It was built in 1892 as a "Railroad Hotel," serving as lodging for cattlemen, railroad workers, and loggers. Then, after a fire, it was bought in 1926 by W.L. Beckham, remodeled, and opened from 1928 to 1979 as the 'New' Beckham Hotel. After a number of years without guests, the hotel underwent renovations by the current owners in 2018 before opening its doors again.
