Beauty On Location NJ was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. From our initial contact, their communication was fast, efficient, and effective - they responded quickly to all of our questions and were extremely organized throughout the planning process. On the day of, our makeup artist Crystal was incredibly kind, efficient, and detail-focused. Our makeup stayed flawless and beautiful all day long, and my bridesmaids and I received so many compliments. We highly recommend Beauty on Location to any couple looking for top-notch beauty services for their wedding.

I am so grateful to have found BOL through a vendor search on The Knot! I chose to do a trial with them because they were popular amongst NJ venues and most importantly, they specialized in natural glam/makeup looks that elevated one’s natural beauty. After my trial with Holly, it was a no-brainer to book them. Holly was such a pleasure to work with – funny, professional, with a great eye for palettes. Her priority was making sure that I and my family members felt their most confident, beautiful selves and was willing to make any tweaks we felt we needed. We all looked simply stunning – thank you BOL and Holly!

I found booking makeup to be one of the most stressful parts of my wedding, and with Amy it was truly wonderful. She fully understood what I was looking for, as well as what I was nervous about. As a paler bride, I struggled to find a makeup artist that wouldn't lean too warm and she really delivered! The makeup stayed all day and night, through heat and rain and she was truly wonderful to work with.

I cannot express how amazing Amy and her team were for my wedding day! The team was prompt, and ready to fufill any request (more vs less done-up, depending on the bridesmaid). It was super simple to request and get a trial for my makeup, and Amy was the sweetest person to work with! Beauty on Location was absolutely fantastic!!! They are very quick to respond and were very versatile. They have very high end and great quality makeup products. They actually ran ahead of schedule on the morning of the wedding which kept us timely and allowed for touch up’s. I am absolutely thrilled with my makeup, would not change a thing about it. Beautyonlocation was excellent to work with and Holly was amazing on my day. Prior to my July wedding they sent me a schedule organizing times for when myself, bridesmaids, and mom sit for make up. It helped the day run so smooth and one less task I had to do. Holly achieved my vision of clean and natural look. I felt beautiful and still myself!! I have always been a makeup person and I knew I wanted the right team and person for my wedding day. I wanted to make sure I looked bridal but also natural. I had seen that beauty on location was doing makeup for most of that weddings in my area, Somerset Hills, and loved that they had experience with most of the venues I was looking at! I knew BOL was the makeup team I was going to go for. I booked a trial with Amanda and she was amazing. So friendly and funny, her makeup style is anything you want - she wants to make you happy and beautiful! She is very versatile and understood my vision of natural but bridal with cool tones since I am a fairer bride. She did so good for both my rehearsal and wedding, can’t wait to use her again for other events! The rest of my bridal party loved BOL as well, they all looked beautiful and them. Can’t recommend them enough!

We loved Beauty on Location!! I had the privilege of working with them for two years in a row for my sisters wedding and then this year for my wedding. At the trials Holly was so generous and would try different makeup options on me to tailor to how I felt most confident. Holly was our lead artist and she was just absolutely amazing. Holly did exactly my makeup vision which was a natural glam but to help my features pop in photos. Beauty on Location had 14 girls makeup to do within 4 hours and they nailed it! All with perfection. Krista and Kelly were our other two artists and they are were nothing short of amazing. The makeup lasted the entire day and night with no touchups. Beauty on location was amazing to work with! Sabrina was the lead artist and she did an amazing job making me feel so beautiful and my best for my wedding day! In total we had three artists working the day of our wedding because I had a lot of bridesmaids and three moms who needed to get their makeup done, everything was amazing and everyone was so happy with the outcome of their makeup! Also they were right on schedule (even early) with the timeline they provided. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend them! ✨

We loved Beauty on Location!!! From the trial to the wedding day, Elisa was such an amazing, calming presence. She really understood the vision I was going for and I was over the moon with my makeup. Melissa was our second artist, who was equally as incredible. My in-laws are African American and it was super important to me that we had makeup artists that knew the nuances and how to properly do their skin tones. Both Elisa & Melissa did a fantastic job and they were all were super pleased with how their makeup turned out. Thank you Beauty on Location for making everyone feel gorgeous!

WOW! Where do I even begin? I could not be more thrilled with Beauty on Location and specifically Sonia who was my makeup artist for my wedding day. Throughout the entire process, they were so easy to work with. Sonia was incredibly skilled. I could not have been happier with my makeup on my wedding day. She kept it natural to still look like me, while also making me feel so incredibly beautiful and special. The best team ever!!

I really enjoyed my experience with beauty on location. I don’t typically wear makeup, so I was a bit intimidated going into the process - but Hayley made me feel so comfortable and the makeup turned out perfect. It looked super natural, wasn’t cakey, and lasted all night (truly - someone commented that they couldn’t believe how great the makeup looked even at midnight). I’d recommend doing a trial for someone who doesn’t wear much makeup (that way you can get used to it and tweak as needed). Haley was great and I’d reccomend her & the company to anyone!

I did my initial trial with Karen who was a delight. She really understood what my vision was more than I did. For my wedding I worked with Kelly who broke down the whole process and made me look even better than I could have ever imagined! Amazing staff all over, personable and easy to work with! Beauty on Location was a pleasure to work with; they are professional and very helpful in the planning process. Amanda and Sabrina were amazing!! My bridal makeup and all of my bridesmaids' makeup came out perfectly and stayed all night. Not to mention, they were so kind and easy to work with!

Erin did an amazing job with my bridal makeup! I brought a reference photo to my trial and she matched the style perfectly. At my trial and on the day of my wedding, I had a small adjustment requests and she was able to fix them without question. My bridal party said I looked like me, but elevated, which was the look I was going for (: My mom was having an eczema flare-up just before the wedding, so I greatly appreciated how accommodating the BOL planning team and Erin were to use some of her own makeup products. I had an overall great experience working with BOL throughout the wedding planning process and would definitely recommend!

Brittany was phenomenal. She worked so flawlessly with all different skin types/ages. I wanted to put her in my pocket and have her for all special occasions. Makeup lasted all night and we looked so good! Planning process was so seamless.

My bridesmaids and I had an incredible experience with Beauty on Location for our makeup! I was looking for a "natural glam" style for makeup and I felt that they captured this vision exactly! The trial was great - I showed a few inspiration photos but for the most part Monika did what she thought would look best for my features and it was perfect! Couldn't recommend them more - also we were on schedule / ahead of schedule the whole morning which gave me peace of mind as well :)

I am legit glowing in my wedding photos and cannot thank Elisa and Beauty on Location enough for making my make-up perfect for the big day! After my trial, I purchased the lip stick color. But besides that, my make-up lasted all day and was truly flawless. Elisa and Karen also did an incredible job on all my bridesmaids and Mom/MIL.

Beauty on Location was a great resource on my wedding day. There was an unfortunate situation where my original makeup artist had the flu, but they came to me with a timely solution and my makeup along with the whole bridal party was flawless.

I’m writing this review 7 months after my wedding, with a clear mind and the intention of sharing an honest and fair account of my experience. While the artists are clearly skilled and the makeup was applied well, the major issue was their refusal to listen to what we wanted and their unwillingness to make changes, even when there was more than enough time to do so. As the bride, this was incredibly upsetting, especially when I had 50 minutes left in my scheduled 90 minute makeup slot. Planning and communication beforehand were smooth, but the day-of experience was a different story. The team arrived and initially refused to use the designated makeup room. Instead, they set up in the kitchen and moved items we had prepped the night before. They did this without introducing themselves and immediately began explaining why they wouldn’t use the correct room, ignoring the direction of the venue coordinator and myself. My bridal makeup was rushed through in about 40 minutes. During that time, the artist did not have me look in a mirror to see the progress. When I finally saw the finished look, I expressed that it was too dark and not what I wanted. Rather than adjusting it, she told me to “let it sit” and reassess later despite us being ahead of schedule. Instead of using the time to correct it, she said she wasn’t going to start anyone else early and just sat around. She then asked me for coffee. When I said no, she went to my mother-in-law and asked her instead, ending up with a coffee that was meant for someone else in the wedding party. Later, she made a minor change to my makeup, but it still wasn’t what I wanted. I had to request setting spray before she packed up, and I later noticed my mascara hadn’t been fully applied. I fixed that myself. Several bridesmaids and my mom had similar experiences—asking for lighter looks or better coverage, and being told no. Most ended up redoing their makeup themselves. I was also charged a $50 travel fee per artist, only to learn that one of them traveled just 15 minutes to the venue. That felt excessive and misleading. After the wedding, I emailed to share my concerns. The owner called me but made it clear she wasn’t interested in having a real conversation. As I began explaining what happened, she interrupted several times and said, “I read your email. I just called to apologize.” She offered a discounted makeup session, but since I live in Hawaii and the wedding was in New Jersey, that wasn’t a realistic or helpful solution. She also subtly placed blame on me for not having a trial, even though that wasn’t feasible due to my location—something she knew. That’s precisely why we scheduled an extended 90-minute slot on the day of the wedding, to allow time for adjustments if needed. To make matters worse, she told me they planned to contact my photographer and videographer about my feedback. When I asked why, she said they had an existing relationship with my photographer and wanted to make sure they didn’t need to “edit the photos too much.” I told her not to involve them because my photographer hadn’t been made aware of any of this, and it felt like a way to save face rather than take accountability. Ultimately, the morning of my wedding was far more stressful than it should have been due to the team's unprofessionalism and lack of flexibility. I sincerely hope my experience encourages this company to reflect and improve for future clients.

I used Beauty on Location for my wedding in December of 2024 and they were AMAZING! I LOVED Kim from the moment I got my trial with her and knew she got the vibe I was going for perfectly!! Kim and Rachel brought the best vibes the morning of my wedding and all my girls loved their makeup! BOL was also super easy to work with and very responsive throughout the whole process! I would 100% recommend!!!

Amy and Bethany are not only incredibly talented makeup artists but also the sweetest women to work with. Their attention to detail and ability to match colors perfectly—along with their understanding of what each person wanted—was truly exceptional. Each of us ended up with a beautiful, natural look that felt just right. Amy did my (the bride’s) makeup, and she was so patient and accommodating during the trial, allowing me to experiment with different styles until we found the one I loved. She also did my mother’s makeup, and my mom, who never wears makeup, looked absolutely radiant—I've never seen her glow like that before! We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Amy and Bethany. They made the whole process fun and stress-free, and we’d wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for the perfect wedding makeup artists.

Can't recommend this team of artists enough!! I had an insanely large amount of women to get ready the morning of my wedding (19 people!) and you would never know with how efficient this team was. All of my girls were so happy with their makeup and felt beautiful and natural all day! I was blessed with Sonia as my makeup artist who made me feel so calm, comfortable, and like a more elevated version of myself, which is exactly what I was going for. I don't wear a lot of makeup day to day and she just nailed it. Amy is very easy to work with, helps with scheduling, is extremely responsive, and I can't imagine going with anyone else for my wedding day makeup!

If you are hoping to look like YOU on your wedding day but even more beautiful, then you need to go with them! My artist was Holly and she is a beautiful person inside and out and excellent at her craft! I am not very girly, and I was getting actual anxiety over having to have my makeup done for my wedding because I have never had it done and I was afraid of it not looking like me. Once I met Holly though, she had me COMPLETELY at ease, and she made me look stunning at my trial and on my wedding day. I felt like me, and it wasn't caked on makeup, it was just beautiful. My girls, my mother, and my MIL were so happy with the way they looked on the big day as well! I can rave all day about them and Holly, and I am so happy I went with them! And I can't thank Holly enough for making me feel as beautiful as I did on my big day!!

OMG. If I could rate 10 stars, I would! Kim was my lead makeup artist and she was AMAZING! Our second artist, Geena was amazing as well. They were both so professional and amazing to work with! When I had my trial with Kim, she wanted to get everything right to ensure I was happy! My makeup looked flawless all day and into the night. Kim used products that I consider high tier and have used before. You can't go wrong with hiring them for your special day!

Erin was INCREDIBLE, I can not put into words how much I loved my makeup, & how amazing she was to work with. Throughout the trial she would touch base with me to see how I liked my makeup & truely listened to what I was looking for; she made the process so seamless & I am SOO grateful for how well it turned out.
