nd thoroughly. I wrote out what I wanted, and they sent me an email reply that set expectations clearly and from the start. I’ll admit, I was nervous about booking hair and makeup before I met with my artists. I do not wear makeup normally, and in the past, I’ve had hair stylists tell me my hair is too soft for my desired look. But my family and friends assured me I should not do my own makeup, so after reading a lot of reviews, I landed on Beauty Icon. Before I booked, I was able to get on the phone with their owner, Liza. Liza was sweet, patient, and offered me really thoughtful guidance. I opted to do a trial of my hair and makeup to see what direction I wanted for my wedding. I opted to work with Nina (hair) and Coco (makeup), who were absolutely fabulous! I arrived at the Beauty Icon midtown studio, and both women worked on me so carefully and thoughtfully. I showed Nina some hair inspiration, and she immediately reassured me that we could achieve my look. I showed Nina some inspiration photos, she asked questions to ensure she understood my vision, and then went to work. She checked in at various points, making sure I was happy with where she put my hair part and she listened to my feedback. The result was absolutely beautiful! My hair stayed in place all day! I had similar inspiration photos for makeup that I showed Coco, and she also talked me through my vision. When I told her I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis, she asked me really thoughtful questions about how I felt about certain products, like foundation or bronzer. Coco was really gentle on my face, and super thoughtful. Every few swipes during my trial, she asked me to check into a mirror to see what I thought. I was able to share my preferences, and Coco listened and took notes. You can tell that both of these women take such pride in her work. By the end of my trial, I felt so beautiful, and I felt like the best version of myself. My hair and makeup looked exactly how I envisioned it. I didn’t have much feedback, but the artists answered my questions thoroughly and kindly. On the morning of my wedding, I was exhausted. Nina and Coco both arrived on time to my hotel and their presence helped me to feel at ease. I invited my mom and aunt along with me, and they also got their hair and make up done. Nina (hair) and Coco (makeup) both consulted my mom and aunt on what their normal routine looks like, what they wanted done. They were treated with such warmth and kindness. When it was my turn, the artists went to work, referencing the notes they took during my trial. And both the hair and make up turned out perfectly. What’s more- my hair and makeup lasted all day!! My makeup did not crease and was vibrant through the end. My hair stayed in place in the loose waves I loved - despite having a very humid day and outdoor ceremony! Nina was able to style all of our hair so it would look perfect during our ceremony and photos. Even though my mom and I had to walk a few blocks from the hotel to our venue. I am so impressed. I joked with Coco that I should do my makeup more often because I felt so vibrant after she worked on me. I would love to work with Nina and Coco again for my hair and makeup. I highly recommend these artists and Beauty Icon as a whole.

She was also so helpful with touchups before the ceremony. Overall a great experience with Beauty Icon and I highly recommend their services and Farida specifically.

Eve’s talent shines through her natural, effortless touch — she enhanced my features beautifully without making me feel overdone. she was also such a calming presence on a day that was filled with excitement (and a little bit of stress!). Liza is genuinely one of the most personable, down-to-earth people, and she truly helped put me at ease. One of my favorite things about Liza is that she’s totally a girls’ girl. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law were driving me a bit crazy that day (including my sister-in-law blasting super loud, distracting music as we were getting ready). I was trying to keep the peace, but Liza noticed I was feeling anxious and gently asked if I wanted to change the music. I absolutely did! It was just the little reminder I needed that yes, this day is supposed to be about me (and my husband!). Her understanding and intuition were so appreciated! Liza also did a fabulous job on my mom’s hair and makeup—my mom looked absolutely gorgeous! I was so grateful Liza was able to stay a bit longer to touch up my mom’s look before we started the ceremony. My only regret is not asking her to stay later for touch-ups after my first-look photos- but you live and you learn! If you want someone who’s amazing at their craft and makes you feel comfortable and heard on your big day, go with Liza. She was everything I needed and more!

rt my vendors. Their team was flexible and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for for my bridal look, and completely nailed the more clean aesthetic I was going for. I truly looked the best I've ever looked, and the hair and makeup both latest the entirety of the day (12+ hours) without any touch-ups. I am so beyond impressed and will be using them again for any future events.

I knew I had found the right place after emailing with managers Dasha, Oxana, speaking with owner Liza on the phone, and meeting Violetta for a trial. Beauty Icon NYC truly stands behind its mission to draw out each person’s natural beauty and works with each person at their level of comfort with make-up. For any bride reading this who has had a less than ideal make-up trial with someone else or who doesn’t wear make-up regularly, please know you’re not alone and Beauty Icon NYC is an excellent studio to work with! Each person, myself included, who received make-up services looked and felt beautiful. Violetta is truly an artist and clearly so passionate about her work. I cannot recommend Violetta or Beauty Icon enough.

going for in my trial, I asked to do a trial with Eve and she hit it out of the park. She understood exactly what I was looking for and replicated my reference photo perfectly. Despite I’d be losing the deposit with the first MUA, I knew the switch had to happen - I was THAT blown away by Eve and knew she was the one. She was also so friendly, kind, funny, and a calming presence while getting ready on the big day.

Julia, Anna N, and Violetta, the expert artists who worked on my bridal party, ensured that everyone looked absolutely flawless with all of their different looks. They nailed every single look with true professionalism, making each member of the party feel special and beautiful. They emphasized the natural beauty of all of my girls. Behind the scenes, Oxana and Dasha were amazing. They were always kind, responsive, thorough, patient, and flexible. Their dedication and efficiency made the whole planning process seamless and stress-free. Everyone at Beauty Icon exemplified true professionalism, kindness, and the best energy of any team I’ve ever seen on a wedding day. ding. The coordination team is highly responsive and makes it so easy to organize and work with them. Our artist, Anastasia V was incredibly talented, patient, and calm. We are so glad she was our artist. I wanted to try a style she hadn't really done before and she was so patient as we worked together to figure out the best way to do it and it came out PERFECT. Many wedding guests were saying it was the first time the bride's hair out-did the dress. Both my mom and the groom's mom were also ecstatic and looked exactly how they had hoped. Thank you!!!

re modern hair & makeup techniques and looks that some older artists don't really understand. I hired them for my own bridal hair & makeup as well as my bridesmaids and mother of the bride/mother of the groom. Everyone agreed that it was the best hair & makeup they've ever had.

picky. I loved my make up and still do while looking at photos. I have never seen my mom so happy with her make up before. Liza was kind, patient, punctual, and went above and beyond. She even came with me to the ceremony and helped touch me up and helped me with things I didn’t even realize I needed help with. She helped me with my veil, tears, nerves, and dress. She took photos which she shared. My girls, whose make up her team did as well, were beautiful. I was initially hesitant about the price but you get what you pay for. She is worth every single penny. This was one of the biggest investments next to photography and video. Hire Liza! She’s incredible and you won’t regret it. Thank you for making me feel so beautiful and special on my day.

She also did my mom's hair and makeup and she felt amazing. We had Violetta and Mari for bridesmaids hair and makeup and everyone was so happy with how they looked. I'm literally trying to come up with excuses to have Galina do my glam again!

ed it. Besides just being a pleasure to work with (on time, organized, super accommodating and friendly to everyone), my wedding party looked so beautiful. I (the bride) loved how my hair and makeup came out (which is rare for me). Liza did my makeup and hair and it was perfect. I wanted something natural that enhanced my features. I did not want a heavy look and I wanted to look like myself, and that’s exactly what Liza did. Quality is superb.
