Although most of the "big" decisions had been made, the closer we got to the actual weekend, the more I realized that we would not enjoy one minute if there was not someone there to run the events. I knew there would be competition for my date with planner, venues, etc. and I didn't want to waste any time so I actually started interviewing planners weeks before I was engaged. I was quickly disheartened. A highly rated planner that I thought I wanted was 27 minutes late for our scheduled interview of 30 minutes and when she finally called, she was very blasé about my plans and vision. I wanted every part of my wedding and the planning process to be fun and intentional; it was obvious my time and dreams were not a priority to her. I interviewed four other planners and after wincing through poorly written websites, typos on almost every email, and poor reviews from their own references, I was getting really discouraged. Then I found Becky's Brides and I swear it's almost like the heavens started singing. The website was professionally done, the blog had wonderful attention to detail, and Becky was sooooo prompt and on point with every interaction. Now, I will tell you, I am a frugal girl and love to be budget savvy when I can be, so I initially wavered because of the price tag. For like a millisecond. Because then I remembered this quote: Price indicates value so charge accordingly. Becky and her associates are worth every single penny. A planner is a huge part of your entire process and not an area to skimp. Becky was patient and longsuffering while dealing with all of my crazy ideas. I never once felt that she wouldn't support me even if she recommended a different course of action. She let me know I had final say and she would carry my vision through to fruition no matter how off-the-wall it was. Her feedback and input were invaluable. I was probably a tiring client for her because I like to ask tons of questions and I'm known to play devil's advocate by poking at the status quo. She was never flustered. Her response was always well thought out and colored with examples from her personal experience with whatever I was questioning. Honestly, the most difficult part of her job was probably dealing with me. She handled everything like the professional she is. Although I mostly dealt with Becky, I also had the opportunity to work with her associate, Taylor. It's obvious Becky is just as careful in choosing her team as she is in planning wedding details because Taylor is a gem. I genuinely appreciate her warmth and work ethic. It was apparent that she took our wedding to heart and made every effort to ensure we had a flawless wedding day. When a girl will run up and down several flights of stairs like her life depends on it just to bring you a safety pin, you know she's dedicated to her job. For Becky and Taylor, it's obvious their work is more than a career-- it's a calling. That's who you want in charge of the most important day of your life.

Becky is the absolute best there is. Hands down. She has every quality that you want in a wedding planner--she is organized, diligent, and responsive. As a Birmingham transplant, I would have been lost in a sea of Google reviews of photographers, videographers, and caterers without Becky's guidance. The team she helps you put together is the best there is in any field. Fast forward to the wedding day, and it was flawless. Becky and her team take care of every single detail from making sure the band is set up to making sure guests don't end up in the background of your photos. This thoughtful, kind-hearted southern belle is also fiercely dedicated to her brides, wildly passionate about her work, and sweetly assertive when it matters most. She is decisive but not pushy; educates but does not preach; and truly listens to her brides, grooms, and families. Honestly, we interviewed several planners and she was the ONLY one who asked me about my groom, my vision, must-haves and must-not-haves, all during our first conversation! I planned my entire wedding from Chicago, and Becky worked with me through a super hectic work schedule with FaceTime meetings and a few trips down South--during which she managed to schedule vendor meetings, hotel walk-throughs, hair/makeup trials, and engagement photos, and prevented me from having several meltdowns over budgets and timelines. For 8 months we planned an outdoor wedding with 300 invited guests...and then Hurricane Nate decided to make its way up from the coast. Becky was not phased. She perfected our "Plan B" no more than 36 hours prior to the wedding, and then worked tirelessly for about 36 hours straight with all of our incredible vendors through a tropical storm to create an impeccable rehearsal dinner, pack it all up, and bring certain pieces to the wedding venue 6 hours later..and set up completely new floor plans for the rain plan. "Plan B" was better than I could have ever imagined--and Becky literally covered EVERY. SINGLE. DETAIL! I am extremely detail-oriented myself, but I never could have imagined all of the tiny minutia that Becky whipped up for us! I seriously LOVE this woman with all my heart, and she truly grew from wedding planner to friend throughout this stress-inducing, emotional process. I could go on forever about how great she was with parents, in-laws, other vendors, the bridal party, dealing with my constant tardiness and knit-picking...but I'll spare you all by just simply saying that she will be the best wedding decision you'll ever make, she's worth every penny (more like priceless), and she will NOT disappoint!!!

Throughout the wedding and reception, family and friends told us that the wedding was a perfect reflection of my daughter's personality, and it was Becky that pulled that out of her! Throughout the wedding planning process, my daughter had an extremely busy schedule, making scheduling meetings difficult. But Becky never expressed any impatience, and she was always so accommodating and willing to meet us whenever was convenient for us. The wedding day itself, Becky and Taylor were in so much sync. They were in total control, and I never had to worry about a thing the entire day. I knew they had everything taken care of. Becky and Taylor were also very in-tune to the bride's emotions, and they were sure to tell the bridesmaids that if the bride were feeling overwhelmed or if something were going wrong, they would take care of it immediately. The bride was at ease the entire day, we were all able to have fun and not worry about a thing, and we always felt so taken care of. We absolutely love Becky and Taylor, and we will always rave about our experience with them!
