the day Liza and Anna B, Mai, and Jessica all came/set up early, somehow they finished 27 services (hair & make up) ahead of our timeline. All of the girls looked incredible. I joked that I did not feel relaxed on the day until I sat down in the chair with Liza and I have never felt/looked more beautiful. It was an unseasonably hot day in NYC and my hair and make-up lasted until I went to bed at 5am. Furthermore, my mom never wears make-up and was feeling very “old looking” leading up to the wedding. Liza was transformative, not only did my mom look gorgeous but more importantly, it restored her confidence. Thank you to Liza and her team for an incredible, relaxed morning, and enhancing the beauty and confidence of the most important women in my life.

Sophie — Thank you for your wonderful energy and for the amazing makeup work you did for my bridesmaids! They were all so happy and excited about how everything turned out, and everyone looks gorgeous in photos. Tara — What can I say? You are a miracle worker and an angel. During the trial, you patiently listened to my requests/vague descriptions and translated them into a look that worked for my features / hair. I was nervous because I have not had much experience with getting my hair and makeup done, but you explained the different options and your recommendations in a clear and informative manner that made me feel safe in your hands. I loved my trial looks, but you somehow stepped it up even more for the day of the wedding! You made me so beautiful and glamorous! I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup, especially from the groom , so thanks for that :). Finally, you are so sweet and fun to hang out with, and I’m very grateful that you were one of the people to help me get ready on the morning of my wedding.

za and Elena are kind, professional and extremely talented. I don't normally wear a lot of make up (neither do my bridesmaids) and I wanted to look like myself on my big day. They listened to my concerns, looked my inspo pics and DELIVERED! I felt amazing on my big day, and most importantly I looked like an elevated version of myself. My make up lasted through sweat, happy tears, a lots of partying. I have fine hair that doesn't hold a curl very well. Liza convinced me to get hair extensions to help, and blended it in so well I forgot I was wearing them. I can go on forever on how wonderful these women are!! I highly, highly recommend Beauty Icon NYC <3

On the day of our wedding, she extended the same patience and made sure I was comfortable in the ~3 hours we spent together :)

get Dasha and Anna up to speed for the next morning. I was a ball of nerves and very anxious about how it would go, especially since the previous artist had done my trial. It couldn't have been better. Dasha was so precise—down to the last curl and eyelash. Anna did just an incredible job with the moms and bridesmaids' makeup. They all loved talking to her, and felt so beautiful and confident the day of. Both Dasha and Anna were exceptionally professional and warm. I feel immensely lucky that we got to work with them, and am so grateful for their work.

My hair and makeup were absolutely perfect and I felt incredible for my wedding day. I can't wait to see photos my photographer took as the ones from peoples phones look amazing. I am forever thankful. Also, the stylists are so down to earth, calm, and kind, they were so easy to be around and also respectful of our needs and wants. They were also very accommodating, understanding, and professional. The manager Oxana was likewise very supportive and understanding in assisting me with scheduling. Also, I did my trial almost 5 months ago and Dasha had remembered what I needed/wanted (she also saved photos) and was able to deliver on that again. I loved them so much. as, once she got underway, I knew I had made the right decision. Her work was amazing and she made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. The rest of the Beauty Icon team was so friendly and professional and made my family look fabulous. Dasha was also so helpful in helping my mom get my veil in securely (we have a fun pic of this) and I would recommend Dasha and her services to anyone. The booking process was also very smooth - Oxana really helped put together the schedule (we started very early in the AM) and she made sure we had enough stylists to work with our party. I never had to worry about Beauty Icon and they were always responsive. Overall, amazing work and I would recommend them to any bride for her day!

makeup from the same vendor. My main makeup artist was Dasha, and I absolutely loved my hair trial as well as her demeanor--just super calming. Fast-forward to my wedding day and I felt so beautiful. Dasha nailed exactly what I wanted when I probably wasn't the best at articulating it. We had her stay overtime for touch ups and a hair change for the reception, and I am forever indebted to her for that - it was such a long day for her! My bridal party all looked beautiful--elegant and not overdone, which is exactly what we were going for. Thank you for making us look + feel stunning!

fferent than your standard bridal party makeup & hair - their work is modern and natural, and they were so easy and wonderful to work with. Elena did my hair & makeup exactly how I wanted it - I wouldn't have changed a single thing about it. The morning of my wedding I received a call from Liza that our 3rd artist had covid, but reassured me not to worry - they already had a solution and were sending Paulina, the cofounder, to step in and make sure we were all ready according to our initial schedule. They made what could have been a very stressful situation into just a little bump in the road. Would recommend this company and these artists 1000 times over!

I have never had my makeup done and not retouched it or wiped it off, so I was blown away at how perfect it turned out! This company is fantastic. Elena is fantastic. r of 2021 I had my second experience with Beauty Icon, again as a bridesmaid, but this time with Paulina. Again, I absolutely loved my hair and makeup for this event! After I booked my own wedding the first vendor I locked in was Beauty Icon. I worked with Paulina and had a wonderful experience! I knew how talented she was so I didn’t even schedule a trial. I showed her some inspiration pictures the day of and she created such a beautiful look for me. I felt amazing and I was so happy with my pictures! These girls have truly mastered the natural glam look. On top of that they are professional and so fun to work with! I highly recommend Beauty Icon and I hope I get to work with them again someday!

minute request to book 2 artists for my 2021 wedding, after I had an issue with my original vendor from another company. We were lucky to work with Galina and Kelly. Galina did my makeup and it was flawless. She is a careful and thoughtful artist who wanted to make sure I felt comfortable and beautiful. My bridesmaids loved working with Kelly as well. They all felt listened to and loved their finals looks. I highly recommend Beauty Icon!

She is great with all skin tones and face shapes too. The team at Beauty Icon made this aspect of our wedding planning a breeze!

two trials with Liza and each time she listened to exactly what I was asking for an executed it perfectly. I wanted a very natural minimalist look for makeup and Liza is probably the only makeup artist I’ve ever used who actually understood what this meant to me. I also have to give her extra props because I decided the morning of my wedding to completely change my hair style that we practiced in the trial and she didn’t skip a beat! I have literally recommended Liza and her team to all my friends getting married this year! Highly recommend!!

My wedding was in Hudson Valley - outside of NYC - but they both arrived on time promptly in the morning and stayed until our first look and helped with touch-ups, too. Everyone's makeup stayed amazingly well into the night and they all loved their looks. I would 100% recommend Beauty Icon to any future brides!

I had multiple questions leading up to my wedding, too, and Paulina was able to hop on the phone to speak with me during my stressed out moments the week of the wedding. I need someone last minute and Beauty Icon was recommended to me! I'm so glad we went with Liza Ray and Paulina's team. Anna was my artist and when we had my trial I left unsure because of the feed back that I had given her. I had a conversation with her a few days before my wedding (that's how attentive they are about getting the details right) and I told her that she did an amazing job, but what I originally wanted at my trial was not what I wanted on my day. When Anna, Karina and Alena showed up in the morning they showed so much care to all of my bridesmaids and mothers. Anna absolutely nailed the changes I wanted to make on the fly! It was perfect! She did an amazing job! All the girls were so sweet and fun to work with. If I had to make any suggestions it would be to upgrade their paying system, so that we can pay online. We did everything through Venmo and it was hard for me to keep track of everything that I owed. Overall they are a crazy talented group of women and I had the best experience!

Paulina was insanely fun to work with as her personality is both professional and up to date. Meaning that she is very relatable with everyone in the room and there was always a good laugh going on. In the times of Covid as well, Paulina was very organized and had safe practices as well. While I'm positive this is a normal procedure for Beauty Icon, it was more reassuring that all brushes were new and clean and that masks were worn. This is something I valued a lot, as we had to take major precautions for the wedding to begin with. Beauty Icon NYC and Paulina were amazing. I would easily book them again.

you couldn’t see them AT ALL. I’m usually pretty picky about my makeup, and I typically don’t wear much, and this was absolutely perfect. There was a lot on there for coverage but it didn’t look heavy at all. I’ve also never had someone do such a fantastic job with glue on eyelashes. They looked natural, and I couldn’t feel them all night. Highly recommend makeup with Galina!

bout looking overdone, but she listened to me and followed the sample photos I sent, so the look ended up being very natural, fresh, clean, and warm. She also gave me the chance to look in the mirror at various points, which I appreciated. The best part: the makeup stayed put ALL day, despite four hours of taking photos around Brooklyn, then eating dinner in the city, then taking a stroll through Central Park. My husband (also not a fan of makeup) kept commenting on what a great job she did. The individual lashes she put in lasted a week, which was an added bonus. If I ever find myself in NYC with a special occasion again, I'd book Marina/Beauty Icon in a heartbeat!

I had a trial with Liza. I explained to her that I wanted a glamorous but relatively natural look—hair down, makeup that would be subtle and complement my complexion (I’m a redhead). I showed her a few inspiration photos and from there she created a beautiful look, exactly what I wanted. The day of my wedding, Liza styled my mom and sisters’ hair—they all loved their looks—and once again created a glamorous, classic wedding look for me. Liza is also truly one of the most genuinely sweet people I’ve met. She was a joy to talk with during the hours we spent together during the trial and on the morning of my wedding. I can’t recommend BeautyIcon/Liza enough.
