparations were occurring! She did a phenomenal job with both hair and makeup. Not only is she naturally artistic, she has had the education to polish her skills. She is very professional and kind. I don't know what other glowing things to write about Tania deJesus, except that my maid of honor and I looked and felt just beautiful after her job was done. To put it simply, you should use her!

I first met Tania in spring of 2011 for a hair and makeup trial run. I had done a trial run with another makeup artist a few days before seeing Tania but was not happy so I wanted to try someone else. I had seen Tania’s work on her website and I had a really good feeling about her. I knew right away when I met her that she was going to be my makeup artist on my wedding day! She was very professional, friendly, and easygoing the entire time during the trial run. We discussed different hair and makeup options. She was very patient and made suggestions, but was not pushy. I told her what I wanted and she went above and beyond my expectations! We ended up postponing our wedding to fall 2012 (one year later) and I contacted Tania to let her know that I still wanted to work with her. Even though it had been nearly two years since the trial run, she still had my file and kept in touch leading up to our new wedding date. On our wedding day, she arrived 15 minutes prior to our scheduled appointment time. I was impressed with how organized she was (she had photos and notes of my hair and makeup from the trial). We reviewed her notes and photos and she let me know that we could make changes if I wanted to. She did an amazing job and was so accommodating the entire time. I received lots of compliments on my hair and makeup that day. She also did two of my bridesmaids’ hair and makeup (both of different ethnicities) and they absolutely loved the final result! Tania did makeup and hair for me and my bridesmaids. My bridesmaids looked spectacular! I loved how she made them look, so natural and beautiful at the same time. I also loved my makeup too. I had the pleasure of doing a trial session with Tania a couple of months before the wedding. She was fun, friendly, professional, consultative and extremely attentive to detail. She is a great listener and included me in each step of the hair and make up process. She was able to capture exactly the look I wanted (natural but enough make up so that I felt special on the day). She took pictures which she emailed to me later and detailed notes to remind her of how to recreate the look on the actual wedding day. The night before my wedding I had very little sleep due to nerves, but Tania's calm and friendly attitude helped me to relax and start to enjoy myself when she arrived onsite to do my hair and make up. She also shared with me some expert, day-of tips about which side to put the flowers in my hair so that they would be in the pictures depending on which side of the archway I stood on. Little details like this I would never have thought of myself but was so grateful for her advice. I thought the less stress for the bride the better, and what better way than having the bride's hair and makeup done by a professional? She answered all my email inquiries from California in a prompt manner. We were able to pinpoint dates and times quickly. At our first meeting, my daughter had a preliminary trial hair and makeup day. Tania took the time to ask what type of makeup and styles she preferred and they were able to come up with a very personalized look! The prelim was done at Tania's studio in the Honolulu area. On the wedding day, she arrived promptly onsite. Tania quickly began her work. I must say that Tania has a very calming personality which is indispensable on that special day! She listens and is extremely helpful. My daughter was very happy with her wedding day hair and makeup. But, I can say she truly looked beautiful!

Tania did my hair and makeup for my wedding and 2 of my bridesmaids hair. We were all very pleased with the outcome. We enjoyed chit chatting with her while we got ready. It felt like she was one of the girls. She made sure our hair and makeup was exactly how we wanted it and that we felt comfortable. She even gave us tips on where to get flowers for our hair and put them in for us. I highly recommend her if you want a stress free hair/makeup session.

My hair is impossible to style and she did it with ease, I looked like a glamorous movie star instead of a cheesy glamour shot model. So diverse, she made everyone from my mother to my bridesmaids look flawless. Her team was prompt and professional!

I found Tania on this site when I was is need of someone to do my hair and makeup for my wedding ceremony on Oahu for 11/11/11. Her & her assistant, Sharon did a fantastic job! I received tons of compliments on my hair and makeup and I absolutely loved it! :) They were both very sweet and helpful, the ceremony was just my husband & I, so I needed help getting all dressed and ready and they helped me with that as well! After searching unsuccessfully for a reasonably priced hair/makeup artist for my destination wedding, our wedding coordinator (Dawn, The Romance Specialists) recommended Tania. Our wedding was low key and I was the only one needing hair/makeup service. Tania was fantastic, showing up at 5:30 AM to make sure I was ready in time for our 9:00 wedding. My hair and makeup were exactly what I was thinking of and stayed put even through the rain storm before and after our ceremony. I feel I received an excellent service for the price. Tania is definitely recommended!!

I met with Tania in September of 2009 for a hair and makeup trial. I went to her not knowing exactly what I wanted and she was really good about working with me and giving me some ideas. After she finished with me she took pictures and notes so we could remember how to reconstruct everything on the wedding day. A few months after my trial, I decided I wanted something completely different and she was open and flexible with giving me whatever I wanted. I arrived early on the wedding day and she was all set to work on me. We finished my makeup and hair in two hours (which is great since my hair is over 3 feet long)and everything looked perfect. It was a little surprising since we'd never tried that hair style before. Tania was very friendly and talkative the entire time and was even extremely accomodating when my paparazzi mom kept getting in her way to take pictures.

I met Tania when my friend was getting married and she had chosen Tania as her hair and makeup person. I was really pleased with her service at that time and decided to use her for my own wedding. She suggested doing a hair and makeup trial ($75), so I did that. I believe it was worth it because she took over 2.5 hours to discuss what I wanted and tried different eye makeup styles and figured out what colors looked best. On the wedding day, she arrived promptly at 8:30am with 2 assistants (one for hair and one for makeup because we had 9 people getting hair and makeup done). The morning went by quickly, and everyone's hair and makeup got done. Tania was professional and calming (I didn't feel stressed out at all) and I really liked how my hair and makeup looked. The makeup even stayed on even after I cried! It was nice to not have to worry about hair and makeup, and Tania was someone who I trusted to execute perfectly on that day - and she did!
